Detailed Description
The present application will be described in further detail with reference to the drawings and examples, in order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present application more apparent. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are for purposes of illustration only and are not intended to limit the scope of the application.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of an application scenario of a conditional handover method according to an embodiment of the present application, where, as shown in fig. 1, the scenario includes a user terminal, a Source cell base station (Source eNB) and a Target cell base station (Target eNB), and when a user moves from one cell to another cell, or due to reasons such as adjustment of a radio transmission traffic load, maintenance of an activation operation, equipment failure, etc., in order to ensure continuity of communication and quality of service, a communication link between the user and the Source cell base station is transferred to the Target cell base station, that is, a handover process is performed.
Currently, the following conclusions are reached in the current 3GPP discussion for handover conditions: 1. and 2, the conditions for triggering the condition switching can be configured by using the conditions for triggering the measurement reporting for the cells for triggering the condition switching.
Considering conclusion 2, the condition for triggering the condition switching can be configured by using the Measurement identifier (Measurement ID) for Measurement reporting, but the conventional Measurement identifier is used for triggering the Measurement reporting, so that the condition switching method provided by the application can solve the problem of how to configure the condition for triggering the condition switching by using the condition for triggering the Measurement reporting. However, the present application is not limited to solving the technical problem of how to configure the condition for triggering the condition switching using the condition for triggering the measurement report, but may be used to solve other technical problems.
Furthermore, how to ensure that the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting for the cell triggering the conditional handover, that is, to avoid the UE triggering the corresponding measurement reporting, there are three cases to be distinguished:
1) The measurement identifier is used for triggering measurement report, and is not used for triggering condition switching, namely the function of the traditional measurement identifier;
2) The measurement identifier is used for triggering condition switching and is not used for triggering measurement reporting, so that the measurement identifier is indicated to be only used for the condition switching;
3) The measurement identity is used for triggering both measurement reporting and triggering conditional handover, which may be the case, for example, for target neighbor cells, and for other neighbor cells, for triggering measurement reporting.
The following describes the condition switching method provided by the embodiment of the present application in detail for the above three cases.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart of a conditional switching method according to an embodiment of the present application, where an execution body of the method is a user terminal. As shown in fig. 2, the method includes:
s201, user equipment receives a configuration message sent by access network equipment; the configuration message comprises measurement reporting configuration and condition switching configuration; the measurement report configuration and/or the conditional switching configuration comprises a measurement identifier, wherein the measurement identifier is used for indicating whether to trigger measurement report.
The measurement report configuration is used for configuring conditions of measurement report, such as a measurement object, a measurement report triggering mode and the like. The conditional handover configuration is used for configuring the conditional handover condition, and when the UE conditional handover condition, the cell handover can be directly performed. The following is a detailed description of the measurement report configuration, taking radio resource management (Radio Resource Management, RRM) measurement report configuration as an example.
For example, the UE performs measurement according to measurement report configuration issued by the access network device, performs measurement report evaluation when a certain trigger condition is satisfied, and if the report condition is satisfied, the UE performs filling of a measurement report and includes the measurement report in the measurement report and sends the measurement report to the access network device. Measurement reporting is divided into three categories:
1) Event triggering: the UE triggers the sending of the measurement report only when the measurement event of the network configuration enters the threshold and lasts for a period of time, and the flow ends after the measurement report is sent once. The reporting configuration corresponding to this criterion is:
the trigger type is an event and comprises a measurement event obtained from A1-A6 and B1-B2 and a threshold parameter thereof;
reporting times are 1;
the reporting interval is ignored by the UE no matter what value is allocated.
2) Periodically reporting: after reporting the network configuration measurement, the UE performs measurement of the corresponding frequency point according to the configuration content and sends a measurement report according to a specified reporting period and interval.
The trigger period contains reporting destination "reportCGI", "reportstrongstcell";
if the reporting destination is "reportCG1", the number of reporting times is equal to 1, and if the reporting destination is "reportstrongstcell", the number of reporting times may be greater than 1.
