Description

Razor with deflectable head and replaceable blade
Technical Field
The present invention relates to razors, such as a razor having a deflectable head and replaceable blades.
Background
Razors have become popular and are used by people of different genders for the individual's shaving needs.
Double-edged shaving apparatuses have long been known. By using blades constructed of low cost thin steel, disposal of the blade after a limited number of uses becomes common and economical, so no sharpening or grinding is required. The safety features of this type of razor are: the user is protected from other parts than the blade edge, which is attractive to the user. Based on the orientation of the handle and the blade, the user needs to master the correct skills to achieve optimal shaving. Disposable razors use small, thin blades that are exposed only at the edges; disposable razors have a deflectable head that matches to some extent the contour of the body area to be shaved. But due to the disposable blades designed as a disposable product and their limited lifetime, disposable razors are only suitable for short periods of use.
Alternatively, there are razors that include a double-edged blade. Many of the current safety razors use a double-edged blade and the blade is clamped to the head of the safety razor, holding it. Typically, the blade edges are exposed on each side of the razor head. Many of these safety razors, however, do not include a deflectable head, so the user needs to hold the razor and the blade at a specific angle to the body part to be shaved in order to achieve proper shaving. This can result in a lengthy procedure that does not always provide the desired thorough shaving.
Razors with replaceable blades have been disclosed in US 841942A and US 956532A. In WO 2016/081795 a1 a razor is disclosed having a handle and a head which is deflectable arranged on the handle, wherein the head has a frame and a cover which is deflectable arranged on the frame; the disclosure also discloses at least one razor blade separating element disposed between the frame and the cap portion of the head.
WO 2016/081795 a1, and in particular paragraph [0040] of its specification, also proposes to provide two "half blades" or halves of a double-edged razor blade by dividing the double-edged razor blade in half. Each half may contain a razor blade. In which a "half blade" of the starting form can also be provided without the double-edged razor blade being divided into two halves. By applying "half blades" in the head of the razor, the razor is able to provide a configuration comprising several shaving blades to shave a person's face. It is also proposed that a particular "half blade" can be designed and configured so as to individually match the frame of the razor and the cap of the head.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an aim of some embodiments of the present invention to provide a razor having at least one razor blade which is easily replaceable and which takes advantage of advanced razor technology.
To this end, some embodiments of the present invention provide razors that include: a handle and a head portion deflectable on the handle; wherein the head has a frame and a cover, and at least one shaving blade having a cutting edge and supported between the frame and the cover; the at least one cutting blade is mounted in a replaceable manner between the frame and the cover, the at least one cutting blade can be inserted between the frame and the cover by means of an operable, eccentrically arranged fastening member which can be passed through an eccentric recess in the at least one cutting blade, and the at least one cutting blade can be connected to the frame and to the cover by means of the fastening member.
Preferably, several razor blades are embedded in the head of the razor of some embodiments of the invention. Preferably, the razor blade is a half blade as disclosed in, for example, WO 2016/081795 a 1. The securing members are eccentrically disposed in a symmetrical manner so as to be adjacent the side edges of the at least one shaving blade.
Preferably, the securing member passes through a V-shaped projection on the rear side of the razor blade, i.e. on the longitudinal edge opposite the cutting edge.
Thus, the securing member is arranged in close proximity to the cutting edge of the at least one shaving blade without widening the shaving apparatus and without occupying a central region of the razor which is left free to perform all movements required for shaving by means of the razor during shaving. Due to the close proximity of the securing member to the cutting edge, the blade can be clamped well to the frame as a whole, but in particular at the front cutting edge.
Due to the symmetrical, eccentric arrangement of the fastening member, a specific geometry of the head can be achieved, which ensures excellent access to the problem area to be shaved, in particular by means of a central recess on the upper edge. This geometry is particularly advantageous for use of the razor in the region between the upper lip and the lower edge of the nose. This applies correspondingly to other anatomically difficult to reach areas to be shaved and to problem areas. In any case, the position of the fastening member ensures that skin injuries are avoided and at the same time that the skin site to be shaved is easily accessible.
The shaving blade or blades can be easily replaced on the basis of the securing means. The securing member is releasable or releasable relative to the head.
Exposing the at least one razor blade and a spacer disposed between the razor blades, or between the razor blade and the cover, or between the razor blade and the frame, by removing the securing member. The spacer may be reusable in the event that the at least one razor blade needs to be replaced due to dulling.
Preferably, the razor produces only a single type of metal scrap that can be recycled. This avoids plastic waste, since the shaving blades made of metal need only be removed and can easily be recycled as scrap metal.
The amount of waste material is significantly reduced when using the razor of the present invention compared to commercially available and partially market-leading systems, such as replacement heads or disposable razors constructed of composite materials.
Thus, the burden of the environment can be greatly relieved, and limited resources can be saved.
If at least two shaving blades are provided in the head of the shaver, a small distance between the blade edges of said at least two shaving blades is required in order to achieve a thorough, at the same time smooth, safe and atraumatic shaving.
In a preferred version using at least two razor blades, the razor blades are separated by an intermediate sheet located between the razor blades.
A small distance of, for example, less than 1mm, preferably greater than 0.3mm, is produced on the one hand by the blade spacing defined by the spacers between the razor blades and, on the other hand, by the position of the cutting edge of the upper razor blade offset rearward with respect to the cutting edge of the lower razor blade.
According to some embodiments of the invention, the rearward offset position of the upper blade relative to the lower blade is defined by the abutment of the razor blade on a front bevel and/or a rear bevel, said bevel being provided on the frame and/or the cover. The bevel may be angled between 10 ° and 60 ° relative to the base of the frame. As an alternative to the bevel, a step may be provided in the frame and/or in the cover for abutment by the shaving blades and the spacer. The abutment ramp can likewise be formed by other elements, such as screws.
