Detailed Description
The network architecture and the service scenario described in the embodiment of the present application are for more clearly illustrating the technical solution of the embodiment of the present application, and do not form a limitation on the technical solution provided in the embodiment of the present application, and as a person of ordinary skill in the art knows that along with the evolution of the network architecture and the appearance of a new service scenario, the technical solution provided in the embodiment of the present application is also applicable to similar technical problems.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a network architecture applicable to the embodiment of the present application, and includes a terminal device and a network device. The terminal device communicates with the network device via a wireless interface.
A terminal device (terminal device), which is a device with a wireless transceiving function, can be deployed on land, including indoors or outdoors, and is handheld or vehicle-mounted; can also be deployed on the water surface (such as a ship and the like); and may also be deployed in the air (e.g., airplanes, balloons, satellites, etc.). The terminal device may be a mobile phone (mobile phone), a tablet computer (pad), a computer with a wireless transceiving function, a Virtual Reality (VR) terminal, an Augmented Reality (AR) terminal, a wireless terminal in industrial control (industrial control), a wireless terminal in self driving (self driving), a wireless terminal in remote medical (remote medical), a wireless terminal in smart grid (smart grid), a wireless terminal in transportation safety (transportation safety), a wireless terminal in smart city (smart city), a wireless terminal in smart home (smart home), a user equipment (user equipment, UE), and the like.
The network device is a device for providing a wireless communication function for a terminal device, and the network device includes but is not limited to: next generation base stations (G nodeB, gbb), evolved node B (eNB), Radio Network Controller (RNC), Node B (NB), Base Station Controller (BSC), Base Transceiver Station (BTS), home base station (e.g., home evolved node B, or home node B), HNB (BBU), Transmission and Reception Point (TRP), Transmission Point (TP), mobile switching center, etc. in the fifth generation (5th generation, 5G).
When the 5G is deployed independently, the logic architecture of the network device may adopt a Centralized Unit (CU) and a Distributed Unit (DU) separation mode. Based on the configuration of the protocol stack function, the CU-DU logic architecture can be divided into two types, namely a CU-DU separation architecture and a CU-DU fusion architecture. For CU-DU split architecture, the functions of the protocol stack can be dynamically configured and partitioned, with some functions implemented in CUs and the remaining functions implemented in DUs. To meet the requirements of different segmentation options, both ideal and non-ideal transport networks need to be supported. The interface between the CU and DU should comply with the third generation partnership project (3 GPP) specification requirements. For the CU-DU fusion architecture, the logical functions of the CU and the DU are integrated in the same network device to implement all the functions of the protocol stack.
After accessing a certain network, the terminal device needs to report the wireless access capability of the terminal device to the network device and the core network. The capability of the terminal device may report the Radio Access capability of the terminal device through a capability message (e.g., UECapabilityInformation), where the capability message may include the capability of the terminal device under one or more Radio Access Technologies (RATs). Among them, the radio access technologies include but are not limited to: a New Radio (NR) technology, an Evolved universal mobile telecommunications system Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) technology, an E-UTRA-NR technology, an NR-E-UTRA technology, and a universal mobile telecommunications system Terrestrial Radio Access (UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access, UTRA) technology.
Fig. 2 is a schematic flow chart of a method for reporting radio access capability in the prior art. The method comprises the following steps:
step 201, the network device sends a capability request message to the terminal device. Accordingly, the terminal device may receive the capability request message.
The capability request message is used to request the terminal device for radio access capability in a certain radio access technology or certain radio access technologies, for example: one or more of E-UTRA technology, NR technology, E-UTRA-NR technology. The capability request message may be a UECapabilityEnquiry message.
As an example, the network device is an NR base station (i.e. a gNB), and the capability request message is to request the terminal device for radio access capability in the NR technology. Further, the terminal device may be simultaneously requested for radio access capability in the E-UTRA technology, the E-UTRA-NR technology, or the like.
Generally, the capability request message may also carry filtering information (filter), where the filtering information is used to filter the radio access capability of the terminal device. Or, it is understood that the terminal device only needs to report to the network device those of the wireless access capabilities supported by the terminal device that match the filtering information. The filtering information may include, but is not limited to, one or more of the following: band (band) information of E-UTRA or NR, downlink carrier aggregation bandwidth classification (ca-Bandwidth hClassDL) of E-UTRA, uplink carrier aggregation bandwidth classification (ca-Bandwidth hClassUL) of E-UTRA, downlink maximum aggregation bandwidth of NR, uplink maximum aggregation bandwidth of NR, downlink maximum carrier number of NR/serving cell number of NR, and uplink maximum carrier number of NR/serving cell number of NR.
