Abstract
The invention discloses a processing method, a system and a user terminal for authentication abnormality, wherein the processing method is used for the user terminal and comprises the following steps: setting authentication abnormal waiting time; initiating a request for mobility management procedures; receiving an authentication request initiated by a network; after replying that the authentication fails and after receiving an authentication rejection issued by the network, the following steps are performed: monitoring whether a message of refusing the mobility management procedure is received or not in the authentication abnormal waiting time, if yes, performing abnormal processing according to the EMM cause in the received message of refusing the mobility management procedure. Compared with the prior art, the invention can synchronize the UE with the network as soon as possible for temporary abnormality, thereby obtaining uplink and downlink service capacity and effectively improving the success rate of the user terminal accessing the network after authentication abnormality.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention belongs to the technical field of mobile communications, and in particular, relates to a method, a system, and a user terminal for processing authentication exceptions.
Background
The UE (User Equipment, user terminal, also called mobile terminal) normally registers under LTE (Long Term Evolution, long term evolution technology), if Attach (one of the Registration special procedures initiated by LTE mobile terminal) or TAU (Tracking Area Update ), or mobility management procedures such as Service Request (Service Request) or Extended Service Request (extended Service Request) are initiated, or the UE initiates Registration or Service Request (Registration) in a 5G (fifth generation mobile communication technology) scenario. The network initiates authentication interaction with the UE, because of a temporary anomaly, after the UE replies to the failed authentication result, the network issues authentication rejection, at this time, the UE enters a Deregistered (Deregistered) state, and is regarded as invalid in SIM (Subscriber Identity Module ) card, and subsequently if the network issues corresponding Reject messages, the UE discards the messages, so that the UE cannot synchronize with the network normally within a period of time, which may result in failure to receive downlink data (such as called phone) and failure to initiate uplink services (such as calling phone), i.e., the UE cannot acquire any LTE service in this power-on state, and can only dial emergency call phones and the like.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to overcome the defect that the UE cannot be normally synchronized with the network for a period of time when the authentication of the UE is abnormal by the network after the related procedure is initiated in the prior art, and provides a processing method, a system and a user terminal for the authentication abnormality, wherein the processing method, the system and the user terminal can enable the UE to be synchronized with the network as soon as possible for the temporary abnormality so as to acquire uplink and downlink service capacity.

The invention is further illustrated by means of the following examples, which are not intended to limit the scope of the invention.
Example 1
As shown in fig. 1, the present embodiment provides a method for processing authentication exceptions, which is used for a user terminal, and the method includes the following steps:

By the integrity protection check, the security can be improved. For cases where the message failed to check or rejected by the received mobility management procedure does not have integrity protection, such as a pseudo base station, it can be identified that no further parsing is performed, thereby reducing risk.

