Abstract
The invention discloses a dispensing head for sealing glue on a step edge of a display screen, which comprises a dispensing head shell, wherein the dispensing head shell is provided with a glue inlet and a glue outlet, and the glue inlet is communicated with the glue outlet; the glue outlet comprises an end face opening and a side face opening, and the end face opening is intersected with the side face opening. According to the invention, the glue is applied to the step edge of the display screen through the glue dispensing head, the glue is discharged from the rear side of the moving direction of the glue dispensing head, the glue sealing requirements of step surfaces with different thicknesses and widths are met by controlling the shape and the size of the glue outlet, the step edge glue sealing can be completed at one time, and the efficiency and the glue sealing quality can be improved.

Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of display screen sealing glue, in particular to a dispensing head for sealing glue on a step edge of a display screen and a method for sealing glue on the step edge of the display screen.
Background
Most of the existing liquid crystal display devices in the market are Backlight liquid crystal displays (lcds), which include a liquid crystal display panel and a Backlight Module (Backlight Module). The liquid crystal display panel has the working principle that liquid crystal molecules are placed in two parallel glass substrates, a plurality of vertical and horizontal fine wires are arranged between the two glass substrates, and the liquid crystal molecules are controlled to change directions by electrifying or not, so that light rays of the backlight module are refracted out to generate pictures. Generally, a Liquid Crystal display panel includes a Color Filter (CF) substrate, a Thin Film Transistor (TFT) substrate, a Liquid Crystal (LC) sandwiched between the color filter substrate and the TFT substrate, and a Sealant frame (Sealant).
In the production and manufacturing process of the display screen, in order to protect the display panel and ensure that the display panel can normally display, liquid such as water, acid, alkali and the like cannot enter the middle of the two layers of glass, glue is needed to be used for sealing the cross section of the display panel, after part of cross section glue permeates the middle of the two layers of glass, the glue is cured (generally UV glue is used and UV light is used during curing), and the protection effect is achieved.
In the existing glue sealing process, the glue coating treatment difficulty on the step edge of the display screen is high, a repeated glue sealing method is generally adopted, the glue sealing efficiency is low, the uniformity is poor, manpower and material resources are wasted, and the working efficiency is low.

in the invention, the glue is applied to the step edge of the display screen by the glue dispensing head, the glue is discharged from the rear side of the moving direction of the glue dispensing head, the glue sealing requirements of step surfaces with different thicknesses and widths are met by controlling the shape and the size of the glue outlet, the step edge glue sealing can be completed at one time, and the efficiency and the glue sealing quality can be improved.

