The application may be a game, an application, or some other application associated with a computer system or other device that may be run on the smart television. The application center may obtain these applications from different sources, store them in local storage, and then be operable on the display device 200.
Currently, a display device provides a recommendation function for a user through a recommendation page, for example, when a display in the display device shows a homepage, a plurality of column frames are arranged in each channel of a channel column. A schematic diagram of a home interface presented by a display according to some embodiments is illustrated in fig. 6, and in connection with fig. 6, a plurality of column boxes are provided under movie channels, on which various types of movies are correspondingly presented. For the movie shown in fig. 6, there may be manual layout or large data based layout. However, after the user selects one asset from the column frame to view, the viewed asset is still set on the column frame according to the current arrangement mode. For example, if the user watches that the warwolf is finished, it is possible to set the warwolf on a column frame under a movie channel based on manual layout or big data layout, thereby affecting recommendation efficiency. In order to ensure timely updating of viewed media assets on a column frame, the embodiment of the application provides a display device, a server and a method for automatically updating the column frame. It should be noted that, the display device in this application may refer to not only the smart television, but also a computer, a tablet computer, and the like.
The display device 200 in the embodiment of the application can ensure that the media assets watched by the user are removed from the corresponding column frame, and the recommendation efficiency is improved. The controller 250 in the display device 200 is communicatively coupled to the display 275 and is configured to perform the process of updating the hurdle box. The following describes a process for automatically updating a column box according to an embodiment of the present application with reference to the drawings.
A flow diagram of a method of automatically updating a hurdle box according to some embodiments is illustrated in fig. 7. With reference to fig. 7, the method comprises the steps of:
s710: when the recommendation page is displayed, input of a first operation for a first control is received.
S720: and playing the first media asset.
In this embodiment of the application, the user searches for various media assets for viewing through the recommended page displayed by the display device 200, for example, when the display device 200 is just started, the display 275 displays the home page interface shown in fig. 6, and in the home page interface, the user selects media assets on a corresponding column frame for viewing. And the column frame is provided with controls corresponding to the media assets, and the controls are used for displaying the graphic files of the corresponding media assets.
In one implementation, the user sends an operation instruction through the remote controller, the controller 250 moves the focus to the column box, and the controller 250 can receive a selection operation of the media assets displayed by the column box. The focus is on the current user interface, and the starting point of the operation of the user remote controller, namely the currently selected position, is similar to the mouse hovering state of the PC end. For example, the user sends up/down/left/right direction signals through up/down/left/right direction keys on the remote controller, and the controller 250 controls the focus to move according to the direction signals and moves to the media that the user wants to watch. Say, move to warwolf in FIG. 6. The user continues to select the media assets which the user wants to watch through an 'OK' button on the remote controller.
In another implementation, the user may send the operation instruction through a voice button on the remote controller. For example, the user continuously presses a voice button on the remote control and sends "open warwolf".
In the embodiment of the application, if the user wants to watch the first media asset in the column frame on the recommended page, the first operation is sent out through the first control of the remote controller, and the controller 250 controls the display 275 to jump to the playing interface and start to play the first media asset when receiving the first operation. The first control is used for displaying a first graphic file corresponding to the first media asset, and the first control is used for enabling a display to play the first media asset after receiving the first operation.
S730: and after the first media asset starts to be played, responding to the received input operation of returning to the recommended page, and determining the watching progress of the first media asset.
In this embodiment, after the display device 200 starts playing the first asset, the user may stop playing the first asset at any time according to the viewing requirement of the user. When the user does not want to continue watching the first asset, the controller 250 may control the display 275 to stop playing the first asset and control the display 275 to return to the recommendation page from the play interface by sending a return operation. For example, the user may issue a return operation via a return key on the remote control. The controller 250 determines the viewing progress of the first asset when returning to the recommendation page in response to receiving the input.
Generally, the media assets displayed by the display can be divided into episode-type media assets and non-episode-type media assets, wherein the media assets of television shows, art programs and the like with multiple episodes or multiple programs belong to the episode-type programs, and the media assets of movies and the like belong to the non-episode-type media assets. For example, happiness, reach to the hands comprises 51 episodes, extreme challenges comprises 12 episodes in the first season, happiness, reach to the hands and extreme challenges belong to episode-like media assets, and warwolf's presence of an episode belongs to non-episode-like media assets.
In some embodiments, when the media assets are episode-type media assets, a selection instruction is received, and the watching progress of the media assets is determined according to the number of episodes in an episode list selected by the selection instruction. After the user selects the assets which the user wants to watch, if the assets are episode-type assets, the user needs to further select which episode of programs to watch in the episode list. For example, after the user opens a tv show of happy and reachable, the controller 250 selects a specific episode number of the program in the episode list to play by sending a selection operation through the remote controller. The controller 250 can determine the user's progress in viewing happiness, touchability, etc. by the number of episodes in the episode list selected by the user.
