Background
With the development of mobile communication technology, the requirements of users on communication quality are higher and higher. For example, when a user using a wireless network service moves from one cell to another cell, or due to adjustment of wireless transmission traffic load, activation of operation maintenance, equipment failure, etc., in order to ensure communication continuity and service quality, the system transfers the communication link between the user and the source cell to a new cell, i.e., performs a handover procedure.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present application more apparent, the present application is described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the present application and are not intended to limit the present application.
Fig. 1 is a schematic view of an application scenario of a conditional handover method provided in an embodiment of the present application, as shown in fig. 1, the scenario includes a user terminal, a Source cell base station (Source eNB) and a Target cell base station (Target eNB), when a user moves from one cell to another cell, or due to reasons such as adjustment of wireless transmission traffic, maintenance of activation operation, and device failure, in order to ensure continuity of communication and quality of service, a communication link between the user and the Source cell base station is transferred to the Target cell base station, that is, a handover procedure is performed.
Currently, the following conclusions are reached in the current 3GPP discussion for handover conditions: 1. for cells triggering condition switching not to trigger measurement reporting, 2, the condition triggering condition switching can be configured by using the condition triggering measurement reporting.
In view of the above conclusion 2, the Measurement identifier (Measurement ID) for Measurement reporting may be used to configure the condition for triggering the condition handover, but the conventional Measurement identifier is used to trigger the Measurement reporting, and then the condition handover method provided in the present application may solve the problem of how to configure the condition for triggering the condition handover using the condition for triggering the Measurement reporting. However, the present application is not limited to solving the technical problem of how to configure the condition for triggering the condition switching using the condition for triggering the measurement report, and may also be used to solve other technical problems.
Furthermore, how to ensure that the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement report for the cell triggering the condition handover, that is, to avoid the UE triggering the corresponding measurement report, there are three cases that need to be distinguished as follows:
1) the measurement identifier is used for triggering measurement report and is not used for triggering condition switching, namely the function of the traditional measurement identifier;
2) the measurement identifier is used for triggering condition switching and not used for triggering measurement reporting, which indicates that the measurement identifier is only used for condition switching;
3) the measurement identifier is used for triggering both measurement reporting and conditional handover, and the case where both are used may be, for example, that for a target neighbor cell, the measurement identifier is used for triggering conditional handover, and for other neighbor cells, the measurement identifier is used for triggering measurement reporting.
The following describes the condition switching method provided in the embodiment of the present application in detail for the above three cases.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart of a conditional access method according to an embodiment of the present application, where an execution subject of the method is a user terminal. As shown in fig. 2, the method includes:
s201, user equipment receives a configuration message sent by access network equipment; the configuration message comprises measurement reporting configuration and condition switching configuration; the measurement reporting configuration and/or the condition switching configuration comprises a measurement identifier, and the measurement identifier is used for indicating whether to trigger measurement reporting.
The measurement report configuration is used to configure conditions of measurement report, such as a measurement object, a measurement report trigger mode, and the like. The conditional switch configuration is used for configuring the condition of conditional switch, and the cell switch can be directly carried out when the UE condition is switched. The following describes the measurement reporting configuration in detail by taking an example of Radio Resource Management (RRM) measurement reporting configuration.
For example, the UE performs measurement according to a measurement report configuration issued by the access network device, performs measurement report evaluation when a certain trigger condition is met, and if the report condition is met, the UE fills a measurement report, and sends the measurement report to the access network device. The measurement report is divided into three categories:
1) event triggering: and the UE triggers the sending of the measurement report only when the network-configured measurement event is met and enters the threshold and lasts for a period of time, and the flow is ended after the measurement report is sent once. The reporting configuration corresponding to the criterion is as follows:
the trigger type is 'event' and comprises a measurement event and a threshold parameter thereof from A1-A6 and B1-B2;
reporting times is 1;
the reporting interval is ignored by the UE regardless of the value of the configuration.
2) And (3) reporting periodically: after the network configures measurement and reports, the UE measures corresponding frequency points according to the configuration content and sends measurement reports according to the specified reporting period and interval.