Detailed Description
Referring to fig. 1-3, the dispensing head for sealing a step edge of a display screen according to the present invention includes a dispensing head housing 1, the dispensing head housing 1 is provided with a glue inlet 2 and a glue outlet 3, the glue inlet 2 is communicated with the glue outlet 3, the glue outlet 3 includes an end opening 31 and a side opening 32, and the end opening 31 intersects with the side opening 32.
The dispensing head is used for sealing the display screen with the step edge. As shown in fig. 1, the display screen includes a first glass substrate 4 and a second glass substrate 5, the second glass substrate 5 covers an end surface of the first glass substrate 4, the end surface includes a display surface 41 covered by the second glass substrate 5 and a frame sealing surface 42 uncovered and located around the display surface 41, and a step edge is formed by a side surface of the first glass substrate 4, the frame sealing surface 42 and a side surface of the second glass substrate 5.
In order to meet the sealing requirements for the step edge of the display screen, the applied glue is generally required to adhere to at least the frame sealing glue surface 42 and the side surface of the second glass substrate 5 to form a seal between the gaps of the two glass layers. When gluing through the dispensing head of this embodiment, the terminal surface opening 31 of going out jiao kou 3 pastes the side that leans on at second glass substrate 5, and side opening 32 is roughly perpendicular to frame face 42 of sealing glue, and the dispensing head removes the gluey along display screen side direction, and glue is by the side of terminal surface opening 31 adhesion second glass substrate 5, flows out and the adhesion at frame face 42 of sealing glue by side opening 32 simultaneously to form the layer of sealing glue that has preset thickness and width.
According to the above analysis, the side openings 32 with proper shape and size can control the gluing to reach the expected thickness and width, so that the gluing work can be completed at one time, and the gluing uniformity is good. In the present embodiment, the shape of the side opening 32 is preferably a semi-ellipse, the width of the side opening 32 in the thickness direction of the display screen is substantially the same as the thickness of the second glass substrate 5, and the length of the side opening 32 is substantially the same as the width of the frame sealing surface 42. Since the glue is applied with a certain flow-casting property, it can be understood by those skilled in the art that the size and shape of the side opening 32 are equivalent to those of the step gap of the cross section of the step edge.
In a further embodiment, the glue outlets 3 include a first glue outlet and a second glue outlet, the end openings 31 of the two glue outlets 3 face the same direction, the end openings 31 of the two glue outlets 3 are distributed in a staggered arrangement along the facing direction, and the side openings 32 of the two glue outlets 3 are located on the same side.
The display screen frame glue can not only play a role in sealing, but also can protect the side edge of the glass substrate. Therefore, in some sealing processes for step edges of display screens, it is desirable that the glue can be cured to wrap the side edges of the entire display screen, i.e. the glue is applied to the side surfaces of the first glass substrate 4, the frame sealing surface 42 and the second glass substrate 5.
According to the dispensing head with two glue outlets 3 in this embodiment, the end openings 31 of the two glue outlets 3 are distributed along the direction of the dispensing head in a staggered arrangement, so that the staggered distance between the two end openings 31 is the same as the width of the frame glue sealing surface 42 of the display screen. During gluing, the two end openings 31 can be respectively attached to the side surface of the first glass substrate 4 and the side surface of the second glass substrate 5, the two side openings 32 are arranged in a direction approximately perpendicular to the end surface of the display screen, and glue can be simultaneously applied to the side surface of the first glass substrate 4, the frame glue sealing surface 42 and the side surface of the second glass substrate 5. Subsequently, the glue on the side surface of the first glass substrate 4 and the frame sealing glue surface 42 can be seamlessly fused due to the self-fluidity, so that the complete sealing glue processing of the step edge of the display screen can be completed at one time.
As shown in fig. 3, in this example, the dispensing head housing 1 includes a needle base 11 and a needle 12, the needle 12 includes a first rubber outlet tube 12a and a second rubber outlet tube 12b, the two rubber outlet tubes are parallel, the inner ends of the first rubber outlet tube 12a and the second rubber outlet tube 12b are connected with the needle base 11, and preferably, the inner ends of the two rubber outlet tubes connected with the needle base 11 are integrally formed.
The glue inlet 2 is arranged on the needle seat 11, and the needle seat 11 is used for connecting a glue dispensing rubber tube and is preferably connected with the glue dispensing rubber tube in a detachable mode. The two glue outlets 3 are respectively arranged at the outer ends of the first glue outlet pipe 12a and the second glue outlet pipe 12b, a flow passage for communicating the glue inlet 2 and the glue outlet 3 is arranged inside the needle head 12 and the needle seat 11, the length of the first glue outlet pipe 12a is smaller than that of the second glue outlet pipe 12b, and one ends of the two glue outlet pipes, which are provided with the glue outlets 3, are staggered. The plane of the end face openings 31 of the glue outlets 3 is vertical to the axial lead of the needle head 12, the two end face openings 31 are distributed along the length direction of the tube in a staggered arrangement, and the side face openings 32 of the two glue outlets 3 are positioned at the same side of the glue outlet tube.
Manufacturing a dispensing head according to the step edge size of the display screen to be sealed with glue: the staggered distance of the two end face openings 31 is controlled to be the same as the width of the frame glue sealing surface 42 of the display screen to be processed; controlling the shape and the size of the side opening 32 of the second rubber outlet pipe 12b to be equivalent to the size and the shape of a step gap of the cross section of the step edge; the shape and size of the side opening 32 of the first glue outlet pipe 12a are controlled to be equivalent to the size and shape of the cross section of the required coating glue layer on the side surface of the first glass substrate 4.
As shown in fig. 1 and 3, in some embodiments, a positioning groove 33 is provided on a sidewall of the end surface opening 31 of the first glue outlet tube 12a and/or the second glue outlet tube 12b, a section of protrusion is formed on a tube wall at two ends of the positioning groove 33 for positioning and clamping a side edge of a glass substrate of the display screen, and the positioning groove 33 is configured to slidably cooperate with the side edge of the glass substrate to apply glue along the step edge of the display screen through the glue outlet 3. The end opening walls of the first rubber outlet pipe 12a and the second rubber outlet pipe 12b can be clamped on the side edge of the glass substrate through the positioning groove 33, on one hand, the rubber outlet 3 can be positioned conveniently, on the other hand, the positioning groove 33 can play a role in guiding in the rubber applying process so as to enable the rubber outlet 3 to be kept stable all the time, and therefore the rubber applying effect is improved. Obviously, the dispensing head with the positioning groove 33 is more suitable for manual operation of sealing, and if the operation of moving and applying glue is completed by a machine, the positioning groove 33 is not necessary.

providing a display screen, wherein the display screen comprises a first glass substrate 4 and a second glass substrate 5, and the second glass substrate 5 is covered on one end face of the first glass substrate 4, and the end face comprises a display surface 41 covered by the second glass substrate 5 and a frame sealing glue surface 42 which is not covered and is positioned at the periphery of the display surface 41; the side surface of the first glass substrate 4, the frame glue sealing surface 42 and the side surface of the second glass substrate 5 form a display screen step edge;
the end face openings 31 of the first glue outlet and the second glue outlet of the glue dispensing head are opposite to the side face of the first glass substrate 4 and the side face of the second glass substrate 5;
dispensing glue from the side openings 32 and the end openings 31 of the dispensing head by moving the dispensing head at a constant speed along the side direction of the display screen, the direction of movement of the dispensing head being opposite to the orientation of the side openings 32 of the first and second glue outlets;
-applying glue over the entire step edge of the display screen;
-curing the glue on the display screen after the glue application is completed.
In summary, the dispensing head for sealing the edge of the display screen step and the method for sealing the edge of the display screen step can meet the sealing requirements of step surfaces with different thicknesses and widths by controlling the shape and the size of the glue outlet, can finish the glue application operation on the edge of the display screen step at one time, and have the advantages of convenient use, good glue application effect and low manufacturing cost.
