Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a catalyst packaging device, and belongs to the technical field of engine tail gas aftertreatment.
Background
Referring to fig. 1, the prior art generally adopts the manufacturing method of plugging a carrier 1 ' and a gasket 2 ' into a shell 3 ', then reducing and shaping the packaging shell 3 ' by a shaping machine, and finally welding an end cone 4 ' at one end of the packaging shell to carry out catalyst packaging. The mating of the housing 3 'and the end cone 4' is usually performed in an intercalated manner (e.g. inserting the housing 3 'into the end cone 4' or inserting the end cone 4 'into the housing 3').
Since the shell 3 'and the end cone 4' need to be welded in the welding fitting area 5 'for the entire circumference after insertion, the end cone 4' and the shell 3 'have enough welding area 6'. To ensure that the length of the weld zone 6' is sufficient, it is often necessary to employ a flaring or necking process to ensure a full circumferential diametric dimensional tolerance of the profile to ensure a weld fit. In addition, a transition region 8 ' remains between the reshaping region 7 ' and the welding region 6 ', which inevitably results in an increase in the overall length of the catalyst package. The welding and the manufacture of the end cone require a great deal of time and cost, and the welded part is easy to fail, thereby affecting the durability of the product.

Detailed Description
Referring to fig. 2 and 3, the present invention discloses a catalyst package 100, which includes a housing 1 and a catalyst carrier 2 enclosed in the housing 1. The housing 1 includes a cylindrical enclosure portion 11 and an end cone 12 integrally extending from the enclosure portion 11. The packing portion 11 is provided with an opening 111 extending opposite to the end cone 12, and the catalyst carrier 2 is inserted into the packing portion 111 from the opening 111 through the gasket 3. The end cone 12 may be disposed at either the inlet end or the outlet end. After the catalyst carrier 2 wrapped with the mat 3 is inserted into the packing portion 111, the shaping region (i.e., the region where the packing portion 11 is located) can be shaped by the shaping device to control the GBD.
The housing 1 is provided with an axis 112, and the length of the mat 3 along the axis 112 is smaller than the length of the catalyst carrier 2 along the axis 112. Both ends of the catalyst carrier 2 extend beyond the mat 3 along the axis 112, respectively. The catalyst support body 2 does not extend into the end cone 12.
The end cone 12 comprises a first conical section 121 and a second conical section 122 connected to the first conical section 121, wherein the slope K1 of the first outer surface 1211 of the first conical section 121 is greater than the slope K2 of the second outer surface 1221 of the second conical section 122. So configured, through this transition, the manufacture of the end cone 12 is facilitated. Furthermore, in the illustrated embodiment of the invention, the first conical section 121 is connected to the encapsulation 11. The end cone 12 further comprises a cylindrical section 123 connected to the second conical section 122, the axis 1231 of the cylindrical section 123 overlapping the axis 112 of the enclosure 11.
In one embodiment of the invention, the end cone 12 is made by stamping or spinning. The end cone 12 is provided with a mounting bevel 124 for welding a mounting seat (not shown). The welding installation seat can be a sensor installation seat or a nozzle installation seat and the like according to different application requirements. The mounting ramp 124 is provided with a through-hole 1241 so that a corresponding element can extend from the through-hole 1241 into the end cone 12.
Compared with the prior art, the packaging part 11 and the end cone 12 are of an integrated structure (namely a part), welding between the packaging part and the end cone is omitted, welding procedures and welding equipment investment are saved, and the packaging part is easy to manufacture. In addition, the end cone 12 and the packaging part 11 which are integrated only control the shaping of GBD in one step, welding is not needed, necking or flaring of a welding area is not needed, a transition area is not needed, the design space is saved, and the length of the integrated shell 1 can be shortened.
The above embodiments are only for illustrating the invention and not for limiting the technical solutions described in the invention, and the understanding of the present specification should be based on the technical personnel in the field, and although the present specification has described the invention in detail with reference to the above embodiments, the technical personnel in the field should understand that the technical personnel in the field can still make modifications or equivalent substitutions to the present invention, and all the technical solutions and modifications thereof without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention should be covered in the claims of the present invention.