Once the UE is configured with the report cgi reporting purpose, the UE starts a T321 timer, so that in order for the network to obtain the information required for building the neighbor cell list as soon as possible, if the content required for reporting is already obtained before the T321 timer times out, the UE may stop T321 and initiate reporting in advance.
3) Reporting an event triggering period: the UE triggers the sending of the measurement report only when the measurement trigger event of the network configuration enters the threshold and lasts for a period of time, and after the report is triggered, a timer between a plurality of times of measurement and a counter of the number of times of measurement are started until the number of times of report reaches the requirement, and the process is ended. The reporting configuration corresponding to this criterion is:
The trigger type is an event, and comprises one measurement event from A1 to A5 and a threshold parameter thereof;
reporting times are more than 1;
the reporting interval is effective, and the network sets a reporting period timer according to the configured interval parameters.
In this embodiment, the ue may receive a configuration message sent by the access network device, where the configuration message includes a measurement reporting configuration and a conditional switching configuration, and the conditional switching configuration reuses a measurement identifier in the measurement reporting configuration, where the measurement identifier is redefined, and does not trigger measurement reporting under some preset conditions. For example, the measurement identifier may be defined in a measurement report configuration, and when the attribute value of the measurement identifier is TRUE, the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement report, and if the measurement identifier is included in a conditional switch configuration at the same time, the measurement identifier is also switched with a trigger condition. Or the measurement identifier is defined in the condition switching configuration and used for triggering the condition switching, and the attribute value of the measurement identifier is FALSE, so that the measurement identifier does not trigger the measurement report. Or, the measurement identifier is predefined in the protocol to trigger the conditional switch and is not used to trigger the measurement report, so that the measurement report is not triggered whether the measurement identifier is defined in the measurement report configuration or the conditional switch configuration. Alternatively, the measurement identity may be set to trigger measurement reporting for cells in the whitelisted cell list, not to trigger measurement reporting for cells outside the measurement identity, and so on. Different preset conditions can be set according to actual conditions, so that the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting in some scenes.
According to the condition switching method provided by the embodiment, the user equipment receives the configuration message sent by the access network equipment, the configuration message comprises measurement reporting configuration and condition switching configuration, and the measurement reporting configuration and/or the condition switching configuration comprises measurement identifiers, so that when the measurement identifiers in the measurement reporting are reused to trigger the condition switching in some scenes, the corresponding measurement reporting is not triggered.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart of a conditional handover method according to an embodiment of the present application, where an execution body of the method is an access network device, for example, a cell base station. As shown in fig. 3, the method includes:
s301, the access network equipment sends a configuration message to the user equipment; the configuration message comprises measurement reporting configuration and condition switching configuration; the measurement report configuration and/or the conditional switching configuration comprises a measurement identifier, wherein the measurement identifier is used for indicating whether to trigger measurement report.
The measurement report configuration is used for configuring conditions of measurement report, such as a measurement object, a measurement report triggering mode and the like. The condition switching configuration is used for configuring the condition of the condition switching, and when the condition of the condition switching of the UE is met, the cell switching can be directly carried out. The measurement report configuration will be described in detail below using a radio resource management (Radio Resource Management, RRM) measurement report configuration as an example.
In a long term evolution (Long Term Evolution, LTE) system, an access network device sends measurement reporting configuration to a UE in a connected state, and the UE performs measurement (same frequency, different technology) according to the content of the measurement reporting configuration, and then reports a measurement result to the access network device. The access network device uses the connection reconfiguration to carry out measurement configuration, and the measurement reporting configuration comprises the following contents:
1) Object of measurement (Measurement Object): with frequency point as basic unit, each configured measurement object is a single frequency point, and has a single measurement object Identification (ID), for common frequency and different frequency measurement of evolved universal radio access (Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access, E-UTRA), the measurement object is a single E-UTRA carrier frequency, and cells related to the carrier frequency, and the E-UTRA may configure a white list cell list and a black list cell list.
a) For the white list cell list, the LTE system determines whether to measure and report only for cells in the white list cell list in combination with the white list cell list (use White Cell List) in the measurement reporting configuration.
b) The UE does not perform any operation on the blacklisted cells in the measurement evaluation and measurement report.