In some embodiments, when the assets are non-episode-type assets, monitoring an asset playing progress bar, and determining the viewing progress of the assets according to the playing progress indicated by the playing progress bar. After the user selects the desired asset, if the asset is a non-episode-like asset, the controller 250 directly controls the display 275 to play the asset. For example, after the user opens the movie warwolf, the controller 250 controls the display 275 to jump to the play interface for the playback of warwolf. The controller 250 determines the viewing progress of warwolf through the play progress indicated by the play progress bar in the play interface.
S740: and when the watching progress of the first media assets is larger than a preset threshold value, displaying the recommended page, and updating the first control into a second control.
In the embodiment of the application, whether the media asset is viewed is marked in different modes according to different types of the media assets. When the assets selected by the user are episode-type assets, the controller 250 further monitors the number of specific episodes selected by the user, when the last episode in the episode list is selected by the selection instruction, the watching progress of the user on the episode-type assets is determined to be larger than a preset threshold value, namely the episode-type assets are watched, and the controller 250 controls the display to display a recommendation page and sends a recommendation request to the server 400. The server 400 responds to the recommendation request, acquires the corresponding recommendation data of the second media asset and feeds the recommendation data back to the display device 200. The controller 250 updates the first control to the second control after receiving the recommendation data for the second asset. The second control is used for displaying a second graphic file corresponding to the second media asset, and the second control is used for enabling a display to play the second media asset after receiving the first operation. It should be noted that some episode-type assets are updated in real time, for example, 3 episodes are updated every week, in this case, the last episode displayed in the episode list is only the updated latest episode and is not the last episode of the entire episode-type assets, so in the present application, for the episode-type assets that are being updated, i.e., the updating is not completed, when the user views and completes the latest episode but not the last episode, the recommendation request is not sent to the server 400.
When the assets selected by the user are non-episode-type assets, the controller 250 further monitors the play progress bar of the assets, and when the play progress indicated by the play progress bar of the assets is greater than a preset progress value, the watching progress of the non-episode-type assets by the user is determined to be greater than a preset threshold value, that is, the non-episode-type assets are watched, and a recommendation request is sent to the server 400. Fig. 8 is a schematic diagram illustrating a playing interface of non-episode-like media assets according to some embodiments, and as shown in fig. 8, when the user watches the wars, the media asset playing progress bar below the playing interface indicates that the total duration of the wars is three to ten and four seconds for one hour, the user has already viewed and completed for twenty-five to twenty-four seconds, so the wars has already viewed and completed for more than 95%, the controller 250 may determine that the user has already viewed and completed the media asset, and may further send a recommendation request to the server 400.
In some embodiments, controller 250 sends a recommendation request to server 400 upon completion of the viewing of the asset presented in any of the hurdle boxes by the user. The server 400 responds to the recommendation request, checks the historical viewing record of the user portrait according to the recommendation request, generates a media asset content pool according to the preferred media asset types of the user portrait, and acquires corresponding recommendation data from the media asset content pool. The basic information of the registered user on the display device, such as name, sex, age, etc., and a series of browsing and playing behaviors are counted into some types, and the types are called as user figures. For example, children are counted as children according to their playing behaviors, and students are counted as students according to their playing behaviors. After acquiring the recommendation data, the server 400 issues the recommendation data to the display device 200, and the controller 250 receives the recommendation data.
For example, after the user views the warwolf, the server 400 selects warwolf 2 from the media content library as the recommended data to be fed back to the display device 200 according to the viewing preference of the user. When the user views the warwolf under the movie channel in fig. 6, the controller 250 controls the display 275 to return to the recommendation page through the play interface by a return button of the remote controller. Alternatively, the user may turn off the display device 200 by watching "warwolf" in the movie channel shown in fig. 6, and when the display device 200 is turned on again, the display 275 displays the recommendation page. When the display 275 jumps to the recommended page of the display device, the controller 250 replaces warwolf 2 retrieved from the server 400 to the location of the original warwolf.
S750: and when the watching progress of the first media assets is not larger than a preset threshold value, displaying the recommended page, and maintaining the display of the first control on the recommended page.
