Abstract
The invention relates to a tension belt for a wheeled luggage with a telescopic handle, comprising an elastic belt provided with a fixing device on each narrow side.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a tension band for a wheeled luggage case having a retractable handle.
Background
Such wheeled luggage is known and proven in many embodiments. Regardless of the design of such a wheeled luggage case, for example, with two or four wheels, the handle pulled out for transport is significantly higher than the upper side of the case body. In this connection, it is not surprising that other luggage is placed on the upper side of the luggage case and rests on the telescopic rods. Luggage so placed is then easily dropped while moving the wheeled luggage.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to prevent this, according to the invention a tension band for a wheeled luggage case with a retractable handle is proposed, wherein the elastic band is provided with a fixing device on each narrow side.
Such elastic bands are joined at a first end to the handle by means of a fixing device, are guided via the luggage placed on the upper side of the luggage case and resting on the telescopic link, and are joined at a second end to the handle or telescopic link by means of a fixing device.
In a simple embodiment, it is provided that the fastening means are formed by rollers which are fastened to the belt ends transversely to the longitudinal extent of the belt and project beyond the side edges of the belt.
The strip can be wound around the roller and bonded thereto, for example, in a simple manner. The stick length is selected here such that it is arranged to be greater than the inner clear width of the grip opening of the handle of the roller luggage case. The roller is guided through the grip opening of the handle so as to twist, so that the section of the roller projecting beyond the side edge of the strip latches onto the handle.
Such a stick as a fixing device is also suitable for being fixed to the two telescopic rods on the underside of the handle.
In various embodiments of the roller luggage case with regard to the distance of such telescopic rods or the size of the grip opening of the carrying handle, it is advantageous if the rollers are telescopic. On the one hand, such a roller is suitable without problems for different projections relative to the side edges of the strip and preferably hardly projects beyond said side edges in a push-together manner. This is advantageous when not in use, since such tension bands can then be stored in bags or the like without problems.
Alternatively, the fixing means can be configured according to the type of handle. In order to tension the luggage on the upper side of the roller luggage case on one or both telescopic struts, a significantly greater force can be applied. If the handle protrudes beyond the side edge of the belt, such a handle can be fixed according to the previous embodiment. If the handle of the roller luggage case is adjustable on only one telescopic pull rod, it has at least one free end onto which the handle can be pushed by means of its grip opening.
In a configuration of the fastening device according to the type of handle with a grip opening, it is preferred that a slit is provided in the handle for introducing the strap into the grip opening, said slit preferably running transversely to the longitudinal extension of the strap. Such a fastening device has the advantage that almost any fastening is possible if the strap is wrapped around the handle or grip, possibly around a telescopic pull rod, to be introduced into the lateral slit. The band thus forms a loop for fastening to an almost arbitrary element, which is formed in a rod-like manner at least in sections.
It has furthermore proven to be expedient for the fastening device to have a groove in which the narrow side of the fastening strip is secured.
If it is provided that the two fastening devices on the belt ends are of identical design, the tension belt according to the invention can be produced cost-effectively.
Alternatively, it can be provided that the fastening device is designed in a box-like or sleeve-like manner, whereby a simple storage of the rolled or gathered strips is obtained when not in use. Another alternative is belt perforation at the belt ends. If the other end of the strap is pulled through such a strap perforation, a loop is formed for almost any fixation.
If the tension band according to the invention is rolled up when not in use, the tension band is unrolled due to its elasticity. In order to prevent this, button latches are furthermore proposed which are either on the encircling band or on the elastic band itself.
In a preferred embodiment of the fixing means, the fixing means are again constructed according to the type of handle in which two parallel slits are provided. In contrast to the exemplary embodiments described above, the slits are each completely edge-machined.
In a further embodiment of the exemplary embodiment, it is provided that the first slit closest to the grip opening is wider than the second slit running parallel thereto.
In a development, the slit has a funnel-shaped narrowing introduction region for the elastic band.
The elastic band is introduced in a simple manner into the first slit, the connecting piece separating the two slits is wound and guided through the second slit opposite the first slit.
