Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to an electric barbecue device, which comprises a shell with an open upper part, at least one electric heating body arranged above a drip tray and used for heating barbecue objects, a barbecue grill or a similar barbecue object support covering the heating body, the housing has a drip tray for receiving juice dripping from the barbecued item and for receiving water, wherein a connecting device is arranged on the housing, which connecting device can be connected to an electrical network and by means of which the power of at least one heating body can be adjusted, wherein furthermore a temperature probe is mounted on the housing and projects into said housing, which temperature probe is connected to the power regulating part, wherein the housing has a cover that can be placed in an open position and a closed position in which the grilling surface of the housing is exposed or covered.
Background
Such grilling apparatuses are known in the prior art. A particular problem arises in that, when such a grilling appliance is in operation and when the lid is closed (which is desirable for different cooking processes), the temperature at the outside of the lid rises to an inadmissibly high level. Thus, for example, in a grilling apparatus with a plastic housing, the external temperature of the housing is not allowed to exceed a temperature of about 90 ℃. In a barbecue apparatus made of metal, the temperature of the housing is not allowed to exceed 70 ℃. It is virtually unmonitorable and uncertain to the user whether it moves within or outside the allowed tolerance range, so that continuous temperature measurements must be taken on the housing of the lid as long as the lid is closed. This problem does not occur when the lid is opened, since the temperature generated by the heating body or bodies can be dissipated without damage.
The housing is open at the top and is designed in the form of a basin.
Disclosure of Invention
Starting from the prior art, the object of the present invention is to provide an electric grilling apparatus of the type in which overheating of the cover, in particular of its outer side, can be avoided when the cover is closed and when the grilling apparatus is in operation.
In order to solve this object, it is proposed that a switch is connected to the power regulation of the connecting device, the switch being mounted in or on the housing and the switch interacting with an actuating element (Bet ä tigngtail) mounted on or in the cover, wherein the switch is not actuated when the cover is in the open position and the power regulation is not influenced by the switch, and wherein the switch is actuated by the actuating element when the cover is in the closed position and the at least one heating body is switched off, or the power of the heating body is limited by the power regulation in such a way that a maximum permissible temperature is not exceeded.
According to this solution, on the one hand, a switch is arranged on or in the housing, which switch is connected to the power regulation of the one or more electric heaters. Normally, the switch is closed or in any case not actuated, so that the electric barbecue apparatus can be operated in a conventional manner and the (einstellen) heating body can be set accordingly.
There is a counterpart to the switch on the lid which activates or actuates the switch when the lid is in the closed position. In this position, the actuating member on or mounted on the cover is arranged such that it can influence the power regulating part with the switch fixed on the housing. If the cover is closed, the at least one heating body is switched off by means of a combination of a switch and an actuating element, or preferably, however, the power of the heating body is limited by a power regulator in such a way that the maximum permissible temperature is not exceeded. The power of the heating body can be limited in that, when the switch is actuated, a control signal is transmitted to the power control, by means of which the power is set to a maximum permissible temperature value independently of the preset power. The regulation of the power of the electric heater or heaters is thus effected within a desired range by means of a switch.
Preferably, provision is made for a reflector which faces the at least one heating body in the closed position of the cover to be arranged in the cover.
The reflector is advantageous for the purpose of, on the one hand, shielding the inside of the cover against the radiation heat of the electric heating body in the closed position. Furthermore, the reflector is advantageous, since the cooking of the barbecue is thereby positively influenced even when the cover is closed.
One possible variant consists in that the housing is made of metal.
An alternative embodiment is that the housing is made of a temperature-stable plastic.
For example, glass fiber-reinforced polyamides are conceivable as plastics. The metal casing is often coated with enamel on the inside.
Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the cover is made of metal.
It is particularly preferably provided that the cover is made of a temperature-stable plastic.
The design made of plastic results in a relatively light cover in particular. Furthermore, the production of the cover from plastic allows a plurality of design possibilities, which are not possible with covers made from metal.
Furthermore, it is preferably provided that two electric heaters are arranged in the housing.
In this case, it is particularly preferably provided that the first heating body has a power of 2000 watts, which is designed for a maximum temperature of 300 ℃ to 360 ℃, and the second heating body has a power of 1000 watts, so that the total power is designed for temperatures of up to 500 ℃, wherein the second heating body is switched off by means of a switch in the closed position of the cover.
Thus, when the cover is opened, the electric barbecue apparatus can be operated with a corresponding power with which temperatures up to 500 ℃ can be reached. As soon as the cover is moved into the closed position, the second heating body is preferably switched off by means of a switch, so that the second heating body can no longer take part in heating. The temperature generated by the first heating body is about 300 ℃ to 360 ℃. As a result, this results in the external temperature of the lid made of plastic not exceeding 90 ℃ when plastic is used. In embodiments where the lid is made of metal, it is thereby ensured that the external temperature at the exterior face of the lid does not exceed about 70 ℃. The corresponding design, in particular the arrangement of the cover-actuated switch, ensures that incorrect operation by the user is precluded to the greatest possible extent.
