技术领域
本发明涉及一种发光显示设备及其驱动方法。
背景技术
随着信息技术发展,作为连接用户与信息的连接媒介的显示设备的市场逐渐增长。因此,诸如发光显示设备、量子点显示(QDD)设备和液晶显示(LCD)设备之类的显示设备的应用逐渐增加。
上述显示设备包括:包括多个子像素的显示面板、输出用于驱动显示面板的驱动信号的驱动器、以及向显示面板或驱动器提供电力的电源。
在这种显示设备中,当向设置在显示面板中的每个子像素提供驱动信号(例如,扫描信号和数据信号)时,选定的子像素可透射光或可自发光,因而可显示图像。
在上述显示设备中,发光显示设备具有诸如快速响应时间、高亮度和宽视角之类的电光学特性以及能够以柔性膜实现的机械特性。然而,在将发光显示设备应用于各种应用方面存在限制,因而需要继续研究来克服此限制。
发明内容
为了克服相关技术的前述问题,本发明可提供一种其中发光显示设备及其驱动方法,其中精确感测并补偿显示面板中包括的有机发光二极管的劣化并且简化补偿装置的配置。
为了实现这些目的和其他优点并根据本发明的意图,如在此具体化和概括描述的,一种发光显示设备包括:显示图像的显示面板;向所述显示面板提供驱动电压的电源;向所述显示面板提供数据电压的数据驱动器;控制所述电源和所述数据驱动器的时序控制器;和感测电路单元,所述感测电路单元接收所述驱动电压的反馈分量作为反馈电压并且基于所述电源的内部控制信号选择性地感测所述反馈电压中的电性稳定区间。
所述感测电路单元可检测所述控制信号的上升时间,从而从感测区间排除电性不稳定区间,并且可在从所述控制信号的上升时间起经过确定延迟时间之后感测所述反馈电压。

下文中,将参照附图更充分地描述本发明,在附图中示出了本发明的示例性实施方式。然而,本发明可以以诸多不同的形式实施,不应解释为限于在此阐述的实施方式;而是,提供这些实施方式是为了使本发明的公开内容全面和完整,并且将本发明的构思完全传递给所属领域技术人员。
根据本发明的发光显示设备可应用于电视(TV)、视频播放器、个人电脑(PC)、家庭影院、用于车辆的电子装置和智能电话,但不限于此。根据本发明的发光显示设备可由无机发光二极管或有机发光二极管实现。然而,下文中,为了便于描述,将作为示例描述基于有机发光二极管实现的有机发光显示设备。
图1是示意性图解发光显示设备的框图,图2是示意性图解图1中所示的子像素的配置图。
如图1和图2中所示,根据本发明实施方式的发光显示设备可包括视频提供单元110、时序控制器120、扫描驱动器130、数据驱动器140、显示面板150和电源180。
视频提供单元110(或主机系统)可输出从外部提供的视频数据信号或者存储在其内部存储器中的视频数据信号和各种驱动信号。视频提供单元110可向时序控制器120提供数据信号和各种驱动信号。
时序控制器120可输出用于控制扫描驱动器130的操作时序的栅极时序控制信号GDC、用于控制数据驱动器140的操作时序的数据时序控制信号DDC、以及各种同步信号(例如,垂直同步信号Vsync和水平同步信号Hsync)。时序控制器120可向数据驱动器140提供数据时序控制信号DDC和从视频提供单元110提供的数据信号DATA。时序控制器120可实现为集成电路(IC)方式并且可安装在印刷电路板(PCB)上,但不限于此。
扫描驱动器130可响应于从时序控制器120提供的栅极时序控制信号GDC输出扫描信号(或扫描电压)。扫描驱动器130可通过多条扫描线GL1至GLm将扫描信号提供至显示面板150中包括的多个子像素。扫描驱动器130可实现为IC方式或者可以以面板内栅极(GIP)方式直接设置在显示面板150上,但不限于此。
