Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to the embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. What has been described herein is merely a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention and other ways of practicing the invention will occur to those skilled in the art and are within the scope of the invention.
The present invention provides a bed frame, and fig. 1 to 8 show a preferred embodiment according to the present invention.
It should be noted that the extending direction and the arrangement position (for example, "transverse direction", "longitudinal direction", "vertical direction", "upward", "downward", "above", "below", "top side", "bottom side", etc.) of each component mentioned in the present invention refer to the extending direction of the component in the case that the frame is placed on the horizontal plane and the legs are in the unfolded state, and thus the directional terms mentioned herein should be understood as relative terms rather than absolute terms. Also, herein, "lateral" and "longitudinal" are both horizontal directions, which may together define a horizontal plane, while vertical is the direction perpendicular to the horizontal plane.
With reference to fig. 1 to 4, it can be seen that the frame 1 comprises a left, more rigid longitudinal support bar 21 for carrying the weight force, a right longitudinal support bar 22 and a middle longitudinal support bar 23 located therebetween. Three longitudinal support bars each extend in the longitudinal direction. And two sliding sleeves 32 which are separated by a certain distance and can slide on the middle longitudinal support rod 23 are arranged on the middle longitudinal support rod 23, and a bracket is arranged on the sliding sleeves 32.
Specifically, when the two sliding sleeves 32 slide along the middle longitudinal support bar 23 toward each other, the bed frame 1 is gradually folded until the left longitudinal support bar 21, the right longitudinal support bar 22 and the middle longitudinal support bar 23 are in a folded state in which they are attached to each other in parallel; when the sliding sleeves 32 slide away from each other along the intermediate longitudinal support bars 23, the bed frame 1 is gradually expanded until the respective connecting rods 31 are in an expanded state perpendicular to the respective longitudinal support bars. Fig. 3 to 4 show the bed frame 1 from folded to unfolded in a horizontal plane.
The frame 1 further comprises legs pivotally connected to the bottom of each longitudinal support bar by hinges, the legs being rotatable in a vertical plane with respect to the corresponding longitudinal support bar to enable folding or unfolding of the legs. When the supporting legs are in a folded state, the supporting legs are parallel to the corresponding longitudinal supporting rods and are attached to the lower parts of the longitudinal supporting rods; the legs extend in the vertical direction when the legs are in the unfolded state and are capable of supporting the frame 1 on a horizontal surface. For the sake of convenience of distinction, the leg member that can rotate with respect to the corresponding longitudinal support bar is referred to herein as a leg, and the leg member fixedly provided on the longitudinal support bar is referred to as a fixed leg 43.
In this embodiment, the hinges are pivotally attached to corresponding longitudinal support bars, and the legs are fixed to the hinges to rotate with the hinges. Specifically, the hinge includes a U-shaped plate including two hinge plates facing each other in the lateral direction, the two hinge plates being provided with pin holes and capable of being positioned at both lateral sides of the corresponding longitudinal support bar to be connected to the corresponding longitudinal support bar by pivots 53 penetrating the pin holes, and the corresponding legs being fixed to the bottom sides of the connected plates.
For convenience of further description below, in the present embodiment, the leg connected below the left and right longitudinal support bars 21 and 22 is referred to as a first leg 41, the hinge connected to the first leg 41 is referred to as a first hinge 51, and the U-shaped plate of the first hinge 51 is referred to as a first U-shaped plate; the leg connected below the middle longitudinal support bar 23 is referred to as a second leg 42, the hinge connected to the second leg 42 is referred to as a second hinge 52, and the U-shaped plate of the second hinge 52 is referred to as a second U-shaped plate 52 a.
Referring now to fig. 5 and 6, the first leg 41 and the first hinge 51 will be described first. The right longitudinal support bar 22 is provided with pin holes extending therethrough in the lateral direction, and when the two hinge plates of the first U-shaped plate are positioned on both sides of the right longitudinal support bar 22 with the pin holes of the right longitudinal support bar 22 and the hinge plates aligned, pivot shafts 53 can be inserted through the respective pin holes to pivotally connect the first hinge 51 to the right longitudinal support bar 22.