2) The measurement reporting mode comprises the following steps: each mode is divided into event Trigger report and periodic Trigger report according to types, and each mode is provided with a separate Identification (ID), wherein the event Trigger report comprises event types, threshold values and duration (Time to Trigger) meeting Trigger conditions. The periodic trigger reporting includes reporting period, and periodic trigger purpose. The co-frequency/inter-frequency measurement events in the current LTE system include the following:
-Event A1:Serving becomes better than absolute threshold;
-Event A2:Serving becomes worse than absolute threshold;
-Event A3:Neighbour becomes amount of offset better than PCell/PSCell:
-Event A4:Neighbour becomes better than absolute threshold;
-Event A5:PCell/PSCell becomes worse than absolute threshold1 AND Neighbour/SCell becomes better than another absolute threshold2.
-Event A6:Neighbour becomes amount of offset better than SCell
-Event B1:Neighbour becomes better than absolute threshold;
-Event B2:PCell becomes worse than absolute threshold1 AND Neighbour becomes better than another absolute threshold2。
3) Measurement identification (Measurement ID): the measurement identifiers associate the measurement objects with a specific measurement reporting mode, namely, each measurement identifier corresponds to a preset measurement object and the measurement reporting mode. If the UE reaches the measurement start threshold, the UE judges whether to perform the measurement according to the existence of the measurement identifier.
4) Other parameters: including measurement gap, measurement on threshold, speed status parameters, etc.
In this embodiment, the access network device may send a configuration message in advance to the user device, where the configuration message includes a measurement reporting configuration and a conditional switching configuration, and the conditional switching configuration reuses a measurement identifier in the measurement reporting configuration, where the measurement identifier is redefined, and does not trigger measurement reporting under some preset conditions.
Optionally, the configuration message is carried in radio resource control (Radio Resource Control, RRC) signaling. The configuration message is directly carried in the RRC signaling, and the configuration message does not need to be sent independently, so that the signaling overhead can be reduced.
According to the condition switching method provided by the embodiment, the access network equipment sends the configuration information to the user equipment, the configuration information comprises measurement reporting configuration and condition switching configuration, and the measurement reporting configuration and/or the condition switching configuration comprises measurement identifiers, so that when the measurement identifiers in the measurement reporting are reused to trigger the condition switching, the corresponding measurement reporting is not triggered.
Various possible implementations of the conditional handoff method are described in detail below in terms of four scene embodiments based on the embodiments shown in fig. 2 and 3.
Embodiment one: the condition switching configuration reuses the measurement identifier definition in the measurement reporting configuration, configures attribute values for the measurement identifier, so as to define whether the measurement identifier triggers the measurement reporting or not through different attribute values, and the method can be divided into a first scheme and a second scheme.
The first mode is that the measurement report configuration comprises a measurement identifier and an attribute value of the measurement identifier, wherein the attribute value is used for indicating whether to trigger measurement report.
In this embodiment, the measurement identifier and its attribute value are defined in the measurement report configuration, and whether the measurement identifier triggers measurement report is defined by setting different attribute values. Optionally, if the attribute value is the first value, the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting; and if the attribute value is not the first value, the measurement identifier is used for triggering measurement reporting. For example, the first value is TRUE, if the measurement identifier is configured in a measurement report configuration and the attribute value is TRUE, the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement report, and if the attribute value is FALSE, the measurement identifier triggers measurement report. Or if the attribute value is the first value, the measurement identifier triggers measurement reporting; if the attribute value is not the first value, the measurement identifier is not used for triggering measurement reporting; alternatively, the first value may be other parameters such as FALSE, 0 or 1, which is not limited in this embodiment.