In this embodiment of the application, when the viewing progress of the first media asset is not greater than the preset threshold, the controller 250 controls the display 275 to display the recommended page, and maintains the display of the first control on the recommended page. When the assets selected by the user are episode-type assets, the controller 250 further monitors the number of specific episodes selected by the user, and when any episode other than the last episode in the episode list is selected by the selection instruction, the controller 250 can determine that the watching progress of the user on the episode-type assets is not greater than a preset threshold value, namely the episode-type assets are not watched and completed, and at this time, a recommendation request is not sent to the server 400. That is, data regarding the second asset is not requested from server 400, and the first control is not updated. When the assets selected by the user are non-episode-type assets, the controller 250 further monitors the play progress bar of the assets, and when the play progress indicated by the play progress bar is not greater than a preset progress value, the watching progress of the user on the episode-type assets is determined not to be greater than a preset threshold value, that is, the non-episode-type assets are not watched, and a recommendation request is not sent to the server 400.
In some embodiments, within the predetermined time period, if the controller has not sent the recommendation request, the recommendation request is sent to the server. That is, the user does not continue to view the content that is not viewed on the hurdle frame for a predetermined period of time, or the user does not view the content on the hurdle frame, the controller 250 sends a recommendation request to the server 400. For example, when the user watches an episode-like asset, the user has watched 26 episodes for a tv show containing 50 episodes, the user does not watch the episode-like program, but the user does not continue to watch the episode-like asset within 3 days, and then the controller 250 may transmit a recommendation request to the server 400. For another example, when the user watches a non-episode program, the playing interface exits after half of the assets are watched, that is, the playing of the assets is stopped, but the user does not continue to watch the assets within 3 days, and then the controller 250 may send a recommendation request to the server 400. Furthermore, even if there is no media asset that the user does not finish watching on the column frame, if the user has not watched the media asset through the display device 200 within 3 days, the controller 250 may send a recommendation request to the server 400 so as to update the media asset on the column frame. The method and the device can ensure that the content on the column frame is continuously updated, and ensure that more content is provided for the user to watch. Of course, the reason why the user does not continue to view the uncompleted viewed assets within the preset time may be that the user is not interested in the assets, or may not continue to view the assets due to some special conditions in work or life. If the uncompleted assets are not watched within the preset time due to special conditions, the assets which the user can still continue to return to watch are refreshed, and at the moment, even if the assets are already removed from the column frame, the user can search the corresponding assets for watching through the history record or the search interface of the display device 200.
In the present application, the controller 250 identifies the behavior of the user viewing the media assets displayed in the column frame in real time, and determines the viewing progress of the user on the media assets in the column frame. And acquiring recommendation data from the server 400 based on the viewing progress of the media assets to replace the media assets viewed and finished by the user on the column frame. Therefore, the display device provided by the embodiment of the application can update the watched media assets on the column frame in time, improve the recommendation efficiency and ensure that a user can have more choices when watching the media assets.
To further explain the process of automatically updating a column frame in the present application, an embodiment of the present application further provides a server, and the process of automatically updating a column frame provided in the embodiment of the present application is further described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
A flow diagram of another method of automatically updating a hurdle box according to some embodiments is illustrated in fig. 9. In connection with fig. 9, the method comprises the steps of:
s910: and when the watching progress of the first media asset is larger than a preset threshold value, receiving a recommendation request sent by the display equipment according to the watching progress of the first media asset.
In the embodiment of the present application, when the user selects the assets on the column frame for watching through the display device 200, a certain watching progress is generated according to the watched assets. Based on the viewing progress of the first asset generated by the user at the display device 200, when the viewing progress of the first asset is greater than a preset threshold, the display device 200 may send a recommendation request to the server 400, and the server 400 responds to the recommendation request.
In some embodiments, when the assets watched by the user are episode-type assets, the watching progress of the assets is determined according to the selection operation of the user on the number of episodes in the episode list. After the user selects the assets which the user wants to watch, if the assets are episode-type assets, the user needs to further select which episode of programs to watch in the episode list. For the episode-like assets that have been updated, if the user selects the last episode in the episode list, the controller 250 may determine that the viewing progress of the user on the episode-like assets is greater than a preset threshold, and then the viewing is completed on the episode-like assets. If the user selects any episode other than the last episode in the episode list, the controller 250 may determine that the viewing progress of the user on the episode-like assets is not greater than a preset threshold. In the present application, when the user views the episode-like asset, the display device 200 transmits a recommendation request to the server 400.
In some embodiments, when the assets watched by the user are non-episode-type assets, the display device 200 monitors the play progress bar of the assets, and when the play progress indicated by the play progress bar of the assets exceeds a preset progress value, it is determined that the watching progress of the non-episode-type assets by the user is greater than a preset threshold, that is, the watching of the non-episode-type assets is completed. And conversely, when the playing progress indicated by the media asset playing progress bar does not exceed the preset progress value, determining that the watching progress of the user on the non-episode-type media assets is not greater than a preset threshold value. In the present application, when the user views the non-episode-like asset, the display device 200 transmits a recommendation request to the server 400.