Generally, the filtering information specifically indicates which capability parameters are considered for deployment of the network device, for example, frequency bands supported by the network device may be considered, and the network device may request the terminal device for the capability parameters actually needed by the network device, and filter out some capability parameters that are not needed by the network device. By means of sending the filtering information, the capability information which is not needed by some network equipment can be filtered, and the size of the capability information reported by the terminal equipment is reduced, so that the signaling overhead is reduced.
In step 202, the terminal device sends a capability message to the network device. Accordingly, the network device may receive the capability message.
The capability message is used to send the wireless access capability of the terminal device requested by the network device. The capability message may be a UECapability message.
Specifically, if the capability request message does not carry the filtering parameter, the terminal device sends all the wireless access capabilities of the terminal device under all the supported wireless access technologies to the network device.
If the capability request message carries the filtering parameter, the terminal device screens out part of the wireless access capability supported by the terminal device based on the filtering parameter and sends the part of the wireless access capability to the network device.
The frequency band information in the filtering information is taken as an example.
Example one: in a single-link scenario, a main serving cell configured by the network device for the terminal device (i.e., a main cell providing service for the terminal device) operates in band1, and a carrier on which the main cell operates is referred to as a main carrier. In order to increase the transmission bandwidth and improve the uplink and downlink transmission rate, the network device may also configure one or more auxiliary carriers for the terminal device, thereby forming carrier aggregation. The cell corresponding to the secondary carrier is referred to as a secondary cell, and for example, the secondary cell may operate in band2 or band 3. For example, the network device currently operates in the NR technology, the capability request message sent by the network device is used to request the terminal device to have the radio access capability in the NR technology, and the capability request message carries filtering information, where the filtering information includes information of band1, information of band2, and information of band3, and the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device at least includes:
1) the terminal equipment has the wireless access capability corresponding to the band1 under the NR technology;
2) the terminal equipment has the wireless access capability corresponding to the band2 under the NR technology;
3) the terminal equipment has the wireless access capability corresponding to the band3 under the NR technology;
4) radio access capability of the terminal device under the NR technology corresponding to the combination (band1, band 2);
5) radio access capability of the terminal device under the NR technology corresponding to the combination (band2, band 3);
6) radio access capabilities of the terminal device under NR technology corresponding to combinations (band1, band2, band 3).
The radio access capabilities of 1), 2), and3) may also be referred to as a single frequency band, or referred to as radio access capabilities under a single carrier. The radio access capabilities of 4), 5), and 6) may also be referred to as a band combination, or referred to as a radio access capability under carrier aggregation.
It should be noted that, in the above example, the terminal device also supports band1, band2, and band3, so that the radio access capabilities corresponding to band1, band2, and band3 are reported. If the terminal device only supports the partial bands of band1, band2 and band3, the terminal device only reports the radio access capabilities corresponding to the supported partial bands. Considering that the terminal device may be switched, that is, switched from the original base station to the new base station, the terminal device may not only report the wireless access capability under the single frequency band (or referred to as a single carrier) corresponding to the primary serving cell, that is, not only report the wireless access capability under the single frequency band (or referred to as a single carrier) supported by the terminal device, but also report the wireless access capability under the single frequency band (or referred to as a single carrier) corresponding to another cell, so that the new base station may reconfigure the terminal device with reference to the wireless access capability under the single frequency band (or referred to as a single carrier) of the terminal device.
Example two: in a dual-link scenario, a main serving cell configured by a main network device for a terminal device (i.e., a main cell serving the terminal device) operates in band1, and a carrier on which the main cell operates is referred to as a main carrier. In order to increase the transmission bandwidth and improve the uplink and downlink transmission rate, the main network device may also configure one or more auxiliary carriers for the terminal device, thereby forming carrier aggregation. The cell corresponding to the secondary carrier is referred to as a secondary cell, and for example, the secondary cell may operate in band 2. Further, the primary network device may also add other network devices as secondary network devices, which may operate at band3 or band 4. For example, a Primary serving Cell configured by the Primary network device for the terminal device (i.e., a Primary Cell under a Secondary network device providing service for the terminal device, where the Primary serving Cell is also referred to as a Primary Secondary Cell Group Cell (Primary SCG Cell))) operates at band3, and a frequency band that may be used by other cells of the Secondary network device is band 4. For example, the main network device currently operates in the NR technology, the capability request message sent by the main network device is used to request the terminal device to have the radio access capability in the NR technology and the NR-E-UTRA technology, and the capability request message carries filtering information, where the filtering information includes information of band1, information of band2, information of band3, and information of band4, and the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device at least includes:
1) the terminal equipment has the wireless access capability corresponding to the band1 under the NR technology;
2) the terminal equipment has the wireless access capability corresponding to the band2 under the NR technology;
3) radio access capability of the terminal device under the NR technology corresponding to the combination (band1, band 2);
4) a radio access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band1, band3) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
5) a radio access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band1, band4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
6) a radio access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band2, band3) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
7) a radio access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band2, band4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
8) radio access capability of the terminal equipment under the NR-E-UTRA technology corresponding to the combination (band1, band3, band 4);
9) radio access capability of the terminal equipment under the NR-E-UTRA technology corresponding to the combination (band2, band3, band 4);
10) radio access capability of the terminal equipment under the NR-E-UTRA technology corresponding to the combination (band1, band2, band 3);
11) radio access capability of the terminal equipment under the NR-E-UTRA technology corresponding to the combination (band1, band2, band 4);
12) and (3) the terminal equipment has radio access capability corresponding to the combination (band1, band2, band3 and band4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology.
