The electronic ink is similar to the ink used for printing and is made of pigment, which is why the electronic ink screen is similar to the display effect of the traditional paper. Electronic inks are typically manufactured as thin films, consisting of a large number of microcapsules that are only the size of the diameter of human hair. The black and white globules in the microcapsule are pigment particles with different charges, the pigment particles are suspended in the microcapsule in an initial state, when an electric field in a certain direction is applied, the corresponding pigment particles are pushed to the top, the microcapsule can display different colors, and the microcapsules with different colors form various characters and patterns.
Because of the characteristics of the electronic ink screen, the screen refreshing speed is slow, so the electronic ink screen is generally used for reading scenes with more static pictures, and cannot directly replace a liquid crystal screen as a computer display.

The application provides a method and a device for displaying static pictures of an electronic ink screen serving as a computer display, which aim to flexibly switch a video picture display mode and a static picture display mode through an instruction so as to adapt to different scene requirements; in the static picture display mode, the current static picture is always displayed when the pixel variation is not exceeded, so that no flicker, no radiation and large visual angle are generated during static display, and the display quality of the static picture is improved; and the display of the next frame of picture is carried out when the pixel variation exceeds the threshold, and the page turning is carried out only when the pixel variation exceeds the threshold, so that the power consumption is reduced, and the service life of the product is prolonged. Compared with the conventional mode of using an electronic ink screen as a computer display, the conventional mode usually requires to reduce the quality of the screen displayed image in order to adapt to the video image display of the computer display, for example, the contrast is reduced, the afterimage is serious, and the display effect is not ideal enough when a static image is displayed. Therefore, the method for displaying the static picture of the electronic ink screen serving as the computer display is provided to solve the problem that the static picture display effect is not ideal due to the reduction of the display quality caused by the existing electronic ink screen serving as the computer display.
The first embodiment is as follows:
fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a method for displaying a static image of an electronic ink screen serving as a computer display according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, where the method for displaying a static image of an electronic ink screen serving as a computer display according to the present disclosure may be executed by a static image display device of an electronic ink screen serving as a computer display, the static image display device of an electronic ink screen serving as a computer display may be implemented in a software and/or hardware manner, and the static image display device of an electronic ink screen serving as a computer display may be formed by two or more physical entities or may be formed by one physical entity. Generally, the electronic ink screen static image display device as a computer display may be a terminal device, such as a computer, a mobile phone, a tablet, and the like.
The following description will be made by taking a computer as an example of a main body for executing the static image display method of the electronic ink screen as a computer display. Referring to fig. 1, the method for displaying a static image of an electronic ink screen used as a computer display specifically includes:
s101, switching between a video picture display mode and a static picture display mode according to the received instruction.
When the user needs to display the real-time picture, the user can select the video picture display mode to display. The user can input an instruction for entering the video picture display mode through the input end, and the display or the computer end enters the video picture display mode according to the received instruction for entering the video picture display mode, so that the real-time display of the real-time received picture data is realized. The user inputs an instruction for entering a video picture display mode through a hardware button connected to the display, and the display receives real-time display of picture data in real time according to the received instruction for entering the video picture display mode. A user inputs a command for entering a video picture display mode through a software button in the touch screen, and the computer end enters the video picture display mode according to the received command for entering the video picture display mode and receives real-time display of picture data in real time. When the user needs to enter the still picture display mode to improve the picture display quality, the still picture display mode can be selected for display. The user can input the instruction for entering the static picture display mode through the input end, and the computer end enters the static picture display mode according to the received instruction for entering the static picture display mode so as to display the static picture. The input terminal can be set as a hardware button, which is divided into a button for entering a video picture display mode and a button for entering a static picture display mode, or can be set as a corresponding software button in a screen, which is a button for entering the video picture display mode and a button for entering the static picture display mode.
After the user is started, any one of a video picture display mode and a static picture display mode can be selected for display, and the two modes can be switched randomly according to actual needs in the later use process.
And S102, displaying and playing the picture information data received in real time in the video picture display mode.
Under the video image display mode, the back end of the computer outputs image information data in real time through the video output interface, and the screen receives the image information data output by the video output end of the computer in real time and synchronously displays corresponding images. Under the video image display mode, when receiving an instruction of entering the static image display mode input by a user through an input end, the video image display mode exits, and the static image display mode is entered for display.
