(3) obtaining a matching field of the STB identity marking area according to the analyzed directional descriptor; the method comprises the following steps:
if the STB contains the area orientation descriptor, the matching field of the STB identity marking area is an area number stored by the local computer;
if the STB contains the time slot orientation descriptor, the matching field of the STB identity marking area is a stored hardware version number;
if the STB contains the hardware version number directional descriptor, the matching field of the STB identity marking area is a stored software version number;
if the STB contains the software version number directional descriptor, the matching field of the STB identity marking area is a stored STB serial number;
if the STB contains the serial number directional descriptor, the matching field of the STB identity marking area is a stored Ethernet physical address;
if the STB contains the intelligent card number orientation descriptor, the matching field of the STB identity marking area is the stored intelligent card number;
if the STB contains the Ethernet physical address orientation descriptor, the matching field of the STB identity marking area is a stored area number;
(4) if the strategy obtained by analysis is invalid, the strategy does not participate in upgrading judgment; otherwise, the following judgment is carried out:
if the matching field of the stored STB identity marking area is smaller than all the initial description subdata, directional upgrading is needed;
if the matching field of the stored STB identity marking area is less than or equal to all the initial description subdata, directional upgrading is needed;
if the matching field of the stored STB identity marking area is larger than all the end description subdata, directional upgrading is needed;

if the matching field of the stored STB identity marking area is not equal to all the initial description subdata and all the end description subdata, directional upgrading is needed;
if the matching field of the stored STB identity marking area is between all the initial description subdata and all the end description subdata, directional upgrading is needed;
if the matching field of the stored STB identity marking area is between all the initial description subdata and all the end description subdata, directional upgrading is needed;
(5) if the area orientation descriptor is contained and the upgrading strategy corresponding to the orientation upgrading is met,
or contains time period directional descriptors and meets the upgrading strategy corresponding to the directional upgrading,
or contains a hardware version number directional descriptor and meets the upgrading strategy corresponding to the directional upgrading,
or contains a software version number directional descriptor and meets the upgrading strategy corresponding to the directional upgrading,
or contains a serial number directional descriptor and meets the upgrading strategy corresponding to the directional upgrading,
or contains the intelligent card number orientation descriptor and meets the upgrading strategy corresponding to the orientation upgrading,
or contains Ethernet physical address orientation descriptor, and satisfies the corresponding upgrading strategy needing orientation upgrading,
then the system needs to be upgraded directionally, download the upgrade data and restart the system after upgrading is completed;
otherwise, the system enters the application program without directional upgrading.