It should be noted that, in the above example, the terminal device also supports band1, band2, band3, and band4, so that the radio access capabilities corresponding to band1, band2, band3, and band4 are reported. If the terminal equipment only supports the partial bands of the band1, the band2, the band3 and the band4, only the radio access capability corresponding to the supported partial bands is reported. Wherein, the band1 and the band2 are NR bands, and the band3 and the band4 are E-UTRA bands.
As can be seen from the above example, the terminal device reports the radio access capabilities corresponding to all frequency bands supported by the network device, or reports the radio access capabilities corresponding to all frequency bands supported by the primary network device and the radio access capabilities corresponding to all frequency bands supported by the secondary network device.
According to the technical scheme, the filtering information is added in the capability request message, so that the terminal equipment can filter out some capability information which is not needed by the network equipment, the size of the capability information reported by the terminal equipment can be reduced, and the signaling overhead is reduced.
However, since the content of the wireless access capability of the terminal device is more, even if the filtering information is added in the capability request message, the size of the capability message reported by the terminal device is reduced, the capability message is still larger, resulting in still larger signaling overhead.
In order to further reduce signaling overhead, the embodiment of the present application provides to further reduce the reported wireless access capability, or comprehend that the terminal device further cuts the reported wireless access capability. Specifically, in the embodiment of the present application, the terminal device only reports the radio access capability currently used by the network device, and for the radio access capability not currently used by the network device, the terminal device may not report the radio access capability temporarily, for example, if a main serving cell of the terminal device operates in band1, the network device currently uses the radio access capability related to band1, and does not use the radio access capability corresponding to another band combination unrelated to band1 temporarily, the terminal device may only report the radio access capability related to band1, and does not report the radio access capability corresponding to another band combination unrelated to band1 temporarily. Therefore, the signaling overhead of the terminal equipment when reporting the wireless access capability can be further reduced. Optionally, if the subsequent network device needs to use the wireless access capability that is not reported by the terminal device, the terminal device may report again based on the request of the network device.
In the prior art, a terminal device reports a wireless access capability based on a request of a network device, where the reported wireless access capability includes a wireless access capability currently used by the network device and a wireless access capability not currently used by the network device. In the embodiment of the present application, the wireless access capability that is not currently used by the network device is not reported for the time being, but only the wireless access capability that is currently used by the network device is reported. Compared with the prior art, the embodiment of the application can further reduce the signaling overhead.
The following description is divided into two different cases.
In case one, the capability request message sent by the network device to the terminal device does not include the filtering information.
It should be noted that this case is applicable to a single link scenario or a double link scenario. In the dual link scenario, the following network device is referred to as the primary network device.
The terminal device receives a capability request message sent by the network device, where the capability request message is used to request a first radio access capability of the terminal device under at least one radio access technology, where the at least one radio access technology at least includes a first radio access technology, and the first radio access technology is a radio access technology in which the network device operates.
The terminal device determines a radio access capability (referred to as a second radio access capability in embodiments herein) associated with the first cell in the first radio access technology. For example, the frequency band information may be used as a screening condition, and if the first cell operates in the first frequency band, the terminal device may determine a radio access capability (i.e., a second radio access capability) related to the first frequency band in the first radio access technology. For another example, the carrier information may be used as a screening condition, and if the first cell operates on the first carrier, the terminal device may determine a radio access capability (i.e., a second radio access capability) related to the first carrier in the first radio access technology. For another example, the frequency band information and the carrier information may be used as the screening condition at the same time, and if the first cell operates in the first frequency band and operates in the first carrier, the terminal device may determine the radio access capability (i.e., the second radio access capability) related to the first carrier and the first frequency band under the first radio access technology.
And then, the terminal equipment reports the second wireless access capability to the network equipment.
Optionally, the reported capability message may further include a radio access capability (referred to as a fourth radio access capability in this embodiment) corresponding to a single frequency band and/or a single carrier, where the single frequency band does not include the first frequency band, or it is understood that the single frequency band herein refers to a frequency band, other than a frequency band in which the primary serving cell operates, in a frequency band supported by the network device, and the single carrier herein does not include the first carrier, or it is understood that the single carrier herein refers to a carrier, other than a carrier in which the primary serving cell operates, in a carrier supported by the network device.
