Abstract
The invention belongs to the technical field of color master batches, and relates to a black color master batch with metal luster for ABS resin and a preparation method thereof. The black master batch which is used for ABS resin and contains a large amount of graphite powder and has a metallic luster effect can be prepared by a double-screw extruder through optimizing the components of the color master batch and adding the graphite powder twice by using an automatic weightlessness scale, and the black master batch has higher temperature resistance, excellent color stability and higher economic value compared with the traditional metallic luster master batch.
Description
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of color master batches, and relates to a black color master batch with metal luster for ABS resin and a preparation method thereof.
Background
The plastic products prepared from ABS are nontoxic and tasteless, have good comprehensive performance and outstanding impact performance, and are used in large quantities to replace metal materials.
However, the plastic coloring and the color masterbatch preparation have a lot of influencing factors, especially ABS is composed of three components, each component has different refractive indexes, and the development of ABS with uniform color and luster is difficult. There are many determinants affecting the quality of color masterbatch, such as formula components, matrix resin, toner, additives (dispersant, whitener, gloss agent, stabilizer), etc., and there are interactions among the factors, and each factor has influence on chromaticity, color difference, dispersibility, mechanical properties, etc.
The conventional preparation of the black plastic material with metallic luster usually adopts mica pearl powder, metal aluminum powder, carbon black and other raw materials, but the method has high cost, poor temperature resistance and unstable color in actual application, and even can seriously affect the performance of the material, so that processing enterprises at the present stage put higher requirements on the black masterbatch with metallic luster for ABS.

The invention aims to solve the problems in the prior art and provides a black master batch for ABS, which has the advantages of low cost, excellent temperature resistance, small color difference and metallic luster, and a preparation method thereof.
The purpose of the invention can be realized by the following technical scheme: a black master batch with a metallic luster effect for ABS resin comprises the following raw materials in parts by mass: 30-60 parts of AS resin, 35-50 parts of graphite powder, 2-6 parts of carbon black, 2-6 parts of dispersing agent and 2-5 parts of silicone powder.
The graphite is an atomic crystal, a metal crystal anda transition type crystal between molecular crystals. In the crystal, the sp between the carbon atoms of the same layer2Hybridization forms covalent bonds, each carbon atom is connected with three other carbon atoms, six carbon atoms form a regular hexagonal ring on the same plane and stretch to form a lamellar structure. The invention adds a large amount of graphite powder to ensure that master batches have strong metallic luster, and can obtain excellent metallic luster by using a smaller adding proportion in the preparation process of downstream plastic products, thus having good practical economy for the downstream plastic products. Moreover, the processing temperature of ABS plastics is generally above 220 ℃, the processing temperature of some products with complex structures is higher, and compared with the traditional pearl powder and metal aluminum powder, the graphite powder has more excellent temperature resistance and lower price, so that the black master batch with metal luster for ABS has the characteristics of low cost and excellent temperature resistance.
In the black master batch with metal luster for the ABS resin, the particle size of the AS resin is 250-600 mu m, and the melt index is more than 20g/10 min. The AS resin and the ABS have excellent compatibility and good fluidity, the powdery AS resin and the pigment are mixed more uniformly, and the effect of quick melting can be achieved without strong shearing force in the screw melting process, so that the damage of screw shearing on the flaky graphite powder is reduced, and the reduction of the metal luster of master batches is avoided.
In the black master batch with metallic luster for ABS resin, the particle size of the graphite powder is 5-25 μm. The graphite powder with the flake structure has metallic luster, the metallic luster is not obvious when the particle size is too small, the metallic luster of a flicker point generated when the particle size is too large is reduced, and the powder is too fluffy and is not beneficial to processing.
In the black master batch with metallic luster for the ABS resin, the dispersant is one or two of polyethylene wax and ethylene bis stearamide.
In the black master batch with the metal luster effect for the ABS resin, the primary particle size of the carbon black is 50-100nm, and the oil absorption value is less than 75ml/100 g. The coarse grain carbon black of 50-100nm has good dispersion and bright blue phase, and the carbon black basically does not influence the fluidity of the final master batch due to a small oil absorption value.
In the black master batch with metallic luster for the ABS resin, the silicone powder is a mixture of silicone and silicon dioxide in a mass ratio of 1 (1-2). The silicone powder can obviously improve the flow lubricity of the master batch, so that the surface of a final product is smooth, and the welding line on the surface of the product can be reduced in the forming process, so that the product is more attractive.
The invention also provides a preparation method of the black master batch with metallic luster for the ABS resin, which comprises the following steps:
s1: preparing the raw materials;
s2: uniformly mixing AS resin, a dispersing agent, carbon black, silicone powder and 30-40% of graphite powder by using a mixer, putting into a weightlessness scale bin of a main feed, and then putting the rest graphite powder into a weightlessness scale bin of a side feed;
s3: and after discharging in a weightless scale, extruding and granulating in a double-screw extruder to obtain the finished black master batch.
According to the invention, the graphite powder is added twice, a small part of the graphite powder is added firstly, and the rest most of the graphite powder is added, because the graphite powder is easy to slip, the one-time addition of the graphite powder with too high content is not beneficial to the plasticization of the screw to the raw material, and if the screw thread original piece needs to be sheared more strongly, the flaky graphite powder is easily sheared, so that the metallic luster effect of the finished color master batch is reduced. In the invention, part of graphite powder is added into an extruder through a side feed, the rest raw materials are uniformly mixed through a low-speed mixer and added from a main feed, and the two parts of materials enter a double-screw mode through an automatic weightlessness scale for extrusion granulation.