Preferably, a first holding member 61 is fixedly mounted on the first leg 41, and the first holding member 61 can cooperate with the connecting rod 31 to hold the first leg 41 in the unfolded state when the frame 1 is in the unfolded state and the first leg 41 is in the unfolded state. Specifically, the holding member includes a fixing portion 61a and a holding portion 61b fixed to each other, the fixing portion 61a is fixed to the first leg 41, and the holding portion 61b is bent to form a receiving structure that is adapted to the shape of the connecting rod 31 so that the corresponding connecting rod 31 can be snap-received in the holding portion 61 b.
Further, the connecting rod 31 is a square rod having a square cross section, and the holding portion 61b includes a first plate 612, a second plate 613, and a third plate 614 which are connected end to end in this order from the fixing portion 61 a. The first plate 612 extends outward in a longitudinal direction from the top of the fixing portion 61a, the second plate 613 is provided at an end of the first plate 612 and extends upward, and the third plate 614 is bent back in the longitudinal direction from an end of the second plate 613 so as to be able to face the first plate 612. Thus, when the retaining portion is snapped onto the corresponding connecting rod 31, the first plate 612 is the bottom side of the connecting rod 31, the second plate 613 is located longitudinally outside the connecting rod 31, and the third plate 614 is located at the top side of the connecting rod 31.
More preferably, the size of each plate member may be set according to the size of the connecting rod 31. For example, when the fixing portion 61a is fixed to the outer side wall of the leg in the longitudinal direction, the first plate member 612 may be set to have a size in the longitudinal direction equal to the longitudinal distance between the leg and the outer side of the connecting rod 31; a dimension of the second plate 613 in the vertical direction is set to be equal to the height of the connecting rod 31; the dimension of the third plate 614 in the longitudinal direction is set to be smaller than or equal to the width of the connecting rod 31 (i.e., the dimension of the connecting rod 31 in the longitudinal direction). Such an arrangement enables the user to catch the holding portion 61b on the connecting rod 31 with a slight force, and to more firmly hold the engaging relationship of the connecting rod 31 and the holding portion 61 b.
The second leg 42 below the middle longitudinal support bar 23 and the second hinge 52 for mounting the second leg 42 are arranged slightly differently from the first leg 41 and the first hinge 51. Specifically, referring to fig. 7 and 8, it can be seen that second hinge 52 is mounted on sliding sleeve 32 such that second leg 42 can slide with sliding sleeve 32, and each of the two lateral sides of sliding sleeve 32 is provided with a pivot extending laterally outward. The second hinge 52 includes two recesses 52b in addition to the second U-shaped plate 52 a. The recesses 52b have openings and are fixed to the laterally outer sides of the hinge plates with the openings aligned with the pin holes in the hinge plates through which the pivot shafts can pass and enter the recesses 52b via the openings when the second hinge 52 is mounted on the sliding sleeve 32 so that the second hinge 52 can rotate relative to the sliding sleeve 32.
Preferably, a second retaining member 52 is fixedly mounted on the second leg 42, the second retaining member 52 being capable of snap-fitting with the connecting rod 31 to retain the second leg 42 in the expanded state, similar to the first retaining member 61. Specifically, referring to fig. 7, a portion 52c of the second holding member 52 is fixed to the second leg 42, an engagement groove 311 facing the second holding member 52 is provided on the connecting rod 31, an extension 521 corresponding to the engagement groove 311 is provided on the second holding member, and the extension 521 can be inserted into the engagement groove 311 to achieve an open fit when the frame 1 is spread in the horizontal plane and the second leg 42 is in the unfolded state.
Fig. 1 to 4 show how the frame 1 is gradually brought from an initial state, in which the legs are folded, to a final state, in which the frame 1 is unfolded and the legs are unfolded. Specifically, as shown in fig. 1 and 2, in use, the bed frame 1 may be turned upside down on a horizontal plane, the first leg 41 and the second leg 42 are unfolded, then, as shown in fig. 3, the bed frame is turned over so that the first leg 41, the second leg 42 and the fixed leg 43 support the bed frame 1 on a support plane (a horizontal plane such as the ground), and then the bed frame 1 is spread on the horizontal plane.