The trigger period includes report destination "reportCGI", "reportStrongestCell";
if the report destination is "reportCGI", the number of reports is equal to 1, and if the report destination is "reportStrongestCell", the number of reports may be greater than 1.
Once the UE is configured with the report cgi reporting purpose, it starts a T321 timer, and if the network can obtain the information needed to establish the neighbor cell list as soon as possible, the UE may stop T321 and initiate reporting in advance if the content needed for reporting is already obtained before the T321 timer expires.
3) Reporting an event triggering period: the UE triggers the sending of the measurement report only when the measurement triggering event meeting the network configuration enters a threshold and lasts for a period of time, and after the reporting is triggered, a timer between multiple measurements and a counter of the measurement times are started until the reporting times meet the requirement and then the process is ended. The reporting configuration corresponding to the criterion is as follows:
the trigger type is 'event', and comprises a measurement event from A1 to A5 and a threshold parameter thereof;
the reporting times are more than 1;
the reporting interval is effective, and the network sets a reporting period timer according to the configured interval parameter.
In this embodiment, the ue may receive a configuration message sent by the access network device, where the configuration message includes a measurement reporting configuration and a conditional handover configuration, and the conditional handover configuration reuses a measurement identifier in the measurement reporting configuration, and the measurement identifier is redefined, and the measurement reporting is not triggered under some preset conditions. For example, the measurement identifier may be defined in a measurement report configuration, and when the attribute value of the measurement identifier is TRUE, the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement report, and if the measurement identifier is included in a conditional handover configuration at the same time, the measurement identifier also triggers conditional handover. Or, the measurement identifier is defined in the condition switching configuration, and is used for triggering condition switching, and if the attribute value of the measurement identifier is FALSE, the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting. Or, the measurement identifier is predefined in the protocol to be used for triggering the conditional handover and is not used for triggering the measurement report, and the measurement report is not triggered no matter whether the measurement identifier is defined in the measurement report configuration or the conditional handover configuration. Alternatively, the measurement identifier may be set to trigger measurement reporting for cells in the white list cell list, and not trigger measurement reporting for cells other than the measurement identifier, and so on. Different preset conditions can be set according to actual conditions, so that the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting in some scenes.
In the conditional handover method provided in this embodiment, the ue receives a configuration message sent by the access network device, where the configuration message includes a measurement report configuration and a conditional handover configuration, and the measurement report configuration and/or the conditional handover configuration includes a measurement identifier, where the measurement identifier is used to indicate whether to trigger measurement report, so that when the condition handover is triggered by reusing the measurement identifier in the measurement report in some scenarios, the corresponding measurement report is not triggered.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart of a conditional access method according to an embodiment of the present application, where an execution subject of the method is an access network device, for example, a cell base station. As shown in fig. 3, the method includes:
s301, the access network equipment sends a configuration message to the user equipment; the configuration message comprises measurement reporting configuration and condition switching configuration; the measurement reporting configuration and/or the condition switching configuration comprises a measurement identifier, and the measurement identifier is used for indicating whether to trigger measurement reporting.
The measurement report configuration is used to configure conditions of measurement report, such as a measurement object, a measurement report trigger mode, and the like. The condition switching configuration is used for configuring conditions of condition switching, and when the conditions of UE condition switching are met, cell switching can be directly carried out. The following describes the measurement reporting configuration in detail by taking an example of Radio Resource Management (RRM) measurement reporting configuration.
In a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, access network equipment sends measurement report configuration to UE in a connected state, and the UE performs measurement (common frequency, different frequency, and different technology) according to the content of the measurement report configuration and then reports a measurement result to the access network equipment. The access network equipment uses the connection reconfiguration to carry out measurement configuration, and the measurement reporting configuration comprises the following contents:
1) measurement Object (Measurement Object): the method comprises the steps that frequency points are used as basic units, each configured measurement object is an independent frequency point and has an independent measurement object Identification (ID), and for the same-frequency and different-frequency measurement of an Evolved Universal Radio Access (E-UTRA), the measurement object is a single E-UTRA carrier frequency, and a white list cell list and a black list cell list are possibly configured on the E-UTRA.
a) For the White List Cell List, the LTE system determines whether to measure and report only cells in the White List Cell List in combination with the White List Cell List (use White Cell List) in the measurement reporting configuration.
b) The UE does not perform any operation on the blacklisted cells in the measurement evaluation and measurement report.
