Detailed Description
The network architecture and the service scenario described in the embodiments of the present application are for more clearly describing the technical solution of the embodiments of the present application, and do not constitute a limitation on the technical solution provided in the embodiments of the present application, and those skilled in the art can know that, with the evolution of the network architecture and the appearance of the new service scenario, the technical solution provided in the embodiments of the present application is also applicable to similar technical problems.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a network architecture, which is applicable to an embodiment of the present application, and includes a terminal device and a network device. The terminal device communicates with the network device via a wireless interface.
Terminal equipment (terminal device) is equipment with wireless receiving and transmitting function, which can be deployed on land, including indoor or outdoor, hand-held or vehicle-mounted; can also be deployed on the water surface (such as ships, etc.); but may also be deployed in the air (e.g., on aircraft, balloon, satellite, etc.). The terminal device may be a mobile phone (mobile phone), a tablet computer (pad), a computer with a wireless transceiving function, a Virtual Reality (VR) terminal, an augmented reality (augmented reality, AR) terminal, a wireless terminal in an industrial control (industrial control), a wireless terminal in a self driving (self driving), a wireless terminal in a remote medical (remote medium), a wireless terminal in a smart grid (smart grid), a wireless terminal in a transportation security (transportation safety), a wireless terminal in a smart city (smart city), a wireless terminal in a smart home (smart home), a User Equipment (UE), or the like.
A network device, which is a device that provides a wireless communication function for a terminal device, includes, but is not limited to: next generation base stations (g nodeB, gNB), evolved node B (eNB), radio network controllers (radio network controller, RNC), node B (NB), base station controllers (base station controller, BSC), base transceiver stations (base transceiver station, BTS), home base stations (e.g., home evolved nodeB, or home node B, HNB), baseBand units (BBU), transmission points (transmitting and receiving point, TRP), transmission points (transmitting point, TP), mobile switching centers, and the like in the fifth generation (5th generation,5G).
When the 5G is deployed independently, a logical architecture of the network device may employ a Centralized Unit (CU) and a Distributed Unit (DU) split mode. Based on the configuration of the protocol stack functions, the CU-DU logic system can be divided into two types, namely a CU-DU separation architecture and a CU-DU fusion architecture. For CU-DU split architecture, the functions of the protocol stack may be dynamically configured and partitioned, with some functions implemented in the CU and the remaining functions implemented in the DU. To meet the needs of different segmentation options, it is necessary to support both ideal and non-ideal transport networks. The interface between CU and DU should follow the third generation partnership project (3rd generation partnership project,3GPP) specification requirements. For CU-DU fusion architecture, the logical functions of CU and DU are integrated in the same network device to realize all the functions of protocol stack.
After the terminal device accesses a certain network, the wireless access capability of the terminal device needs to be reported to the network device and the core network. The terminal device capability may report the radio access capability of the terminal device through a capability message (e.g., ue capability information), where the capability message may include the capability of the terminal device under one or more radio access technologies (Radio Access Technology, RAT). Among other wireless access technologies, but not limited to: new Radio (NR) technology, evolved universal mobile telecommunications system terrestrial radio access (E-UTRA) technology, E-UTRA-NR technology, NR-E-UTRA technology, universal mobile telecommunications system terrestrial radio access (UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access, UTRA) technology.
Fig. 2 is a flow chart of a method for reporting wireless access capability in the prior art. The method comprises the following steps:
in step 201, the network device sends a capability request message to the terminal device. Accordingly, the terminal device may receive the capability request message.
The capability request message is used to request the wireless access capability of the terminal device in a certain wireless access technology or technologies, for example: one or more RATs in E-UTRA technology, NR technology, E-UTRA-NR technology. The capability request message may be a uecapabilityrequirement message.
As an example, the network device is an NR base station (i.e. a gNB), the capability request message will be used to request the wireless access capability of the terminal device in the NR technology. Further, the terminal device may also be requested for wireless access capability in the E-UTRA technology, E-UTRA-NR technology, and the like.
In general, the capability request message may also carry filtering information (filter), where the filtering information is used to filter the radio access capability of the terminal device. Or it is understood that the terminal device only needs to report to the network device those radio access capabilities of the radio access capabilities supported by the terminal device that match the filtering information. The filtering information may include, but is not limited to, one or more of the following: E-UTRA or NR band (band) information, E-UTRA downlink carrier aggregation bandwidth classification (ca-Bandwidth ClassDL), E-UTRA uplink carrier aggregation bandwidth classification (ca-Bandwidth ClassUL), NR downlink maximum aggregation bandwidth, NR uplink maximum aggregation bandwidth, NR downlink maximum carrier number/serving cell number, NR uplink maximum carrier number/serving cell number.