响应于从时序控制器120提供的数据时序控制信号DDC,数据驱动器140可采样并锁存数据信号DATA,基于伽马基准电压将数字数据信号转换为模拟数据电压,并且输出模拟数据电压。数据驱动器140可通过多条数据线DL1至DLn将数据电压分别提供至显示面板150的子像素。数据驱动器140可实现为IC方式或者可安装在显示面板150或PCB上,但不限于此。
电源180可基于从外部提供的外部输入电压产生并输出具有高电平的第一驱动电力EVDD和具有低电平的第二驱动电力EVSS。除了第一驱动电力EVDD和第二驱动电力EVSS以外,电源180还可产生并输出扫描驱动器130的驱动所需的电压(例如,扫描高电压和扫描低电压)或数据驱动器140的驱动所需的电压(例如,漏极电压(drain voltage)和半漏极电压(half drain voltage))。
显示面板150可基于扫描信号、包括数据电压的驱动信号、第一驱动电力EVDD和第二驱动电力EVSS显示图像。显示面板150的每个子像素可自发光。可基于具有刚度或柔性的基板,诸如玻璃、硅或聚酰亚胺制造显示面板150。此外,发射光的子像素可包括红色子像素、绿色子像素和蓝色红色子像素,或者可包括红色子像素、绿色子像素、蓝色红色子像素和白色子像素。
例如,一个子像素SP可包括具有开关晶体管、驱动晶体管、存储电容器和有机发光二极管的像素电路。应用于发光显示设备的子像素SP可自发光,因而电路配置可变得复杂。此外,子像素SP可进一步包括各种电路,比如补偿发光的有机发光二极管的劣化以及向有机发光二极管提供驱动电流的驱动晶体管的劣化的补偿电路。因此,假设子像素SP是块的形式而被简单示出。
上文中,时序控制器120、扫描驱动器130和数据驱动器140的每一个被描述为单独的元件。然而,基于发光显示设备的实现方式,时序控制器120、扫描驱动器130和数据驱动器140中的一个或多个可集成到一个IC中。
图3至图5是用于描述与发光显示设备中的劣化相关的部分的示图。
如图3至图5中所示,显示面板中包括的子像素的驱动晶体管DT和有机发光二极管OLED可基于固定的第一驱动电压EVDD和第二驱动电压EVSS操作。有机发光二极管OLED可随着驱动时间的经过而劣化。
当有机发光二极管OLED劣化时,正向电压Vf可增加。此外,有机发光二极管OLED的正向电压Vf的增加会降低驱动晶体管DT的源极-漏极电压Vds。
当有机发光二极管OLED劣化时,尽管驱动晶体管DT的电压-电流曲线(DT VI曲线)不变,但有机发光二极管OLED的电压-电流曲线(OLED VI曲线)移动(第一驱动电压EVDD和第二驱动电压EVSS的差值出现变化,由Δ(EVDD-EVSS)表示),因而从初始电流与基于劣化的电流之间的差可以看出输出电流降低。此外,当有机发光二极管OLED的输出电流基于劣化的程度而降低时,有机发光二极管OLED的发光效率会随着时间(T)降低,图5中的NH中的N表示大于50的值。
本发明的实施方式可提出用于解决上述问题的以下补偿装置。
图6是用于描述根据本发明第一实施方式的发光显示设备的框图,图7是图6中所示的电源的第一配置图,图8是图6中所示的电源的第二配置图。
如图6至图8中所示,根据本发明第一实施方式的发光显示设备可包括时序控制器120、显示面板150、电源180、无源元件单元185和感测电路单元190。
电源180可通过每一个都与显示面板150(其中的AA表示有源区域)连接的第一驱动电源线EVDDL和第二驱动电源线EVSSL提供第一驱动电压EVDD和第二驱动电压EVSS。电源180可与设置在外部的无源元件单元185协同操作,以便提高驱动稳定性。无源元件单元185可包括具有电阻器R和电容器C的多个无源元件。
