Description

Paging indication method, device, equipment and system
Technical Field
The present application belongs to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a paging indication method, apparatus, device, and system.
Background
In a communication system, a User Equipment (UE) may first monitor whether a paging-radio network temporary identifier (P-RNTI) is carried on a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) at a paging time (PO) on a corresponding Paging Frame (PF) in a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle, and then determine whether a paging message is carried on a corresponding Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH). Specifically, when the UE resolves the P-RNTI carried on the PDCCH, the UE may receive data (i.e., a paging message) on the PDSCH according to a parameter of the PDSCH indicated on the PDCCH, and when the paging message carries a UE identity (UE ID) list, match the identity of the UE with the UE ID in the list to determine whether the paging message is calling the UE itself.
However, when any UE in a group of UEs with the same PO needs to be paged and the UE ID related information is included in the PDSCH corresponding to the PO, the group of UEs may resolve the P-RNTI on the PDCCH and then receive the paging message on the PDSCH. However, only the UE that needs to be paged finds its own UE ID in the UE ID list carried in the paging message, and after receiving the paging message, other UEs do not find their own UE ID in the UE ID list carried in the paging message, that is, the UE that does not need to be paged also unnecessarily receives the paging message on the PDSCH, which wastes power consumption of the UE.

Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present application, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are some, but not all, embodiments of the present application. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present application.
The terms first, second and the like in the description and in the claims of the present application are used for distinguishing between similar elements and not necessarily for describing a particular sequential or chronological order. It will be appreciated that the data so used may be interchanged under appropriate circumstances such that embodiments of the application may be practiced in sequences other than those illustrated or described herein, and that the terms "first," "second," and the like are generally used herein in a generic sense and do not limit the number of terms, e.g., the first term can be one or more than one. In addition, "and/or" in the specification and claims means at least one of connected objects, a character "/" generally means that a preceding and succeeding related objects are in an "or" relationship.
The following explains some concepts and/or terms involved in the paging indication method, apparatus, device and system provided in the embodiments of the present application.
Paging (paging) mechanism: the network equipment can send paging to the UE in an idle state, an inactive state and a connection state, and the paging process can be triggered by the core network equipment and is used for informing certain UE of receiving a paging request; or triggered by a base station (eNodeB/gNB) and used for notifying system information updating and notifying UE to receive information such as ETWS and CMAS.
In a DRX period, the UE can monitor whether the PDCCH carries the P-RNTI only at the paging time (PO) on the corresponding paging radio frame (PF) and then judge whether the corresponding PDSCH carries a paging message.
If the UE resolves the P-RNTI carried on the PDCCH, receiving data on the PDSCH according to the PDSCH parameters indicated on the PDCCH; if the paging message (data on PDSCH) received by the UE has the UE ID list, the terminal needs to match the UE ID carried in the paging message with its own UE ID to determine whether the paging message is calling itself.
If the UE does not resolve the P-RNTI on the PDCCH, the UE can enter the sleep mode according to the DRX period without receiving a PDSCH physical channel. With this mechanism, in one DRX cycle, the UE can receive the PDCCH only at the time position where the PO occurs, and then receive the PDSCH as needed.

Optionally, in this embodiment of the application, when the first mapping mode is a value mapping mode, the paging indication information includes a paging indication value.
It should be noted that, for a single mode (i.e. a bit-mapped mode or a value-mapped mode), the paging indicator value is mapped to a specific UE packet according to a first mapping mode to indicate whether it is paged or not.
Optionally, in this embodiment of the application, when the first mapping mode is a hybrid mapping mode, the paging indication information includes mode indication information and a paging indication value.
It should be noted that, for the hybrid mapping mode, the mode indication information (which may also be a mode indication bit (Pattern)) is one or more bits, and a value of the mode indication information indicates a mapping mode (i.e., a second mapping mode in the following embodiments) to which the UE packet is mapped. A Paging Indicator Value (Paging Indicator Value) whose Value is mapped to a specific UE packet according to a first mapping mode to indicate whether it is paged.
Also, the paging indication information may be one number, and the mode indication bit and the paging indication value may be different bits therein. In a specific implementation mode, the high-order 1bit is a mode indication bit, and other low-order bits are paging indication values.
Optionally, in this embodiment of the present application, the first mapping mode is a hybrid mapping mode. The step 202c can be realized by the following steps 202c1 and 202c 2.
Step 202c1, in the hybrid mapping mode, the UE parses the paging indication information to obtain the mode indication information in the paging indication information, and determines the second mapping mode according to the mode indication information.
In an embodiment of the present application, the second mapping mode is a bit mapping mode or a value mapping mode.
Step 202c2, the UE determines at least one UE group corresponding to the paging indication information by using the second mapping mode.

In this embodiment of the present application, the UE may determine at least one UE group according to the paging indication information, determine whether the UE is in the at least one UE group, and receive the paging message, i.e., determine that the UE is paged, when the UE is a UE in any UE group of the at least one UE group.
In the embodiment of the application, if the UE determines to be paged, the UE continues to receive the corresponding paging PDSCH information (e.g., paging message); if the UE determines that the PDSCH information is not paged, the UE may not receive the corresponding PDSCH information.
It is to be understood that in the embodiment of the present application, the paging message may be received by indicating some UEs in a group of UEs having the same PO so that the UEs determine to be paged. And, the UEs may be divided into at least one UE group, each UE group including at least one of the UEs.
The embodiment of the application provides a paging indication method, wherein a UE may receive paging indication information according to target information (including related information of a paging indication), and determine whether the UE receives a paging message according to the paging indication information (used for indicating at least one UE group to be paged by a network device). For a group of UEs with the same PO, since the UE may determine the paging indication information according to the related information of the paging indication to determine the corresponding UE group, i.e., the UE group to be paged by the network device, so that the UE determines whether the UE itself is paged according to at least one UE group to determine whether to receive the paging message, it is possible to avoid that all UEs in the group of UEs with the same PO receive the paging message, thereby reducing power consumption of the UEs that do not need to receive the paging message.