Generally, the filtering information specifically indicates which capability parameters are capability parameters that are actually required by the network device, for example, the network device may request the terminal device for capability parameters that are actually required by the network device, and filter out some capability parameters that are not required by the network device, in consideration of the deployment of the network device, for example, in consideration of the frequency bands supported by the network device. By sending the filtering information, unnecessary capability information of some network devices can be filtered, and the size of the capability message reported by the terminal device is reduced, so that signaling overhead is reduced.
Step 202, the terminal device sends a capability message to the network device. Accordingly, the network device may receive the capability message.
The capability message is used to send the radio access capability of the terminal device requested by the network device. The capability message may be a UECapability message.
Specifically, if the capability request message does not carry the filtering parameter, the terminal device sends all wireless access capabilities of the terminal device under all supported wireless access technologies to the network device.
If the capability request message carries the filtering parameter, the terminal device screens out part of wireless access capability from the wireless access capability supported by the terminal device based on the filtering parameter and sends the part of wireless access capability to the network device.
Take the band information in the filter information as an example.
Example one: in the single-link scenario, a primary serving cell configured by a network device for a terminal device (i.e., a primary cell that provides services for the terminal device) operates in band1, where a carrier on which the primary cell operates is called a primary carrier. In order to increase the transmission bandwidth and the uplink and downlink transmission rate, the network device may further configure one or more auxiliary carriers for the terminal device, thereby forming carrier aggregation. The cell corresponding to the secondary carrier is called a secondary cell, for example, the secondary cell may operate in band2 or band3. For example, when the network device currently works in NR technology, the capability request message sent by the network device is used to request the wireless access capability of the terminal device in NR technology, and the capability request message carries filtering information, where the filtering information includes band1 information, band2 information, and band3 information, then the wireless access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device at least includes:
1) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to band1 under NR technology;
2) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to band2 under NR technology;
3) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to band3 under NR technology;
4) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band 2) under the NR technology;
5) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 2, band 3) under the NR technology;
6) Wireless access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band 1, band2, band 3) under NR technology.
The radio access capability of 1), 2) and 3) above may also be referred to as single band or single carrier radio access capability. The radio access capabilities of 4), 5) and 6) above may also be referred to as band combining or as radio access capabilities under carrier aggregation.
It should be noted that, the above example is that the terminal device also supports the band1, the band2, and the band3 at the same time, so that the wireless access capabilities corresponding to the band1, the band2, and the band3 are reported. If the terminal equipment only supports part of the bands of band1, band2 and band3, the terminal equipment only reports the wireless access capability corresponding to the supported part of bands. Considering that the terminal device may be handed over, i.e. handed over from the original base station to the new base station, the terminal device may report not only the radio access capability under the single frequency band (or referred to as single carrier) corresponding to the primary serving cell, i.e. not only the radio access capability under one supported single frequency band (or referred to as single carrier), but also the radio access capability under the single frequency band (or single carrier) corresponding to other cells, so that the new base station can reconfigure the terminal device with reference to the radio access capability under the single frequency band (or referred to as single carrier) of the terminal device.
Example two: in the dual link scenario, a primary service cell configured by a primary network device for a terminal device (i.e., a primary cell that provides services for the terminal device) operates in band1, where a carrier that the primary cell operates on is called a primary carrier. In order to increase the transmission bandwidth and the uplink and downlink transmission rate, the main network device may also configure one or more auxiliary carriers for the terminal device, thereby forming carrier aggregation. The cell corresponding to the secondary carrier is called a secondary cell, for example, the secondary cell may operate in band2. Further, the primary network device may also add other network devices as secondary network devices, which may operate in either band3 or band4. For example, a Primary serving Cell configured by a Primary network device for a terminal device (i.e., a Primary Cell under a secondary network device that serves the terminal device, where the Primary serving Cell is also called a Primary secondary Cell (Primary Secondary Cell Group Cell, primary SCG Cell)) operates in band3, and a frequency band that may be used by other cells of the secondary network device is band4. For example, when the main network device currently works in NR technology, the capability request message sent by the main network device is used to request the wireless access capability of the terminal device in NR technology and NR-E-UTRA technology, and the capability request message carries filtering information, where the filtering information includes information of band1, information of band2, information of band3 and information of band4, then the wireless access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device at least includes:
1) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to band1 under NR technology;
2) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to band2 under NR technology;
3) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band 2) under the NR technology;
4) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band 3) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
5) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band 4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
6) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 2, band 3) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
7) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 2, band 4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
8) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band3, band 4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
9) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 2, band3, band 4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
10 Radio access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band2, band 3) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
11 Radio access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band2, band 4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