感测电路单元190可基于流过连接部的电压CMPV确定在显示面板150中包括的元件中是否发生劣化,其中连接部用于电源180与无源元件单元185之间的电连接。当感测流过连接部的电压CMPV时,可感测出基于显示面板150中包括的有机发光二极管的劣化导致的电流的变化。因此,当基于流过连接部的电压CMPV感测电流的降低程度时,可检查有机发光二极管的劣化程度并且可补偿劣化。
感测电路单元190可包括第一感测电路单元160和第二感测电路单元170。
第一感测电路单元160可通过反馈线FBL连接至用于电源180与无源元件单元185之间的电连接的连接部。第一感测电路单元160可通过反馈线FBL感测连接部中的电压CMPV并且可将感测的CMPV传输(反馈)到第二感测电路单元170。可基于输入阻抗较大的电路实现第一感测电路单元160,以便不会不利地影响反馈线FBL。
第二感测电路单元170可基于从第一感测电路单元160传输的电压CMPV计算用于确定在显示面板150中包括的有机发光二极管中是否发生劣化的感测值。第二感测电路单元170可基于感测值确定在有机发光二极管中是否发生劣化,或者可将感测值传输至时序控制器120,以帮助时序控制器120确定在有机发光二极管中是否发生劣化。
第二感测电路单元170可基于电源180的操作特性执行感测操作。为此,第二感测电路单元170和电源180之间可通过信号线SYNCL电连接。第二感测电路单元170可基于通过信号线SYNCL传输的控制信号SYNCS,针对确定区间(certain period)、确定时间和确定计数来计算感测值。
时序控制器120可通过与第二感测电路单元170连接的通讯接口I2C接收由感测电路单元190计算的感测值,并且可基于接收的感测值补偿有机发光二极管中的劣化。连接在时序控制器120与第二感测电路单元170之间的通讯接口I2C例如可由I2C实现,但不限于此。
在上面的描述中,电源180和感测电路单元190的每一个例如可实现为独立的装置,但是感测电路单元190可包括在电源180中。下文中,将作为示例描述用于感测显示面板150的电压的配置。
如图7和图8中所示,电源180可包括用于输出和反馈第一驱动电压的多个第一电源电路单元181至183、以及用于输出和反馈第二驱动电压的多个第二电源电路单元186至187。
第一电源电路单元181至183可包括第一脉冲信号产生单元181、第一驱动电压输出单元182和第一驱动电压反馈单元183。第一脉冲信号产生单元181可产生和输出用于控制第一驱动电压输出单元182的第一脉宽调制信号。第一驱动电压输出单元182可基于从第一脉冲信号产生单元181输出的第一脉宽调制信号产生和输出第一驱动电压EVDD。第一驱动电压反馈单元183可将通过与显示面板连接的第一驱动电源线EVDDL输出的第一驱动电压EVDD反馈到第一脉冲信号产生单元181和无源元件单元185。
第二电源电路单元186至188可包括第二脉冲信号产生单元186、第二驱动电压输出单元187和第二驱动电压反馈单元188。第二脉冲信号产生单元186可产生和输出用于控制第二驱动电压输出单元187的第二脉宽调制信号。第二驱动电压输出单元187可基于从第二脉冲信号产生单元186输出的第二脉宽调制信号产生和输出第二驱动电压EVSS。第二驱动电压反馈单元188可将通过与显示面板连接的第二驱动电源线EVSSL输出的第二驱动电压EVSS反馈到第二脉冲信号产生单元186和无源元件单元185。
从图7和图8看出,用于通过第一驱动电源线EVDDL和第二驱动电源线EVSSL反馈第一驱动电压EVDD和第二驱动电压EVSS的第一驱动电压反馈单元183和第二驱动电压反馈单元188可设置在电源180的内部或外部。