In the preparation method of the black master batch with metal luster for the ABS resin, the stirring speed of the S2 stirrer is 200-300r/min, and the stirring time is 3-5 min.
In the preparation method of the black master batch with the metal luster for the ABS resin, the heating and melting temperature is 200-220 ℃ and the double-screw rotating speed is 250-300r/min in the S3 extrusion granulation process.
Compared with the prior art, the invention has the following beneficial effects:
1. the black master batch which is used for ABS resin and contains a large amount of graphite powder and has a metallic luster effect can be prepared by a double-screw extruder through optimizing the components of the color master batch and adding the graphite powder twice by using an automatic weightlessness scale, and the black master batch has higher temperature resistance, excellent color stability and higher economic value compared with the traditional metallic luster master batch;
2. the preparation method is simple, has low raw material cost and is suitable for large-scale industrial production;
3. the downstream end product prepared by the method has the advantages of good metal glossiness, small welding line and the like.
Detailed Description
The following are specific examples of the present invention and further describe the technical solutions of the present invention, but the present invention is not limited to these examples.
Example 1:
preparing the following raw materials in parts by mass: 53 parts of AS resin, 3 parts of polyethylene wax, 2 parts of silicone powder, 2 parts of carbon black and 40 parts of graphite powder; the average grain diameter of the AS resin is 300 mu m, and the melt index is 25g/10 min; the average grain diameter of the graphite powder is 10 mu m; the particle size of the carbon black is 80nm, and the oil absorption value is 70ml/100 g; the silicone powder is a mixture of silicone and silicon dioxide in a mass ratio of 1: 1.
The AS powder, the dispersing agent, the carbon black, the silicone powder and 40% of graphite powder are uniformly mixed by a mixer, the mixing speed is 250r/min, and the mixing time is 4 min. Then, the graphite powder is put into a weightless scale bin with main feeding, and the residual graphite powder is put into a weightless scale bin with side feeding;
after the two parts of raw materials are discharged in a weightless scale, the two parts of raw materials simultaneously enter a double-screw extruder for extrusion granulation to obtain a finished product of black master batch; the heating and melting temperature in the extrusion granulation process is 210 ℃, and the rotating speed of the twin-screw is 280 r/min.
Example 2:
preparing the following raw materials in parts by mass: 59 parts of AS resin, 2 parts of ethylene bis-hard amide, 2 parts of silicone powder, 2 parts of carbon black and 35 parts of graphite powder; the average grain diameter of the AS resin is 250 mu m, and the melt index is 25g/10 min; the average grain diameter of the graphite powder is 20 mu m; the particle size of the carbon black is 50nm, and the oil absorption value is 70ml/100 g; the silicone powder is a mixture of silicone and silicon dioxide in a mass ratio of 1: 2.
The AS powder, the dispersing agent, the carbon black, the silicone powder and 30% of graphite powder are uniformly mixed by a mixer, the mixing speed is 200r/min, and the mixing time is 3 min. Then, the graphite powder is put into a weightless scale bin with main feeding, and the residual graphite powder is put into a weightless scale bin with side feeding;
after the two parts of raw materials are discharged in a weightless scale, the two parts of raw materials simultaneously enter a double-screw extruder for extrusion granulation to obtain a finished product of black master batch; the heating and melting temperature in the extrusion granulation process is 200 ℃, and the rotating speed of the double screw is 250 r/min.
Example 3:
preparing the following raw materials in parts by mass: 33 parts of AS resin, 6 parts of ethylene bis-hard amide, 5 parts of silicone powder, 6 parts of carbon black and 50 parts of graphite powder; the average grain diameter of AS resin is 600 μm, and the melt index is 30g/10 min; the average grain diameter of the graphite powder is 25 mu m; the particle size of the carbon black is 100nm, and the oil absorption value is 70ml/100 g; the silicone powder is a mixture of silicone and silicon dioxide in a mass ratio of 1: 2.
The AS powder, the dispersing agent, the carbon black, the silicone powder and 35% of graphite powder are uniformly mixed by a mixer, the mixing speed is 300r/min, and the mixing time is 5 min. Then, the graphite powder is put into a weightless scale bin with main feeding, and the residual graphite powder is put into a weightless scale bin with side feeding;
after the two parts of raw materials are discharged in a weightless scale, the two parts of raw materials simultaneously enter a double-screw extruder for extrusion granulation to obtain a finished product of black master batch; the heating and melting temperature in the extrusion granulation process is 220 ℃, and the rotating speed of the twin-screw is 300 r/min.
Example 4:
the difference from example 1 is only that graphite powder is mixed with other raw materials at one time and is put into a weightless balance bin of a main feed.
Example 5:
the only difference from example 1 is that the amount of graphite powder mixed with other raw materials charged into the weigh-loss bin of the main feed was 60%.

7. A method for preparing a black master batch having metallic luster for ABS resin according to claim 1, wherein the method comprises the steps of:
s1: preparing the feedstock of claim 1;
s2: uniformly mixing AS resin, a dispersing agent, carbon black, silicone powder and 30-40% of graphite powder by using a mixer, putting into a weightlessness scale bin of a main feed, and then putting the rest graphite powder into a weightlessness scale bin of a side feed;
s3: and after discharging in a weightless scale, extruding and granulating in a double-screw extruder to obtain the finished black master batch.
