Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of servers, and more particularly, to a fan module and a server including the same.
Background
Due to the diversification of functional requirements, servers and memory products need to be configured in a diversified manner. Under different collocation conditions, the requirements of the whole machine on heat dissipation cannot be completely kept consistent, and under ideal conditions, the server chassis can preferably replace fans of different specifications for different configurations. The existing technical scheme mainly has two directions, the first direction is for the case that 1U (U is a unit for representing the external dimension of the server, and 1U is 44.45mm) and 2U chassis share a motherboard, 8pcs 4056 fans can be installed by installing 8pcs fan connectors on the motherboard (fans of different sizes generally use the external dimension as the name, for example, a fan with a length and a width of 40mm and a thickness of 56mm, and are represented as 4056 fans), and on a 2U chassis, 4pcs 8056 fans can be installed by dislocation installation, so that the compatibility of the fans is realized, and the second direction is for the case of the same height chassis, for example, fans of two specifications of 8038/8056 can be compatible inside a general 2U server, so that the requirements of different configurations are met. However, the prior art cannot simultaneously accommodate and switch fans of width 40/60/80.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of this, an embodiment of the present invention provides a fan module and a server capable of being compatible with fan modules of different specifications, in which a detachable and adjustable fan connector bracket is mainly used to cooperate with a motherboard connector disposed on a motherboard, so that the server is compatible with fan modules of different specifications.

It should be noted that all expressions using "first" and "second" in the embodiments of the present invention are used for distinguishing two entities with the same name but different names or different parameters, and it should be noted that "first" and "second" are merely for convenience of description and should not be construed as limitations of the embodiments of the present invention, and they are not described in any more detail in the following embodiments.
In view of the above objects, a first aspect of the embodiments of the present invention provides an embodiment of a fan module. The mounting buckle 32 is matched with the through hole 23 for use so as to enable the connector assembly 3 to be detachably connected with the fan connector bracket 2, and the second surface of the connector assembly 3 is provided with a fan connector 33 configured for being connected with a mainboard connector on a mainboard. Specifically, the motherboard connector can substantially determine the position of the fan frame, and certainly, the actual sizes of the fan modules of different specifications may have slight deviations, and the positioning posts 31 and the positioning holes 22 can be used in cooperation to finely adjust the relative positions of the fan frame 1 and the motherboard connector.

In some embodiments, the fan connector bracket 2 further comprises: a binding-wire assembly 7, the binding-wire assembly 7 being disposed on a third side of the fan connector bracket 2, the binding-wire assembly 7 including a connecting portion 71 perpendicular to the third side and a binding-wire portion 72 parallel to the third side, the binding-wire portion 72 being connected with the third side through the connecting portion 71.
In some embodiments, the fan connector bracket 2 further comprises: the threading hole 8 is formed in the third side face, and one side of the threading hole 8 is adjacent to one side of the connecting portion 71.
The fan frame 1 and the fan connector support 2 are matched and fixed through a buckle, the relative position of the fan connector support 2 and the fan frame 1 can be adjusted according to the relative position of the buckle, and when an actual designed gap and a theoretically calculated gap have deviation, the actual structural requirement is met by adjusting the buckle position of the fan connector support 2. The fan connector support 2 is provided with a positioning hole 22 reserved for positioning a fan connector 33, the connector assembly 3 is provided with a positioning column 31, and the problem caused by inconsistency of an actual gap and a theoretical gap is solved by selecting different positioning columns 31 during installation. The fixing support 5 is fastened on two sides of the case through screws and used for integral rigid connection of the fan module, and installation reliability of the whole module is improved. The fixed wrench 6 and the fixed bracket 5 can move relatively for disassembling and assembling the module.
In a second aspect of the embodiments of the present invention, an embodiment of a server including a fan module is provided. The server includes: the mainboard is provided with a plurality of mainboard connectors side by side; the fan module as set forth in any of the above, the fan module is connected with the corresponding motherboard connector.

The fan layout is calculated according to the number of installed fans, 40/60/80 fans need to be installed with 8/6/4pcs, the least common divisor is 2, two groups of modules capable of dividing the fan layout into 4/3/2 are obtained, and with 0 as the starting point of the fan layout, the width dimension required by three fans can be calculated to be (4-1) × 40 ═ 120/(3-1) × 60 ═ 120/(2-1) × 80 ═ 80, and the maximum value 120 is selected as the end point coordinate of the layout. Taking 0 and 120 as the starting point and the ending point of the fan layout, the coordinates required by the 40 fans are 0, 40, 80, 120, 60 fans, the coordinates required by the layout required by the fans are 0, 60, 120, 80 fans, and the total number of the 5pcs connectors is 0 and 80. Multiplying the single group scheme by the least common divisor, if all compatibility requires 10pcs connectors, using a1, b1, b2, a3, a4, b3, b4 and a6 connectors when the fan is installed at 40, using a1, a2, a3, a4, a5 and a6 connectors when the fan is installed at 60, and using a1, b2, a4 and b4 connectors when the fan is installed at 80.
According to the layout calculation method, the minimum gap between 4056 fan connectors is 44mm by referring to the size of the existing fan frame, so that the required layout size of the main board is 0-44-66-88-132, when the design is actually carried out during model selection, the existing 60 fan modules are found to have a distance of 65mm and cannot be adapted to each other, and in this case, a new fan frame structure is selected, and the 6056 fan can be installed in the layout of 0-66-132 under the condition of 65 layout arrays by moving the positioning holes in the fan connector bracket 2. After the fan frame 1 and the fan connector 33 are mounted, a single fan is mounted in the fan module structure, and the fan module is mounted in the chassis by a fixing wrench.