在如图8中一样第一驱动电压反馈单元183和第二驱动电压反馈单元188设置在电源180外部的情况下,可在具体位置设置第一驱动电压反馈线EVDDFL和第二驱动电压反馈线EVSSFL并且可从第一驱动电压反馈线EVDDFL和第二驱动电压反馈线EVSSFL直接感测电压。然而,当如图7中一样第一驱动电压反馈单元183和第二驱动电压反馈单元188设置在电源180内并且间接感测电压时,可降低装置的复杂性。
图9和图10是用于详细描述根据本发明第二实施方式的发光显示设备的电源和感测电路单元的每一个的配置的框图。
如图9中所示,电源180的第一电源电路单元181至183可包括第一脉冲信号产生单元181(PWM GEN)、第一驱动电压输出单元182和第一驱动电压反馈单元183。
第一脉冲信号产生单元181可产生和输出用于控制第一驱动电压输出单元182的第一脉宽调制信号。第一脉冲信号产生单元181可基于第一脉宽调制信号控制第一驱动电压输出单元182中包括的至少两个开关元件SW1和SW2的每一个。
第一驱动电压输出单元182可基于从第一脉冲信号产生单元181输出的第一脉宽调制信号产生和输出第一驱动电压EVDD。第一驱动电压输出单元182可包括至少两个开关元件SW1和SW2、至少一个电感器Lx、和至少一个电容器CO,但不限于此。
至少两个开关元件SW1和SW2可具有串联连接在每个都设置于电源180中的高电压端子与低电压端子之间的结构。至少两个开关元件SW1和SW2可基于第一脉宽调制信号导通/关断并且可输出电压,电感器Lx和电容器CO可对从至少两个开关元件SW1和SW2输出的电压充电/放电并且可输出第一驱动电压EVDD。
第一驱动电压反馈单元183可将通过与显示面板连接的第一驱动电压线EVDDL输出的第一驱动电压EVDD反馈到第一脉冲信号产生单元181和无源元件单元185。第一驱动电压反馈单元183可包括第一电路单元183a、第二电路单元183b和第三电路单元183c。
第一电路单元183a可基于从第二电路单元183b输出的输出电压和从设置在电源180中的控制器输出的同步信号SAW输出第一脉冲信号产生单元181的操作所需的电压。同步信号SAW可通过信号线SYNCL传输至感测电路单元190。就是说,第一电路单元183a的同步信号SAW可用作感测电路单元190的同步信号。
第一脉冲信号产生单元181可基于从第一驱动电压反馈单元183输出的电压改变驱动条件,比如第一脉宽调制信号的频率或周期。为此,第一电路单元183a可包括:与第二电路单元183b的输出端子连接的反相端子(-)、与设置在电源180中的控制器连接的非反相端子(+)、以及与第一脉冲信号产生单元181连接的输出端子。
第二电路单元183b可基于从第三电路单元183c传输的反馈第一驱动电压和从设置在电源180中的基准电压产生单元输出的基准电压来输出第一电路单元183a的操作所需的反馈电压。
第二电路单元183b可将反馈第一驱动电压与基准电压进行比较并且可基于比较结果输出低电压或高电压反馈电压。为此,第二电路单元183b的反相端子(-)可与第三电路单元183c的分压节点FB连接,第二电路单元183b的非反相端子(+)可与基准电压端子VREF连接,并且第二电路单元183b的输出端子可与第一电路单元183a的反相端子(-)连接。通过第二电路单元183b的输出端子输出的反馈电压可受每一个都包括在无源元件单元185中的电阻器R和电容器C影响。就是说,通过第二电路单元183b的输出端子输出的反馈电压可具有因基于每一个都包括在无源元件单元185中的电阻器R和电容器C的时间常数而改变的输出波形。
