Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention clearer, the technical solutions of the present invention will be clearly and completely described through embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are some, but not all, embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the basic idea disclosed and suggested by the embodiments of the present invention, are within the scope of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 1, which is a flowchart of a brightness adjustment method of a display device according to an embodiment of the present invention, the technical solution of the embodiment is suitable for brightness adjustment of the display device. The brightness adjusting method can be executed by a brightness adjusting device, and the brightness adjusting device can be realized in a software and/or hardware mode and is configured to be executed in a display device. In this embodiment, the display device includes a plurality of pixels and a memory, and the memory may be any memory that can be integrated in the display device, such as a flash memory.
The brightness adjusting method of the display device provided by the embodiment specifically includes the following steps:
step S1, for each pixel point, obtaining a gray scale offset data set of the pixel point under m specific gray scale pictures and storing the gray scale offset data set to a memory, wherein the gray scale offset data set comprises m first gray scale offset data, and m is larger than 2.
And step S2, when the target gray scale picture is displayed, calculating second gray scale offset data of the pixel point under the target gray scale picture according to the gray scale offset data set of the pixel point.
And step S3, compensating the gray scale of the pixel point under the target gray scale picture according to the second gray scale offset data.
It can be understood that, under the condition that the image gray scale is determined, the corresponding brightness value of the gray scale image is theoretically a fixed value, and the corresponding theoretical brightness values of different gray scale images are different, so that the theoretical brightness value corresponding to a specific gray scale image is a known fixed value. As described above, the display device includes a plurality of pixels, and the brightness adjustment method of each pixel is consistent, and based on this, in this embodiment, only one pixel in the display device is taken as an example for explanation, and this example pixel is any one pixel in the display device. Before leaving the factory, a gray scale offset data set of each pixel point in the display device under m specific gray scale pictures is generated and stored in a memory, and the specific process is shown as follows.
If the display device displays a frame of a specific gray scale picture, for example, the specific gray scale is 50 gray scales, the display device displays the frame of the 50 gray scale picture, and the gray scale of the pixel point X1 in the picture is 50. The theoretical brightness value corresponding to the 50 gray-scale picture is Lumi50In an ideal state, when the display device displays the frame of 50 gray-scale picture, the ideal brightness values of the pixel point X1 should be all Lumi50However, due to the material process and other reasons, the picture display brightness unevenness (Mura) phenomenon may occur on part of the products, and the actual brightness values of part of the pixels may not reach the theoretical brightness value Lumi50Based on this, the 50 gray scale of the pixel point X1 is adjusted to make the corresponding actual brightness value be the theoretical brightness value Lumi50Go forward and go forwardThereby obtaining the first gray scale offset data of the pixel point X1 under the 50 gray scale picture. If the actual brightness value of the pixel point X1 at the gray scale of 50 is greater than Lumi50The gray level is turned down until the actual brightness value is reduced to Lumi50(ii) a Or, if the actual brightness value of the pixel point X1 at the gray scale of 50 is less than Lumi50Adjust the gray level up until the actual brightness value increases to Lumi50(ii) a Or, if the actual brightness value of the pixel point X1 at the gray scale of 50 is equal to Lumi50The gray scale is not adjusted. The adjusted actual brightness value is equal to Lumi50The gray scale difference obtained by subtracting 50 from the temporal gray scale value is the first gray scale offset data D of the pixel point X1 under the 50 gray scale pictureg50The gray scale offset data may be a positive number, a negative number or 0. By analogy, the first gray scale offset data D of the pixel point X1 under a plurality of specific gray scale pictures can be obtainedgAnd its data, which is stored in the memory of the display device for subsequent use.
For example, when m is 6, m specific grayscales are 0, 50, 100, 150, 200 and 255 respectively, and the grayscale offset data set of the pixel point X1 under the m specific grayscale frames includes D in the 0 grayscale frameg0D in a picture of 50 gray levelsg50D in a 100-gray-scale pictureg100D in 150 gray level pictureg150D in a 200-gray level pictureg200And D in 255 gray level frameg255. The gray scale offset data sets of the pixel point X1 under the m specific gray scale frames are stored in the memory.