2) And a measurement reporting mode: the method is divided into event triggered reporting and cycle triggered reporting according to types, each mode has a separate Identifier (ID), and the event triggered reporting includes event types, threshold values and duration (Time to Trigger) meeting triggering conditions. The periodic trigger reporting includes a reporting period and a purpose of periodic triggering. The common/different frequency measurement events in the current LTE system include the following:
-Event A1:Serving becomes better than absolute threshold;
-Event A2:Serving becomes worse than absolute threshold;
-Event A3:Neighbour becomes amount of offset better than PCell/PSCell;
-Event A4:Neighbour becomes better than absolute threshold;
-Event A5:PCell/PSCell becomes worse than absolute threshold1 AND Neighbour/SCell becomes better than another absolute threshold2.
-Event A6:Neighbour becomes amount of offset better than SCell.
-Event B1:Neighbour becomes better than absolute threshold;
-Event B2:PCell becomes worse than absolute threshold1 AND Neighbour becomes better than another absolute threshold2。
3) measurement identity (Measurement ID): the measurement identifiers associate the measurement objects with a specific measurement reporting mode, that is, each measurement identifier corresponds to a predetermined measurement object and a predetermined measurement reporting mode. If the UE reaches the measurement opening threshold, the UE judges whether to carry out the measurement according to the existence of the measurement identifier.
4) Other parameters include measurement interval (measurement gap), measurement turn-on threshold, and speed status parameters.
In this embodiment, the access network device may send a configuration message to the user equipment in advance, where the configuration message includes a measurement reporting configuration and a conditional handover configuration, and the conditional handover configuration reuses a measurement identifier in the measurement reporting configuration, and the measurement identifier is redefined, and the measurement reporting is not triggered under some preset conditions.
Optionally, the configuration message is carried in Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling. The configuration message is directly carried in the RRC signaling, and the configuration message does not need to be sent independently, so that the signaling overhead can be reduced.
In the conditional handover method provided in this embodiment, the access network device sends a configuration message to the user equipment, where the configuration message includes a measurement reporting configuration and a conditional handover configuration, and the measurement reporting configuration and/or the conditional handover configuration includes a measurement identifier, where the measurement identifier is used to indicate whether to trigger measurement reporting, so that when the condition handover is triggered by reusing the measurement identifier in the triggered measurement reporting, the corresponding measurement reporting is not triggered.
On the basis of the embodiments shown in fig. 2 and fig. 3, various possible implementations of the conditional switching method are described in detail in four scene embodiments.
The first embodiment is as follows: the conditional switch configuration reuses the measurement identifier definition in the measurement report configuration, configures attribute values for the measurement identifiers, and defines whether the measurement identifiers trigger measurement report through different attribute values.
In a first mode, the measurement report configuration includes a measurement identifier and an attribute value of the measurement identifier, where the attribute value is used to indicate whether to trigger measurement report.
In this embodiment, the measurement identifier and its attribute value are defined in the measurement reporting configuration, and different attribute values are set to define whether the measurement identifier triggers measurement reporting. Optionally, if the attribute value is a first value, the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting; and if the attribute value is not the first value, the measurement identifier is used for triggering measurement report. For example, if the first value is TRUE, and the attribute value is TRUE, the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting, and if the attribute value is FALSE, the measurement identifier triggers measurement reporting. Or, if the attribute value is the first value, the measurement identifier triggers measurement reporting; if the attribute value is not the first value, the measurement identifier is not used for triggering measurement report; alternatively, the first value may be another parameter such as FALSE, 0, or 1, which is not limited in this embodiment.