第三电路单元183c可将通过电源180的输出端子输出的第一驱动电压反馈到第一驱动电压反馈单元183的内部。第三电路单元183c可包括第一电阻器RB1和第二电阻器RB2。第一电阻器RB1的一端可与电源180的输出端子连接,第二电阻器RB2的另一端可与设置在电源180中的低电压端子连接,第一电阻器RB1的另一端和第二电阻器RB2的一端可共同连接至分压节点FB。
如图10中所示,第一感测电路单元160可将通过分馈线FBL传输的反馈电压CMPV,即,第一驱动电压的反馈分量传输到第二感测电路单元170。可基于输入阻抗较大的放大器160实现第一感测电路单元160,以便不会影响反馈线FBL。
放大器160可由电压跟随器实现,电压跟随器能将输入电压作为输出电压照原样传输。为此,放大器160可包括:与反馈线FBL连接的非反相端子(+)、以及与第二感测电路单元170中包括的ADC 174的输入端子连接的反相端子(-)。
第二感测电路单元170可基于从第一感测电路单元160传输的反馈电压CMPV计算用于确定在显示面板150中包括的有机发光二极管中是否发生劣化的感测值。第二感测电路单元170可包括上升触发器(rising trigger)(或信号检测器)171、延迟器(或延迟电路)172、定时器173、模数转换器(ADC)174、均值滤波器175和存储器176。其中上升触发器171、延迟器(或延迟电路)172、定时器173也可设置在第二感测电路单元170的外部。
上升触发器171可检测通过信号线SYNCL传输的控制信号SYNCS中的上升沿区间(检测控制信号的上升时间)并且可触发延迟器172的操作的开始。
延迟器172可从通过信号线SYNCL传输的控制信号SYNCS的上升时间起延迟确定时间或某一时间。延迟器172可基于上升触发器171的触发来操作定时器173。
定时器173可基于从延迟器172传输的信号确定是否执行确定时间的感测操作。为此,定时器173可输出用于实现ADC 174操作的使能信号和用于禁止ADC 174的操作的禁能信号。就是说,可通过定时器173确定ADC174的感测时间。
ADC 174可基于从定时器173输出的使能信号执行转换(感测)从第一感测电路单元160传输的反馈电压CMPV的操作。基于使能信号,ADC174可接收N(其中N是1或更大的整数)次模拟反馈电压CMPV并且可将模拟反馈电压CMPV转换为数字感测值,并输出数字感测值。
均值滤波器175可将从ADC 174输出的N个感测值取平均,以输出平均感测值。为此,均值滤波器175可实现为均值滤波器,但不限于此。
存储器176可存储从均值滤波器175输出的感测值。存储器176可包括基于时间、日期或年份依次存储从均值滤波器175输出的感测值的存储空间。存储器176也可存储初始感测值。存储在存储器176中的感测值可通过通讯接口I2C传输至时序控制器120。
当平均感测值大于时序控制器120中定义的基准值时,时序控制器120可执行补偿有机发光二极管的补偿操作;当平均感测值小于基准值时,时序控制器120可不补偿有机发光二极管。
除了上升触发器171、延迟器172、定时器173和ADC 174之外,均值滤波器175和存储器176可包括在时序控制器120中。此外,上升触发器171、延迟器172、定时器173和ADC174可包括在电源中。
图11是用于描述根据本发明第三实施方式的发光显示设备的感测方法的流程图,图12至图14是用于描述根据本发明第三实施方式的发光显示设备的感测方法的波形图。下文中,为了帮助理解,将参照图9和图10描述根据本发明第三实施方式的发光显示设备的感测方法。
如图11中所示,根据本发明第三实施方式的发光显示设备的感测方法可包括在显示面板区域中显示图案的操作(步骤S110)、确定在有机发光二极管(OLED)中是否发生劣化的操作(步骤S190)、以及其他操作,并且可按以下顺序执行。