It is understood that the related practitioner can reasonably set the specific gray scale and the number of the specific gray scales according to the product requirement, but not limited thereto. In addition, the theoretical brightness value corresponding to the specific gray scale frame should be a theoretical brightness interval, and the actual brightness value in the theoretical brightness interval is regarded as the actual brightness value equal to the theoretical brightness value.
It should be noted that the display device includes a display area provided with pixels and a non-display area located at the periphery of the display area, the non-display area is provided with a source driver circuit and a display driver module, and a programmable Gamma buffer chip (P-Gamma IC) is integrated in the display driver module. In the gray scale brightness control scheme of the display device, a P-Gamma IC generates reference voltage and provides the reference voltage to a source electrode driving circuit, each gray scale voltage value is generated inside the source electrode driving circuit through resistance voltage division and other processing, a display driving module inputs a pixel voltage digital signal of each pixel point in a picture to be displayed to the source electrode driving circuit, and the source electrode driving circuit selects to output required gray scale voltage to each pixel point according to the decoded pixel voltage digital signal to realize the display of the required gray scale picture.
Before leaving the factory, a gray scale offset data set of each pixel point in the display device under m specific gray scale pictures is stored in the memory.
In the target gray scale image pre-display stage, that is, when the display device is to display the target gray scale image of the frame, the initial gray scale of the pixel point X1 may be determined, at this time, the display device extracts the gray scale offset data set of the pixel point X1 from the memory, and calculates the second gray scale offset data of the pixel point X1 in the target gray scale image according to the m first gray scale offset data in the gray scale data offset set. The gray scale compensation is to superimpose the second gray scale offset data with the initial gray scale of the pixel point X1 to obtain the adjusted gray scale of the pixel point X1.
And in the target gray scale image display stage, the adjusted gray scale of the pixel point X1 corresponding to the target gray scale image is determined, and when the display device displays the frame of target gray scale image, the gray scale of the pixel point X1 is controlled to be the adjusted gray scale. For example, if the target gray scale frame is a 60 gray scale frame, the initial gray scale of the pixel point X1 is 60; if the calculated second gray scale offset data of the pixel point X1 is-3, the adjusted gray scale of the pixel point X1 is (-3) + 60. When the display device displays a frame of 60 gray level picture, the gray level of the pixel point X1 is controlled to 57.
The brightness-gray scale relation, namely the Gamma Curve, in the display device is a nonlinear power change Curve, m first gray scale offset data of a pixel point X1 are used as reference gray scale offset data, second gray scale offset data of the pixel point X1 under a target gray scale picture is calculated, gray scale compensation of the pixel point X1 is performed by the second gray scale offset data, the accuracy of the offset data can be improved, and gray scale compensation of each pixel point is dynamically realized.
It can be understood that, for the case that the target gray scale image of the pixel X1 is the same as one of the specific gray scale images, it is known that the first gray scale offset data of the pixel X1 in the ith specific gray scale image is pre-stored in the memory, and therefore, when the ith specific gray scale image is displayed, the gray scale of the pixel X1 can be compensated according to the first gray scale offset data of the pixel X1 in the ith specific gray scale image stored in the memory. That is, when the target gray scale image of the pixel X1 is the same as one of the specific gray scale images, the first gray scale offset data of the pixel X1 in the ith specific gray scale image, which is pre-stored in the memory, is used as the second gray scale offset data of the pixel in the target gray scale image, so as to compensate the gray scale of the pixel X1.