S103, under the static picture display mode, storing the picture information data received in real time in a buffer queue, comparing the variation of the video picture pixel of the latest frame in the buffer queue with the variation of the static picture pixel currently displayed on the display screen in real time, and when the variation of the pixel exceeds a threshold value, storing the video picture of the latest frame in a static picture display layer for displaying.
Illustratively, the picture data information received in real time is stored in a buffer queue in the data storage module, the video picture pixel of the latest frame in the buffer queue and the variation of the static picture pixel currently displayed on the display screen are compared in real time, when the variation of the pixel exceeds a threshold value, the video picture of the latest frame is stored in a static picture display layer for displaying, and then the compared picture frame data in the buffer queue is deleted. When the variation of the pixel does not exceed the threshold, the display screen replacement processing is not performed, and the frame data of the compared frame in the buffer queue is deleted.
And under the static picture display mode, storing the picture information data received in real time into a buffer queue, comparing the color value variation of the video picture pixel of the latest frame in the buffer queue with the color value variation of a single pixel of the static picture currently displayed by the display screen in real time, and storing the video picture of the latest frame into a static picture display layer for displaying when the color variation of a certain pixel exceeds a threshold value. For example, the color value of light pink is # FFB6C1, the color value of pink is # FFC0CB, and if the amount of change between the two values is not large, the processing is not performed; and the scarlet color value is # DC143C, and the scarlet and the light pink color value have larger variation, then updating is carried out, and the picture of the latest frame is stored and displayed by the static picture display layer. The threshold may be set according to actual conditions, and is not limited in this embodiment.
And under the static picture display mode, storing the picture information data received in real time into a buffer queue, comparing the color value variation of the video picture pixel of the latest frame in the buffer queue with the total amount of the color value variation and the quantity variation of the static picture pixel currently displayed by the display screen in real time, and storing the video picture of the latest frame into the static picture display layer for displaying when the total amount of the color value variation and the quantity variation of the pixels is over a threshold value. The color variation of the pixel and the number variation of the changed pixels occupy corresponding threshold weights, and if the color variation of a single pixel is X, the total weight of the color variations of the pixel is A, the number variation of the changed pixels is Y, the weight is B, and the total amount of the color value variation of the pixel and the number variation of the changed pixels is Z, Z = A (Σ X) + (BY). And when the total amount Z of the color value variation of the pixels and the number variation of the changed pixels exceeds a preset threshold value, storing the video picture of the latest frame to a static picture display layer for displaying. The values of the weight a and the weight B can be set according to actual situations, and are not limited in this embodiment. The threshold may be set according to actual conditions, and is not limited in this embodiment. The specific calculation formula of this embodiment is only an example, and an appropriate calculation formula may be selected according to actual situations to calculate the total amount of the color value variation of the pixel and the number variation of the changed pixel.
In an embodiment, in the still picture display mode, the picture information data received in real time is stored in a buffer queue, the number variation of the video picture pixels of the latest frame in the buffer queue and the number variation of the still picture changing pixels currently displayed on the display screen are compared in real time, and when the number variation of the changing pixels exceeds a threshold, the video picture of the latest frame is stored in the still picture display layer for display. The threshold may be set according to actual conditions, and is not limited in this embodiment.

When a user needs to pause playing, clicking a pause playing button, sending a pause playing instruction, wherein the pause playing is an instruction for entering a static picture display mode, a background enters the static picture display mode according to the received instruction for entering the static picture display mode, displaying a currently played video picture frame, continuously receiving video picture information data in real time, storing the video picture information data received in real time in a buffer queue, comparing the variation of the video picture pixel of the latest frame in the buffer queue with the static picture pixel currently displayed on a display screen in real time, and when the variation of the pixel exceeds a threshold value, storing the picture of the latest frame in a static picture display layer for displaying. The variation of the pixels comprises the variation of the color value of a single pixel and/or the variation of the number of changed pixels. When the user needs to finish pausing and then play the video in real time again, the user clicks a play button and sends a play instruction, the play instruction is a switching instruction, the background exits from the static picture display mode and enters into the video picture display mode according to the received switching instruction, and the video picture is played in real time.