在显示面板区域中显示图案的操作(步骤S110)中,可使用容易确定显示面板150中的劣化的专门(具体)图案,但不限于此。
当在显示面板区域中显示图案时,为了电源180与感测电路单元190之间的同步,可执行确定传输到感测电路单元190的控制信号SYNCS是否上升的操作(步骤S120)。
当电源180与感测电路单元190同步(“是”)时,可执行延迟操作(步骤S130),以在经过确定时间之后执行通过连接部感测反馈电压CMPV的感测步骤。然而,当电源180未与感测电路单元190同步(“否”)时,可再次执行在显示面板区域中显示图案的操作(步骤S110)。
随后,可输出用于实现ADC 174操作的逻辑高使能信号(ADC使能高),以执行ADC174的反馈电压CMPV感测操作(步骤S140),并且为了设定感测区间(sensing period),可执行将输入时间T与定时器173中设定的设定时间进行比较的操作(步骤S145)。
当设定时间(定时器)大于输入时间T(“是”)时,可执行输出用于停止ADC 174的操作的逻辑低使能信号(ADC使能低)的操作(步骤S148)。在输出逻辑低使能信号(ADC使能低)的操作(步骤S148)之后,感测方法可返回到确定传输到感测电路单元190的控制信号SYNCS是否上升(ELIC Sync信号上升)的操作(步骤S120),以进行下一级感测。
下面将描述在电源180与感测电路单元190同步之后感测方法包括延迟操作(步骤S130)以及输出与ADC 174的操作相关的使能信号的操作(步骤S148)的原因。
如图11至图14中所示,通过感测电路单元190的反馈线FBL传输的反馈电压CMPV可包括第一区间ST1和第二区间ST2。第一区间ST1可以是基于电源180的内部开关操作而具有诸如过冲(overshoot)之类的噪声分量的区间,第二区间ST2可以是随着诸如过冲之类的噪声分量被去除而稳定的区间。诸如第一区间ST1之类的噪声现象可对应于用于驱动电源180的内部开关的脉宽调制信号SPWM的上升沿区间。
可执行延迟操作(步骤S130),以将由于过冲而电性不稳定的第一区间ST1定义为非感测区域NSSA并且将电性稳定的第二区间ST2定义为感测区域SSA。当执行在感测区域SSA中去除不稳定的第一区间ST1的信号延迟步骤时,可仅选择性地获得稳定的分量,因而可提高感测的精度。
为了设定感测区间,可执行将输入时间T与定时器173中设定的设定时间进行比较的操作(步骤S145),并且为了控制ADC 174的操作,可采用输出逻辑高使能信号的操作(步骤S140)和输出逻辑低使能信号的操作(步骤S148)。
当输出逻辑高使能信号(ADC使能高)时,ADC 174可执行读取通过反馈线FBL传输的反馈电压CMPV的操作(步骤S150)(ELIC Comp ADC读取),从而执行感测操作。
当输出逻辑高使能信号(ADC使能高)时,ADC 174可与感测操作一起执行设定感测计数的操作(步骤S155)(读取Count=N)。ADC 174可接收N(其中N是1或更大的整数)次模拟反馈电压CMPV并且可将模拟反馈电压CMPV转换为数字感测值,从而输出数字感测值。对于ADC 174的N次感测,可检查计数值Count是否满足N。当计数值不满足N(“否”)时,感测方法可返回到读取反馈电压CMPV的操作(步骤S150)。
然而,当计数值满足N(“是”)时,可完成ADC 174的感测操作,并且可执行将计数值Count初始化为0(读取Count 0)的操作(步骤S160)。基于这个操作,ADC 174的感测操作可停止。
