Abstract

A method for manufacturing a golf club head includes a dividing step, a shielding step, an electroplating step and a removing step. In the dividing step, a plating region and a non-plating region are divided on the club head body. In the dividing step 11, a club head body 2 to be subjected to electroplating processing is prepared, and the club head body 2 includes a shell 21 and a striking plate 22 connected to the shell 21. The striking plate 22 has a plurality of grooves 221 arranged in groups, and the grooves 221 may be formed by engraving or etching, or may be integrally formed when the club head body 2 is cast, die-cast, or forged. The head body 2 is divided into a plating region on the shell 21 and a non-plating region on the striking plate 22. In particular, the division may be performed by marking the boundary of the non-plating region by a scribe line or other marking means, but the division may be performed without marking and only visually confirming the range of the non-plating region.