Optionally, if the at least one radio access technology further includes a second radio access technology, that is, the first radio access capability requested by the capability request message further includes a radio access capability of the terminal device in the second radio access technology (referred to as a fifth radio access capability in this embodiment of the present application), the capability message reported by the terminal device further includes the fifth radio access capability. It should be noted that, the fifth radio access capability may be an un-tailored radio access capability, or may also be a tailored radio access capability, where a tailoring method is similar to the tailoring method in the first radio access technology, and is not described again.
It can be seen that, in the prior art, the radio access capability reported by the terminal device is all the radio access capabilities of the terminal device in the first radio access technology, that is, the radio access capability requested by the corresponding network device. In the method of the embodiment of the present application, the radio access capability (i.e., the second radio access capability) reported by the terminal device is less than all the radio access capabilities (i.e., the first radio access capabilities) of the terminal device in the first radio access technology, so that the reported radio access capabilities are further reduced, and signaling overhead can be reduced.
For example, the first radio access capability requested by the network device to be reported by the terminal device includes a radio access capability corresponding to band1 under the NR technology, a radio access capability corresponding to band2, and a radio access capability corresponding to (band1, band2), and the network device currently operates under the NR technology. According to the prior art, the terminal device reports the radio access capability corresponding to the band1, the radio access capability corresponding to the band2, and the radio access capabilities corresponding to the bands 1 and2 under the NR technology to the network device. In the embodiment of the present application, the terminal device reports only a part of the radio access capabilities requested by the network device to the network device. For example, the second radio access capability reported by the terminal device includes a radio access capability related to the band1 in the NR technology, that is, a radio access capability corresponding to the band1 in the NR technology and a radio access capability corresponding to the band1 or the band 2. The radio access capability corresponding to the band2 in the NR technology is referred to as a fourth radio access capability, and the fourth radio access capability may not be reported to the network device temporarily, or may be reported to the network device together with the second radio access capability. For example, in this example, if the fourth radio access capability and the second radio access capability are reported to the network device together, the radio access capability reported by the prior art is the same, and the effect of clipping the reported radio access capability cannot be achieved, so the fourth radio access capability may not be reported in this example. Further, if the network device further requests the terminal device to report the radio access capability (referred to as a fifth radio access capability) corresponding to the band3 in the E-UTRA technology, the terminal device may also report the fifth radio access capability to the network device.
In case two, the capability request message sent by the network device to the terminal device contains filtering information.
The terminal device determines a radio access capability (referred to as a third radio access capability in the embodiment of the present application) corresponding to the filtering information in the first radio access technology according to the capability request message and the filtering information. That is, all the wireless access capabilities supported by the terminal device are first screened according to the filtering information.
And then, the terminal equipment screens the third wireless access capability according to the first cell. Specifically, the terminal device determines a radio access capability (referred to as a second radio access capability in the embodiment of the present application) related to the first cell in the third radio access capability. For example, the frequency band information may be used as a screening condition, and if the first cell operates in the first frequency band, the terminal device may determine a radio access capability (i.e., the second radio access capability) related to the first frequency band in the third radio access capability. For another example, the carrier information may be used as a screening condition, and if the first cell operates on the first carrier, the terminal device may determine a radio access capability (i.e., the second radio access capability) related to the first carrier in the third radio access capabilities. For another example, the frequency band information and the carrier information may be used as the screening condition at the same time, and if the first cell operates in the first frequency band and operates in the first carrier, the terminal device may determine the radio access capability (i.e., the second radio access capability) related to the first carrier and the first frequency band in the third radio access capability.
As an implementation method, in a single link scenario, the first cell in the first scenario or the second scenario may be a primary serving cell configured by the network device for the terminal device, that is, what is reported by the terminal device is a wireless access capability related to the primary serving cell. When the terminal device initially accesses a cell, the cell is used as a primary serving cell of the terminal device, and other cells under the network device are used as secondary cells of the terminal device. The network device requests the terminal device to acquire the wireless access capability of the terminal device under the first wireless access technology. According to the prior art scheme, the terminal device reports all the radio access capabilities of the terminal device under the first radio access technology to the network device, and some of the reported radio access capabilities are related to the primary serving cell and some are related to the secondary cell. However, the network device currently only uses the radio access capability of the terminal device related to the primary serving cell in the first radio access technology, and does not use the radio access capability of the terminal device related to only the secondary cell in the first radio access technology, so in this embodiment of the present application, the terminal device may currently report the radio access capability of the terminal device related to the primary serving cell in the first radio access technology first, and may not report those radio access capabilities related to only the secondary cell temporarily. Optionally, the first cell includes a main serving cell and a part of secondary cells configured by the network device for the terminal device, that is, in this embodiment of the present application, the terminal device may report the radio access capability of the terminal device related to the main serving cell in the first radio access technology, and report the radio access capability related to the part of secondary cells in the first radio access technology, instead of reporting the radio access capabilities related to all the secondary cells in the first radio access technology. By the scheme, the wireless access capability reported by the medium equipment can be reduced, and the signaling overhead is further saved. And because the reported wireless access capability at least comprises the wireless access capability currently used by the network equipment, the normal communication between the network equipment and the terminal equipment is not influenced.