Preferably, the rotation directions of the first leg 41 and the second leg 42 when rotating from the folded state to the unfolded state are opposite, and specifically, as shown by arrows in fig. 1, when the frame 1 is turned upside down on a horizontal plane and stands on the left side of the left longitudinal support bar 21, it can be seen that the first leg 41 is rotated from the folded state to the unfolded state in a counterclockwise direction and the second frame 42 is rotated from the folded state to the unfolded state in a clockwise direction. This arrangement allows the frame 1 to be folded in a horizontal plane with the legs in the folded position, with the legs abutting under the corresponding longitudinal support bar and not projecting longitudinally beyond it. When the frame 1 is still in the half-expanded state in the horizontal plane, the first leg 41 and the second leg 42 are in the expanded state but are not locked, and both the first holding member 61 and the second holding member 52 are in a state of waiting for engagement with the connecting rod 31.
Fig. 3 to 4 show a process of expanding the frame 1 in a horizontal plane. Wherein, firstly, the sliding sleeves 32 are slid away from each other along the middle longitudinal support bar 23, and the bed frame 1 is gradually expanded until the connection bars 31 are in an expanded state perpendicular to the longitudinal support bars, respectively, at which time the connection bars 31 are snapped into the holding portions 61b of the first holding members 61; and the extension 521 of the second holding member 52 is inserted into the engagement groove 311 of the connecting rod 31, thereby achieving the engagement of the connecting rod 31 with the first and second holding members 61 and 52, and thus locking the first and second legs 41 and 42 in the deployed position.
It is to be noted that the term "plurality" as used herein means two or more. For example, although two foldable legs are provided below each longitudinal support bar in this embodiment, the number of foldable legs is not limited to this, and for example, three or more foldable legs may be provided below some or all of the longitudinal support bars.
Fig. 9 to 13 show a bed base 1 according to another preferred embodiment of the present invention. In the present embodiment, the first leg 41 and the second leg 42 are arranged in substantially the same manner except that the rotation directions are opposite when they are deployed. In particular, the hinges 54 are fixed on respective longitudinal support bars, the legs being connected to the respective hinges 54 in a pivotable manner.
Referring to fig. 10, the first hinge 51 mounted on the left longitudinal support bar 21 includes two straight leg portions extending downward from both lateral sides of the left longitudinal support bar 21 to face each other, the two straight leg portions being provided with pin holes, and the leg portions also being provided with pin holes. The legs can be positioned between the two straight leg portions and, when the legs are positioned between the two straight leg portions, the respective pin holes can be aligned and the pivot shaft 53 can extend through the respective pin holes, thereby enabling the legs to pivot relative to the hinge 54. Preferably, in order to prevent the two straight leg portions from being deformed, a connecting portion 57 is further provided between the two straight leg portions, and the connecting portion 57 is provided near the bottom of the straight leg portions without affecting the pivoting of the leg portions.
The locking of the legs is achieved by means of a ball leaf spring 55. Specifically, the tops of the lateral side walls of the legs are provided with recessed holes 56, and the tops of the side walls of the straight legs facing each other are provided with ball leaf springs 55 having elasticity. During the rotation of the legs from the folded to the unfolded state, the legs contact the ball leaf springs 55 and press the ball leaf springs 55 to accumulate force, and further rotation and when the recesses 56 are aligned with the ball leaf springs 55, the ball leaf springs 55 extend under the influence of elasticity into the recesses 56, thereby locking the legs relative to the hinges 54.
The second leg 42 and the second hinge 52 are arranged in a similar manner to the first leg 41 and the first hinge 51, and are not described in detail herein.
It will be appreciated that since the locking of the legs is achieved in this embodiment without the use of the connecting rods 31, the legs can be unfolded and locked before the frame 1 is used, and then gradually unfolded in the horizontal plane, as shown in fig. 9, 11, 12 and 13. Among other things, fig. 12 shows further details of the sliding sleeve 32 on the intermediate longitudinal support bar 23. Of course, in this embodiment, before the bed frame 1 is used, the bed frame may be firstly unfolded in the horizontal plane and then the supporting legs may be unfolded, that is, the two processes of unfolding the bed frame 1 in the horizontal plane and unfolding the supporting legs do not have any dependency relationship or sequence, and a user may operate the bed frame according to specific needs. Alternatively, the connecting rods 31 may be directly arranged in fixed connection with the respective longitudinal connecting rods.
