Description

Valve rod protective sleeve
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of protective sleeves, in particular to a valve rod protective sleeve.
Background
Valves are plumbing accessories used to open and close a pipe, control flow direction, regulate and control parameters of the transport medium (temperature, pressure and flow). According to their function, they can be classified into shut-off valves, check valves, regulating valves, and the like. The valve is a control part in a fluid conveying system and has the functions of stopping, adjusting, guiding, preventing counter flow, stabilizing pressure, shunting or overflowing and relieving pressure and the like. Valves used in fluid control systems range in variety and size from the simplest shut-off valves to the variety of valves used in extremely complex autonomous systems.
In actual production operation, the environment of some valves is poor, and particularly, the manual valve is of an open-stem type. The valve rod is exposed outside for a long time, and is easy to rust when being blown by wind and rain, so that the valve is inflexible to close and even blocked. A common solution to this problem is to use a sleeve that is directly sleeved over the sleeve. This approach has several drawbacks. One is as follows: the opening degree of the valve cannot be seen, and if the valve is blocked, an operator cannot know whether the valve is in place or jammed. The second is that: the sleeve has no problem in the fully-opened state of the valve, the sleeve can be sleeved on the valve rod, but when the sleeve is fully closed, the valve rod positioned on the outer side of the hand wheel of the valve is shortened, and therefore the sleeve can easily fall off from the valve rod.

It should be noted that the terms "first," "second," and the like in the description and claims of the present invention and in the drawings described above are used for distinguishing between similar elements and not necessarily for describing a particular sequential or chronological order. It is to be understood that the data so used may be interchanged under appropriate circumstances in order to facilitate the description of the embodiments of the invention herein. Furthermore, the terms "comprises," "comprising," and "having," and any variations thereof, are intended to cover a non-exclusive inclusion, such that a process, method, system, article, or apparatus that comprises a list of steps or elements is not necessarily limited to those steps or elements expressly listed, but may include other steps or elements not expressly listed or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus.
The present invention provides a valve stem boot, as shown in fig. 1, comprising: a protective tube 10, a short tube 30 and a locking nut 40. The protective tube 10, the short tube 30 and the locking nut 40 are coaxially arranged.
Wherein, the protection tube 10 is hollow and at least one end is provided with an opening. If the protective tube 10 is provided with an opening only at one end, its other end is closed. If both ends of the protection tube 10 are provided with openings, a closed structure (as shown in fig. 3) is arranged at one of the openings, and only one opening is left open. The protection tube 10 is partially or entirely made of a transparent material, so that a worker can observe the opening degree of the valve through the protection tube 10 and judge the current state of the valve, such as in place or jammed. The transparent material can be transparent acrylic or transparent toughened glass. In the invention, two such closure structures are provided. The first is a hemispherical end cap integrally formed with the protective tube 10. A second type of cork (as shown in figure 4). The soft plug can ensure the sealing performance of the protection tube 10, prevent rainwater from entering the corrosion valve rod, and can be detachably connected with the protection tube 10. The soft plug can be made of wood material or rubber material.
The short pipe 30 is disposed at one end of the protection pipe 10 having an opening, and an observation window 31 (as shown in fig. 2) is disposed on a circumferential side wall of the short pipe 30, through which the inside of the short pipe 30 can be observed, and the design of the protection pipe 10 ensures that the position of the valve stem can be seen all the way. In a preferred embodiment, as shown in fig. 2, the number of said observation windows 31 is three, and three of said observation windows 31 are rotationally symmetrical about the axis of said short pipe 30. This ensures that the valve stem is still visible to the bottom. Preferably, the viewing window 31 extends in the axial direction of the short tube 30, so that the valve stem can be seen more fully. The short tube 30 may be made of a metal material, such as iron, copper, or an aluminum alloy.
The locking nut 40 is provided at the other end of the short pipe 30 connected to the protective pipe 10. The lock nut 40 and the short tube 30 may be connected together by welding or may be integrally formed.
Therefore, based on the arrangement of the protection tube 10, the problems that the valve is not flexible to be locked and even blocked due to the fact that the valve rod is exposed outside and corroded can be effectively solved; based on the fact that the protection tube 10 is made of transparent materials, the opening degree of the valve can be observed, and the current state of the valve can be judged. Based on the arrangement of the short pipe 30 and the locking nut 40, the protection pipe 10 can be connected to the hand wheel 60 of the valve, so that the protection pipe 10 can rotate along with the hand wheel 60, and the protection pipe 10 is prevented from falling off from the valve rod.
In the above, the connection relationship between the short pipe 30 and the protection pipe 10 may be a threaded connection or a plug connection.