12 Radio access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band2, band3, band 4) under NR-E-UTRA technology.
It should be noted that, the above example is that the terminal device also supports the band1, the band2, the band3, and the band4, so that the wireless access capabilities corresponding to the band1, the band2, the band3, and the band4 are reported. If the terminal equipment only supports part of the bands of band1, band2, band3 and band4, only reporting the wireless access capability corresponding to the supported part of bands. Wherein, band1 and band2 are NR band, and band3 and band4 are E-UTRA band.
As can be seen from the above examples, the terminal device may report the radio access capability corresponding to all the frequency bands supported by the network device, or report the radio access capability corresponding to all the frequency bands supported by the primary network device and the radio access capability corresponding to all the frequency bands supported by the secondary network device.
According to the prior art scheme, the filtering information is added to the capability request message, so that the terminal equipment can filter out some capability information which is not needed under the network equipment, the size of the capability message reported by the terminal equipment can be reduced, and signaling overhead is reduced.
However, since the content of the wireless access capability of the terminal device is more, even if filtering information is added in the capability request message, the size of the capability message reported by the terminal device is reduced, the capability message is still larger, and the signaling overhead is still larger.
In order to further reduce signaling overhead, the embodiment of the application proposes to further reduce the reported wireless access capability, or understand that the terminal device further tailors the reported wireless access capability. Specifically, in the embodiment of the present application, the terminal device only reports the radio access capability that the network device can use currently, but for the radio access capability that the network device can not use currently, for example, the terminal device may temporarily not report the radio access capability that the main serving cell of the terminal device works in band1, so that the network device can use the radio access capability related to band1 currently, but temporarily not use the radio access capability corresponding to other band combinations unrelated to band1, and then the terminal device may only report the radio access capability related to band1, but temporarily not report the radio access capability corresponding to other band combinations unrelated to band 1. The signaling overhead of the terminal equipment when reporting the wireless access capability can be further reduced. Optionally, if the subsequent network device needs to use the wireless access capability not reported by the terminal device, the terminal device may report the wireless access capability again based on the request of the network device.
In the prior art, a terminal device reports wireless access capability based on a request of a network device, where the reported wireless access capability includes wireless access capability that the network device currently uses and wireless access capability that the network device does not currently use. In the embodiment of the application, the wireless access capability that the network device cannot use currently is not reported temporarily, but only the wireless access capability that the network device can use currently is reported. Compared with the prior art, the method and the device can further reduce signaling overhead.
The following description is given in two different cases.
In the first case, the capability request message sent by the network device to the terminal device does not include filtering information.
The above-described case is applicable to a single-link scenario or a double-link scenario. In the dual link scenario, the following network device refers to the primary network device.
The terminal device receives a capability request message sent by the network device, where the capability request message is used to request a first radio access capability of the terminal device under at least one radio access technology, where the at least one radio access technology includes at least a first radio access technology, and the first radio access technology is a radio access technology that works for the network device.
The terminal device determines a radio access capability (referred to herein as a second radio access capability) associated with the first cell under the first radio access technology. For example, the band information may be used as a filtering condition, and if the first cell operates in the first band, the terminal device may determine a radio access capability (i.e., a second radio access capability) related to the first band under the first radio access technology. For another example, carrier information may be used as a screening condition, and if the first cell operates on the first carrier, the terminal device may determine radio access capability (i.e., second radio access capability) related to the first carrier under the first radio access technology. For another example, the band information and the carrier information may be used as the screening conditions at the same time, and if the first cell operates in the first frequency band and operates in the first carrier, the terminal device may determine the radio access capability (i.e. the second radio access capability) related to the first carrier and the first frequency band under the first radio access technology.
The terminal device then reports the second radio access capability to the network device.
Optionally, the reported capability message may further include a single frequency band and/or a wireless access capability corresponding to the single carrier (referred to as a fourth wireless access capability in this embodiment of the present application), where the single frequency band does not include the first frequency band, or is understood that the single frequency band herein refers to a frequency band other than a frequency band that is supported by the network device and is operated by the primary serving cell, and the single carrier herein does not include the first carrier, or is understood that the single carrier herein refers to a carrier other than a carrier that is supported by the network device and is operated by the primary serving cell.
