Furthermore, the terms "comprise" and "have," as well as any variations thereof, are intended to cover a non-exclusive inclusion. For example, a process, method, system, article, or apparatus that comprises a list of steps or elements is not limited to only those listed steps or elements but may include other steps or elements not listed or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus.

The appearances of such phrases in various places in the specification are not necessarily all referring to the same embodiment, nor are separate or alternative embodiments mutually exclusive of other embodiments. Those of skill in the art will explicitly and implicitly appreciate that the embodiments described herein may be combined with other embodiments.
Embodiments of the present application are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings in the embodiments of the present application.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a flowchart of a print control method of a printer according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The method may include:
101. and acquiring the printing state of the printer and/or the number of tasks in a printing queue of the printer.
The execution subject of the embodiment of the present application may be a print control apparatus of a printer. The print control apparatus of the above-described printer may be understood as a control device of the printer, such as a terminal device including, but not limited to, a device such as a desktop computer, a mobile phone, a laptop computer, or a tablet computer, may transmit a print job, i.e., data to be printed, to the printer, and may control the printer to perform a printing operation.
The printing control device in the embodiment of the application can communicate with the printer, can realize communication through wireless network connection or data line connection, can periodically acquire the printing state of the printer, can monitor the number of tasks in a printing queue of the printer, and can carry out subsequent control steps.
The print queue is a queue formed by data waiting to be printed in the printer, namely, print tasks in the print queue can be arranged according to the printed sequence, and a print list can be generated according to the print queue and displayed to a user so that the user can know the printing condition.
102. And determining the number of the printing tasks to be sent according to the printing state of the printer and the number of the tasks in the printing queue.
103. And sending the number of print jobs to a print queue of the printer so that the printer processes the print jobs in the print queue.
104. Repeating the steps until the end of the task in the printing queue of the printer is detected.
After acquiring the print status of the printer and/or the number of tasks in the print queue of the printer, the print tasks may be sent according to the acquired information.
Specifically, when the printing state of the printer is idle, that is, no task exists in the printing queue of the printer, the printing tasks with a preset number of thresholds can be sent to the printer, and the printing tasks are stored in the printing queue to be sequentially subjected to printing processing; when the printer is in a working state, the number of tasks to be sent to the printer can be determined according to the number of the tasks in the printing queue, the number of the printing tasks to be sent is inversely related to the number of the tasks in the printing queue, so that the number of the tasks in the printing queue of the printer is controlled, the memory occupation of the printer for storing the data to be printed is reduced, and the printing processing speed of the printer is ensured.
In an alternative embodiment, if the printing status of the printer is idle, the step 102 may include:
determining the number of the printing tasks to be sent as a preset number threshold;
the step 103 may include:
splitting print tasks in a task list to be processed to obtain a first print task set, wherein the first print task set comprises the print tasks with the number of the preset number threshold, and the number of the print tasks in the task list to be processed is larger than or equal to the preset number threshold;
and sending the first print job set to a print queue of the printer.
Specifically, before the print job is sent to the printer, splitting processing may be performed according to a preset number threshold, that is, the first print job set is split from a plurality of print jobs in the to-be-processed job list, that is, the print job with the preset number threshold is split, so that the split print job is sent to the printer when sent next time.
The preset number threshold may be set as needed to limit the number of tasks in the print queue of the printer from exceeding the preset number threshold. For example, the preset number threshold is 2, the printing control device can split 2 printing tasks from a plurality of printing tasks in the task list to be processed, and the printing tasks are sent to the printer first; after that, one print job in the pending job list may be sent to the printer for processing each time after it is detected that the printer processing has completed one print job, until all print job processing is completed.
In an alternative embodiment, if the printing status of the printer is printing, the step 102 may include:
and under the condition that the number of the tasks in the printing queue is smaller than the preset number threshold, determining that the number of the printing tasks to be sent is equal to the value obtained by subtracting the number of the tasks in the printing queue from the preset number threshold.
Further optionally, the method further comprises:
and stopping sending the print tasks to the print queue of the printer until the number of the tasks in the print queue is smaller than the preset number threshold value under the condition that the number of the tasks in the print queue is not smaller than the preset number threshold value.
Specifically, if the current printer state is in printing and the number of tasks in the print queue is not less than the preset number threshold, the print tasks may not be sent to the print queue of the printer, that is, the printer side is guaranteed to only store the print tasks with the preset number threshold, so that excessive memory is avoided.
For example, if the preset number threshold is 2, and the current printer status is in printing and the number of tasks in the print queue is equal to 1, a print job may be sent to the printer; if the current printer state is in printing and the number of tasks in the printing queue is greater than or equal to 2, stopping sending the printing tasks to the target printer, and continuously monitoring the printing state of the printer and the number of tasks in the printing queue, and circularly judging until the printer tasks are ended.
In an alternative embodiment, the method further comprises:
acquiring the hardware parameter information of the printer;
and determining the preset quantity threshold according to the hardware parameter information of the printer and the prediction processing memory corresponding to the single print task.
Specifically, the preset number threshold may be determined according to hardware parameter information of the printer. The hardware parameter information may include an available memory of the printer; the prediction processing memory corresponding to a single print job may be preset, specifically may be preset according to the average memory occupation amount of the historical print job, that is, the memory occupied by a print job is generally large, and then the available memory of the printer is divided by the prediction processing memory corresponding to the single print job, so that the estimated number of print jobs which can be stored in the printer at most can be calculated, and at this time, the preset number threshold needs to be smaller than the estimated number. Optionally, a mapping relationship between the preset number and the estimated number may be set as required to determine a preset number threshold, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application. For example, the preset number threshold may be set to 1/20 of the estimated number, for example, when the estimated number of print jobs that can be stored in the printer is calculated to be 40, the preset number threshold may be calculated to be 2.
Generally, since the memory of the printer is limited and the remaining memory is inversely proportional to the printing speed, the method can receive the printing tasks while printing and control the printer to store only the printing tasks with the preset number threshold value at the same time, and can improve the printing speed of the printer without reducing the printing quality. The method is particularly suitable for printers with high requirements on printing quality, such as film printers, and can optimize the printing speed of the film printers in a multi-sheet printing mode.
Alternatively, the printing process of the printer may be controlled by software in the printing control terminal, and specifically, an optional program code form thereof is as follows:
