Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are some, not all, embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention. The reference numbers in the present application are only used for distinguishing the steps in the scheme, and are not used for limiting the execution sequence of the steps, and the specific execution sequence is subject to the description in the specification.
The User Equipment (UE) in this embodiment may be an electronic device with a communication function, such as a mobile phone, a tablet computer, and a smart watch. A Tracking Area (TA) can perform paging and terminal mobility management for the UE.
The size of the tracking area range is related to the paging channel capacity configuration of the base station to which the tracking area belongs, and the larger the range of the tracking area is, the larger the capacity of the paging channel needs to be configured. Typically, a tracking area may range from 20 to 30 sites. The size of the Tracking Area range is also related to the frequency of triggering the TAU procedure, the smaller the Tracking Area range is, the more likely the UE is to change the Tracking Area Code (TAC), and the higher the frequency of triggering the TAU procedure is, the larger the control channel overhead is.
In practical application, the number of user terminals in the tracking area is large, paging messages are sent frequently, and the range of the tracking area is small. At the edge of the tracking area, the ue may need to perform the TAU procedure, which takes a certain time. In this embodiment, a situation that paging of the ue occurs during the TAU procedure performed by the ue is referred to as paging procedure collision.
In particular, referring to fig. 1, the tau procedure at least relates to a Mobility Management Entity (MME), a base station (Evolved Node B, eNB), and a user terminal UE. Wherein, the MME receives and transmits signals with the UE through the eNB. When the UE triggers the TAU procedure, the MME receives a Tracking Area Update Request sent by the UE, then the MME sends an authorization Request to the UE, and after receiving an authorization feedback Response fed back by the UE, sends Security Mode control information Security Mode Command to the UE. Then, after receiving the security mode control completion information fed back by the UE, tracking Area Update acceptance information Tracking Area Update Accept is transmitted to the UE. And after receiving Tracking Area updating completion information Tracking Area Update Complete fed back by the UE, sending UE Context Release information Ue Context Release Command to the UE, and finally receiving the UE Context Release completion information Ue Context Release Complete sent by the UE.
The paging procedure not only involves the MME, eNB, UE, but also involves a Mobile Switching Center (MSC Server). When Paging UE, MSC Server sends Paging Request to MME, after MME finishes Paging UE through eNB, MSC Server will receive Paging feedback from MME.
In the process shown in fig. 1, since the UE is performing the TAU procedure when the MME receives the paging request, the paging request may be rejected, resulting in a paging failure.
Specifically, the MME may receive a CS (Circuit Switched) Fallback paging request through the SGS interface. Referring to fig. 2, when the MME receives the paging request, it first reads the current status of the paged UE. The state of the UE can be divided into an "active state" and an "idle state". When the UE is in the active state, it indicates that the UE is performing a service and cannot receive paging, and at this time, the MME may feed back a paging failure message corresponding to "UE busy" to the MSC Server.
When the UE is in the idle state, it indicates that the UE is not currently performing a service, and specifically, the UE may be further classified into two states, namely "doing TAU" and "not doing TAU". When the UE does not make a TAU, all base stations within the TA/TA List range may send a paging message through a normal paging procedure to page the UE.
When the UE is doing TAU, the method for processing the paging request provided by the present application is executed, which can be used to eliminate the paging collision. The method for processing a paging request, as shown in fig. 3, includes the following steps:
s11: receiving a paging request, wherein the paging request is used for requesting to initiate a paging operation to a target UE;
s12: acquiring the current state of the target UE;
s13: if the target UE is in an idle state and the target UE is updating the tracking area, suspending the paging operation corresponding to the paging request and continuing the updating of the tracking area of the target UE;
s14: and when the updating of the tracking area of the target UE is finished, responding to the paging operation according to the UE context reserved in the updating process of the tracking area.
In step S11, a paging request received by the MME may be from the MSC Server, where the paging request is used to request to initiate a paging operation on a target UE. In step S12, a paged target UE may be determined according to the paging request, and a current state of the target UE may be acquired. And if the target UE is in an idle state and the target UE is in a TAU (tracking area Unit), suspending the paging operation corresponding to the paging request and continuing the updating of the tracking area of the target UE.
Referring to fig. 1, the tau flow may include a plurality of steps. When the MME receives Tracking Area Update completion information Tracking Area Update Complete fed back by the UE, it may be considered that the TAU procedure is ended. That is, the TAU procedure in this embodiment at least may include: the MME receives a Tracking Area updating Request transmitted by the UE, transmits an authorization Request to the UE, receives an authorization feedback authorization Response fed back by the UE, transmits Security Mode control information to the UE, receives Security Mode control completion information fed back by the UE, transmits Tracking Area updating acceptance information to the UE, and receives Tracking Area updating completion information fed back by the UE.