Optionally, if the at least one radio access technology further includes a second radio access technology, that is, the capability request message includes the requested first radio access capability further includes the radio access capability of the terminal device in the second radio access technology (referred to as a fifth radio access capability in the embodiment of the present application), the capability message reported by the terminal device further includes the fifth radio access capability. It should be noted that, the fifth wireless access capability may be an unclamped wireless access capability, or may also be a trimmed wireless access capability, where the trimming method is similar to the trimming method under the first wireless access technology described above, and will not be repeated.
It can be seen that, in the prior art, the radio access capability reported by the terminal device is all the radio access capabilities of the terminal device under the first radio access technology, that is, the radio access capability corresponding to the request of the network device. In the method of the embodiment of the present application, the wireless access capability (i.e., the second wireless access capability) reported by the terminal device is less than all the wireless access capabilities (i.e., the first wireless access capability) of the terminal device in the first wireless access technology, so that the reported wireless access capability is further reduced, and the signaling overhead can be reduced.
For example, the first radio access capability reported by the network device requesting the terminal device includes a radio access capability corresponding to band1, a radio access capability corresponding to band2, and a radio access capability corresponding to (band 1, band 2) under the NR technology, and the network device currently works under the NR technology. According to the prior art, the terminal device reports the wireless access capability corresponding to band1, the wireless access capability corresponding to band2 and the wireless access capability corresponding to (band 1, band 2) under the NR technology to the network device. In the embodiment of the application, the terminal device only reports part of the wireless access capability in the wireless access capability requested by the network device to the network device. For example, the second radio access capability reported by the terminal device includes a radio access capability related to band1 in the NR technology, that is, a radio access capability corresponding to band1 in the NR technology and a radio access capability corresponding to (band 1, band 2). The wireless access capability corresponding to band2 in the NR technology is referred to as a fourth wireless access capability, and the fourth wireless access capability may not be reported to the network device temporarily, or may be reported to the network device together with the second wireless access capability. For example, in this example, if the fourth wireless access capability is reported to the network device together with the second wireless access capability, the wireless access capability reported in the prior art is the same, and the effect of clipping the reported wireless access capability is not achieved, so that in this example, the fourth wireless access capability may not be reported. Further, if the network device further requests to report the wireless access capability (called a fifth wireless access capability) corresponding to band3 in the E-UTRA technology to the terminal device, the terminal device may further report the fifth wireless access capability to the network device.
In the second case, the capability request message sent by the network device to the terminal device includes filtering information.
The terminal device determines, according to the capability request message and the filtering information, a radio access capability (referred to as a third radio access capability in the embodiment of the present application) corresponding to the filtering information in the first radio access technology. That is, all wireless access capabilities supported by the terminal device are screened according to the filtering information.
And then, the terminal equipment screens the third wireless access capability according to the first cell. Specifically, the terminal device determines a radio access capability (referred to as a second radio access capability in the embodiments of the present application) related to the first cell among the third radio access capabilities. For example, the band information may be used as a filtering condition, and if the first cell operates in the first band, the terminal device may determine a radio access capability (i.e., a second radio access capability) related to the first band in the third radio access capability. For another example, the carrier information may be used as a screening condition, and if the first cell operates on the first carrier, the terminal device may determine a radio access capability (i.e., the second radio access capability) related to the first carrier in the third radio access capability. For another example, the band information and the carrier information may be used as the screening conditions at the same time, and if the first cell operates in the first frequency band and operates in the first carrier, the terminal device may determine a radio access capability (i.e., the second radio access capability) related to the first carrier and the first frequency band in the third radio access capability.
As an implementation method, in a single link scenario, the first cell in the first or second scenario may be a primary serving cell configured by the network device for the terminal device, that is, the terminal device reports a radio access capability related to the primary serving cell. Since the terminal device initially accesses to a cell, the cell is the primary serving cell of the terminal device, and other cells under the network device are secondary cells of the terminal device. The network device may request from the terminal device to acquire wireless access capabilities of the terminal device under the first wireless access technology. According to the prior art solution, the terminal device reports all radio access capabilities of the terminal device under the first radio access technology to the network device, and the reported radio access capabilities are related to the primary serving cell and the secondary cell. However, the network device will only use the radio access capability related to the primary serving cell of the terminal device in the first radio access technology, and will not use the radio access capability related to the secondary cell of the terminal device in the first radio access technology, so in the embodiment of the present application, the terminal device may first report the radio access capability related to the primary serving cell of the terminal device in the first radio access technology, but not report the radio access capability related to the secondary cell only temporarily. Optionally, the first cell includes a primary serving cell and a part of secondary cells configured by the network device for the terminal device, that is, in this embodiment, the terminal device may report, at present, the wireless access capability of the terminal device related to the primary serving cell under the first wireless access technology, and report, under the first wireless access technology, the wireless access capability related to the part of secondary cells, instead of reporting, under the first wireless access technology, the wireless access capability related to all the secondary cells. By the scheme, the wireless access capability reported by the middle equipment can be reduced, and signaling overhead is further saved. And the reported wireless access capability at least comprises the wireless access capability which is currently used by the network equipment, so that the normal communication between the network equipment and the terminal equipment is not influenced.