As an implementation method, in a dual-link scenario, the first cell in the first scenario or the second scenario may be a main serving cell configured by a main network device for a terminal device, that is, what is reported by the terminal device is a wireless access capability related to the main serving cell. Or the first cell is a primary cell and a secondary cell configured by the primary network device for the terminal device, that is, what the terminal device reports is the wireless access capability related to the primary cell and the secondary cell. Or the first cell includes a primary serving cell and a primary and secondary cell, that is, what the terminal device reports is the radio access capability related to the primary serving cell and the primary and secondary cell. When the terminal device initially accesses to a cell of the main network device, the cell is used as a main serving cell of the terminal device, and other cells under the network device are used as auxiliary cells of the terminal device. And a cell under the secondary network device of the terminal device is used as a primary and secondary serving cell of the terminal device, and other cells under the secondary network device are used as secondary cells of the terminal device. The main network device requests the terminal device to acquire the wireless access capability of the terminal device under the first wireless access technology. According to the prior art scheme, the terminal device reports all wireless access capabilities of the terminal device under the first wireless access technology to the main network device, and some of the reported wireless access capabilities are related to the main serving cell or the main and auxiliary serving cells, and some are related to the auxiliary cell. However, the network device currently only uses the radio access capability of the terminal device related to the primary serving cell or the primary and secondary serving cells under the first radio access technology, and does not use the radio access capability of the terminal device related to only the secondary cell under the first radio access technology, so in this embodiment of the present application, the terminal device may currently report the radio access capability of the terminal device related to the primary serving cell or the primary and secondary serving cells under the first radio access technology first, and temporarily not report those radio access capabilities related to only the secondary cell. Optionally, the first cell may further include a part of secondary cells, that is, in this embodiment of the application, the terminal device may report the radio access capability of the terminal device related to the primary serving cell and/or the primary and secondary serving cells in the first radio access technology, and report the radio access capability related to the part of secondary cells in the first radio access technology, instead of reporting the radio access capability related to all the secondary cells in the first radio access technology. By the scheme, the wireless access capability reported by the medium equipment can be reduced, and the signaling overhead is further saved. And because the reported wireless access capability at least comprises the wireless access capability currently used by the network equipment, the normal communication between the network equipment and the terminal equipment is not influenced.
Taking the above example one (single link scenario) as an example, an improved scheme of the embodiment of the present application is described below.
In example one above, according to the prior art, 1) to 6) above will be described. In this embodiment, taking an example that the terminal device must report the wireless access capability related to the primary serving cell (that is, the first cell refers to the primary serving cell), the wireless access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device in this embodiment includes a second wireless access capability, which specifically includes:
1) the terminal equipment has the wireless access capability corresponding to the band1 under the NR technology;
2) radio access capability of the terminal device under the NR technology corresponding to the combination (band1, band 2);
3) radio access capabilities of the terminal device under NR technology corresponding to combinations (band1, band2, band 3).
It can be seen that, in the prior art, the network device requests the terminal device to report the first radio access capability (i.e. 1) to 6) and the terminal device reports the first radio access capability to the network device. In the embodiment of the present application, the second radio access capability (i.e. the above-mentioned capabilities 1) to 3)) reported by the terminal device to the network device is less than the first radio access capability reported by the terminal device in the prior art. Wherein the second wireless access capability is a wireless access capability currently used by the network device. Therefore, in the embodiment of the application, the signaling overhead of the terminal equipment can be saved.
Optionally, the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device further includes a fourth radio access capability (i.e., a radio access capability corresponding to a single band except for the band1 used by the primary serving cell), which specifically includes:
4) the terminal equipment has the wireless access capability corresponding to the band2 under the NR technology;
5) the terminal equipment has radio access capability corresponding to band3 under the NR technology.
Optionally, the wireless access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device further includes:
6) radio access capability of the terminal device under the NR technique corresponding to the combination (band2, band 3).
It should be noted that 1) to 3) above are necessarily reported, while 4) to 6) are optionally reported, and 1) to 6) are not reported at the same time. That is, the reported wireless access capability is less than the wireless access capability requested by the network device.