And after the TAU process is finished, responding to the paging operation according to the UE context reserved by the TAU process. By the aid of the scheme, the paging request received in the TAU process is suspended, and then the paging request is processed after the TAU process is finished, so that the tracking area updating process can be normal, paging can be realized, paging failure caused by paging collision is avoided, paging success rate is improved, and user experience is optimized.
Based on the solution provided by the above embodiment, as shown in fig. 4, the step S14 includes the following steps:
s141: modifying the UE context retained by the tracking area update procedure based on the paging request;
s142: sending the modified UE context to the target UE.
In the process of performing tracking area update by the MME, a UE context is generated. The scheme provided by the application reserves the UE context generated in the updating process of the tracking area and modifies the UE context based on the paging request. Specifically, when a Paging Request sent by an MSC Server is received before an MME sends a UE context to a UE, the UE context retained in the tracking area update process is modified based on the Paging Request, and the modified UE context is sent to the target UE. As shown in fig. 5, the step of the MME communicating with the UE through the eNB above the dotted line is a TAU procedure, which is used to update the tracking area of the UE. In the process of executing the TAU procedure, the MME receives a paging request sent by the MSC Server, and at this time, suspends the received paging request, and waits for the execution of the TAU procedure, that is, after the MME receives Tracking Area Update completion information Tracking Area Update Complete sent by the UE, the MME processes the suspended paging request. The step of processing the paging Request is shown below the dashed line, where the UE context Modification Request is a modified UE context, which may be obtained by modifying the UE context reserved by the tracking area update procedure based on the paging Request. Specifically, in the process of modifying the UE context, the content related to the paging request may be added to the UE context, so as to achieve the purpose of paging the target UE.
According to the scheme provided by the application, the UE context reserved by the TAU flow is modified according to the paging request, the paging flow can be simplified, and the UE context related to the paging target UE is prevented from being generated again after the TAU flow is finished by utilizing the TAU flow resources. By sending the modified UE context to the target UE, not only can the TAU flow be completed, but also the paging of the target UE can be realized, the control channel overhead of the network for bearing the paging message is reduced, and the resource utilization rate is improved.
Based on the solution provided by the foregoing embodiment, as shown in fig. 6, the foregoing step S142 preferably includes the following steps:
s1421: determining a cell where target UE resides after the tracking area is updated according to the UE context reserved in the tracking area updating process;
s1422: and sending the modified UE context to the target UE through the cell where the target UE resides.
In this embodiment, the MME may acquire UE camped cell information and UE context information in the TAU procedure, so as to perform paging in the cell where the target UE camps according to the acquired information. For example, a cell where the target UE resides is determined according to the TAU procedure, and then the modified UE context is sent to the cell where the target UE resides, thereby implementing targeted paging.
By the scheme provided by the application, the information in the TAU flow can be fully utilized, the range of paging the target UE is narrowed, and the target UE is prevented from being paged in a broadcast manner in a large range. According to the scheme, the target UE is paged through the cell where the target UE resides, the paging success rate can be improved, the accuracy of the sending range of the paging message is improved, the dependence on paging retransmission is reduced, the control channel overhead of a network for bearing the paging broadcast message is reduced, and the resource utilization rate is improved.
Based on the solution provided by the foregoing embodiment, as shown in fig. 7, the foregoing step S141 preferably includes the following steps:
s1411: sending a first paging type message to a cell where target UE resides;
s1412: after receiving a first extended service request in response to the first paging type message, modifying the UE context retained by the tracking area update procedure according to the first extended service request.
Referring to fig. 5, after the TAU procedure is ended, that is, after the MME receives the tracking area update completion information sent by the UE, the processing is started for the pending Paging request, and first, a first Paging Type message Paging (Paging Type 1) is sent to the cell where the target UE camps. And then, the target UE reports the extended service request to the MME according to the received first paging type message. After receiving the extended service Request, the MME modifies the UE context retained in the tracking area update procedure according to the first extended service Request, so as to obtain a modified UE context uecontextmodification Request.
According to the scheme provided by the application, the UE context content left by the TAU process is utilized, so that the time for the MME to establish the context for the UE in the paging process is saved. In addition, by utilizing the information of the cell where the UE resides, the MME can directly send the paging broadcast to the cell where the UE resides, thereby avoiding sending the paging message in a large range and saving the control channel resources of the network. According to the scheme, through accurate paging at the cell level, the success probability of sending the paging message is improved, the probability of sending the secondary paging is reduced, and the paging time is effectively shortened.
