The display device 100 includes: a signal receiving port 110, a switching circuit 120, a display panel 130 and a display control circuit 140.
The signal receiving port 110 is configured to receive a mouse input signal MIS. In one embodiment, the signal receiving port 110 is, for example, but not limited to, a Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection interface, to electrically couple to a mouse 150 external to the display device 100 and receive a mouse input signal MIS from the mouse 150.
The switching circuit 120 includes an input terminal IN, a first output terminal O1, and a second output terminal O2. Wherein the switching circuit 120 is configured to receive the mouse input signal MIS from the signal receiving port 110 through the input terminal IN. Further, the switching circuit 120 selectively transmits the mouse input signal MIS to one of the first output terminal O1 and the second output terminal O2 according to different operation modes.
In one embodiment, the switching circuit 120 can selectively operate in the mouse signal transmission mode and the OSD control mode according to the switch signal SCS. In one embodiment, the switch signal SCS may be selectively generated from the computer host 160 of the display apparatus 100 or from physical buttons (not shown) included in the display apparatus 100, so that the switching circuit 120 switches between the mouse signal transmission mode and the on-screen display control mode.
In the mouse signal transfer mode, the switching circuit 120 transfers the mouse input signal MIS to the first output terminal O1. In one embodiment, the first output terminal O1 is electrically coupled to a computer host 160 of the display device 100. In one embodiment, the electrical coupling between the computer host 160 and the first output O1 of the display device 100 is performed through a path such as, but not limited to, a Type-C (Type-C) usb standard, so as to achieve the purpose of bidirectional transmission.
Therefore, the computer host 160 can transmit the display data (not shown) to the display device 100 through the path between the first output O1 and the computer host 160, and for example, the display data is transmitted to the display control circuit 140 through the path (not shown) between the first output O1 and the display control circuit 140 in the display device 100, and then displayed on the display panel 130 after being processed.
Meanwhile, the display device 100 can also transmit the mouse input signal MIS to the computer host 160 through the first output terminal O1 through the path between the first output terminal O1 and the computer host 160 by the configuration of the switching circuit 120, so as to control the computer host 160.
