Thus, the following detailed description of the embodiments of the present invention, presented in the figures, is not intended to limit the scope of the invention, as claimed, but is merely representative of selected embodiments of the invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
Some embodiments of the invention are described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The embodiments described below and the features of the embodiments can be combined with each other without conflict.
In the prior art, effective means is lacked for managing printer consumables, for example, for a line marking machine (a thermal printer for printing an electric wire identifier), a user can use the printer as long as the sticker consumables are correctly installed, but the situation that printing cannot be performed due to insufficient stickers is frequently encountered in the use process, the work progress is seriously affected, and much inconvenience is brought to the user. Moreover, the use of pirate consumables cannot be limited under the current use situation, and the pirate consumables cannot guarantee the operation safety of devices such as a printing head and the like in the use process, so that the printer is easily damaged. Accordingly, the present invention is directed to a method for monitoring consumables of a printer to alleviate the above-mentioned problems.
Example one
Fig. 1 is a flowchart of a method for monitoring a consumable part of a printer according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, the method specifically includes the following steps:
and step S102, receiving a printing task under the condition that the lack material prompting signal of the printer consumable is not detected.
Specifically, in order to avoid the problem that the printing operation of a user is affected due to material shortage in the printing process to a certain extent, in the embodiment of the invention, before receiving a printing task, whether a material shortage prompting signal of a printer consumable exists is firstly confirmed, if the material shortage prompting signal exists, the printer is not allowed to receive the printing task, and the smooth operation of the printing task cannot be guaranteed at the moment; the printer is allowed to receive the print job only if the remaining amount of the printer consumables is sufficient (i.e., the out-of-supply prompt signal of the printer consumables is not detected).
In step S104, the target usage amount of the printer supplies is determined based on the print job.
After printing is finished, step S106 is executed, the available amount of the printer consumable is updated based on the target usage amount, and under the condition that the available amount is smaller than the preset threshold value, a material shortage prompting signal of the printer consumable is generated to prompt a user to replace the printer consumable.
After receiving the print task, at first determine the target use amount of printer consumptive material according to the print task, that is, how many printer consumptive materials need be used to current print task, after having executed the print task, update the available quantity of printer consumptive material according to the target use amount of above-mentioned print task consumption, if the available quantity of the printer consumptive material after the update is less than preset threshold value, then generate printer consumptive material scarce material cue signal immediately to the suggestion user changes the printer consumptive material. That is to say, after each printing task is executed, the remaining available amount of the printer consumables is determined to be in shortage, and if the available amount is not enough, the user is prompted to replace the printer consumables in time so as to avoid influencing the next use.
The invention provides a method for monitoring consumable materials of a printer, which comprises the steps of firstly setting a preset condition for receiving a printing task, and only receiving the printing task when a material shortage prompt signal of the consumable materials of the printer is not detected; further, after the printing task is received and printing is completed, the available amount of the printer consumable is updated according to the target usage amount of the printer consumable, if the available amount is smaller than a preset threshold value, a material shortage prompting signal of the printer consumable is generated to prompt a user to replace the printer consumable in time, and therefore the technical problem that printing work is influenced due to untimely replacement of the printer consumable is avoided.
The monitoring method of the printer consumables provided by the embodiment of the invention is theoretically applicable to all printer consumables, and is only required to be used for calculating the target usage amount and updating the available amount of the printer consumables on the basis of the printing task by pre-storing the available amount of the printer consumables and prompting a user to replace the printer consumables when the available amount is insufficient.
In an alternative embodiment, a printer consumable comprises: printing a paster; as shown in fig. 2, the step S104 of determining the target consumption of the printer consumables based on the print job specifically includes the following steps:
step S1041, acquiring a first proportional relationship and a second proportional relationship.
In order to determine the target usage amount of the printed sticker under the current printing task, firstly, acquiring a first proportional relation and a second proportional relation, wherein the first proportional relation represents the proportional relation between the number of printing lines and the number of travelling steps of a printer motor; the second proportional relation represents the proportional relation between the number of the travelling steps of the motor of the printer and the printing length of the printing paster; the first proportional relationship and the second proportional relationship are related to the printer model, and the user needs to determine the proportional relationship of the currently used printer in advance. For example, if the printer prints 1 line with 1 step of motor travel, the first proportional relationship is expressed as 1:1, and if the motor travels 1 step with a print length of the print stamp being 1mm, the second proportional relationship is also expressed as 1: 1.
In step S1042, the number of lines to be printed is determined based on the print job.
And S1043, determining the length to be printed of the printed paster based on the number of lines to be printed, the first proportional relation and the second proportional relation, and taking the length to be printed as the target usage amount of the printer consumables.