In the embodiment of the invention, a storage device stores a gray scale offset data set of each pixel point under m specific gray scale pictures, and when a target gray scale picture is displayed, second gray scale offset data of the pixel point under the target gray scale picture is calculated according to the gray scale offset data set of the pixel point; and compensating the gray scale of the pixel point under the target gray scale picture according to the second gray scale offset data. The second gray scale offset data is used for gray scale compensation of the pixel points, so that the accuracy of the offset data can be improved, the gray scale compensation of each pixel point is dynamically realized, the uniformity of multi-gray scale images can be considered, the integral Demrua uniformity effect of the multi-gray scale of a product is improved, the display uniformity is improved after compensation, and the method is suitable for gray scale compensation of the pixel points on any gray scale image.
For example, on the basis of the above technical solution, the operation of obtaining the gray scale offset data set of the pixel point under m specific gray scale frames in step S1 specifically includes the following steps as shown in fig. 2:
s11, adjusting the pixel point to be the ith specific gray scale, and collecting the brightness of the pixel point, wherein i is an integer less than or equal to m;
s12, adjusting the gray scale of the pixel point according to the target brightness corresponding to the ith specific gray scale to make the brightness of the pixel point be the target brightness corresponding to the ith specific gray scale;
s13, determining the difference value between the adjusted gray scale and the ith specific gray scale as the first gray scale offset data of the pixel point under the ith specific gray scale picture.
Taking the 1 st specific gray level image as an example, the initial gray level of the pixel point X1 in the 1 st specific gray level image is the 1 st specific gray level. The display driving module of the display device inputs the 1 st pixel voltage digital signal of the pixel point X1 to the source driving circuit, the 1 st pixel voltage digital signal contains the voltage information corresponding to the 1 st specific gray scale, the source driving circuit decodes the 1 st pixel voltage digital signal and then selects the voltage required by the 1 st specific gray scale to be output to the pixel point X1, and the display of the pixel point X1 on the 1 st specific gray scale picture is realized.
After the display device displays the 1 st specific gray scale picture, the brightness tester collects the actual brightness value of the pixel point X1; the brightness tester determines the corresponding ideal brightness value, namely the target brightness, according to the 1 st specific gray scale, and detects the relation between the actual brightness value and the ideal brightness value. If the actual brightness value of the pixel point X1 is smaller than the ideal brightness value corresponding to the 1 st specific gray scale, a display driving module of the display device is driven to increase the gray scale of the pixel point X1 until the actual brightness value is equal to the ideal brightness value; if the actual brightness value of the pixel point X1 is greater than the ideal brightness value corresponding to the 1 st specific gray scale, a display driving module of the display device is driven to reduce the gray scale of the pixel point X1 until the actual brightness value is equal to the ideal brightness value; if the actual brightness value of the pixel X1 is equal to the ideal brightness value corresponding to the 1 st specific gray level, the gray level of the pixel X1 is not adjusted.
When the actual brightness value of the adjusted pixel point X1 is equal to the ideal brightness value corresponding to the 1 st specific gray scale, calculating the difference between the adjusted gray scale of the pixel point X1 and the 1 st specific gray scale, and determining the gray scale difference as the first gray scale offset data of the pixel point X1 in the 1 st specific gray scale image.
By analogy, the first gray scale offset data of the pixel point X1 under the ith specific gray scale picture is obtained through calculation, and a gray scale offset data set of the pixel point X1 under the m specific gray scale pictures is generated and stored in the memory.
In this embodiment, the first gray scale offset data of the pixel point X1 under m specific gray scale frames is used as the reference gray scale data offset, and is commonly used for gray scale compensation of the pixel point X1 displayed on other gray scale frames, so that the gray scale compensation uniformity can be improved.
For example, on the basis of the above technical solution, the operation of calculating the second gray scale offset data of the pixel point in the target gray scale image in step S2 specifically includes the following steps as shown in fig. 3:
s21, calculating the gray scale weight of the ith specific gray scale of the pixel point influencing the target gray scale, wherein i is an integer less than or equal to m;
s22, calculating to obtain second gray scale offset data of the pixel point under the target gray scale picture according to the first gray scale offset data and the gray scale weight of the pixel point under each specific gray scale.