As an implementation method, in the dual link scenario, the first cell in the first or second scenario may be a primary serving cell configured by the primary network device for the terminal device, that is, the terminal device reports a radio access capability related to the primary serving cell. Or the first cell is a primary and secondary cell configured by the primary network device for the terminal device, that is, the terminal device reports the wireless access capability related to the primary and secondary cells. Or the first cell comprises a main service cell and a main secondary cell, namely, the terminal equipment reports the wireless access capability related to the main service cell and the main secondary cell. When the terminal equipment is initially accessed to one cell of the main network equipment, the cell is used as a main service cell of the terminal equipment, and other cells under the network equipment are used as auxiliary cells of the terminal equipment. And one cell under the auxiliary network equipment of the terminal equipment is used as a main and auxiliary service cell of the terminal equipment, and the other cells under the auxiliary network equipment are used as auxiliary cells of the terminal equipment. The master network device may request from the terminal device to acquire wireless access capabilities of the terminal device under the first wireless access technology. According to the prior art, the terminal device reports all radio access capabilities of the terminal device under the first radio access technology to the main network device, and the reported radio access capabilities are related to the main serving cell or the main and auxiliary serving cells and the auxiliary cells. However, the network device will only use the radio access capability related to the primary serving cell or the primary and secondary serving cells of the terminal device in the first radio access technology, and will not use the radio access capability related to the secondary cells of the terminal device in the first radio access technology, so in the embodiment of the present application, the terminal device may report the radio access capability related to the primary serving cell or the primary and secondary serving cells of the terminal device in the first radio access technology first, and not report the radio access capability related to the secondary cells only temporarily. Optionally, the first cell may further include a part of secondary cells, that is, in this embodiment, the terminal device may report, at first, the radio access capability of the terminal device related to the primary serving cell and/or the primary secondary serving cell under the first radio access technology, and report, instead of reporting, the radio access capability related to all secondary cells under the first radio access technology, the radio access capability related to the part of secondary cells under the first radio access technology.
The following describes the modified solution of the embodiment of the present application, taking the above example one (single link scenario) as an example.
In example one above, according to the prior art, 1) to 6) above will be described). In this embodiment of the present application, taking an example that a terminal device must report a radio access capability related to a primary serving cell (i.e., the first cell refers to the primary serving cell), the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to a network device in this embodiment of the present application includes a second radio access capability, which specifically includes:
1) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to band1 under NR technology;
2) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band 2) under the NR technology;
3) Wireless access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band 1, band2, band 3) under NR technology.
It can be seen that in the prior art, the network device requests reporting of the first radio access capability (i.e. 1) to 6) in the above example one) to the terminal device, and the terminal device reports the first radio access capability to the network device. In the embodiment of the present application, the second wireless access capability (i.e. 1 to 3) reported by the terminal device to the network device is less than the first wireless access capability reported by the terminal device in the prior art. Wherein the second radio access capability is a radio access capability currently used by the network device. Therefore, in the embodiment of the application, the signaling overhead of the terminal equipment can be saved.
Optionally, the wireless access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device further includes a fourth wireless access capability (i.e. a wireless access capability corresponding to a single band except for the band1 used by the primary serving cell), which specifically includes:
4) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to band2 under NR technology;
5) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to band3 under NR technology.
Optionally, the wireless access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device further includes:
6) Wireless access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band 2, band 3) under NR technology.
It should be noted that 1) to 3) above are necessarily reported, while 4) to 6) are optionally reported, and 1) to 6) are not reported at the same time). I.e. the reported radio access capability is less than the radio access capability requested by the network device.
Further, if the capability request message sent by the network device is used to request the radio access capability of the terminal device in the E-UTRA technology, the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device may further include the radio access capability of the terminal device in the E-UTRA technology (i.e. the fifth radio access capability).
