Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a pair of slide rail assemblies 20 mounted to a rack 22 (rack) in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. Two portions, such as the front and rear portions, of each track assembly 20 are mounted to a first column 28a and a second column 28b of the frame 22 by a first bracket device 24 and a second bracket device 26, respectively. Specifically, each of the slide rail assemblies 20 includes a first rail 30 and a second rail 32 longitudinally displaceable relative to the first rail 30. Preferably, each slide assembly 20 further includes a third rail 34 for increasing the displacement travel of the second rail 32 relative to the first rail 30. Wherein the second rail 32 can be used to mount a carrier 36. The carrier 36 is, for example, a chassis (chassis) of an electronic device or a drawer.
As shown in fig. 2, 3 and 4, the first bracket device 24 (hereinafter referred to as the bracket device 24) includes a bracket 38, at least one mounting member 40 and a locking member 42.
The bracket 38 has a side plate 44 and an end plate 46 connected to the side plate 44. Wherein the end plate 46 is connected approximately perpendicularly to the side plate 44. Preferably, the side plate 44 of the bracket 38 has an opening 48, and the bracket 38 has at least one ear connected to the side plate 44. Here, the bracket 38 is exemplified to have a pair of ears 50 connected to the side plates 44 and adjacent to the opening 48. Wherein one of the pair of ears 50 has an extension 54 having a length.
The at least one mounting member 40, such as a pair of mounting members 40, may be disposed on an end plate 46 of the carriage 38. Since this part is within the technical scope that can be understood by a person skilled in the art, it is not described herein for the sake of brevity.
The lock 42 is mounted to the bracket 38. The lock 42 includes a base 56 and a lock portion 58. Wherein the base 56 is positioned relative to the opening 48 of the bracket 38 for an operator to operate; the lock portion 58 has a mounting hole 59. Preferably, the lock 42 further includes a middle portion 60 located between the base 56 and the lock portion 58, the middle portion 60 having a first side 62 and a second side 64 opposite the first side 62. The first side 62 is angled relative to the base 56 and the connection between the lock 58 and the second side 64 is approximately perpendicular. Further, the base 56 of the lock 42 has at least one protruding section 66 that is bent relative to the base 56. Here, for example, the pair of protruding sections 66 are bent with respect to the base portion 56. The pair of projecting sections 66 are adjacent the pair of ears 50.
One of the locking element 42 and the carrier 38 has a displacement section 67, wherein the displacement section 67 is, for example, arranged in a longitudinal direction, and the locking element 42 can be displaced in the longitudinal direction relative to the carrier 38 by means of the displacement section 67. In this embodiment, the bracket 38 has the displacement section 67, for example, the pair of ears 50 of the bracket 38 has the displacement section 67. The displacement section 67 may be a long hole or a long slot. It should be noted that although the embodiment illustrates the bracket 38 having the displacement section 67, in practice, it is also possible that the lock 42 has the displacement section 67. Simply stated, the displacement region 67 provides for longitudinal displacement of the locking element 42 relative to the carrier 38.
Preferably, the bracket device 24 further comprises a pivot 68 and a resilient member 70. The pivot 68 is disposed through a portion of the displacement region 67. Specifically, the pivot 68 extends through a portion of the displacement region 67 of the bracket 38 and the pair of protruding sections 66 of the locking element 42. The elastic member 70 is used to provide an elastic force to the locking member 42, and the locking member 42 is located at a predetermined position in response to the elastic force of the elastic member 70. Further, the elastic member 70 includes a first portion 72, a second portion 74 and a winding portion 76 disposed between the first portion 72 and the second portion 74. The winding portion 76 has a space 78 for a portion of the pivot 68 to pass through; the first portion 72 is adapted to contact the carrier 38; the second portion 74 is configured to contact the locking element 42. Here, the first portion 72 abuts the extension 54 of the bracket 38, and the second portion 74 abuts the base 56 of the lock 42.
As shown in FIG. 5, the first mast 28a has a plurality of bores. Such as a first hole 80a, a second hole 80b, and a third hole 80c. On the other hand, the carriage assembly 24 is in a locked state. For example, the locking piece 42 of the bracket device 24 is in a locking position L1 (closed position) with respect to the end plate 46 of the bracket 38 in response to the elastic force of the elastic piece 70.
