Disclosure of Invention
[ problem to be solved by the invention ]
In a vehicle with a frame in which a main body such as a cab is supported by the frame via a bracket structure such as rubber, the main body side and the frame side move relatively when the vehicle is running. Therefore, as in patent document 1, when a bumper skirt (air dam) is held at the lower end of a bumper (bumper body), and the front end of a tray plate (under hood) is fixed to the bumper skirt, and the rear end of the tray plate is held at the frame side (front cross member), it is necessary to support the bumper at the frame side rather than at the body side.
However, in the case of supporting the bumper on the frame side, a gap needs to be provided between the upper edge portion of the bumper and the main body side in order to prevent interference between the two, and such a gap may deteriorate the aesthetic appearance, and may cause an increase in air resistance or wind noise during traveling, and therefore, the bumper structure of patent document 1 cannot be applied in some cases where the bumper of the vehicle with the frame is supported on the main body side rather than the frame side.
Accordingly, an object of the present disclosure is to provide a bumper skirt that can be suitably applied to a vehicle with a frame, in which a bumper is supported on a main body side, and a tray plate that covers an engine from below behind a center in a vehicle width direction of the bumper is supported on a frame side.
[ means for solving the technical problems ]
In order to achieve the above object, the present disclosure provides a bumper skirt for a vehicle with a frame, in which a main body is supported on the frame via a bracket structure, a bumper extending in a vehicle width direction at a front end lower portion of the vehicle is supported on a main body side, a tray plate covering an engine from below behind a center of the bumper in the vehicle width direction is supported on the frame side, and the bumper skirt includes a center skirt and left and right side skirts.
The central skirt is disposed below the tray plate and is fixed to the tray plate without being supported by the body side. The left and right side skirts are disposed on the left and right sides of the center skirt and are fixed to the bumper without being supported on the frame side. The center skirt portion and the left and right side skirt portions are aligned in the vehicle width direction below and behind the bumper. The front end of the central skirt portion is spaced apart from the bumper.
In the above-described configuration, the bumper skirt is divided (three-divided) into the center skirt portion at the center in the vehicle width direction and the left and right side skirt portions, and the center skirt portion is fixed to the tray plate on the vehicle frame side, and the left and right side skirt portions are fixed to the bumper on the main body side, so that the center skirt portion and the left and right side skirt portions relatively move when the main body side and the vehicle frame side relatively move during running of the vehicle or the like. Further, since the front end portion of the center skirt portion is separated from the bumper, interference between the center skirt portion and the bumper can be avoided. That is, the tray plate can be provided at the rear lower side of the bumper without causing interference due to relative movement between the main body side and the frame side.
Since the bumper skirt is provided at the rear lower portion of the bumper, the traveling wind flowing into the lower portion of the vehicle from the front side can smoothly flow to the rear side through the bumper skirt when the vehicle travels, and the traveling resistance (air resistance during traveling) can be reduced, thereby improving fuel consumption.
A gap is provided between the front end portion of the center skirt portion and the bumper, but since the gap is provided only in the center and not in the entire vehicle width direction, it is difficult to deteriorate the aesthetic appearance and suppress an increase in air resistance and wind noise during running, as compared with a case where a single bumper skirt portion extending in the entire vehicle width direction is supported on the vehicle frame side (a case where the gap is provided in the entire vehicle width direction).
In addition, in the case where the single bumper skirt is fixed to the tray plate on the vehicle frame side, the bumper skirt extends to the outside in the vehicle width direction long on the left and right sides of the tray plate, and thus it is difficult to stabilize the supported state. In contrast, in the above-described configuration, since the left and right side skirts of the tray plate are supported on the main body side, the front portion of the side skirts is fixed to the bumper, and the rear portion is fixed to another member (for example, an inner liner on the main body side) on the main body side, so that the supported state can be stabilized.
[ Effect of the invention ]
The bumper skirt of the present disclosure can be suitably applied to a vehicle with a frame in which a bumper is supported on a vehicle body side and a tray plate covering an engine from below behind a center of the bumper in a vehicle width direction is supported on the vehicle frame side.

Detailed Description
Hereinafter, a first embodiment of the present disclosure will be described based on the drawings. In the present embodiment, the pickup truck is illustrated as the vehicle 1 with a frame, but the vehicle with a frame is not limited to the pickup truck. FR IN the drawing indicates the front of the vehicle, UP IN the drawing indicates the upper side of the vehicle, and IN the drawing indicates the inner side IN the vehicle width direction. In the following description, the front-rear direction refers to the front-rear direction of the vehicle, and the left-right direction refers to the left-right direction in a state of being directed toward the front of the vehicle.
As shown in fig. 1, in a vehicle 1 with a frame, a main body 2 such as a cab is elastically supported by a frame (vehicle body frame) 3 via a bracket structure (not shown), and the main body 2 side and the frame 3 side move relatively when the vehicle is running. The frame 3 includes side members 3A extending in the front-rear direction on both the left and right sides in the vehicle width direction, and a cross member 3B (see fig. 4) extending in the vehicle width direction and connecting the left and right side members 3A. A bumper (front bumper) 4 extending in the vehicle width direction is provided at a front end lower portion of the vehicle 1. The bumper 4 is fixed to the main body 2 side.
