a base (1) with a free side supporting leg (13) is arranged on the base frame (14) close to the billet discharging side of the continuous casting machine, and a key groove is not formed in the top of the base (1);
the center of the upper leg bolt hole (5) of the base (1) of the free side leg (13) is taken as a detection point, and the center position of the base (1) of the free side leg (13) is adjusted; enabling the distances between the base (1) and the casting center line of the continuous casting machine and the rear edge line of the continuous casting machine to accord with the design values, simultaneously checking the center distance between the base (1) and the fixed side leg (12) and the center distance between the base (1) and the key (7), and welding and fixing the base on a basic frame (14) after the adjustment is finished;
when the top plane of the base (1) is used as an elevation detection point for adjustment, the elevation detection point is slightly lower than a designed value by 3-5mm, so that the elevation adjustment can be conveniently carried out by using an adjusting gasket (8) when the sliding seat (2) is accurately positioned;

The slide seat (2) is positioned on the base (1) of the fixed side leg (12), and the distance between the slide seat and the rear edge line of the continuous casting machine is adjusted by taking the center of a top positioning pin (10) as a reference; the adjustment principle is that the long edge of a key groove arranged at the bottom of the sliding seat (2) is larger than the long edge of the key (7) so that the sliding seat (2) can slide back and forth along the key (7), and the sliding seat (2) can move back and forth by using an adjusting bolt (9) arranged on the side surface of a trapezoidal boss at the top of the base (1); the distance between the center of the positioning pin (10) and the rear edge line of the continuous casting machine is adjusted to meet the design requirement; after adjustment is completed, the wedge (3) is installed in place, the inclined plane of the long side of the wedge is in close fit with the inclined plane of the trapezoidal boss at the top of the base (1), the vertical plane of the long side of the wedge tightly abuts against the side face of the sliding seat (2), and the wedge (3) is fixed on the trapezoidal boss at the top of the base (1) by using a connecting bolt; then, fixing the sliding seat (2) on the base (1) of the fixed side leg (12) by using a sliding seat fixing bolt (11);
the elevation of the sliding seat (2) is adjusted by taking the top plane thereof as an adjusting reference, and the elevation of the sliding seat (2) is enabled to meet the design requirement by increasing and decreasing adjusting gaskets (8) arranged between the sliding seat (2) and the base (1);
because the short edge of the key (7) is tightly matched with the short edge of the key slot at the bottom of the sliding seat (2), when the distance between the center of the positioning pin (10) and the rear edge line of the continuous casting machine is adjusted, the distance between the center of the positioning pin (10) and the casting center line of the continuous casting machine cannot be changed, and the distance is ensured by the positioning size of the key (7) when the base (1) is positioned in the step 1; the size of the positioning pin (10) from the rear edge line of the continuous casting machine is only adjusted in the adjusting process of the fixed side leg (12) sliding seat (2);
step 3, installing the sliding seat (2) of the free side supporting leg (13)
The sliding seat (2) is positioned on the base (1) of the free side leg (13), the base (1) is not provided with a key (7), the top of the sliding seat (2) is not provided with a positioning pin (10), and the side surface of the trapezoidal boss at the top of the base (1) is not provided with an adjusting bolt (6); the center of a supporting leg bolt hole (5) at the top of the sliding seat (2) is taken as a positioning reference, the top plane of the sliding seat (2) is taken as an elevation positioning reference, and the distance between the part and the rear edge line of the continuous casting machine and the casting center line of the continuous casting machine is checked to enable the distance to accord with a design value; finally, fixing the sliding seat (2) on the base (1) of the free side leg (13) by using a sliding seat fixing bolt (11);

in the adjusting process of the free side leg (13), the relative position change is realized by utilizing a +/-5 mm gap reserved between the leg bolt hole (5) and the connecting bolt, so that the free side leg meets the design requirement, and after the free side leg is adjusted, the fixed side leg (12) is fixed with the sliding seat (2) and the base (1) together by using the connecting bolt; after the installation and adjustment are completed, the wedge (3) is installed in place, the long-edge inclined plane of the wedge is tightly matched with the inclined plane of the trapezoidal boss at the top of the base (1), the long-edge vertical plane of the wedge tightly abuts against the side face of the sliding seat (2) and the side face of the free side supporting leg (13), and the wedge (3) is fixed on the trapezoidal boss at the top of the base (1) by using a connecting bolt.
