Detailed Description
When the terminal device performs access point reselection or access point handover, since the terminal device needs to disconnect the currently residing source access point first, the terminal device reselects or switches to a new access point (target access point). In the process of reselecting or switching to the target access point, a more complicated reselection or switching process is required, and therefore, a problem of poor service continuity may exist therein.
In the embodiment of the invention, when receiving that the terminal equipment executes the access point reselection or the access point executes the switching to the terminal equipment, the access point sends the route replacement information to the router. And after receiving the route replacement information sent by the access point, the router switches the route direction corresponding to the terminal equipment from the source access point to the target access point. The router realizes the switching of the terminal equipment route, and can effectively maintain the service continuity.
In order to make the aforementioned objects, features and advantages of the present invention comprehensible, embodiments accompanied with figures are described in detail below.
An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for maintaining service continuity of an access point, which is described in detail below with reference to fig. 1 through specific steps.
Step S101, receiving the route replacement information sent by the access point.
In specific implementation, the terminal device is assigned a current IP address during the boot-up registration process, and the current IP address is added with a route pointing to an Access Point (AP) where the terminal device is located.
In a specific implementation, the current IP address of the terminal device may be previously assigned to the terminal device by the network management device. When the terminal device is accessed to the network, the network administrator can allocate an IP address to the terminal device through the network management device. Typically, the IP address configured for the terminal device by the network administrator is fixed. That is, when the terminal device accesses the network, the corresponding current IP address is fixed.
For example, when the terminal device accesses the network, the IP address allocated to the terminal device by the network administrator through the network management device is 192.168.10.11, and the current IP address of the terminal device is fixed to 192.168.10.11.
In a specific implementation, the IP address of the terminal device may also be dynamically allocated. As known in the art, a current IP address may be allocated to a terminal device through a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). DHCP is a network protocol of local area network, a server controls a segment of IP address range, when the terminal equipment logs in the server, the current IP address and subnet mask distributed by the server can be automatically obtained.
When the terminal device logs in the server at different times, the corresponding current IP addresses of the terminal device can be different.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the terminal device may also send a registration request to an Access and Mobility management Function (AMF). After receiving the registration request, the AMF dynamically allocates an IP address corresponding to the terminal device, and issues a registration accept (registration accept) to the terminal device. And the terminal equipment receives the registration reception issued by the AMF, namely the IP address carried in the registration reception can be used as the current IP address of the terminal equipment.
In a specific implementation, after acquiring the current IP address of the terminal device, the AMF may send the current IP address of the terminal device to a Router device (Router), so that the Router device adds a route to the current IP address of the terminal device and directs the current IP address to a corresponding Access Point (AP).
In the embodiment of the present invention, the AMF may send an add route request (add route request) to the router device, where the add route request carries the current IP address of the terminal device and the IP address of the access point corresponding to the terminal device. After receiving the route adding request sent by the AMF, the router device may send a route adding acknowledgement to the AMF, where the route adding acknowledgement corresponds to the route adding request to inform that the AMF has added the current IP address of the terminal device and the IP address of the access point corresponding to the current IP address to the routing table.
In the existing 3gpp 5G NR network, the terminal device obtains an IP address through Session Management signaling (Session Management signaling). Specifically, the terminal device sends a PDU Session ESTABLISHMENT REQUEST to a Session Management Function (SMF), and after receiving the PDU Session ESTABLISHMENT REQUEST, the SMF feeds back a corresponding PDU Session ESTABLISHMENT ACCEPT to the terminal device, where the PDU Session ESTABLISHMENT ACCEPT carries an IP address assigned to the terminal device.
It can be understood that, in the specific implementation, there may be other methods for allocating the current IP address to the terminal device, and details of the embodiment of the present invention are not described herein.
Compared with the method for dynamically allocating the IP address to the terminal equipment through the SMF, the method for dynamically allocating the IP address to the terminal equipment allocates the IP address to the terminal equipment through the AMF without setting the SMF, so that the network structure can be simplified, and the complexity of the network equipment can be reduced.