Preferably, it is also provided that the connection device has a display device for displaying the temperature set on the power regulator.
It can also be provided that the connecting device has a display device for displaying the temperature measured by the temperature probe.
With this configuration, it is possible for the user to detect the set temperature on the one hand and to know the temperature actually detected by the temperature detector on the other hand.
In particular, it is preferably provided that the power regulation of the connection device comprises an electronic control device with a memory module, wherein the power regulation takes place via a control button arranged on the connection device, via a contactless control element or wirelessly, wherein the power switching, switching off and limiting takes place with the aid of the control device when the cover is closed.
In addition, it is provided that a predetermined temperature is stored in the memory module, to which temperature the at least one heating element is set when the cover is closed.
In this way, for example, a maximum permissible temperature can be predefined for a closed cover, so that it is not influenced by the user. If the user uses the electric barbecue apparatus and closes the lid, the power of the heating body or bodies is adjusted so as not to exceed a preset temperature corresponding to the maximum allowable temperature.
Provision is preferably made for the switch to be designed as a contactless switch or as a contact switch (sensor switch) or as a magnetic switch.
There is no danger in such switches of damaging or breaking the switch or its elements when the grilling apparatus is in use. In this case, a magnetic switch is particularly advantageous, since it is not sensitive to mechanical damage and is not damaged even in the corresponding temperature range of the grilling apparatus.
In this case, it is preferably provided that the switch is inserted into the housing while being covered by a wall element of the housing, and the actuating element is arranged in the cover while being covered by a cover component.
This measure also serves to protect the switch and the actuating member from mechanical damage.
Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the cover is pivotably held on the housing about the housing edge.
The cover is thereby held captive on the housing and can be easily adjusted into the open and closed position.
In this case, it is preferably provided that the cover is hinged to the housing by means of a hinge.
Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the switch and the actuating element are integrated into the hinge.
This installation situation results in that it is virtually impossible for the user to actuate the switches and/or actuating components, since they are covered and protected by the hinge and the user does not have access to the actuation.
A preferred method for operating an electric barbecue apparatus according to any of the preceding subject claims is that when the lid is open, the power is set by means of a power regulator and the current temperature and/or the set target temperature is displayed, and when the lid is closed, either the power is switched off or the power is limited to a preset maximum power stored in a memory module.
A further development consists in that the power which is limited when the lid is closed is reset after the lid has been opened again, either by means of a power regulator or automatically to the power which was set before the opening of the lid, and this power is stored in a memory module of the electronic control device before the closing of the lid.
Furthermore, it is provided that the actual temperature in the grilling appliance is detected and the detected temperature value is read into a memory module, where it is compared with a set temperature value and used for power regulation of the power regulator.
The preferred method is carried out in such a way that when the cover is closed, for example, the temperature value stored in the memory module has priority over the set temperature value, so that the temperature of the grilling apparatus can only be raised in such a way that the risk of overheating is avoided. For this, for example, one of the two heating bodies can be switched off. However, it is also possible to switch off two heating bodies or, if only one heating body is provided, the one heating body, the power of which is set by the temperature value stored in the memory module.
Thus, when the lid is in the closed position, the preset temperature is set to the stored nominal value. After opening the lid, the nominal value is kept set. Alternatively, the user must then manually re-perform the power regulation of the heating body.
Alternatively, however, if a corresponding storage of the temperature values set earlier is made in the memory module, it is also possible to set the temperature preset in the memory module with the lid closed and to reach the earlier preset temperature again after opening the lid.
Preferably, an NTC probe can be provided as a temperature probe, which reacts quickly and enables a quick adjustment of the temperature when the cover is closed.
Drawings
Embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawings and described in detail below.
In which is shown:
figure 1 shows a view of an electric barbecue apparatus with the lid portion open;
fig. 2 shows a variant in a side view when the lid is open.
Detailed Description
In the drawings there is shown an electric barbecue apparatus comprising a housing 1 with a drip tray 2 for containing juice dripping from the barbecue and for containing water. In the present exemplary embodiment, two electric heaters 3, 4 are arranged in the housing 1 above the drip plate 2, which are used for heating the barbecue. Furthermore, a grill 5 is shown covering the heating bodies 3, 4. A connecting device 6 is arranged on the housing 1 and can be connected to the mains by means of a cable 7. The power of the heating bodies can be adjusted by means of the connecting device, for which purpose a rotary knob 8 is provided on the connecting device, by means of which rotary knob the power of the two heating bodies 3, 4 is switched on and adjusted.
