In one implementation, a user may select a recording control on a display device via a directional button and a confirm button on a remote control. In another implementation, the user may also issue a recording instruction through voice control, for example, the user continues to input "record currently playing program" to the display device 200 after inputting a wake-up word to the display device 200.
For convenience of description, for a plurality of display devices configured by a user, the plurality of display devices are connected in the same local area network, and for an external mobile hard disk or an internal hard disk, that is, a display device with a storage capacity greater than a preset capacity is called a main recording device. Of course, the main recording device may have one or more. That is, the main recording device is connected to the mobile hard disk, and can record programs and store the recorded programs.
In some embodiments, a device type conversion control is provided in the display device 200, and after the user selects the device type conversion control in the display device to which the mobile hard disk is connected, the display device 200 is converted into a main recording device. The primary recording device may be shut down from the network streaming service to facilitate sharing of recorded programs by other display devices 200.
In some embodiments, the display device 200 may receive a user input of a discovery device operation, e.g., turning on a device discovery switch in the display device. After receiving the generating device operation, the display device 200 transmits a broadcast message for discovering the main recording device within the local area network. The display device previously converted into the main recording device may respond and feed back a response message thereto.
In some embodiments, after receiving the response message fed back by the main recording device according to the broadcast message, the display device 200 controls the display 260 to display a device list, where the device list includes at least one main recording device. A display effect diagram of a device list page according to some embodiments is illustrated in fig. 7.