In an implementation, when the terminal device is in an idle state (idle), it may detect that the signal quality of the neighboring access point is better than the signal quality of the current access point, and therefore, the terminal device may perform an access point reselection when detecting that the signal quality of the neighboring access point is better than the signal quality of the current access point. When the terminal device is in a connected state (connected), it may detect that the signal quality of the neighboring access point is better than that of the current access point, and therefore, the access point may perform handover on the terminal device when the signal quality of the neighboring access point is better than that of the current access point. And in the process of switching the terminal equipment, the source access point and the target access point are jointly completed.
When performing access point reselection, the terminal device may send an association request to a target access point, where the target access point is a new access point and the source access point is an access point where the terminal device currently resides. After receiving the association request sent by the terminal device, the target access point may determine that the terminal device has performed access point reselection. At this time, the target access point may transmit the route change information to the router device.
When the access point performs handover to the terminal device, the source access point or the target access point may transmit route change information to the router device.
In particular implementations, the route replacement information may include current IP address information of the terminal device.
And step S102, switching the route direction corresponding to the terminal equipment from a source access point to a target access point.
In the embodiment of the invention, when the terminal equipment in the idle state reselects the access point, the terminal equipment associates with the target access point. And the target access point sends the route replacement information to the router equipment when receiving the association request sent by the terminal equipment. And after receiving the route replacement information, the router equipment switches the route of the terminal equipment from the pointing source access point to the target access point.
In the embodiment of the present invention, when the access point performs a handover process for the terminal device in a connected state, the target access point may send the route change information to the router device, so that the router device switches the route of the terminal device from the pointing source access point to the target access point; the router device may also be configured to send route change information from the source access point to the router device to cause the router device to switch the route of the terminal device from being directed to the source access point to the target access point.
Specifically, the source access point sends the route change information to the router device during the handover. After receiving the route replacement information sent by the source access point, the router device switches the access point corresponding to the terminal device from the source access point to the target access point, thereby realizing the switching of the access points.
The target access point may also send route change information to the router device during the handover procedure. After receiving the route replacement information sent by the source access point, the router device switches the access point corresponding to the terminal device from the source access point to the target access point, thereby realizing the switching of the access points.
When the terminal device is switched to the target access point, the target access point sends the route replacement information to the router device. After receiving the route replacement information sent by the target access point, the router device switches the access point corresponding to the terminal device from the source access point to the target access point, thereby realizing the switching of the access points.
Accordingly, when the terminal device switches to the target access point, the source access point may also send the route change information to the router device. After receiving the route replacement information sent by the source access point, the router device switches the access point corresponding to the terminal device from the source access point to the target access point, thereby realizing the switching of the access points.
In a specific implementation, during the handover, at least one of the source access point and the target access point may send route change information to the router device; at least one of the source access point and the target access point may send route change information to the router device upon completion of the handover. Therefore, in the switching process and when the switching is completed, the router device receives the routing change information at least twice, and the router device can respectively send the data packets corresponding to the terminal device to the source access point and the target access point, so that the communication fluency is further ensured.
In practical applications, after the terminal device completes communication or interrupts connection with a network, if a current IP address configured for the terminal device is reserved, the IP address is wasted.
In an embodiment of the present invention, to improve the utilization rate of the IP address, after sending the current IP address of the terminal device to the router device, if a de-registration request sent by the terminal device is received, the AMF may recover the current IP address corresponding to the terminal device and send a route deletion notification to the router device. And after receiving the route deletion notification, the router equipment deletes the route corresponding to the current IP address.
In another embodiment of the present invention, if detecting that the preset time length does not receive the periodic registration request of the terminal device, the AMF recovers the current IP address corresponding to the terminal device, and sends a route deletion notification to the router device. And after receiving the notice of deleting the route, the router equipment deletes the route corresponding to the current IP address.