Further, the conditional switch configuration includes a measurement identifier, and the measurement identifier is used for triggering the conditional switch. If the measurement identifier is configured in the measurement reporting configuration, it can also be determined whether the measurement identifier is used for triggering conditional handover according to the conditional handover configuration of whether the measurement identifier is included. For example, if the measurement identifier is configured in a measurement reporting configuration and the measurement identifier is also included in a conditional handover configuration, the measurement identifier is also used to trigger a conditional handover.
Optionally, the attribute value is part of a measurement identity; or the attribute value is a part of the measurement report configuration. In this embodiment, the attribute value may be directly defined in the measurement identifier, for example, the attribute value is directly attached after the measurement identifier, or the attribute value may also be defined in the measurement reporting configuration, for example, the attribute value is attached after the measurement reporting configuration, and the method may be flexibly applicable to various scenarios.
The second mode is that the condition switching configuration comprises a measurement identifier and an attribute value of the measurement identifier; the measurement identifier is used for triggering condition switching, and the attribute value is used for indicating whether to trigger measurement reporting.
In this embodiment, the measurement identifier and the attribute value thereof are defined in the condition switching configuration, and the measurement identifier is used to trigger condition switching, so that the measurement report is not triggered when the attribute value meets a certain condition. Optionally, if the attribute value is a second value, the measurement identifier is used to trigger measurement reporting; and if the attribute value is not the second value, the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement report. For example, the second value may be TRUE, if the measurement identifier is configured in a conditional handover configuration and the attribute value of the measurement identifier is TRUE, the measurement identifier not only triggers conditional handover but also triggers measurement reporting, and if the attribute value of the measurement identifier is FALSE, the measurement identifier is used for triggering conditional handover and is not used for triggering measurement reporting. Or, if the attribute value is a second value, the measurement identifier is not used for triggering measurement report; and if the attribute value is not the second value, the measurement identifier is used for triggering measurement report. Alternatively, the second value may also be FALSE, 0, or 1, and other parameters, which are not limited in this embodiment.
It should be noted that the first value and the second value in the embodiment of the present application may be the same or different, and are not limited in the present application.
Optionally, the attribute value is part of a measurement identity; alternatively, the attribute value is part of the conditional switch configuration. In this embodiment, the attribute value may be directly defined in the measurement identifier, for example, the attribute value is directly attached after the measurement identifier, or the attribute value may also be defined in the conditional switching configuration, for example, the attribute value is attached after the conditional switching configuration, and the method may be flexibly applied to various scenarios.
In the condition switching manner provided by this embodiment, the condition switching configuration reuses the measurement identifier of the measurement report configuration, and sets an attribute value for the measurement identifier to define whether the measurement identifier is used to trigger measurement report, where the measurement identifier may be configured in the measurement report configuration or in the condition switching configuration, and the functions of triggering condition switching and reporting measurement of the measurement identifier may be defined by the attribute value, and the configuration is flexible and simple, and may be applicable to various scenarios.
Example two: the conditional switch configuration reuses the measurement identifier definition in the measurement report configuration, and sets a specific cell set aiming at the measurement identifier, so that the measurement identifier triggers measurement report or does not trigger measurement report aiming at the cells in the specific cell set. In this embodiment, in the prior art, the white list is used to indicate the cells for measurement and reporting, so that the UE can perform measurement reporting on the cells in the white list cell list associated with the measurement identifier by using the existing white list configuration, and the measurement reporting is not triggered for the cells outside the white list cell list.
The mode III is that the switching condition configuration comprises a measurement identifier, and the measurement reporting configuration comprises a white list cell list; the white list cell list is empty and the measurement identifier associated with the measurement object in the measurement reporting configuration is not used to trigger measurement reporting.
In this embodiment, the measurement identifier is configured in the handover condition configuration, and it is allowed to configure the white list cell list as NULL, for example, the white list cell list is a NULL value, in this case, the measurement identifier associated with the measurement object in the measurement report configuration cannot be used to trigger measurement report, but is used for conditional handover.