Further, if the capability request message sent by the network device is used to request the radio access capability of the terminal device in the E-UTRA technology, the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device may also include the radio access capability (i.e., the fifth radio access capability) of the terminal device in the E-UTRA technology.
It can be seen that the radio access capability that must be reported in the embodiment of the present application is only the radio access capability that is currently used by the network device, so compared with the prior art, this example further reduces the reported radio access capability, and thus can reduce signaling overhead.
It should be noted that, in the above example, the terminal device also supports band1, band2, and band3, so that the radio access capabilities corresponding to band1, band2, and band3 are reported, and if the terminal device only supports a part of bands of band1, band2, and band3, only the radio access capabilities corresponding to the part of bands that are supported are reported.
Taking the above example two (dual link scenario) as an example, an improved scheme of the embodiment of the present application is described below.
In the second example, the above 1) to 12) are performed according to the prior art. In this embodiment, taking an example that the terminal device must report the wireless access capability related to the main serving cell (that is, the first cell refers to a main serving cell configured by the main network device for the terminal device), the wireless access capability reported by the terminal device to the main network device in this embodiment includes a second wireless access capability, which specifically includes:
1) the terminal equipment has the wireless access capability corresponding to the band1 under the NR technology;
2) radio access capability of the terminal device under the NR technology corresponding to the combination (band1, band 2);
3) a radio access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band1, band3) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
4) a radio access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band1, band4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology;
5) radio access capability of the terminal equipment under the NR-E-UTRA technology corresponding to the combination (band1, band3, band 4);
6) radio access capability of the terminal equipment under the NR-E-UTRA technology corresponding to the combination (band1, band2, band 3);
7) radio access capability of the terminal equipment under the NR-E-UTRA technology corresponding to the combination (band1, band2, band 4);
8) and (3) the terminal equipment has radio access capability corresponding to the combination (band1, band2, band3 and band4) under the NR-E-UTRA technology.
It can be seen that, in the prior art, the main network device requests the terminal device to report the first wireless access capability (i.e. 1 to 12) in the second example), and the terminal device reports the first wireless access capability to the main network device. In the embodiment of the present application, the second radio access capability (i.e. 1) to 8) reported by the terminal device to the main network device is less than the first radio access capability reported by the terminal device in the prior art. Wherein the second wireless access capability is a wireless access capability currently used by the main network device. Therefore, in the embodiment of the application, the signaling overhead of the terminal equipment can be saved.
Optionally, the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the main network device further includes a fourth radio access capability (i.e. radio access capabilities corresponding to other single bands except for the band1 used by the main serving cell), which specifically includes:
9) the terminal equipment has radio access capability corresponding to band2 under the NR technology.
Optionally, the wireless access capability reported by the terminal device to the main network device further includes:
10) radio access capability of the terminal device under the NR technique corresponding to the combination (band2, band 3).
11) Radio access capability of the terminal device under the NR technique corresponding to the combination (band2, band 4).
12) Radio access capability of the terminal device corresponding to the combination (band2, band3, band4) under the NR-E-UTRA technique.
It should be noted that, in this example, the above 1) to 8) are necessarily reported, and 9) to 12) are optionally reported, and the above 1) to 12) are not reported at the same time. I.e. the reported radio access capability is less than the radio access capability requested by the main network device.
Further, if the capability request message sent by the network device is used to request the radio access capability of the terminal device in the E-UTRA technology, the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the main network device may also include the radio access capability (i.e., the fifth radio access capability) of the terminal device in the E-UTRA technology.
It can be seen that the radio access capability that must be reported in the embodiment of the present application is only the radio access capability currently used by the main network device, so that compared with the prior art, the example further reduces the reported radio access capability, thereby reducing signaling overhead. It should be noted that, in the above example, the terminal device also supports band1, band2, band3, and band4, so that the radio access capabilities corresponding to band1, band2, band3, and band4 are reported, and if the terminal device only supports a part of bands of band1, band2, band3, and band4, only the radio access capabilities corresponding to the part of bands that are supported are reported. Wherein, the band1 and the band2 are NR bands, and the band3 and the band4 are E-UTRA bands.
Further, in any of the above implementation methods, the terminal device carries the second radio access capability in the capability message. Optionally, the capability message further carries indication information (which may be referred to as first indication information), where the indication information is used to indicate that the second radio access capability is a part of the radio access capability of the first radio access capability.
For example, when the capability request message sent by the network device is the same as the capability request message in the prior art, and the operation of reporting and cutting the radio access capability is triggered and executed by the terminal device, the capability message needs to carry the indication information to inform the network device: the second radio access capability currently reported is not identical to the first radio access capability requested by the network device, and specifically, is configured to indicate that the second radio access capability currently reported is a partial radio access capability of the first radio access capability requested by the network device. Optionally, the capability message may also carry band information and/or carrier information when the wireless access capability is tailored.