Further, when switching between the video screen display mode and the still screen display mode is performed according to the received instruction, there is also a scenario in which switching is applied. A corresponding application-mode comparison table is preset in a computer background and lists a display mode corresponding to each application, for example, an application A is a video player, and a corresponding display mode is a video picture display mode; the application B is a reader, and the corresponding display mode is a static picture display mode. When a user opens a certain application, the corresponding display mode is determined according to the application-mode comparison table, and a command for entering the video picture display mode or a command for entering the static picture display mode is sent according to the determined display mode to enter the corresponding video picture display mode or the static picture display mode. For example, when a user opens an application a (video player), and determines that the display mode of the application a is the video picture display mode according to the application-mode comparison table, an instruction for entering the video picture display mode is sent, and the background enters the video picture display mode according to the received instruction for entering the video picture display mode, so as to display video picture data in real time. When a user opens an application B (reader), the display mode of the application B is determined to be a static picture display mode according to an application-mode comparison table, a command for entering the static picture display mode is sent, a background enters the static picture display mode according to the received command for entering the static picture display mode, the background receives real-time picture data of a read picture in real time, the real-time received picture information data is stored in a buffer queue, the picture pixel of the latest frame in the buffer queue is compared with the variation of the static picture pixel currently displayed by a display screen in real time, and when the variation of the pixel exceeds a threshold value, the picture of the latest frame is stored in a static picture display layer for display. Or when the user needs to turn pages, clicking a page turning button to send an image updating instruction, and updating and replacing the static display image according to the received image updating instruction, namely updating to the next page for reading. Or the user sends the operation of suspending implementation comparison and comparison of the variation of the picture pixel of the latest frame in the buffer queue and the static picture pixel currently displayed on the display screen by clicking a corresponding button which does not automatically detect the data of the buffer queue, when the user clicks the detection button, a detection instruction is sent, the background compares the variation of the picture pixel of the latest frame in the buffer queue and the static picture pixel currently displayed on the display screen in real time according to the received detection instruction, and when the variation of the pixel exceeds a threshold value, the picture of the latest frame is stored in a static picture display layer for display; when the pixel variation does not exceed the threshold, the update display processing is not performed.
In an embodiment, when the application a is used, the video screen display mode is entered, the user suddenly switches to the application B, and the background can switch the corresponding display mode according to the switching instruction. When a user clicks and switches to an application B, determining that the display mode of the application B is a static picture display mode according to an application-mode comparison table, sending a command for entering the static picture display mode, entering the static picture display mode according to the received command for entering the static picture display mode by a background, receiving real-time picture data of a reading picture by the background in real time, storing the real-time received picture information data in a buffer queue, comparing the variation of a picture pixel of a latest frame in the buffer queue with the variation of the static picture pixel currently displayed by a display screen in real time, and storing the picture of the latest frame in a static picture display layer for displaying when the variation of the pixel exceeds a threshold value.
In an embodiment, when the application B is used, the static screen display mode is entered, the user suddenly switches to the application a, and the background can switch the corresponding display mode according to the switching instruction. When a user clicks and switches to the application A, the display mode of the application A is determined to be a video picture display mode according to the application-mode comparison table, then a command for entering the video picture display mode is sent, the background enters the video picture display mode according to the received command for entering the video picture display mode, and video picture data are displayed in real time.
The switching between the video picture real-time mode and the static picture display mode is performed according to the received instruction, the video data received in real time is displayed and played in the video picture display mode, the picture information data received in real time is stored in the buffer queue in the static picture display mode, the video picture pixel of the latest frame in the buffer queue is compared with the variation of the static picture pixel currently displayed on the display screen in real time, and when the variation of the pixel exceeds the threshold value, the video picture of the latest frame is stored in the static picture display layer for displaying. By adopting the technical means, the flexible conversion between the video picture display mode and the static picture display mode is carried out through the instruction, so that different scene requirements are met. In addition, in the static picture display mode, the current static picture is always displayed when the pixel variation is not exceeded, so that the advantages of no flicker, no radiation and large visual angle of the electronic ink screen are fully exerted during static display, and the display quality of the static picture is improved; and the display of the next frame of picture is carried out when the pixel variation exceeds the threshold, and the page turning is carried out only when the pixel variation exceeds the threshold, so that the power consumption is reduced, and the service life of the product is prolonged.
