The invention realizes the automation of the process of checking and accepting the electric power materials by using the method of recognizing the images and the characters, changes the traditional manual checking and accepting and document transferring mode and saves a large amount of manpower and material resources. The method can also quickly identify the materials which do not meet the standard by combining with manual acceptance, avoid warehousing of unqualified materials, and ensure the safety and stability of the power system. Meanwhile, on the basis of initially inputting a part of the existing material information, along with the continuous accumulation and enrichment of data by the system, the type and model of the material can be identified more accurately.