Based on the solution provided by the above embodiment, as shown in fig. 8, the step S14 includes the following steps:
s143: determining a tracking area where the target UE currently resides according to the UE context reserved in the tracking area updating process;
s144: and responding to the paging operation through the tracking area where the target UE currently resides.
In this embodiment, the MME may acquire tracking area information that the UE resides after updating in the TAU procedure, so as to perform paging in the range of the tracking area where the target UE resides after updating. For example, a tracking area where the target UE resides is determined according to the TAU procedure, and then the paging target UE is broadcasted to the tracking area where the target UE resides.
By the scheme provided by the application, the information in the TAU flow can be fully utilized, the range of paging the target UE is narrowed, and the target UE is prevented from being broadcasted and paged in a large range. According to the scheme, the target UE is paged through the tracking area where the target UE resides after being updated, the paging success rate can be improved, the accuracy of the sending range of the paging message is improved, the dependence on paging retransmission is reduced, the control channel overhead of a network for bearing the paging broadcast message is reduced, and the resource utilization rate is improved.
Based on the solution provided by the foregoing embodiment, preferably, as shown in fig. 9, the foregoing step S144 includes the following steps:
s1441: broadcasting a second paging type message to a tracking area where the target UE currently resides;
s1442: after receiving a second extended service request in response to the second paging type message, generating an initial UE context setup request according to the second extended service request;
s1443: and sending the initial UE context setting request through a tracking area where the target UE resides.
Referring to fig. 10, the steps shown above the dotted line in the figure include a plurality of steps in which the MME communicates with the UE through the eNB to perform the TAU procedure. Specifically, when receiving a paging request after the MME sends UE context release information to the target UE, the MME broadcasts a second paging type message to a tracking area where the target UE currently resides. The paging request may be sent by the MSC Server to page the target UE.
After receiving a paging request from the MSC Server, the paging request is firstly suspended, and after receiving UE context release completion information fed back by target UE according to the UE context release information, the suspended UE context is processed. In step S1441, the MME sends the second paging type message to the target UE, and specifically, the second paging type message may be issued by the MME in a form of broadcasting paging to a tracking area where the target UE resides. And then, the target UE feeds back the extended service request to the MME according to the second paging type message. Then, after receiving a second extended service request in response to the second paging type message, the MME generates an initial UE context setup request according to the second extended service request, and sends the initial UE context setup request through a tracking area where the target UE resides, so as to implement paging of the target UE.
According to the scheme provided by the application, the paging request received in the process of carrying out the TAU flow is suspended, and the paging flow is carried out after the update of the TAU flow is finished, so that the conflict of the paging flow can be avoided, and the probability of paging failure is reduced. In addition, the scheme provided by the application pages the target UE through the tracking area where the target UE resides after being updated, so that the paging reachable probability can be improved, paging failure and secondary paging retransmission caused by paging collision are avoided, the paging performance is improved, and the paging flow is optimized.
Based on the solution provided by the foregoing embodiment, preferably, step S14 includes:
s145: and sending a service request to a mobile switching center in response to the paging operation.
Specifically, referring to fig. 5 and 10, after the MME sends the UE context related to paging to the target UE, the MME may send a service request to the MSC Server in response to the paging operation.
According to the embodiment of the application, aiming at the conditions that the number of current network users is large, the traffic is large, TA division is small, and more TAUs are easy to generate paging conflict, when the paging request is received in the TAU execution process, the paging request is firstly hung, and paging connection is realized after the TAU execution process is finished, so that the paging process conflict is effectively solved, and the paging success rate is improved.
In addition, the scheme provided by the application improves the flexibility of the TAU flow and the paging flow, and can page the target UE to the cell where the target UE resides or the updated tracking area where the target UE resides, so that the paging range is reduced, the paging reachable rate is effectively improved, information in the TAU flow is fully utilized, the flexible sending of the paging message is realized, the paging efficiency is improved, and the paging delay is improved.
In addition, the scheme provided by the application can effectively improve the paging conflict caused by frequent occurrence of TAUs in the current network, automatically identify the TAU flow conflict through the MME, adopt an effective conflict avoidance mechanism, improve the arrival rate of the primary paging of the terminal and reduce the probability of unreachable paging or secondary paging sending. According to the scheme, the paging sending in the range of the cell where the UE resides or a new tracking area is realized by utilizing the cell information where the UE resides and the context information obtained by the TAU process, the accuracy of the sending range of the paging message is improved, the dependence on the paging retransmission is reduced, the control channel overhead of a network for bearing the paging broadcast message is reduced, and the resource utilization rate is improved. By the scheme provided by the application, the CS Fallback one-time paging arrival rate can be improved, the probability of user service connection failure caused by objective reasons such as TAU (task assist) triggered by user movement is reduced, and the fault-tolerant capability of a network is improved.
