The term "one embodiment" means "at least one embodiment"; the term "another embodiment" means "at least one additional embodiment"; the term "some embodiments" means "at least some embodiments". Relevant definitions for other terms will be given in the following description.
It should be noted that the terms "first", "second", and the like in the present disclosure are only used for distinguishing different devices, modules or units, and are not used for limiting the order or interdependence relationship of the functions performed by the devices, modules or units.
It is noted that references to "a", "an", and "the" modifications in this disclosure are intended to be illustrative rather than limiting, and that those skilled in the art will recognize that "one or more" may be used unless the context clearly dictates otherwise.
Referring to fig. 1 to 3, an embodiment of the present disclosure provides a display device 100 including a flexible display panel 110, a connecting member 120, a first support portion 130, a second support portion 140, and an elastic support pad 150. The flexible display panel 110 has a bendable region 111; the connecting member 120 is disposed at one side of the bendable region 111; the first supporting portion 130 and the second supporting portion 140 are respectively connected to two ends of the connecting member 120 for carrying the flexible display panel 110; elastic support pad 150 is disposed between bending region 111 and connecting member 120.
In the present embodiment, the elastic support pad 150 may be stretched and compressed in a radial direction, and thus may be smoothly unfolded or folded following the unfolding or folding of the flexible display panel. It should be noted that the bendable region of the embodiments of the present disclosure may be a part of the flexible display panel or a separate component constituting the flexible display panel, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. In the disclosed embodiment, the connecting member may be a separate connecting member, and both ends of the connecting member are respectively connected to the first supporting portion and the second supporting portion; the connecting piece can also be a part of the first supporting part or the second supporting part; the first supporting portion, the second supporting portion and the connecting member may be independent components, or may be a part of a complete housing, and the disclosure is not limited thereto. In some embodiments, the connecting member 120 may be a hinge or a rotating shaft, and both ends of the connecting member are respectively hinged to the first supporting portion 130 and the second supporting portion 140 to provide the first supporting portion 130 and the second supporting portion 140 with a rotating motion. In some embodiments, the elastic support pad may be made of soft rubber.
Like this, this disclosed embodiment makes flexible display panel not only receive effective support but also avoid the connecting piece to produce the extrusion to flexible display panel at the in-process of buckling through setting up the elasticity supporting pad between flexible display panel and connecting piece folding and the in-process that expandes, still plays waterproof, dirt-proof effect simultaneously.
In some embodiments, the elastic support pad is not under a stress of 0 when the flexible display panel is in the unfolded state. In the embodiment of the present disclosure, when the flexible display panel is in the unfolded state, the stress applied to the elastic support pad is not 0, that is, the elastic support pad is in a stretched and tightened state, so that the elastic support pad can be prevented from being clamped into a gap of a connecting member such as shown in fig. 2 when the flexible display panel is unfolded. Simultaneously, the elastic supporting pad that is in the state of tightening can provide bigger holding power when flexible display panel expandes, can avoid the region of can buckling to produce down couch when user touch operation, and then prevents to reduce user experience, extension display panel's life.
It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present disclosure, that the "flexible display panel is in the unfolded state" means that an included angle formed by extension lines of the first supporting portion and the second supporting portion and not greater than 180 degrees is in a range from 150 degrees to 180 degrees.
Further, in some embodiments, the bendable region has a theoretical equal length layer, and the elastic support pad is disposed between the theoretical equal length layer and the connecting member. In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the "theoretical equal-length layer" refers to a layer with a length unchanged when being unfolded or bent, and is a virtual layer, and the theoretical equal-length layer in the bending region may be located in the bendable region or outside the bendable region. Referring to fig. 2, the theoretical equal-length layer 1111 of the bendable region 111 is located inside the bendable region 111, and when the bendable region is bent downward from the unfolded state shown in fig. 2 to the folded state shown in fig. 3, the cross section of the theoretical equal-length layer 1111 changes from a straight line to a semi-circle, but the length remains unchanged. At this time, as can be seen from the formula related to the concentric circles, the length of the upper surface of the bendable region located above the theoretical equal-length layer in fig. 2 is extended by bending downward, and correspondingly, the length of the lower surface of the bendable region located below the theoretical equal-length layer in fig. 2 is shortened by bending downward. This disclosed embodiment is through setting up the elasticity supporting pad in the below of the equal length layer of theory in the region of can buckling, like this, only need during the equipment be the elasticity supporting pad of natural state at flexible display panel under fold condition, alright be in the state of being stretched promptly in order to make the elasticity supporting pad when flexible panel expandes.
In some embodiments, two ends of the elastic supporting pad are respectively connected with the first supporting portion and the second supporting portion. In the embodiment of the present disclosure, both ends of the elastic supporting pad are connected to the first supporting portion and the second supporting portion, respectively, so that the elastic supporting pad can be unfolded and folded along with the housing.
In some embodiments, the elastic support pad is affixed to the bendable region. It should be noted that the elastic support pad of the embodiment of the present disclosure may be directly attached to the bendable region, or may be indirectly attached to the bendable region by attaching to other components disposed on the bendable region, such as a glue layer, a base layer, etc. In this disclosed embodiment, through making the attached in the region of can buckling of elastic supporting pad, can make the regional influence of avoiding dust, foreign matter, steam towards one side of connecting piece of can buckling, and then can prolong screen life.
Further, referring to fig. 2, in some embodiments, opposite ends of the first supporting portion 130 and the second supporting portion 140 respectively have a first step portion 131 and a second step portion 141, and two ends of the elastic supporting pad are respectively disposed at a side of the first step portion 131 and the second step portion 142 facing the flexible display panel 110. Thus, the elastic supporting pads can be prevented from falling off from the gap clamped between the connecting pieces by arranging the step part supporting elastic supporting pads at the two opposite ends of the first supporting part and the second supporting part.
Referring to fig. 2, the first support part 130 has a first protrusion 132, and the second support part 140 has a second protrusion 142, according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure; the connecting member 120 has a first concave portion 121 coupled to the first convex portion 132 and a second concave portion 122 coupled to the second convex portion 142.
In some embodiments, the theoretical equal length layers of the bendable region overlap the theoretical equal length layers of the connector. In the embodiment of the disclosure, the theoretical equal-length layer of the connecting piece is overlapped with the theoretical equal-length layer of the bendable region, so that the theoretical equal-length layer of the bendable region is not extruded by the connecting piece in the process of unfolding and bending the flexible display panel, and the deformation of the bendable region in the unfolding and bending processes is reduced.
In some embodiments, a side of the resilient support pad facing the attachment member is concave. Thus, the elastic supporting points can be prevented from being clamped into the gap of the connecting piece in the unfolding and bending processes by arranging the surface, facing the connecting piece, of the elastic supporting pad into a concave shape.