In some embodiments, the display apparatus 200 transmits a recommendation request to the server 400 if the recommendation request has not been transmitted within a predetermined time period. For example, for the uncompleted viewing of the media assets, within 5 days, the user does not select to view the media assets continuously, and then the display device 200 in the present application also sends a recommendation request to the server 400, so that the effect of updating the media assets on the column frame in time is achieved.
S920: and acquiring recommendation data in a media asset content pool according to the recommendation request, wherein the media asset content pool contains various media assets acquired based on historical viewing records and user portraits.
In the embodiment of the present application, after receiving the recommendation request from the display device 200, the server 400 responds to the recommendation request, views the historical viewing record of the user portrait according to the recommendation request, generates a media asset content pool according to a preferred media asset type of the user portrait, and obtains corresponding recommendation data from the media asset content pool.
For example, when it is monitored that the user portrays media assets such as "red sea action" and "warring wolf", etc., the server 400 can know that the user likes military and patriotic media assets, so that the server 400 can attribute the media assets such as "warring wolf 2", "mei highway action", and "rushing out amazon" to the media asset content pool.
In the embodiment of the present application, in response to the recommendation request, the server 400 selects the assets in the asset content pool based on the user asset preference, the asset popularity, the asset freshness and the asset score. The user's media asset preference refers to the user's preference for the type of media assets, for example, whether the user likes military and patriotic movies, artistic movies, comedy movies, etc. The popularity of the media assets refers to the playing amount of a certain media asset counted based on the current big data, and the popularity of the media asset is larger when the playing amount of the media asset is higher. The freshness of the media assets is determined by the showing date of the media assets, and the later the showing date is, the higher the freshness of the media assets is. For example, for bean scoring, the user is required to register an account, then search for a movie that the user wants to score, click to see, and then score the movie or comment on the related content of the movie. In the above, the server 400 selects the type of the media assets preferred by the user from the media asset content pool, and selects the movie with the highest popularity of the media assets, the latest date of showing the media assets, and the highest score of the media assets as the recommendation data.
S930: and sending the recommendation data to the display equipment so that the display equipment updates a first control for displaying the first media asset into a second control for displaying a second media asset.
In this embodiment of the application, after the server 400 acquires the recommendation data, the recommendation data is fed back to the display device 400, the display device 400 receives the recommendation data, and when the display 275 returns to the recommendation page, the controller 250 updates the first control for displaying the first media asset to the second control for displaying the second media asset according to the received recommendation data.
The server in the application can acquire the recommendation data based on the watching progress of the user on the media assets, so that when the user watches the media assets on the column frame, the recommendation data can be fed back to the display device in time, the display device updates the recommendation data to the column frame in time, and the recommendation efficiency is greatly improved.
Based on the same inventive concept as the display device, an embodiment of the present application further provides a method for automatically updating a column frame, where the method includes: when a recommended page is displayed, a controller in display equipment receives input first operation aiming at a first control, wherein the first control is used for displaying a first graphic file corresponding to the first media asset, the first control is used for enabling the display to play the first media asset after the first operation is received, and the controller controls the display to play the first media asset. And after the first media asset starts to be played, the controller responds to the input operation of returning to the recommended page, and determines the watching progress of the first media asset. And when the watching progress of the first media assets is larger than a preset threshold, the controller controls the display to display the recommended page and updates the first control into a second control, wherein the second control is used for displaying a second graphic file corresponding to the second media assets, and the second control is used for enabling the display to play the second media assets after receiving the first operation. And when the watching progress of the first media assets is not larger than a preset threshold value, a controller controls a display to display the recommended page and maintains the display of the first control on the recommended page.
In some embodiments, the controller determines the viewing progress of the asset by identifying a behavior of the user viewing the asset presented in the hurdle frame, including: the controller moves the focus to the column frame by receiving an operation instruction input by a user, and further receives a media asset selection operation displayed by the column frame by the user. When the media assets selected by the user are episode-type media assets, the controller receives a selection instruction, and determines the watching progress of the media assets according to the number of episodes in an episode list selected by the selection instruction. When the assets selected by the user are non-episode-type assets, the controller monitors an asset playing progress bar, and determines the watching progress of the assets according to the playing progress indicated by the playing progress bar.
In some embodiments, the viewing progress of the first asset is greater than a preset threshold, including: and receiving a selection operation of the last episode in the episode list, or the playing progress indicated by the playing progress bar is greater than a preset progress value.
In some embodiments, the viewing progress of the first asset is not greater than a preset threshold, including: and receiving a selection operation on any episode in the episode list, which is not the last episode, or the playing progress indicated by the playing progress bar is not greater than a preset progress value.
The following further describes a process of automatically updating a column box in the embodiment of the present application with reference to the drawings.