As shown in fig. 6, the first rail 30 of the slide rail assembly 20 can be moved toward the first machine pillar 28a by the bracket device 24 in a direction D for being mounted to the first machine pillar 28a. During the installation process, a portion of the locking element 42 of the bracket device 24, such as a guiding portion 82 (guiding structure such as an inclined surface or an arc surface) can abut against a side edge of the first column 28a, so that the locking element 42 can pivot at an angle from the locking position L1 to the bracket 38 by the pivot element 68 to be in an unlocking state, such as an unlocking position L2 (opening position). Since this part is within the technical scope that can be understood by a person skilled in the art, it is not described herein for the sake of brevity. The elastic member 70 can accumulate an elastic force in response to the locking member 42 being in the unlocking position L2. Alternatively, the operator may insert the pair of mounting members 40 of the carriage assembly 24 through the first and second apertures 80a, 80b of the first mast 28a.
As shown in fig. 7, when further displaced in the direction D, the pair of mounting members 40 of the bracket device 24 can be mounted to the first hole 80a and the second hole 80b of the first mast 28a, and the elastic member 70 can release the elastic force, so that the locking member 42 returns to the locking position L1 again from the unlocking position L2 in response to the elastic force of the elastic member 70 to lock the first mast 28a, at which time the locking portion 58 of the locking member 42 locks the first mast 28a. In short, the bracket device 24 can be mounted to the first mast 28a. Wherein, when the locking piece 42 locks the first column 28a, the mounting hole 59 of the locking portion 58 of the locking piece 42 is positioned to correspond to the third hole 80c of the first column 28a. Preferably, the bracket device 24 further includes a locking member 84 for locking the end plate 46 of the bracket 38 to the first mast 28a via the mounting hole 59.
As shown in fig. 8 and 9, the first mast 28a has a first thickness W1. On the other hand, the locking element 42 of the holder device 24 can be brought into a first position P1 relative to the holder 38 by means of the displacement section 67. When the lock 42 is in the first position P1 relative to the bracket 38, the lock portion 58 of the lock 42 is a first distance X1 relative to the end plate 46 of the bracket 38. As shown in fig. 10, the pair of mounting members 40 of the bracket device 24 can be mounted to the first hole 80a and the second hole 80b of the first column 28a in the direction D, and the locking member 42 can lock the first column 28a in response to the elastic force of the elastic member 70. Wherein a first distance X1 between the lock portion 58 of the lock 42 and the end plate 46 of the bracket 38 is available to account for the first thickness W1 of the first column 28a. Specifically, the first distance X1 is greater than the first thickness W1 of the first mast 28a, so that the lock portion 58 of the lock 42 can lock the first mast 28a.
Fig. 11 shows the use of the carriage assembly 24 with a first column 200 of another embodiment. Specifically, the first mast 200 has a second thickness W2 that is thicker than the first thickness W1 of the first mast 28a. On the other hand, in conjunction with fig. 12, the locking element 42 of the bracket device 24 can be located in the first position P1 relative to the bracket 38 by means of the displacement section 67. When the lock 42 is in the first position P1 relative to the bracket 38, the lock portion 58 of the lock 42 is at the first distance X1 relative to the end plate 46 of the bracket 38.
As shown in fig. 13, when the first rail 30 of the slide rail assembly 20 approaches the first column 200 in the direction D via the bracket device 24, the locking element 42 can be pivoted to be in the unlocking state via the pivot element 68 (for the sake of brevity, it is not described herein again). Alternatively, the operator can align and extend the pair of mounting members 40 of the carriage assembly 24 into a first aperture 202 and a second aperture 204 of the first mast 200.
As shown in fig. 14 and 15, when the pair of mounting members 40 of the bracket device 24 is mounted to the first mast 200, the lock 42 can be restored from the unlocked state to the locked state, wherein, due to the second thickness W2 of the first mast 200, the lock 42 can be longitudinally displaced from the first position P1 to a second position P2 relative to the bracket 38 by the displacement section 67 during the restoration of the lock 42 to the locked state. When the lock 42 is in the second position P2 relative to the bracket 38, the lock portion 58 of the lock 42 has a second distance X2 relative to the end plate 46 of the bracket 38 (i.e., the lock portion 58 of the lock 42 changes from the first distance X1 to the second distance X2 relative to the end plate 46 of the bracket 38), the second distance X2 being adapted to correspond to the second thickness W2 of the first mast 200. Specifically, the second distance X2 is greater than the second thickness W2 of the first column 200, so that the lock portion 58 of the lock 42 can lock the first column 200.
From the above description, it can be seen that the enhanced efficacy and advantages of the present invention are: the locking element 42 is longitudinally displaceable relative to the bracket 38 between the first position P1 and the second position P2 by the displacement region 67, thus allowing the bracket assembly 24 to be used for mounting to posts having different thicknesses.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the present specific embodiments, it will be recognized by those skilled in the art that the above embodiments are illustrative only, and various equivalent changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention, and therefore, it is intended to cover in the appended claims all such changes and modifications as fall within the true spirit of the invention.