The threaded connection may be achieved by providing an external thread on an inner wall of the short pipe 30 and providing an internal thread adapted to the external thread on an outer wall of an end of the protection pipe 10 connected to the short pipe 30, so as to achieve the threaded connection between the protection pipe 10 and the short pipe 30.
The plugging mode can be realized by the following three structures:
the first embodiment is as follows: one end of the protection tube 10 is inserted into the short tube 30 and the outer wall of the protection tube 10 is closely attached to the inner wall of the short tube 30.
The second embodiment is as follows: one end of the protection tube 10 is sleeved outside the short tube 30, and the outer wall of the short tube 30 is tightly attached to the inner wall of the protection tube 10.
The third concrete implementation mode: an annular groove 32 is formed in the side wall of the short pipe 30 facing one end of the protection pipe 10, one end of the protection pipe 10 is inserted into the annular groove 32, and the inner wall and the outer wall of the protection pipe are tightly attached to the inner walls of the two sides of the annular groove 32.
The above three embodiments are all to achieve the connection between the short pipe 30 and the protective pipe 10 by the frictional force generated between the protective pipe 10 and the short pipe 30. The connection mode of the plug connection has the advantages that the short pipe 30 and the protection pipe 10 can be detached and are convenient to carry. Of course, the connection between the short tube 30 and the protective tube 10 can also be achieved by interference fit.
In addition, a preferred connection between the protective tube 10 and the short tube 30 is provided. Specifically, as shown in fig. 5 and 6, an annular limiting groove 11 is provided in a side wall of the short pipe 30 facing one end of the protective pipe 10; the opening edge of one end of the protection tube 10 connected with the short tube 30 is provided with a projection 50 (shown in fig. 7 and 8) having the same shape as the annular limiting groove 11. The projection 50 can be inserted into the annular limiting groove 11, and the annular limiting groove 11 can limit the reverse movement of the projection 50, i.e. the projection 50 is difficult to pull out once inserted into the annular limiting groove 11. As shown in fig. 8, the bump 50 includes a connection portion 51 and a hook portion 52; one end of the connecting part 51 is connected with the protective tube 10, the other end is connected with the hook part 52, and the connecting part 51 is gradually narrowed from top to bottom; the hook 52 has an inverted trapezoidal longitudinal section. It should be noted that at least one of the protrusion 50 and the annular restraining groove 11 has a certain deformation capability, so that the protrusion 50 can be inserted into the annular restraining groove 11, for example, the protrusion 50 is made of plastic.
Furthermore, if the diameter of the protective tube 10 is larger than that of the valve copper nut, the entire protective tube 10 looks too large and is not aesthetically pleasing in appearance, in view of aesthetic problems. The protective tube 10 is beautiful if it has a small diameter. But will jam on top of the copper nut 70 and the locking nut 40 will not be able to secure the hand wheel 60. Therefore, the inventor designs the locking nut 40 to be thickened, and ensures that the thickness of the locking nut 40 after being locked is flush with that of the copper nut, so that the attractiveness can be improved by adopting a sleeve with a smaller diameter.
The working principle of the invention is briefly explained as follows:
as shown in fig. 9, the handwheel 60 is fixedly connected with the copper nut 70, and the handwheel 60 is sleeved outside the copper nut 70; the hand wheel 60 is in threaded connection with the screw rod 80, the copper nut 70 is in threaded connection with the screw rod 80, and the outer peripheral surface of the copper nut 70 is provided with threads matched with the locking nut 40. When the screw 80 needs to be protected, the screw 80 is inserted into the protection tube 10, the protection lock nut 40 is rotated, and the lock nut 40 is assembled to the copper nut 70 and tightened. Thus, when the handwheel 60 is rotated, the valve stem protection sleeve of the present invention will also rotate. Even if the screw 80 is shortened, the protective tube 10 does not fall off. Based on the arrangement of the protection tube 10, the problems that the valve is not flexible to close and even blocked due to the fact that the valve rod is exposed outside and corroded can be effectively solved; based on the fact that the protection tube 10 is made of transparent materials, the opening degree of the valve can be observed, and the current state of the valve can be judged.
The preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail, however, the present invention is not limited to the specific details of the above embodiments, and various simple modifications may be made to the technical solution of the present invention within the technical idea of the present invention, and these simple modifications are within the protective scope of the present invention.
It should be noted that the various features described in the above embodiments may be combined in any suitable manner without departing from the scope of the invention. The invention is not described in detail in order to avoid unnecessary repetition.
In addition, any combination of the various embodiments of the present invention is also possible, and the same should be considered as the disclosure of the present invention as long as it does not depart from the spirit of the present invention.