The inclined surface defines a horizontal position as well as a vertical position of the spacer.
According to a preferred embodiment, the spacer is constructed as follows: in the rear region of the spacer, i.e. on the side facing away from the cutting edge of the razor blade, a channel is created above the upper edge of the razor blade, which enables the shaving-removed hair, shaving debris, shaving foam and water to flow out backwards. This allows the head of the razor to be easily kept clean.
By arranging the head relative to the handle, a movable, in particular rotatably movable and/or elastic support is achieved, whereby the head can follow the contour of the region to be shaved, and thus a smooth and safe shave is achieved.
In the case of two fastening members, a releasable locking mechanism is provided and arranged on the head of the razor for holding the frame and the cover together. The releasable locking mechanism may comprise knurled nuts, each arranged on a threaded pin.
According to a preferred solution according to some embodiments of the invention, the two fastening members each comprise a threaded pin, preferably a knurled nut, fixedly connected in the frame or in the cover part, on which threaded pin the frame and the cover part, and the shaving blade and the spacer located therebetween, are clamped by means of the nut.
The securing member clamps the cover or frame to the frame or cover vertically or at an angle of at most 40 ° from vertical. Wherein the vertical line is defined by a face of the at least one razor blade.
According to one embodiment of the invention, a threaded pin is provided, acting as a securing member, which is fixedly connected with the knurling wheel and is screwed into the cover part, thereby clamping the frame onto the cover part, or into the frame, thereby clamping the cover part onto the frame.
Advantageous further developments are found in the dependent claims and the description, in particular with reference to the figures.
The handle is preferably ergonomically designed, similar to an S-shape, to avoid accidental twisting during shaving.
The handle, the frame, the cover and the nut are either completely made of metal and are constructed, for example, as zinc diecast components, or are at least partially made of plastic, such as polypropylene. According to a further preferred embodiment, the handle is made of metal, for example, on its top side and of plastic on its bottom side. In this case, the bottom side of the handle may match the position of the fingers of the person shaving.
In any event, by using a razor that is detachable and can be easily disassembled by loosening the knurled nut, metal razor blades can be replaced more quickly and easily.
Preferably, the head of the razor is itself elastic; furthermore, the head of the shaver can also be mounted in a movable, in particular rotatable, manner relative to the handle and/or can be mounted elastically.
According to a preferred solution according to some embodiments of the invention, the head is supported relative to a sleeve fixed to the handle by means of an element that can move together with the head.
Preferably, said element is supported relative to said sleeve by a spring.
Also preferably, the head is connected to the two elongate elements of the handle by the frame.
According to another preferred solution, the movable element and the sleeve are arranged between the elongated elements.
Preferably, the head is movably, in particular rotatably, and/or elastically fixed to the extension element by means of a pin or a screw.

Detailed Description
The razor 1 (fig. 1 to 14) comprises a handle or handle 2 and a razor head or head 3, preferably constructed as a deflecting head.
The handle 2 comprises two elongated elements 4, 5 between which the head 3 is housed laterally by means of pins or screws 6. The pin or screw 6 is a frame 7 which passes through a bore hole in the elongate element 4, 5 and is inserted laterally into the head 3. Furthermore, the pin 6 is held in the extension element 4, 5 or in the frame 7 in a press-fit or screw-on manner, for example by a snap connection, so that the head 3 is maintained in a deflectable manner in connection with the handle 2.
Between the extension elements 4, 5, a sleeve 8 extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the handle 2, said sleeve being fixedly connected to the handle and forming an extension of the handle 2 towards the head 3. The sleeve 8 houses internally a movable element 9, which is supported with respect to the handle 2 by a helical spring 10. The coil spring 10 is accommodated through a central bore 11 of the handle 2, which bore extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the handle.
This head is supported elastically relative to the handle 2 by means of an element 9 which rests on the head 3 on the side facing away from the handle 2. Based on the element 9, the head 3 can be deflected during shaving, and the head 3 can be turned back to its original position relative to the handle 2 after being removed from the abutment profile. The end position of the head 3 relative to the handle 2, which can be opposed by the spring force of the helical spring 10, is defined by a projection 12 provided on the frame 7 of the head 3, which projection constitutes a stop for the movable element 9.
The cover 15 is laid onto the frame 7 of the head 3 together with the razor blades 13 and the spacer 14 and is subsequently fixed by means of the fixing elements 16, 17.
The fixing elements 16, 17 are constituted by threaded pins to which knurled nuts 18, 19 can be screwed, which project on both sides of the frame 7 on the bottom side of this frame and are thus arranged close to the side edges of the shaving blades 13. This ensures that: with the razor 1 in any position, the knurled nut does not contact and damage the skin during shaving or cause obstructions during shaving.
The cover 15 is pushed over the frame 7 by means of the fastening elements 16, 17 so that these are located in the recesses 20, 21 of the frame 7 (fig. 3, 10). This allows the razor blade 13 to be easily removed from the head 3 together with the spacer 14 and re-inserted into a new razor blade 13.
As an alternative to the shown arrangement of the fastening elements 16, 17 with the knurled nuts 18, 19, other fastening elements can also be used, such as snap elements pressed into corresponding snap holes and the like.
The fastening elements 16, 17 connect the cover 15 to the frame 7 in such a way as to pass through a V-shaped groove 23 (fig. 10) located on the rear edge of each of the razor blades 13, so that the fastening elements 16, 17 preferably have an inclination with respect to the frame 7 and the cover 15 which corresponds to: the leading edge of the razor blade 13 is at an angle to the face of the razor blade 13.