The following describes a processing flow of authentication abnormality for Attach between a user terminal and a network in an LTE application scenario, with particular reference to fig. 2.
Firstly, after the UE is started or after network residence is successful under LTE, initiating an Attach Request (carrying authentication information of history registration, for example, ksi (key set Indetifier) is 1, the value range of ksi is 0-7, wherein 0-6 is an effective value, representing authentication information carried in the history registration success, and 7 is an invalid value);
second, the network initiates an authentication procedure, authentication Request (authentication request);
third, the UE replies an authentication failure (Authentication Failure) response;
fourth, since there is some temporary anomaly in the UE or the network, the network issues an authentication rejection (Authentication Reject), the UE waits for a certain time (depending on UE implementation, for example, start 1 second timer, etc.);
fifthly, if the network issues an Attach Reject in the waiting time, the message carries a corresponding EMM cause, which is divided into the following two cases:
1) If the UE checks the integrity of the Attach Reject, performing subsequent processing according to the EMM cause in the Attach Reject;
2) If the UE checks the integrity failure of the Attach Reject or does not have integrity protection, the UE regards the SIM card as invalid until the SIM card is shut down or removed;
if the network does not issue Attach Reject in the waiting time, the UE retries Attach once (carrying invalid authentication information, e.g. ksi is 7).
After the authentication of the LTE terminal in the Attach process is refused, whether the Attach Reject is issued by the subsequent network or not and parameters in the Attach Reject continue to process the subsequent NAS (non-access stratum) flow can be seen.
For the fourth step in the prior art, because the UE or the network has a temporary abnormality, after the network issues authentication, the UE will usually enter a deregistered state, and the SIM card is regarded as invalid, the UE will not be able to process the Attach Reject issued by the network later, and the UE will not be able to acquire any LTE service in the current power-on state. Based on the improved processing method of the embodiment, the UE waits for a certain time, if the network issues the Attach Reject in the waiting time, carrying the corresponding EMM cause, the UE further analyzes the EMM cause to obtain the cause of the authentication anomaly, performs targeted processing, and can recover synchronization with the network as soon as possible for the temporary anomaly.
The request flow of other mobility management procedures is also similar and will not be described in detail here.
Aiming at the authentication abnormality of the UE side after the request of the mobility management procedure is initiated, the embodiment increases the waiting time, monitors whether a message of refusing the mobility management procedure is received or not in the waiting time, and carries out corresponding abnormality processing by analyzing the EMM cause carried in the message after the message is received, so that the UE and the network can be synchronized after the processing is finished. Compared with the prior art, the method and the device for the temporary abnormality can enable the UE to synchronize with the network as soon as possible, thereby obtaining uplink and downlink service capacity and effectively improving the success rate of the user terminal accessing the network after the authentication abnormality.
Example 2
The present embodiment provides a processing system for authentication abnormality, which is used for a user terminal, as shown in fig. 3, and includes a setting module 1, a request module 2, a receiving module 3, a monitoring module 4, an abnormality processing module 5 and an inspection module 6.
Wherein the setting module 1 is used for setting authentication abnormal waiting time; the authentication anomaly latency is less than 10 seconds. The request module 2 is used to initiate a request for mobility management procedures. The request carries authentication information for the history registration at this time. The receiving module 3 is configured to receive a network initiated authentication request.
The monitoring module 4 is used for monitoring whether a message of refusing the mobility management procedure is received or not in the waiting time of authentication abnormality by starting a timer after replying that authentication fails and after receiving authentication refusing sent by the network, and if yes, the checking module 6 is called; if not, the request module 2 is called again, and the request initiated by the request module 2 is called again to carry invalid authentication information.
The checking module 6 is configured to perform integrity protection checking on the received message of rejection of the mobility management procedure, call the exception handling module 5 if the checking is successful, and consider that the SIM card is invalid if the checking fails or the received message of rejection of the mobility management procedure does not have integrity protection.
The exception handling module 5 is configured to perform exception handling according to the EMM cause in the received message of rejection of the mobility management procedure.
In this embodiment, the user terminal may be a user terminal in an LTE application scenario, or may be a user terminal in a 5G application scenario. setting authentication abnormal waiting time;
initiating a request for mobility management procedures;
receiving an authentication request initiated by a network;
after replying that the authentication fails and after receiving an authentication rejection issued by the network, the following steps are performed:
monitoring whether a message of refusing the mobility management procedure is received or not in the authentication abnormal waiting time, if yes, carrying out integrity protection check on the received message of refusing the mobility management procedure, and if successful, carrying out abnormal processing according to EMM cause in the received message of refusing the mobility management procedure;
if the check fails or the received refused message of the mobility management procedure does not have integrity protection, the SIM card is regarded as invalid;
and monitoring whether the request of the mobility management procedure is reinitiated when the refused message of the mobility management procedure is received within the authentication abnormal waiting time is NO, and the reinitiated request of the mobility management procedure carries invalid authentication information.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the user terminal is a user terminal under LTE, and the Request of the mobility management procedure includes at least one of Attach Request, TAU Request, service Request, and Extended Service Request.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the user terminal is a user terminal under 5G, and the Request for mobility management procedure comprises at least one of Registration Request and Service Request.