In this embodiment, at the pre-display stage of the target gray scale image, the 1 st gray scale weight p1 of the pixel point X1 that the 1 st specific gray scale affects the target gray scale, the 2 nd gray scale weights p2 and … of the 2 nd specific gray scale affect the target gray scale, the i th gray scale weight pi and … of the i th specific gray scale affect the i th gray scale weight pm of the target gray scale are sequentially calculated, so as to obtain m gray scale weight coefficients affecting the target gray scale of the pixel point X1. And then calculating the offset data for gray scale compensation of the pixel point X1 with gray scale weight coefficient weighting under each specific gray scale, and jointly calculating the second gray scale offset data of the pixel point X1.
In the target gray scale image display stage, gray scale compensation of the pixel point X1 is performed by using the second gray scale offset data. Therefore, the accuracy of the offset data can be improved, the gray scale compensation of the pixel points under different gray scale pictures is dynamically realized, and the display uniformity is improved after the compensation.
The calculation formula of the selectable gray scale weight is shown as formula 1, wherein formula 1:
Figure BDA0002563504370000101
wherein pi is the gray scale weight of the ith specific gray scale affecting the target gray scale 0, and gray scale j is the jth specific gray scale. The denominator in formula 1 is the sum of the absolute difference values between the m specific gray levels of the pixel point X1 and the target gray level.
For example, the m-6 specific grays include a 1 st specific grayscale (gray 1-0), a 2 nd specific grayscale (gray 2-50), a 3 rd specific grayscale (gray 3-100), a 4 th specific grayscale (gray 4-150), a 5 th specific grayscale (gray 5-200), and a 6 th specific grayscale (gray 6-255). The target gray level of the pixel point X1 on the target gray level screen is 60, i.e. gray0 is 60, and the gamma coefficient is set to 2.2.
The gray scale weight for each particular gray scale affecting the target gray scale is calculated as follows:

then

It can be seen that the gray scale weight of the specific gray scale close to the target gray scale affecting the target gray scale is larger, and the gray scale weight of the specific gray scale far from the target gray scale affecting the target gray scale is smaller.
The calculation formula of the second gray scale offset data of the selectable pixel point under the target gray scale picture is shown as formula 2, wherein formula 2 is as follows:

the offset0 is second gray scale offset data of the pixel under the target gray scale image, the offset1 is first gray scale offset data of the pixel under the 1 st specific gray scale image, the p1 is gray scale weight of the 1 st specific gray scale affecting the target gray scale, the offset2 is first gray scale offset data of the pixel under the 2 nd specific gray scale image, the p2 is gray scale weight of the 2 nd specific gray scale affecting the target gray scale, the offset is first gray scale offset data of the pixel under the i th specific gray scale image, the pi is gray scale weight of the i th specific gray scale affecting the target gray scale, the offset is first gray scale offset data of the pixel under the m th specific gray scale image, and the pm is gray scale weight of the m th specific gray scale affecting the target gray scale.
Taking m as an example 6, given that each specific gray scale of the pixel X1 affects the gray scale weights p1 to p6 of the target gray scale, the memory of the display device further stores the gray scale offset data sets of the pixel X1 under 6 specific gray scale frames, and the offset data for gray scale compensation with weighted gray scale weight coefficients, i.e. the second gray scale offset data, is calculated.
Figure BDA0002563504370000121
In this embodiment, the algorithm may be implemented by a multiplier circuit, the multiplier circuit may be stored in a memory, and the second gray scale offset data of the pixel point X1 may be obtained by calling the gray scale offset data set of the pixel point X1 in the memory and the multiplier circuit during display. In the embodiment, before the pre-display of different gray scale images, the offset data for gray scale compensation with gray scale weight coefficient weighting is calculated by adopting a formula in a combined manner in a dynamic self-adaptive manner, so that the defect that the offset data for optical compensation in the prior art cannot give consideration to the uniformity of multiple gray scale images can be overcome, the uniformity effect of the multiple gray scale integral optical compensation Demrua of a product can be improved, and the gray scale brightness adjusting method can be generally applied to the display of any one gray scale image of the display device.