The mode IV, the switching condition configuration comprises a measurement identifier, and the measurement reporting configuration comprises a white list cell list; the white list cell list is not empty; if the cell associated with the measurement identifier is a cell in a white list cell list, the measurement identifier is used for triggering measurement report; and if the cell associated with the measurement identifier is not the cell in the white list cell list, the measurement identifier does not trigger the measurement report.
In this embodiment, the white list cell list may include some cells, which are cells that need to be measured and reported, and are not target cells that need to be subjected to conditional handover. For cells outside the white list cell list, the UE determines whether conditional handover is required through the measurement identifier in the conditional handover configuration, for example, if the cells outside the white list cell list are cells associated with the measurement identifier, the conditional handover is required; if the cells outside the white list cell list are not the cells associated with the measurement identifier, the conditional switch is not needed.
The mode five, the switching condition configuration comprises a measurement identifier and an identifier of a target cell; the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting for the target cell and triggers condition switching for the target cell. In this embodiment, a target cell may also be set in the handover condition configuration, so that the target cell associated with the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting, and triggers condition handover.
In the conditional handover method provided in this embodiment, the conditional handover configuration reuses the measurement identifier definition in the measurement reporting configuration, and sets the specific cell set for the measurement identifier, so that the measurement identifier triggers measurement reporting or does not trigger measurement reporting for the cell in the specific cell set, and whether the measurement identifier triggers measurement reporting is defined by using the existing white list, so that the existing white list mechanism in the measurement reporting configuration is reasonably used, which can reduce signaling overhead, and can also trigger measurement reporting for some special cells, and thus the flexibility is strong.
Example three: the conditional switch configuration reuses the measurement identifier definition of the measurement report configuration, and the measurement identifier or cell for conditional switch is stipulated by a protocol and cannot be used for measurement report.
And in a sixth mode, the measurement reporting configuration comprises a measurement identifier, and the measurement identifier is used for triggering condition switching and is not used for triggering measurement reporting.
In this embodiment, the protocol specifies that a certain measurement identifier is defined for conditional handover, and that this measurement identifier is not used for measurement reporting as a whole, in this way, the measurement identifier may be defined as being included in the measurement reporting configuration, but the protocol specifies that, if the measurement identifier is used for conditional handover, the measurement identifier does not need to trigger measurement reporting.
Optionally, the measurement identifier is not used for triggering measurement reporting, and includes at least one of:
the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement report aiming at the candidate cell associated with the condition switching;
the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting for candidate cells not associated with conditional handover.
In this embodiment, the conditional handover may be associated with a cell, for example, a candidate cell is configured in the conditional handover configuration, if the measurement object associated with the measurement identifier is a candidate cell associated with the conditional handover, the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement report, and if the measurement object associated with the measurement identifier is not a candidate cell associated with the conditional handover, the measurement identifier triggers measurement report. For example, when the condition switch is associated with candidate cells a and B, when the UE evaluates that the trigger condition is satisfied for cell a/B, only the condition switch is performed without performing measurement reporting; otherwise, when the UE evaluation trigger condition satisfies the measurement reporting condition for other cells, for example, C, other than the cell a/B, the measurement reporting may be performed.
Optionally, if the cell associated with the measurement identifier is a cell in a white list in the measurement reporting configuration, the measurement identifier is used to trigger measurement reporting; and if the cell associated with the measurement identifier is not the cell in the white list in the measurement reporting configuration, the measurement identifier is not used for triggering measurement reporting.
In this embodiment, the protocol specifies that as long as a certain measurement identifier is used for conditional handover, the measurement identifier is not used for measurement reporting for a target cell used for the conditional handover. In this way, the measurement report may be limited to the existing white list cell list, that is, the measurement identifier may trigger the measurement report for the cell in the white list cell list; the measurement identifier does not trigger measurement reporting for cells not in the white list, and whether conditional handover can be triggered or not needs to be determined according to handover conditions in the conditional handover configuration.