For another example, when it is determined by the network device that the terminal device needs to further tailor the wireless access capability according to the operating frequency band and/or the carrier, the network device may add a new piece of indication information (which may be referred to as second indication information) in the capability request message to indicate the terminal device to further tailor the wireless access capability according to the operating frequency band and/or the operating carrier, where in this case, the capability message reported by the terminal device may carry the first indication information), or may not carry the first indication information.
Further, in this embodiment of the present application, in any implementation method, the capability message reported by the terminal device may include a first capability container, which is used to carry the second radio access capability. If the terminal device further reports the first indication information, the first indication information may be carried in the first capability container or carried outside the first capability container.
Taking the capability request message for requesting the wireless access capabilities of the terminal device under the first wireless access technology and the second wireless access technology as an example, when the terminal device sends the capability message to the network device, the terminal device carries a first capability container and a second capability container in the capability message, where the first capability container is used to carry the second wireless access capability, and the second capability container is used to carry the wireless access capabilities (i.e., the fifth wireless access capability) of the terminal device under the second wireless access technology. Optionally, the first capability container may further carry the fourth wireless access capability.
Optionally, if the terminal device further carries the first indication information, the first indication information may not be placed in any capability container, or may be placed in the first capability container. When the first indication information is placed in the first capability container, the first indication information may be specifically used to indicate that the second radio access capability carried in the first capability container is a partial radio access capability of the first radio access capability and is a radio access capability under the first radio access technology. That is, when the first indication information is put into the first capability container, the terminal device may additionally inform the network device of: currently, the radio access capabilities under the first radio access technology are tailored.
In a specific implementation, as an implementation method, the function of the first indication information is implemented by 1-bit information, when the 1-bit information is "0", it indicates that the radio access capability reported by the terminal device is a part of the radio access capability of the first radio access capability requested by the network device, and when the 1-bit information is "1", it indicates that the radio access capability reported by the terminal device is the first radio access capability requested by the network device. Or, when the 1-bit information is "1", it indicates that the radio access capability reported by the terminal device is a partial radio access capability of the first radio access capability requested by the network device, and when the 1-bit information is "0", it indicates that the radio access capability reported by the terminal device is the first radio access capability requested by the network device.
As an implementation method, the function of the first indication information may be implemented by whether to send the first indication information. For example, when the capability message sent by the terminal device carries the first indication information, it indicates that the radio access capability reported by the terminal device is a part of the radio access capability of the first radio access capability requested by the network device. When the capability message sent by the terminal device does not carry the first indication information, it indicates that the wireless access capability reported by the terminal device is the first wireless access capability requested by the network device.
Optionally, if the capability message further includes frequency band information and/or carrier information, the frequency band information is used to indicate the first frequency band corresponding to the first cell, the carrier information is used to indicate the first carrier corresponding to the first cell, and a carrying manner of the frequency band information and/or the carrier information is similar to the first indication information. The band information and/or the carrier information may not be placed in any capacity container, or may be placed in the first capacity container.
This is explained below with reference to a specific example. For example, the capability message is UE capability information-IEs, the capability Container is UE-capability rat-Container, and the first indication information is partialcapability ind.
The first implementation (the first indication information is not put in any capability container) is as follows:
Figure BDA0002430921830000151
wherein the UE-capability RAT-ContainerList includes at least one UE-capability RAT-Container. For example, the UE-capability rat-Container list includes two UE-capability rat-containers for recording the reported second radio access capability under the first radio access and the reported fifth radio access capability under the second radio access, respectively.
Therefore, the UE capability information-IEs includes first indication information and one or more UE-capability rat-containers, the first indication information is not placed in any UE-capability rat-Container, or the first indication information and the UE-capability rat-Container are understood to be carried in the UE capability information-IEs in parallel.
In this example, if the first indication information field appears in a certain UE-capability rat-Container and the field is set to an enumeration type supported, it indicates that the radio access capability carried by the UE-capability rat-Container is a part of the radio access capability corresponding to the first radio access technology requested by the network device. Otherwise, if the first indication information field does not appear in the UE-capability rat-Container, it indicates that the radio access capability carried by the UE-capability rat-Container is the radio access capability corresponding to the first radio access technology requested by the network device. The UE-capability rat-Container is configured to report a radio access capability related to a first radio access technology.
The second implementation method (the first indication information is put into the first capability container) is as follows:
UECapabilityInformation-IEs::=SEQUENCE{
ue-CapabilityRAT-ContainerList UE-CapabilityRAT-ContainerList OPTIONAL,
}
wherein the UE-capability RAT-ContainerList includes at least one UE-capability RAT-Container. For example, the UE-capability rat-Container list includes two UE-capability rat-containers for recording the reported second radio access capability under the first radio access and the reported fifth radio access capability under the second radio access, respectively.