It can be seen that the radio access capability that must be reported in the embodiment of the present application is only the radio access capability that the network device will use currently, so compared with the prior art, this example further reduces the reported radio access capability, so that the signaling overhead can be reduced.
It should be noted that, the above example is that the terminal device also supports the bands 1, 2 and3 at the same time, so that the radio access capabilities corresponding to the bands 1, 2 and3 are reported, and if the terminal device supports only a part of the bands 1, 2 and3, only the radio access capabilities corresponding to the supported part of the bands are reported.
The following describes the improved scheme of the embodiment of the present application, taking the example two (double-link scenario) as an example.
In example two above, according to the prior art, 1) to 12) above will be described). In this embodiment of the present application, taking an example that a terminal device must report a radio access capability related to a primary serving cell (i.e., the first cell refers to a primary serving cell configured by a primary network device for the terminal device), the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the primary network device in this embodiment of the present application includes a second radio access capability, and specifically includes:
1) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to band1 under NR technology;
2) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band 2) under the NR technology;
3) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band 3) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
4) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band 4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
5) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band3, band 4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
6) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band2, band 3) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
7) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 1, band2, band 4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
8) Wireless access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band 1, band2, band3, band 4) under NR-E-UTRA technology.
It can be seen that in the prior art, the master network device requests reporting of the first radio access capability (i.e. 1) to 12 in example two above) to the terminal device), and the terminal device reports the first radio access capability to the master network device. In the embodiment of the present application, the second radio access capability (i.e. 1 to 8) reported by the terminal device to the main network device is less than the first radio access capability reported by the terminal device in the prior art. The second radio access capability is a radio access capability that the main network device will use currently. Therefore, in the embodiment of the application, the signaling overhead of the terminal equipment can be saved.
Optionally, the wireless access capability reported by the terminal device to the main network device further includes a fourth wireless access capability (i.e. a wireless access capability corresponding to a single band except for the band1 used by the main serving cell), which specifically includes:
9) Wireless access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to band2 under NR technology.
Optionally, the wireless access capability reported by the terminal device to the main network device further includes:
10 Radio access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band 2, band 3) under NR technology.
11 Radio access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band 2, band 4) under NR technology.
12 Radio access capability of the terminal equipment corresponding to the combination (band 2, band3, band 4) under NR-E-UTRA technology.
It should be noted that in this example, 1) to 8) above are necessarily reported, while 9) to 12) are optionally reported, and 1) to 12) are not reported at the same time). I.e. the reported radio access capability is less than the radio access capability requested by the primary network device.
Further, if the capability request message sent by the network device is used to request the radio access capability of the terminal device in the E-UTRA technology, the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the main network device may further include the radio access capability of the terminal device in the E-UTRA technology (i.e. the fifth radio access capability).
It can be seen that the radio access capability that has to be reported in the embodiment of the present application is only the radio access capability that the primary network device will use currently, so this example further reduces the reported radio access capability compared to the prior art, and thus may reduce signaling overhead. It should be noted that, the above example is that the terminal device also supports the bands 1, 2, 3 and4, so that the radio access capabilities corresponding to the bands 1, 2, 3 and4 are reported, and if the terminal device supports only a part of the bands 1, 2, 3 and4, only the radio access capabilities corresponding to the supported part of the bands are reported. Wherein, band1 and band2 are NR band, and band3 and band4 are E-UTRA band.
Further, in any of the above implementation methods, the terminal device carries the second radio access capability in the capability message. Optionally, the capability message further carries indication information (may be referred to as first indication information), where the indication information is used to indicate that the second radio access capability is part of the radio access capability of the first radio access capability.
For example, when the capability request message sent by the network device is the same as the capability request message in the prior art, the operation of reporting and clipping the wireless access capability is triggered and executed by the terminal device, and the capability message needs to carry the indication information to inform the network device: the second wireless access capability currently reported is not identical to the first wireless access capability requested by the network device, and specifically, the second wireless access capability currently reported is used for indicating that the second wireless access capability currently reported is part of the wireless access capability of the first wireless access capability requested by the network device. Optionally, the capability message may also carry band information and/or carrier information when clipping the wireless access capability.
For another example, when the network device determines that the terminal device needs to further clip the wireless access capability according to the operating frequency band and/or the carrier, the network device may additionally add an indication information (may be referred to as second indication information) in the capability request message, where the indication information is used to indicate the terminal device to further clip the wireless access capability according to the operating frequency band and/or the carrier.
