Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to fragrance-spreading products and methods for making the same, and more particularly, to a product for regulating fragrance evaporation and a method for making the same.
Background
Fragrance spreading articles are used to absorb and emit fragrance materials into the surrounding atmosphere. The product fibers of the matrix material or structure thereof of these products contain porosity therebetween, and the product fibers or bodies of the matrix material or structure thereof contain porosity therebetween, which may affect the rate at which the fragrance is absorbed or the amount that can be loaded, or may affect the rate at which the fragrance is released.
While in some of the former cases, such as where the matrix material of the fragrance spreading article or the structural component of the article absorbs fragrance material and remains in the pores, these fragrance materials often have the problem of being volatilized/evaporated very rapidly, especially in compositions containing more volatile compounds, such as fragrance products containing top notes, where the fragrance material is released largely and rapidly in the early stages of use of the article, and it is difficult to provide a long lasting and stable fragrance release under the same fragrance loading and characteristics; for this reason, commercially available fragrance spreading articles such as fragrance spreading paper sticks are often coated on their outside with a layer of coating material; for example, in U.S. publication No. 2011/02623, coatings are disclosed to retard volatile materials, but these coating layers also tend to absorb the volatile materials into the coating, and the coating application also reduces the effective connectivity of the volatile materials released out of the pores of the paper stick, once the volatile material concentration in the interior of the product reaches equilibrium, there will no longer be sufficient concentration to drive the release of the volatile materials through the coating.
In addition, the paper or the structural member thereof formed by the paper pulp through the manufacturing process usually contains some extra water or capillary water, etc., which occupies the pores or the surface of the paper or the structural member thereof of the matrix material to influence the absorption and the loading amount of the aromatic substances, etc.
Meanwhile, although the aromatic substance absorption rate, the loading coefficient or the release rate of the paper substrate material or the structural member thereof may be better than the common fiber, porous plastic or polymer, gypsum or wood and other substrate materials, the paper material is easy to be wetted and not waterproof, the bonding force between the bonds of the substrate material is reduced, the paper material is easy to disintegrate, and particularly after the slender paper rod product absorbs the liquid aromatic substance, the strength of the substrate material is influenced integrally.