Further, the conditional handover configuration comprises a measurement identity for triggering the conditional handover. If the measurement identifier is configured in the measurement report configuration, whether the measurement identifier is used for triggering the condition switching can be determined according to whether the measurement identifier is included in the condition switching configuration. For example, if the measurement identifier is configured in the measurement report configuration and the condition switching configuration also includes the measurement identifier, the measurement identifier is also used to trigger the condition switching.
Optionally, the attribute value is part of a measurement identity; alternatively, the attribute value is part of a measurement reporting configuration. In this embodiment, the attribute value may be directly defined in the portion of the measurement identifier, for example, the attribute value is directly attached to the measurement identifier after the measurement identifier, or the attribute value may be defined in the measurement report configuration, for example, the attribute value is attached to the measurement report configuration after the measurement report configuration, which can be flexibly applied to various scenarios.
The second mode and the condition switching configuration comprise a measurement identifier and an attribute value of the measurement identifier; the measurement identifier is used for triggering condition switching, and the attribute value is used for indicating whether measurement reporting is triggered or not.
In this embodiment, the measurement identifier and the attribute value thereof are defined in the condition switching configuration, and the measurement identifier is used to trigger the condition switching, and when the attribute value satisfies a certain condition, the measurement report is not triggered. Optionally, if the attribute value is the second value, the measurement identifier is used for triggering measurement reporting; and if the attribute value is not the second value, the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting. For example, the second value may be TRUE, if the measurement identifier is configured in the condition switching configuration and the attribute value of the measurement identifier is TRUE, the measurement identifier triggers not only the condition switching but also the measurement reporting, and if the attribute value of the measurement identifier is FALSE, the measurement identifier is used to trigger the condition switching and not used to trigger the measurement reporting. Or if the attribute value is the second value, the measurement identifier is not used for triggering measurement report; and if the attribute value is not the second value, the measurement identifier is used for triggering measurement reporting. Alternatively, the second value may be other parameters such as FALSE, 0, or 1, which is not limited in this embodiment.
It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present application, the first value and the second value may be the same or different, which is not limited in the present application.
Optionally, the attribute value is part of a measurement identity; alternatively, the attribute value is part of a conditional switch configuration. In this embodiment, the attribute value may be defined directly in the portion of the measurement identifier, for example, the attribute value may be attached directly after the measurement identifier, or the attribute value may be defined in the condition switching configuration, for example, the attribute value may be attached after the condition switching configuration, which may be flexibly applicable to various scenarios.
The condition switching mode provided by the embodiment reuses the measurement identifier of measurement reporting configuration in condition switching configuration, sets an attribute value for the measurement identifier to define whether the measurement identifier is used for triggering measurement reporting, and the measurement identifier can be configured in the measurement reporting configuration or in the condition switching configuration, can define the triggering condition switching and the function of triggering reporting measurement of the measurement identifier through the attribute value of the measurement identifier, is flexible and simple in configuration, and can be suitable for various scenes.
Embodiment two: the conditional switching configuration reuses the measurement identifier definition in the measurement reporting configuration, and sets a specific cell set for the measurement identifier, so that the measurement identifier triggers measurement reporting or does not trigger measurement reporting for cells in the specific cell set. In this embodiment, in the prior art, the cells for measurement and reporting are indicated by the white list, so that the UE can perform measurement reporting for the cells in the white list cell list associated with the measurement identifier by using the existing white list configuration, and does not trigger measurement reporting for the cells other than the white list cell list.
The third mode, the switching condition configuration comprises a measurement identifier, and the measurement reporting configuration comprises a white list cell list; the white list cell list is empty, and the measurement identifier associated with the measurement object in the measurement report configuration is not used for triggering the measurement report.
In this embodiment, the measurement identifier is configured in the handover condition configuration, and the configuration white list cell list is allowed to be NULL, for example, the white list cell list is a NULL value, in which case the measurement identifier associated with the measurement object in the measurement report configuration cannot be used to trigger measurement report, but is used for condition handover.
