The inorganic layer 200 is disposed on the base layer 100, such as the inorganic layer 200 is disposed on the second PI layer 140 of the base layer 100. The inorganic layer 200 may include an inorganic layer 220 and an inorganic layer 240, the inorganic layer 220 may be referred to as a first inorganic layer, and the inorganic layer 240 may be referred to as a second inorganic layer 240. The first inorganic layer 220 may have a multi-layer structure, and may be an overlapped structure of silicon nitride or silicon dioxide, which may be understood as an upper inorganic layer. The second inorganic layer 240 may be an overlapping structure of silicon nitride or silicon dioxide.
The first inorganic layer 220 and the second inorganic layer 240 are stacked, the first inorganic layer 220 being disposed on the base layer 100, such as the first inorganic layer 220 being disposed on the second PI layer 140. The second inorganic layer 240 is disposed on the first inorganic layer 220.
The metal layer 300 is disposed on the inorganic layer 200, such as the metal layer 300 is disposed on the second inorganic layer 240. The metal layer 300 may be made of a titanium material or an aluminum material.
The barrier structures 400 are disposed on the metal layer 300 and the inorganic layer 200, such as the barrier structures 400 disposed on the metal layer 300 and the second inorganic layer 240. That is, a portion of the retaining wall structure 400 is disposed on the metal layer 300, and another portion is disposed on the second inorganic layer 240. The retaining wall structure 400 may be understood as an organic layer, and the retaining wall structure 400 may be a multi-layer structure, such as a layer structure including a planarization layer and a pixel defining layer.

The encapsulation layer 500 may include a first inorganic encapsulation layer 520, a second inorganic encapsulation layer 540, and an organic encapsulation layer 550, the first inorganic encapsulation layer 520 may be disposed on the barrier structure 400, the metal layer 300, and the second inorganic layer 240, the organic encapsulation layer 560 may be disposed on the first inorganic encapsulation layer 520, and the second inorganic encapsulation layer 540 may be disposed on the first inorganic encapsulation layer 520 and the organic encapsulation layer 560.
It should be noted that, in order to increase the reliability of the OLED panel, a Thin Film Encapsulation (TFE) process may be used to form the thin film encapsulation layer, i.e., the encapsulation layer 500, during the manufacturing process. In the production process of the display panel, a cutting operation is also required, and cracks (cracks) are easily generated in the cutting process. In order to prevent the cracks generated during the cutting process from extending toward the display panel, some embodiments of the present application set the distance between the edge of the retaining wall structure 500 and the edge of the base layer 100 to be 0.2 mm to 0.3 mm, and even if the cracks are generated during the cutting process, the cracks generally do not affect the formed display panel 20 because the distance between the retaining wall structure 500 and the base layer 100 is sufficiently large. However, such a design increases the space in the frame area 24 of the display panel 20, and decreases the screen occupation ratio.
In other embodiments of the present application, the anti-crack structure 600 is disposed in the frame region 24 of the display panel 20, and the anti-crack structure 600 defined in the embodiments of the present application can effectively prevent cracks formed by the cutting process from affecting the frame region 24 of the display panel 20. In addition, the width of the frame region 24 can be reduced in the embodiments of the present application, such as the embodiments of the present application set the distance between the edge of the retaining wall structure 500 and the edge of the base layer 100 to be 0.1 mm to 0.15 mm, that is, the distance between the edge of the retaining wall structure 500 and the edge of the base layer 100 is greater than or equal to 0.1 mm and less than or equal to 0.15 mm. Thereby facilitating a narrow bezel design for the display panel 20.
In the embodiment of the present application, the first mounting hole 222 may be disposed in the inorganic layer 200, and the first mounting hole 222 may be disposed in the first inorganic layer 220. That is, the first inorganic layer 220 has a first mounting hole 222 formed through the first inorganic layer 220. And the first mounting hole 222 is formed at a portion where the second inorganic layer 240 is not stacked on the first inorganic layer 220.
In the embodiment of the present application, a second mounting hole 510 may be further disposed in the encapsulation layer 500, and the second mounting hole 510 may be disposed on the first inorganic encapsulation layer 520 and the second inorganic encapsulation layer 540, that is, the first inorganic encapsulation layer 520 and the second inorganic encapsulation layer 540 are disposed with the second mounting hole 510 penetrating through the first inorganic encapsulation layer 520 and the second inorganic encapsulation layer 540 in the thickness thereof. The first mounting hole 222 and the second mounting hole 510 communicate with each other.
The crack prevention structure 600 according to the embodiment of the present application may be disposed in the first mounting hole 222 and the second mounting hole 510. Wherein the first and second mounting holes 222 and 510 are located between the edge of the base layer 100 and the retaining wall structure 400, and the crack prevention structure 600 is located between the edge of the base layer 100 and the retaining wall structure 400.
In other embodiments of the present application, a mounting groove may be further formed on the base layer 100, such as a mounting groove 142 formed on the second PI layer 140. The mounting groove 142 communicates with the first mounting hole 222. The crack prevention structure 600 may also be disposed in the mounting groove 142. The mounting groove 142 may not penetrate through the second PI layer 140 in the thickness of the second PI layer 140, i.e., it is a blind hole.
It should be noted that, in the actual dicing process, the problem of crack propagation caused by dicing is mainly propagated on the first inorganic encapsulation layer 520, the second inorganic encapsulation layer 540, and the first inorganic layer 220. The crack control structure 600 is at least arranged in the first mounting hole 222 of the first inorganic layer 220 and the second mounting hole 510 of the packaging layer 500, so that crack extension can be effectively achieved. Further, the width of the frame region 24 of the display panel 20 can be reduced on the basis of effectively extending the cracks, which is beneficial to narrow frame design.
In order to increase the stability of the crack prevention structure 600, the embodiment of the present application may set the size of the cross section of the mounting groove 142 to be greater than the size of the cross section of the first mounting hole 222, and set the size of the cross section of the first mounting hole 222 to be greater than the size of the cross section of the second mounting hole 510. The mounting groove 142 may be an arc-shaped groove or a strip-shaped groove. The first mounting hole 222 and the second mounting hole 510 may each be a bar-shaped hole. It should be noted that the shapes of the mounting groove 142, the first mounting hole 222, and the second mounting hole 510 are not limited thereto.
The number of the first mounting holes 222 may be one or more, the number of the second mounting holes 510 may be one or more, the number of the mounting grooves 142 may be one or more, and the number of the mounting grooves 142, the number of the first mounting holes 222 and the number of the second mounting holes 510 are the same. The crack prevention structure may be one or more, and one crack prevention structure 600 may be disposed in one first mounting hole 222, one second mounting hole 510, and one mounting groove 142.