当ADC 174的感测操作停止时,可执行将N次计算的感测值取平均(ADC读取均值)的操作(步骤S170)。可执行操作(步骤S180),将平均感测值与其中定义的基准值进行比较(ADC<V),以确定平均感测值是大于还是小于基准值。当平均感测值V大于基准值ADC(“是”)时,可确定有机发光二极管中的劣化(OLED劣化)(步骤S190)。然而,当平均感测值不大于基准值(“否”)时,有机发光二极管没有劣化,因而可执行下次感测操作。
图15至图18是用于描述根据本发明的实施方式,与感测原理和驱动模式相关的部分的示图。图19是用于描述使用根据本发明实施方式的发光显示设备的补偿方法的示图。
如图15和图16中所示,在根据本发明实施方式的电源中,当输出电压固定时,占空比D可基于负载而变化。然而,可基于占空比产生输出电压,所以可以看出占空比的变化与输出电流无关。然而,当占空比固定时,可以看出随着输出电流(归一化电流)减小,输出电压(归一化电压)增加。
本发明可基于随着输出电流在电源的不连续传导模式DCM中减小,开关占空比减小的理念以及基于通过感测一电路的输出电压能够确定占空比减小的现象。在将上述理念应用于本发明的情况下,当输出电流降低时,占空比可降低,并且当占空比降低时,感测的电压可降低。输出电流降低可用作表示有机发光二极管劣化的指标。
为此,电源可设定开关频率的最低值以使得容易确定占空比变化,释放强制连续传导模式(FCCM),并且将电路的输出电压设定为最低值。在这种情况下,用作控制信号的锯齿波的斜度可增加,因而电路的输出电压可增加。用作控制信号的锯齿波可以是用于控制诸如电源中包括的降压转换器控制逻辑之类的脉冲信号产生单元的控制信号之一。
FCCM可以是强制执行连续传导模式(CCM)以强制操作电源的内部开关的模式。与CCM不同,不连续传导模式(DCM)可具有由于因谐振导致的电源的输出端的波动而变化较大的区间VZA。因此,随着输出电流减小,开关占空比可减小,并且电源可在通过感测一电路的输出电压确定占空比减小量的DCM中容易操作。
当完成设定时,显示面板可被初始地驱动,电路的初始输出电压可依次存储在存储器中,并且随后可长时间驱动显示面板。这个过程可重复一次或两次,并且可基于电路的电压相对于初始感测值的下降程度来提供用于确定劣化程度的基准数据(基准值)。
如图17和图18中所示,电源的控制器181_OPG可包括基于基准电压端子VREF、时钟信号端子FCLK和内部电压端子VL操作的多个控制电路。此外,基于控制电路提供的同步信号SAW可施加至第一电路单元。
当电源的控制器181_OPG中的用于提供同步信号SAW的电流ISAW恒定时,尽管通过时钟信号端子FCLK施加的时钟信号的频率FREQ变化,但可恒定地产生同步信号SAW的斜度。
通过图18的频率F1和F2之间的比较结果看出,当频率降低时,同步信号SAW的电压范围Vmin和Vmax可增加,因而电路中可识别的电压可增加。因此,当产生相同的占空比时,随着频率降低,电路中可识别的电压可增加,因而也可提高ADC的感测分辨率。因此,为了提高ADC的感测分辨率,基于上述情况,可将电源的内部驱动频率设为较低。
如图19中所示,根据本发明的实施方式,发光显示设备可确定在有机发光二极管中是否发生劣化,然后可改变时序控制器的内部增益值以补偿数据。然而,这仅仅是示例,可同时改变电源的增益值和输出电压。
本发明可实现提供一种感测显示面板中包括的有机发光二极管的劣化并且补偿劣化的补偿装置的效果。此外,根据本发明,在感测显示面板中包括的有机发光二极管的劣化的情况下,可仅选择和感测电性稳定的电压分量,因而可提高感测的精度。此外,根据本发明,可基于设置在电源内部和外部的电路与设置在时序控制器中的电路之间的协同操作来执行感测和补偿,因而可简化补偿装置的配置。