The fourth mode is that the switching condition configuration comprises a measurement identifier, and the measurement reporting configuration comprises a white list cell list; the white list cell list is not empty; if the cell associated with the measurement identifier is a cell in the white list cell list, the measurement identifier is used for triggering measurement reporting; if the cell associated with the measurement identifier is not the cell in the white list cell list, the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement report.
In this embodiment, the white list cell list may include some cells, which are cells that need measurement reporting, but not target cells that need conditional handover. For the cells outside the white list cell list, the UE determines whether to need to perform the conditional switching through the measurement identifier in the conditional switching configuration, for example, if the cells outside the white list cell list are the cells associated with the measurement identifier, the UE needs to perform the conditional switching; if the cell outside the white list of cells is not the cell associated with the measurement identifier, the conditional handover is not required.
A fifth mode, the configuration of the switching condition includes a measurement identifier and an identifier of a target cell; the measurement identity triggers no measurement reporting for the target cell and triggers conditional handover for the target cell. In this embodiment, the target cell may also be set in the handover condition configuration, so that the target cell associated with the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting, and triggers condition handover.
According to the conditional switching method provided by the embodiment, the conditional switching configuration reuses the definition of the measurement identifier in the measurement reporting configuration, the specific cell set is set for the measurement identifier, so that the measurement identifier triggers measurement reporting or does not trigger measurement reporting for cells in the specific cell set, whether the measurement identifier triggers measurement reporting or not is defined by using the existing white list, the existing white list mechanism in the measurement reporting configuration is reasonably utilized, signaling overhead can be reduced, and the triggering mechanism for measurement reporting can be performed for some special cells, so that the flexibility is high.
Embodiment III: the conditional handover configuration reuses the measurement identity definition of the measurement reporting configuration, and the measurement identity or cell specified by the protocol for conditional handover cannot be used for measurement reporting.
The measurement reporting configuration comprises a measurement identifier, wherein the measurement identifier is used for triggering condition switching and is not used for triggering measurement reporting.
In this embodiment, the protocol specifies that a certain measurement identity is defined for conditional handover, that the measurement identity is not used for measurement reporting as a whole, in which way the measurement identity may be defined in a measurement reporting configuration, but the protocol specifies that the measurement identity does not need to trigger measurement reporting if the measurement identity is used for conditional handover.
Optionally, the measurement identifier is not used to trigger measurement reporting, including at least one of:
the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting for candidate cells associated with the conditional handover;
the measurement identity does not trigger measurement reporting for candidate cells not associated with the conditional handover.
In this embodiment, the condition switching may be associated with a cell, for example, a candidate cell is configured in the condition switching configuration, if the measurement object associated with the measurement identifier is a candidate cell associated with the condition switching, the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting, and if the measurement object associated with the measurement identifier is not a candidate cell associated with the condition switching, the measurement identifier triggers measurement reporting. For example, when the condition handover associates candidate cells a and B, only the condition handover is performed and no measurement report is performed when the UE evaluation trigger condition is satisfied for cell a/B; otherwise, when the UE evaluates that the trigger condition satisfies the measurement report condition for other cells than cell a/B, for example, C, measurement report may be performed.
Optionally, if the cell associated with the measurement identifier is a cell in a white list in the measurement report configuration, the measurement identifier is used for triggering measurement report; if the cell associated with the measurement identifier is not the cell in the white list in the measurement report configuration, the measurement identifier is not used for triggering the measurement report.
In this embodiment, the protocol specifies that as long as a certain measurement identity is used for a conditional handover, that measurement identity is not used for measurement reporting for the target cell for said conditional handover. In this way, it may be limited to the existing whitelist of cells, i.e. the measurement identity for the cells in the whitelist of cells may trigger the measurement report; the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting for cells not in the white list, and whether conditional handover can be triggered or not needs to be determined according to handover conditions in conditional handover configuration.