Further, in the embodiment of the present application, in the foregoing optional implementation method, the capability message reported by the terminal device may include a first capability container, configured to carry the second wireless access capability. If the terminal device further reports the first indication information, the first indication information may be carried in the first capability container or may be carried outside the first capability container.
Taking the case that the capability request message is used for requesting the wireless access capability of the terminal device under the first wireless access technology and the second wireless access technology, when the terminal device sends the capability message to the network device, the terminal device carries a first capability container and a second capability container in the capability message, wherein the first capability container is used for carrying the second wireless access capability, and the second capability container is used for carrying the wireless access capability (i.e., the fifth wireless access capability) of the terminal device under the second wireless access technology. Optionally, the first capability container may further carry the fourth wireless access capability described above.
Optionally, if the terminal device further carries the first indication information, the first indication information may not be placed in any capability container, or may also be placed in the first capability container. When the first indication information is placed in the first capability container, the first indication information may be specifically used to indicate that the second wireless access capability carried in the first capability container is a part of the wireless access capability of the first wireless access capability and is a wireless access capability under the first wireless access technology. That is, when the first indication information is put into the first capability container, the terminal device may additionally inform the network device of the first indication information: currently, the radio access capability under the first radio access technology is tailored.
In a specific implementation, as an implementation method, the function of the first indication information is implemented by using 1-bit information, when the 1-bit information is "0", it indicates that the radio access capability reported by the terminal device is a part of the radio access capability of the first radio access capability requested by the network device, and when the 1-bit information is "1", it indicates that the radio access capability reported by the terminal device is the first radio access capability requested by the network device. Or when the 1-bit information is "1", it indicates that the radio access capability reported by the terminal device is a part of the radio access capability of the first radio access capability requested by the network device, and when the 1-bit information is "0", it indicates that the radio access capability reported by the terminal device is the first radio access capability requested by the network device.
As an implementation method, the function of the first indication information may be implemented by whether to send the first indication information. For example, when the capability message sent by the terminal device carries the first indication information, the wireless access capability reported by the terminal device is a part of the wireless access capability of the first wireless access capability requested by the network device. And when the capability information sent by the terminal equipment does not carry the first indication information, the wireless access capability reported by the terminal equipment is the first wireless access capability requested by the network equipment.
Optionally, if the capability message further includes band information and/or carrier information, the band information is used for indicating the first band corresponding to the first cell, the carrier information is used for indicating the first carrier corresponding to the first cell, and the carrying manner of the band information and/or the carrier information is similar to the first indication information. The band information and/or carrier information may not be placed in any capability container or may be placed in the first capability container described above.
The following description is made in connection with a specific example. For example, the capability message is UE capability information-IEs, the capability Container is UE-capability rat-Container, and the first indication information is partialscapatinityind.
The first implementation method (the first indication information is not put into any capacity container) is as follows:
wherein the UE-CapabilityRAT-Container list comprises at least one UE-CapabilityRAT-Container. For example, the UE-capability rat-controller list includes two UE-capability rats-controllers for recording a second radio access capability under the reported first radio access and a fifth radio access capability under the second radio access, respectively.
Therefore, the UE capability information-IEs include first indication information and one or more UE-capability rat-containers, where the first indication information is not placed in any UE-capability rat-Container, or it is understood that the first indication information is carried in the UE-capability information-IEs in parallel with the UE-capability rat-containers.
In this example, if the first indication information field appears in a certain UE-capability rat-content and the field is set to an enumeration type supported, it indicates that the radio access capability carried by the UE-capability rat-content is a part of radio access capabilities corresponding to the first radio access technology requested by the network device. Otherwise, if the first indication information field does not appear in the UE-capability rat-Container, it indicates that the radio access capability carried by the UE-capability rat-Container is the radio access capability corresponding to the first radio access technology requested by the network device. The UE-capability rat-content is for reporting radio access capabilities related to a first radio access technology.
The second implementation method (the first indication information is put into the first capability container) is as follows:
UECapabilityInformation-IEs::=SEQUENCE{
ue-CapabilityRAT-ContainerList UE-CapabilityRAT-ContainerList OPTIONAL,
}
wherein the UE-CapabilityRAT-Container list comprises at least one UE-CapabilityRAT-Container. For example, the UE-capability rat-controller list includes two UE-capability rats-controllers for recording a second radio access capability under the reported first radio access and a fifth radio access capability under the second radio access, respectively.