根据本发明的效果不限于上面的示例,本申请中可包括其他各种效果。
尽管参考例性实施方式具体显示和描述了本发明,但所属领域普通技术人员将理解到,在不背离由所附权利要求书限定的本发明的精神和范围的情况下,可进行形式和细节上的各种改变。

1.一种发光显示设备,包括:
显示图像的显示面板;
向所述显示面板提供驱动电压的电源;
向所述显示面板提供数据电压的数据驱动器;

感测电路单元,所述感测电路单元接收所述驱动电压的反馈分量作为反馈电压并且基于所述电源的内部控制信号选择性地感测所述反馈电压中的电性稳定区间,并且
其中所述感测电路单元检测所述控制信号的上升时间,以从感测区间排除电性不稳定区间,并且在从所述控制信号的上升时间起经过确定延迟时间之后感测所述反馈电压。
2.根据权利要求1所述的发光显示设备,其中所述感测电路单元基于所述控制信号对于确定区间、确定时间和确定计数感测所述反馈电压。
3.根据权利要求1所述的发光显示设备,其中,基于输入阻抗较大的电压跟随器,所述感测电路单元感测N次模拟反馈电压,将所述模拟反馈电压转换为数字感测值,将N个感测值取平均以计算平均感测值,并且将所述平均感测值提供至所述时序控制器,其中N是1或更大的整数。
4.根据权利要求3所述的发光显示设备,其中,在所述平均感测值大于所述时序控制器中定义的基准值时,所述时序控制器执行补偿所述显示面板中包括的有机发光二极管的补偿操作;并且在所述平均感测值小于所述时序控制器中定义的基准值时,所述时序控制器不补偿所述有机发光二极管。
5.根据权利要求1所述的发光显示设备,其中所述感测电路单元通过设置在所述电源和与所述电源协同操作的无源元件单元之间的连接部来接收所述驱动电压的反馈分量作为反馈电压。
6.根据权利要求1所述的发光显示设备,其中所述感测电路单元包括第一感测电路单元,所述第一感测电路单元包括用于接收所述驱动电压的反馈分量作为反馈电压的电压跟随器。
7.根据权利要求6所述的发光显示设备,其中所述感测电路单元还包括:
上升触发器,所述上升触发器检测所述控制信号的上升时间;
延迟器,所述延迟器从所述控制信号的上升时间起延迟确定时间;
定时器,所述定时器基于从所述延迟器传输的信号输出使能信号或禁能信号;和
第二感测电路单元,所属第二感测电路单元包括模数转换器,所述模数转换器基于从所述定时器输出的使能信号或所述禁能信号来感测从所述第一感测电路单元传输的反馈电压。
8.根据权利要求7所述的发光显示设备,其中所述第二感测电路单元还包括:
均值滤波器,所述均值滤波器将通过所述模数转换器输出的多个感测值取平均,以计算平均感测值;和
存储器,所述存储器存储从所述均值滤波器输出的平均感测值。
9.一种发光显示设备的驱动方法,所述驱动方法包括:
驱动电源,以输出用于驱动显示面板的驱动电压;
接收所述驱动电压的反馈分量作为反馈电压并且检测所述电源的控制信号的上升时间;和
在从所述控制信号的上升时间起经过确定延迟时间之后感测所述反馈电压,以选择性地感测所述反馈电压中的电性稳定区间,并且
其中,在所述感测时,检测所述控制信号的上升时间,以从感测区间排除电性不稳定区间,并且在从所述控制信号的上升时间起经过确定延迟时间之后感测所述反馈电压。
10.根据权利要求9所述的驱动方法,其中所述感测所述反馈电压包括:基于所述控制信号对于确定区间、确定时间和确定计数感测所述反馈电压。
11.根据权利要求9所述的驱动方法,还包括:
感测模拟反馈电压,将所述模拟反馈电压转换为数字感测值并且将多个感测值取平均以计算平均感测值;
当所述平均感测值大于定义的基准值时,执行补偿所述显示面板中包括的有机发光二极管的补偿操作;和
当所述平均感测值小于定义的基准值时,停止对所述有机发光二极管执行的补偿。