In order to calculate the target usage amount of the printed sticker, the number of lines to be printed is first determined based on the print job, and generally, the process of determining the number of lines to be printed is performed by a Central Processing Unit (CPU) of the printer. After the number of lines to be printed is determined, the target step number which needs to be traveled by a printer motor to complete the current printing task can be calculated based on the first proportional relation, and then the length to be printed of a printing sticker needed to complete the current printing task can be calculated by combining the second proportional relation and the target step number.
In an optional embodiment, in the step S106, the updating the available amount of the printer consumables based on the target usage amount specifically includes the following steps:
step S1061, reading the target length stored in the paster encryption chip; wherein the target length represents a current available length of the printed sticker.
Specifically, in order to facilitate the use of the user, the printing sticker in the embodiment of the present invention is provided with a corresponding sticker encryption chip in a matching manner, and the current available length of the printing sticker is stored in the sticker encryption chip. Therefore, even if the user installs the printing sticker on the printer A on the printer B, the assembly is finished, and the printer B communicates with the sticker encryption chip, so that the current available length of the printing sticker can be read smoothly. That is to say, the printed sticker is bound with the sticker encryption chip, the current available length of the printed sticker is stored in the sticker encryption chip, and convenience can be provided for a user to use after the sticker is replaced to a certain extent.
And step S1062, determining the remaining length of the printed paster based on the length to be printed and the target length, taking the remaining length as the available amount of the printer consumables, and sending the available amount of the printer consumables to the paster encryption chip.
In the step S1043, the length to be printed of the printed sticker has been calculated, and in this step, the length to be printed of the printed sticker is subtracted from the target length (the current available length of the printed sticker), so as to obtain the remaining length of the printed sticker, and the remaining length is sent to the sticker encryption chip as the available amount of the printer consumable, thereby completing the monitoring and management of the printed sticker.
In an optional embodiment, the printer consumable is provided with a corresponding encryption chip, and the encryption chip is used for storing the current available amount of the printer consumable and the identity check code of the printer consumable.
According to the above description, when the printer consumable is specifically a printing sticker, in order to facilitate monitoring and management of the printing sticker, the corresponding sticker encryption chip is configured for the printing sticker, and the monitoring design idea is continued. For example. If the consumable of the printer is the toner cartridge, a corresponding toner cartridge encryption chip needs to be set for the toner cartridge to store the current available amount of toner in the toner cartridge.
Furthermore, in order to limit the use of pirated consumables and ensure the legal interests of legal consumable manufacturers, the encryption chip of the printer consumables is used for storing the identity check codes of the printer consumables besides the current available quantity of the printer consumables, and is used for authenticating the identity of the printer consumables.
Specifically, in an alternative embodiment, before receiving a print job, the method of the present invention further comprises the steps of:
step S201, reading the identity check code stored in the encryption chip.
Step S202, judging whether the identity check code is true.
If yes, go to step S203; if the id check code is determined to be false, step S204 is executed.
In step S203, the current available amount stored in the encryption chip is read, and step S205 is executed.
And step S204, generating an illegal access signal of the printer consumables, and refusing to receive the printing task.
In step S205, it is determined whether the current available amount is less than a preset threshold.
If yes, go to step S206; if the current available amount is not less than the preset threshold, step S207 is executed.
And step S206, generating a material shortage prompting signal of the printer consumables.
In step S207, the printer is controlled to be in a print job waiting state.
Based on the above steps S201 to S207, before the printer receives the print job, the identity of the printer consumable item is authenticated, specifically, the identity check code stored in the encryption chip associated with the printer consumable item is read, and whether the identity check code is true or not is judged, if the identity check code is false, the printer consumable item is determined to be a pirate consumable item, at this time, an illegal access signal of the printer consumable item is generated, and the reception of the print job is rejected, so that the operation safety of the printer is ensured, and meanwhile, a guarantee is provided for the rights and interests of a genuine consumable item manufacturer.
Otherwise, if the current available amount is smaller than the preset threshold, generating a lack-of-material prompt signal of the printer consumable to prompt a user to replace the printer consumable; if the available amount is not less than the preset threshold value, which represents that the printer supplies enough materials, the printer can be controlled to be in a waiting printing task state.
In summary, the method for monitoring consumable items of a printer according to the embodiment of the present invention sets a prerequisite condition for receiving a print task: if detecting the lack of material prompting signal of the printer consumable, not allowing the printer to receive the printing task; and after the printing task is completed, the available amount of printer consumables is updated, and a user is prompted to replace the consumables in time when the allowance is insufficient, so that the technical problem that the printing task is influenced due to insufficient allowance of the consumables can be avoided to a certain extent by setting. Furthermore, in order to prevent the use of pirated consumables, the embodiment of the invention provides a printer consumable matched with a corresponding encryption chip, the encryption chip stores an identity check code of the printer consumable, and if the identity check of the printer consumable fails, an illegal access signal of the printer consumable is generated, and the receipt of a printing task is refused.