The ue-capability rat-content for recording the reported second radio access capability is as follows:
The ue-capability rat-content for recording the reported fifth radio access capability is as follows:
therefore, the UE capability information-IEs include one or more UE-capability rat-controllers, the first indication information is put into one of the UE-capability rat-controllers, and the radio access technology corresponding to the radio access capability recorded by the UE-capability rat-controllers is the same as the radio access technology corresponding to the radio access capability reported by the indication information.
In this example, if the first indication information field appears in the ue capabilities information-IEs and the field is set to the enumeration type supported, it indicates that the radio access capability reported by the ue capabilities information-IEs is a part of the radio access capabilities requested by the network device. Otherwise, if the first indication information field does not appear in the ue capability information-IEs, the radio access capability reported by the ue capability information-IEs is the radio access capability requested by the network device, that is, the radio access capability requested by the network device to obtain by the terminal device is the same as the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device.
Based on the scheme of the application, when the terminal equipment is initially accessed to a certain cell, only the wireless access capacity related to the main service cell and the main and auxiliary service cells can be reported, so that signaling overhead can be saved. Subsequently, when the network device needs to use other wireless access capabilities of the terminal device, the network device may send a capability request message again to the terminal device to request other wireless access capabilities.
Further, when the terminal device is handed over from the original network device (referred to as a first network device) to the target network device (referred to as a second network device), the first network device may send a handover message to the second network device, where the handover message carries the radio access capability acquired by the first network device (i.e., the second radio access capability in the above embodiment). Optionally, the handover message may further carry indication information, where the indication information is used to indicate that the second radio access capability is a part of the radio access capability of the first radio access capability, or is understood to be used to inform the second network device: the wireless access capability currently sent to the second network device is the tailored wireless access capability. Thus, the second network device may determine, based on the indication information, whether it is necessary to re-request the terminal device for the radio access capability of the other part.
As an implementation method, the handover message includes a third capability container, where the third capability container is configured to carry the second radio access capability. As a first implementation, the indication information is carried in the handover message but not in the third capability container. As a second implementation method, the indication information is carried in the third capability container.
The following description is made in connection with a specific example. For example, the handover message is handoverPrepartitionInformationInformationIEs, the capability Container is UE-capability RAT-Container, and the indication information is partialCapbilityind.
The first implementation method is as follows:
wherein the UE-CapabilityRAT-Container list comprises at least one UE-CapabilityRAT-Container. For example, the UE-capability rat-controller list includes a UE-capability rat-controller for recording the reported second radio access capability under the first radio access.
Thus, the HandoverPrepartitionInformationInformationIEs include indication information and one or more UE-capabilityRAT-containers, the indication information is not placed in any one of the UE-capabilityRAT-containers, or it is understood that the indication information is carried in parallel with the UE-capabilityRAT-containers in the HandoverPrepartitionInformationIEs.
In this example, if the indication information field appears in a certain UE-capability rat-Container and the field is set to an enumeration type supported, it indicates that the radio access capability carried by the UE-capability rat-Container is a part of radio access capabilities corresponding to the first radio access technology requested to be acquired by the first network device. Otherwise, if the indication information field does not appear in the UE-capability rat-content, it indicates that the radio access capability carried by the UE-capability rat-content is the radio access capability corresponding to the first radio access technology requested to be acquired by the first network device, that is, the radio access capability requested to be acquired by the first network device to the terminal device is the same as the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the first network device. The UE-capability rat-context is used to transmit radio access capabilities related to a first radio access technology.
The second implementation method is as follows:
wherein the UE-CapabilityRAT-Container list comprises at least one UE-CapabilityRAT-Container. For example, the UE-capability rat-controller list includes a UE-capability rat-controller for recording a second radio access capability under the first radio access.
The ue-capability rat-Container for recording the second radio access capability is as follows:
therefore, the handover preparation information-IEs include one or more UE-capabilities rat-containers, the indication information is put into one of the UE-capabilities rat-containers, and the radio access technology corresponding to the radio access capability recorded by the UE-capabilities rat-containers is the same as the radio access technology corresponding to the radio access capability indicated by the indication information. In this example, if the indication information field appears in the handover preparation information IEs and the field is set to the enumeration type supported, it indicates that the radio access capability in the handover preparation information IEs is a part of the radio access capabilities in the radio access capabilities that the first network device requests to acquire from the terminal device. Otherwise, if the indication information field does not appear in the handover preparation information-IEs, the indication information field indicates that the radio access capability in the handover preparation information-IEs is the radio access capability of the first network device requesting to acquire from the terminal device, that is, the radio access capability of the first network device requesting to acquire from the terminal device is the same as the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the first network device.