Furthermore, a temperature probe 9, preferably an NTC element, is provided, by means of which the temperature in the grilling apparatus is detected.
The housing 1 has a cover 10 which can be placed in an open position and a closed position. The semi-open position is shown in fig. 1, while the fully open position of the grilling apparatus is shown in fig. 2.
According to the invention, a switch 11 mounted in the housing 1 is connected to the power regulating part of the connecting device 6. Which switch cooperates with an actuating member 12 mounted on the cover 10. Thereby, the switch 11 is not actuated when the cover 10 is in the open position and is not influenced by the actuating member 12. If the cover 10 is set to the closed position, the power regulation of the electric heating bodies 3, 4 of the grilling device is influenced, for example, by switching off the heating bodies or by limiting the power of both heating bodies by means of a preset power regulation, in order not to exceed a maximum permissible temperature which would lead to an undesirably high temperature on the outside of the cover 10.
In the cover 10, a reflector 13 is arranged facing the heating bodies 3, 4 in the closed position of the cover 10. The housing 1 is preferably made of metal or also of plastic which is temperature-stable. The cover 10 is likewise made of metal or preferably of temperature-stable plastic. For example and preferably, the cover 10 may be constructed of glass fiber reinforced polyamide. By using plastic, design versatility is increased and the weight of the grilling apparatus is reduced.
In a preferred embodiment, for example, the first heating body 3 is designed for a heating power of 2000 watts, which is sufficient for a maximum temperature of approximately 300 ℃ to 360 ℃. Thus, the adjustment may be performed in the range from 0 ℃ to about 360 ℃. The second heating body 4 is provided for increasing the heating power, so that a higher heating power of 3000 watts in total can then be applied, which is sufficient for temperatures up to 500 ℃. Preferably, this arrangement is such that the second heating body 4 is switched off by means of the switch 11 when the lid 10 is in the closed position.
The connection device 6 can have a display for displaying a figure for the temperature set at the power regulator and/or a display for displaying a figure for the temperature actually measured by the temperature probe 9.
The power regulation of the connection device 6, which can be performed, for example, via a control button 8 on the connection device 6, comprises an electronic control device with a memory module.
In which form the actuation of the power adjustment is essentially equally effective, wherein both a contactless adjustment element and a wireless actuation can be realized.
By means of the control means provided, power conversion, switching off and power limitation are carried out when the cover 10 is closed.
In the memory module, for example, a preset maximum temperature can be stored, to which the heating body 3 or 4 in operation is set when the cover is closed. This preset temperature cannot be changed by the user but is stored fixedly by the manufacturer.
The switch 11 can be designed as a contactless switch or as a contact switch (sensor switch) or also as a magnetic switch, wherein the actuating part is designed accordingly, i.e. designed and intended for communication with the switch 11. As shown in fig. 1, the switch 11 is housed in the housing 1 while being covered by a wall member of the housing, and the actuating member 12 is arranged or housed while being covered by a cover component at an edge of the cover 10.
The cover 10 is held on the housing 1 in a pivotable manner about the housing edge, as can be seen in fig. 1 and 2. The feature in fig. 2 is that the cover 10 is hinged to the housing 1 by means of a hinge 14. This feature enables the switch 11 and the actuating member 12 to be fitted into the hinge 14 positionally correctly, so that they are not manoeuvrable, but nevertheless function well.
A method for operating the electric barbecue apparatus proceeds substantially as follows:
when the lid 10 is open, the power of the electric heaters 3, 4 is set by means of the power regulator 6 and, if necessary, the current temperature and/or the set target temperature is displayed at the power regulator. When the cover 10 is closed, the power of the heating body is cut off, i.e. the heating body is placed in currentless condition, or the power of the electric heating bodies 3, 4 is limited to a predetermined maximum power stored in the memory module. It is thereby achieved that the housing of the lid 10 is not heated above an allowable temperature.
Preferably, the power limited when the lid 10 is closed can be reset by means of the power regulator 6 after reopening the lid 10, since the power regulator 6 does not store the preset temperature. Alternatively, the power (temperature) set before opening the cover 10 may be stored in the memory module, so that the temperature set before opening the cover 10 is preserved and stored in the memory module. In this case, when the lid 10 is opened by recalling the power set before opening the lid 10, the power can then be increased again automatically accordingly.
Furthermore, the actual temperature in the grilling appliance is detected by a corresponding measuring probe 9, and the detected temperature value can be read into the memory module and compared there with the set temperature value, wherein it is thus used for power regulation of the power regulator.
The present invention is not limited to this embodiment, but has various variations within the scope of the disclosure.
All novel individual and combined features disclosed in the description and/or the drawings are to be regarded as essential to the invention.