The ue-capability rat-Container for recording the reported second radio access capability is as follows:
Figure BDA0002430921830000161
the ue-capability rat-Container for recording the reported fifth radio access capability is as follows:
Figure BDA0002430921830000162
therefore, the UE capability information-IEs includes one or more UE-capability rat-containers, the first indication information is placed in one of the UE-capability rat-containers, and a radio access technology corresponding to the radio access capability recorded by the UE-capability rat-Container is the same as the radio access technology corresponding to the radio access capability reported by the first indication information.
In this example, if the first indication information field appears in the ue capability information-IEs and the field is set to the enumerated type supported, it indicates that the radio access capability reported by the ue capability information-IEs is a part of the radio access capability requested by the network device. Otherwise, if the first indication information field does not appear in the ue capability information-IEs, it indicates that the radio access capability reported by the ue capability information-IEs is the radio access capability requested by the network device, that is, the radio access capability requested by the network device to the terminal device is the same as the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the network device.
Based on the scheme of the application, when the terminal equipment is initially accessed to a certain cell, the terminal equipment can only report the wireless access capacity related to the main serving cell and the main and auxiliary serving cells, so that the signaling overhead can be saved. Subsequently, when the network device needs to use other wireless access capabilities of the terminal device, the network device may send the capability request message to the terminal device again to request other wireless access capabilities.
Further, when the terminal device is handed over from the original network device (referred to as a first network device) to the target network device (referred to as a second network device), the first network device may send a handover message to the second network device, where the handover message carries the wireless access capability (i.e., the second wireless access capability in the above embodiment) acquired by the first network device. Optionally, the handover message may further carry indication information, where the indication information is used to indicate that the second radio access capability is a partial radio access capability of the first radio access capability, or is understood to be used to inform the second network device to: the radio access capability currently sent to the second network device is the tailored radio access capability. Thus, the second network device can determine whether or not to re-request the terminal device for the other part of the radio access capability based on the indication information.
As an implementation method, the handover message includes a third capability container, and the third capability container is used for carrying the second radio access capability. As a first implementation method, the indication information is carried in the handover message but not in the third capability container. As a second implementation method, the indication information is carried in a third capability container.
This is explained below with reference to a specific example. For example, the handover message is handover preparation information-IEs, the capability Container is UE-capability rat-Container, and the indication information is partialcapability ind.
The first implementation method is as follows:
Figure BDA0002430921830000171
wherein the UE-capability RAT-ContainerList includes at least one UE-capability RAT-Container. For example, the UE-capability rat-Container list includes a UE-capability rat-Container for recording the reported second radio access capability under the first radio access.
Therefore, the handover preparation information-IEs contains indication information that is not placed in any UE-capability rat-Container and one or more UE-capability rat-containers, or it is understood that the indication information and the UE-capability rat-Container are carried in parallel in the handover preparation information-IEs.
In this example, if an indication information field appears in a certain UE-capability rat-Container and the field is set to an enumeration type supported, it indicates that the radio access capability carried by the UE-capability rat-Container is a part of the radio access capability corresponding to the first radio access technology requested to be acquired by the first network device. Otherwise, if the indication information field does not appear in the UE-capability rat-Container, it indicates that the radio access capability carried by the UE-capability rat-Container is the radio access capability corresponding to the first radio access technology requested to be acquired by the first network device, that is, the radio access capability requested to be acquired by the first network device from the terminal device is the same as the radio access capability reported by the terminal device to the first network device. The UE-capability rat-Container is configured to transmit radio access capabilities related to a first radio access technology.
The second implementation method is as follows:
Figure BDA0002430921830000181
wherein the UE-capability RAT-ContainerList includes at least one UE-capability RAT-Container. For example, the UE-capability rat-Container list includes a UE-capability rat-Container for recording the second radio access capability under the first radio access.
The ue-capability rat-Container for recording the second radio access capability is as follows:
Figure BDA0002430921830000182
therefore, the handover preparation information-IEs includes one or more UE-capabilities rat-containers, the indication information is placed in one of the UE-capabilities rat-containers, and the radio access technology corresponding to the radio access capability recorded in the UE-capabilities rat-Container is the same as the radio access technology corresponding to the radio access capability indicated by the indication information. In this example, if the indication information field appears in the handover preparation information-IEs and the field is set to the enumerated type supported, it indicates that the radio access capability in the handover preparation information-IEs is a part of the radio access capability that the first network device requests the terminal device to acquire. Otherwise, if the indication information field does not appear in the handover proactive information-IEs, it indicates that the radio access capability in the handover proactive information-IEs is the radio access capability that the first network device requests to acquire from the terminal device, that is, the radio access capability that the first network device requests to acquire from the terminal device is the same as the radio access capability that the terminal device reports to the first network device.
