In addition, by closing the drain valve 17, the washing water and the rinsing water can be stored in the outer tub 9. Further, by opening the drain valve 17, the water (wash water, rinse water) in the outer tub 9 can be discharged to the outside of the washing and drying machine 1 through the wash water drain passage 18.
A drying duct 12 as an air blowing passage is integrally provided with the back surface of the tub 9. A water-cooling dehumidifying mechanism (not shown) is incorporated in the drying air duct 12, and the water supply unit 7 supplies cooling water (tap water) to the water-cooling dehumidifying mechanism. The cooling water flows along the wall surface (metal plate made of stainless steel or the like) of the drying air duct 12, flows into the drop portion 15, and is discharged to the outside of the machine through the lower communication pipe 16 and the washing water drain passage 18.
An outlet of the drying air duct 12 is connected to an inlet of a fan 20 as an air blowing unit, and an outlet of the fan 20 is connected to a heater 21. The outlet of the heater 21 is connected to a blow nozzle 24 via a blowing air duct 22 and a corrugated tube 23 made of rubber. That is, the fan 20 serving as the blowing unit blows the air blown from the blowing nozzle 24 to the laundry put into the inner tub.
That is, when the fan 20 is driven, the air in the outer tub 9 flows into the drying duct 12. The air water-cooled and dehumidified by the drying duct 12 is discharged from the fan 20, heated by the heater 21, and blown out into the washing and dehydrating tub 8 from the blow-out nozzle 24 as high-temperature and low-humidity air.

The dust collecting device 26 in the present embodiment is formed of resin, and is not limited thereto as long as predetermined mechanical strength and workability can be obtained, and it may be formed of other materials such as metal.
Fig. 2 shows the arrangement of the outer tub 9, the dust collecting device 26, the duct cover 27, and the suction bellows 28. The dust collecting device 26 is attached so as to be sandwiched between the outer tub 9 and the duct cover 27. The dust collecting device 26 is provided in a partial region (a region of a part of the connection portion) where the fan 20 serving as the air blowing portion and the drying air duct 12 serving as the air blowing passage are connected.
Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the dust collection device 26. The dust collecting device 26 includes: a slope part 26a as a water collecting part for collecting a part of the washing water, and a hole 26b for injecting the collected part of the washing water into a nozzle 26c as a dust collecting part where dust is accumulated. The nozzle 26c has a plurality of nozzles, each of which has a structure in which the cross-sectional area decreases as it goes downward, and has a comb-tooth shape.
As a result, the air circulating in the dry air duct 12 flows upward from below in the drawing, and at this time, the dust contained in the air is retained in the portion of the nozzle 12c (dust retention portion S in fig. 4) serving as the dust collection portion. Further, by providing the nozzle 12c to collect the dust, a part of the washing water flowing toward the slope portion 26a as the water collecting portion is circulated to the nozzle 12c through the hole 26b, whereby the dust retention portion S can be sufficiently washed.
Fig. 4 is a front sectional view of the outer tub 9, the dust collecting device 26, the duct cover 27, and the suction bellows 28 in an attached state. W denotes cleaning water, and S denotes a dust retention portion. The washing water W flowing through the back side of the suction bellows 28 falls to the slope portion 26a of the dust collecting device 26 and is conveyed to the upper side of the dust retention portion S. Then, the cleaning water W is injected into the dust retention section S through the hole 26b formed in the dust collection device 26. This enables the dust retention portion S to be sufficiently cleaned. The cleaning water W is water for cleaning the air blowing passage, and is not cooling water used in the drying operation.