The width of the second slit is arranged only slightly larger than the material thickness of the strip. After the tape is guided through the second slit, the tape is locked on the handle in a pull-out manner without any other measures.
Drawings
The invention is further elucidated on the basis of the drawing, in which embodiments are shown schematically and not to scale. Shown in the drawings are:
fig. 1 shows a front view of the illustrated roller luggage case, with another piece of luggage held by a tension band placed thereon,
figure 2 shows a variant of the tension band according to figure 1,
figure 3 shows a tension band with a handle,
figure 4 shows a further embodiment of the handle,
figure 5 shows a side view according to arrow V in figure 4,
figure 6 shows an enlarged section according to the lines VI, VI in figure 4,
figure 7 shows an isometric view of the handle.
Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a simplified representation of a roller luggage item 1 in a front view, which has a handle 2 at two telescopic struts 3, 4. On the upper side 5 of the box body 6 with the handle 7, a further piece of luggage 8 is placed. The luggage item 8 is held fixed on the upper side 5 and against the two telescopic struts 3, 4 by means of a tension belt 9.
The tension belt 9 has an elastic belt 10, preferably made of synthetic material, to the narrow sides of which fixing means in the form of rollers 11, 12 are fixed.
The rollers 11, 12 extend transversely to the longitudinal extension of the belt 10 and project beyond the side edges 13, 14 thereof. The projections are arranged such that the sticks 12 latch laterally after passing through the handle grip openings 15 of the handle 7.
The stick 11 latches onto the telescopic links 3, 4, respectively, at a projection at the other end of the belt 10. In this case, depending on the size of the luggage 8 and the length of the strap 10, it is relevant whether the latching takes place as shown or whether the strap 10 is guided via the handle 2, so that the stick 11 is then latched onto the telescopic link 3, 4 from the front.
Fig. 2 shows the tension belt 19 with the belt 20 on the left side of the midline 18, extending from a roller 21 as a fastening means, and on the right side of the midline 18 the tension belt 19' when not in use. In this embodiment of the tension band 19, the roller 21 is designed according to the type of telescope and can be adapted to different distances of the telescopic rod or to the width of the grip opening. The roller 21 has a closing disk 22 at its free end, at which the retractable roller 21 can be pulled out very easily and which on the other hand prevents the roller 21 from being pushed together too much.
Furthermore, the closing disk 22 'serves as a guide for the rolling-up of the band 20' during the insertion of the roller.
Of course, the same type of fastening means may be provided at the other end of the belt 20.
In the embodiment according to fig. 2, there is however provided a box-like fastening device 23 for receiving the rolled-up strap 20' when not in use, the right half of fig. 2.
In the embodiment according to fig. 3, a handle 27 is provided as a fixing device on the narrow side of the elastic band 26. The handle 27 also has a straight connecting piece 28 which is provided on the underside with a groove for receiving the narrow side of the elastic band 26. Via the connecting piece 28, a gripping arch 29 is arched, by means of which a gripping opening 30 is defined. The slit 31 allows the strap to be introduced into the grip opening 30 after the handle or handle has been wound, thus forming a loop for securing the strap 26.
Such a handle 27 is less suitable for the rolling up of the strip 26. In this context, the other end of the strap 26 is provided with a sleeve 32, similar to a cell phone case, for accommodating the folded strap 26 together with the handle 27.
According to fig. 4-7, another embodiment in the form of a handle 35 is illustrated. A wide section 37 is connected below the grip opening 36. Two parallel slits 38, 39 are introduced into the section 37. In contrast to the embodiments described above, the two slits 38, 39 are completely edge-machined.
In order to fix the elastic band on the handle 35, the band is first guided through a relatively wide slit 38, wound around a connecting piece 40 and guided in the opposite direction through a second slit 39 which is only arranged slightly wider than the material thickness of the band.
Then if the belt is loaded in tension, the belt latches onto the handle 35. The renewed unloading allows further guidance of the strap through the two slits 38, 39 so that the strap length is simply matched to the given situation.
For simple guidance of the band into the slots 38, 39, projections 41-43 are formed on both sides, by means of which tapered insertion regions 44, 45 are formed in the shape of a funnel.