As shown in fig. 2 and 4, a tray plate 5 is provided at the rear of the center of the bumper 4 in the vehicle width direction, and covers an engine (not shown) from below. A cap-shaped lower bracket 6 is fixed to the upper surface of the tray plate 5, and a vertical plate portion of an l-shaped upper bracket 7 is fastened and fixed to the front surface of the frame cross member 3B by bolts and nuts 8, and the lower bracket 6 is fastened and fixed to a horizontal plate portion of the upper bracket 7 by bolts and nuts 9. In this way, the tray 5 is fixed to the frame 3 side.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, a bumper skirt 10 is provided in a range of substantially the entire area in the vehicle width direction, obliquely below the rear of the bumper 4 and below the tray plate 5. The bumper skirt 10 is divided into three parts, i.e., a center skirt 11 and left and right side skirts 12. The center skirt 11 and the left and right side skirts 12 are aligned in the vehicle width direction below and behind the bumper 4.
The central skirt 11 is arranged opposite the underside of the tray deck 5. As shown in fig. 4, a cap-shaped central skirt attachment portion 13 is formed to protrude from the upper surface of the central skirt 11, and the central skirt attachment portion 13 is fastened and fixed to the lower surface of the tray plate 5 by bolts and nuts 14. That is, the central skirt 11 is fixed to the tray plate 5 without being supported by the main body 2. In this state, the front end portion of the central skirt portion 11 is separated rearward from the rear end portion (lower end portion) of the bumper 4.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the left and right side skirts 12 are disposed on the left and right sides of the central skirt 11. As shown in fig. 5, a cap-shaped side skirt front attachment portion 15 is formed to protrude from the upper surface of the front portion of the side skirt 12, and the side skirt front attachment portion 15 is fastened and fixed to the lower surface of the bumper 4 by bolts and nuts 16. Further, at the rear end portion of the side skirt 12, a side skirt rear attachment portion 17 extending upward and bending rearward is integrally formed, and the side skirt rear attachment portion 17 is fastened and fixed to the lower surface of the inner liner 18 on the side of the main body 2 by bolts and nuts 19. That is, the side skirt 12 is fixed to the bumper 4 without being supported on the frame 3 side.
According to the present embodiment, the bumper skirt 10 is divided (three-divided) into the center skirt 11 and the left and right side skirts 12 in the vehicle width direction center, the center skirt 11 is fixed to the tray plate 5 on the vehicle frame 3 side, and the left and right side skirts 12 are fixed to the bumper 4 and the inner liner 18 on the main body 2 side, so that the center skirt 11 and the left and right side skirts 12 relatively move when the main body 2 side and the vehicle frame 3 side relatively move during running of the vehicle or the like. Further, since the front end portion of the center skirt 11 is separated from the bumper 4, interference between the center skirt 11 and the bumper 4 can be avoided. That is, the tray plate 5 can be provided at the rear lower side of the bumper 4 without causing interference due to the relative movement between the main body 2 side and the vehicle frame 3 side.
Since the bumper skirt 10 is provided at the rear lower side of the bumper 4, the traveling wind flowing into the lower portion of the vehicle 1 from the front side can smoothly flow rearward by the bumper skirt 10 when the vehicle travels, and the traveling resistance (air resistance during traveling) can be reduced to improve the fuel consumption.
Since the gap is provided between the front end portion of the center skirt 11 and the bumper 4, the gap is provided only in the center and not in the entire vehicle width direction, and thus, compared to the case where a single bumper skirt extending in the entire vehicle width direction is supported on the vehicle frame 3 side (the case where the gap is provided in the entire vehicle width direction), the aesthetic appearance is hardly impaired, and the increase in air resistance during running, the generation of wind noise, and the like can be suppressed.
In the case of fixing the single bumper skirt to the tray plate 5 on the side of the vehicle frame 3, the bumper skirt extends to the outside in the vehicle width direction long on the left and right sides of the tray plate 5, and thus it is difficult to stabilize the supported state. In contrast, in the present embodiment, the left and right side skirts 12 of the tray plate 5 are supported on the main body 2 side, and the front portions of the side skirts 12 are fixed to the bumper 4 and the rear portions are fixed to the inner liner 18, so that the supported state of the side skirts 12 can be stabilized.
The present disclosure has been described based on the above embodiments, but the present disclosure is not limited to the above embodiments, and can be appropriately modified without departing from the scope of the present disclosure. That is, it is needless to say that other embodiments, examples, application techniques, and the like, which are obtained from this embodiment by those skilled in the art, are all included in the scope of the present disclosure.
For example, the structure of fixing the center skirt 11 to the tray panel 5 or the structure of fixing the side skirt 12 to the main body 2 side including the bumper 4 or the inner liner 18 is not limited to the structure of the above embodiment, and various structures may be employed.
The present application is based on the Japanese patent application filed on 27 of 3.2019 (Japanese patent application No. 2019-60552), the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.
