Abstract

The invention discloses a folding scooter, the folding device of which comprises: a frame, two opposite bending grooves are respectively provided with a first inclined end and a second inclined end; the sliding seat is positioned at the rear end of the connecting pipe and comprises a hole positioned at the first end and two opposite grooves; an upper pivot for pivotally connecting the frame to the rear end of the connecting pipe and positioning the slide; a pin rod fixed to the second end of the slider and having either end passing through the slot and the curved slot to be positioned at either the first inclined end or the second inclined end; the operating piece is sleeved on the T-shaped handle; a pull rope, the second end of which is fixed on the operating piece; and an elastic element, the cover is in the position close to head of the stay cord; the pull rope movably penetrates through the steering tube, the front tube and the limiting piece to fix the head of the pull rope in a hole of the sliding seat, so that the elastic piece is arranged between the limiting piece and the sliding seat; in a state of being available for riding, the pin rod is locked at the second inclined end. However, the operation of said patent is not flexible, the assembly of the parts is too complex and the failure rate is high, and therefore, there is still a need for improvement.

the front end of the hollow connecting pipe is fixed on the front pipe and comprises a limiting piece and two opposite grooves, the limiting piece is fixed on the inner surface of the connecting pipe, and the two opposite grooves are respectively arranged on two sides of the rear end;
a rear wheel arranged at the rear end of the pedal;
a brake, which is arranged at the rear of the pedal and is positioned at the upper part of the rear wheel; and
a folding apparatus, comprising:
the folding device is arranged at the front end of the pedal and the rear end of the connecting pipe, and comprises:
a frame located at the front end of the pedal, the frame including two opposite curved slots respectively disposed at both sides, each curved slot having a first inclined end and a second inclined end;
a rectangular slide carriage located at the rear end of the connecting tube, the slide carriage including two opposing slots located at the first end and respectively disposed at both sides of the middle portion;
an upper pivot for pivotally connecting the frame to the rear end of the connecting pipe and positioning the slide;
a pin rod fixed to the second end of the slider and having either end passing through the slot and the curved slot to be positioned at either the first inclined end or the second inclined end;
the operating piece is sleeved on the lower part of the T-shaped handle;
a pull cord having a first end provided with a large head and a second end fixed to the operating member; and
the elastic piece is sleeved at the position of the pull rope close to the head;
the pull rope movably penetrates through the steering pipe, the front pipe and the limiting piece, and the head of the pull rope is fixed in a hole of the sliding seat, so that the elastic piece is arranged between the limiting piece and the sliding seat;
and the pin rod is locked at the second inclined end in a state that the scooter can be ridden after being unfolded.

Detailed Description
The following further describes embodiments of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings:
referring to fig. 1 to 4, the folding scooter provided in the embodiment includes: a T-shaped handle 11, the lower part of which is fixed to the upper part of a steering tube 12; a quick release lever 13 fixed to an upper portion of the T-shaped handle 11 so as to fix the T-shaped handle 11 and the steering tube 12 together; a head pipe 14 fixed to a lower portion of the steering pipe 12; a front fork 15 whose upper end is fixed to the front tube 14; a front wheel 12 provided in the front fork 15; a hollow connection tube 3, the front end of which is fixed to the front tube 14 and which includes a stopper 31 fixed to the inner surface of the connection tube 3, and two opposing grooves 32 respectively provided on both sides of the rear end; a rear wheel 15 provided at the rear end of the step 4; a brake 51 disposed behind the pedal 4 and above the rear wheel 5; and a folding device 6, which is a feature of the present invention, the components and features of which are described in detail below.
The folding device 6 is arranged at the front end of the pedal 4 and the rear end of the connecting pipe 3, and the folding device 6 comprises: a frame 61 located at the front end of the pedal 4, wherein the frame 61 comprises two opposite curved slots 611 respectively disposed at two sides, each curved slot 61 having a first inclined end 6111 and a second inclined end 6112 and two through holes 612 respectively located at two sides of the upper portion; a rectangular sliding base 62 located at the rear end of the connection tube 3, said sliding base 62 comprising a hole 621 located at the first end, two opposite slots 622 respectively located at both sides of the middle portion, and a through hole 623 located at the second end; an upper pivot 63 passing through the through hole 612, the slot 32 and the slot 622 to pivot the frame 61 at the rear end of the connecting tube 3 and to position the sliding base 62; a pin 64 fixed to the through hole 623 and having either end passing through the slot 32 and the curved slot 611 to be positioned at the first inclined end 6111 or the second inclined end 6112; an inner sleeve 65, which is sleeved on the lower part of the T-shaped handle 11; a sliding tube 66 sleeved on the inner sleeve 65; a pull cord 67 including a large head portion 671 at a first end thereof secured to the inner sleeve 65 and the slide tube 66 at a second end thereof; and a tension spring 68 fitted over the pull cord 67 near the head 671. The pull cord 67 is movably passed through the steerer tube 12, the head tube 14 and the stop member 31 and its head 671 is fixed to the hole 621 so that the tension spring 68 can be disposed between the stop member 31 and the slide 62.
As shown in fig. 1, the pin 64 is locked at the second inclined end 6112 when the scooter is unfolded for riding.
During the folding operation, the rider can move the slide tube 66 upward to pull the pull cord 67 upward, the slide carriage 62 moves toward the front tube 14 and compresses the tension spring 68 until the slide carriage 66 is stopped by the quick release lever 13, the pin 64 then disengages from the second inclined end 6112, the rider then moves the pin 64 forward a distance along the curved slot 611 while pivoting the steerer tube 12 (i.e., the connector tube 3) rearward about the pivot 63, and then releases the slide tube 66, and when the steerer tube 12 approaches the brake 51, the pin 64 drops to the bottom of the first inclined end 6111, at which point the folding operation is completed and the scooter is fixed in the folded position (see fig. 4).
The scooter can be deployed for riding by reversing the above steps.
The foregoing description is intended to be illustrative rather than limiting, and it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that many modifications, variations or equivalents may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.

Claims (4)

1. A folding scooter, comprising:
a T-shaped handle, the lower part of which is fixed to the upper part of a steering tube;
the quick release rod is fixed on the upper part of the T-shaped handle so as to fix the T-shaped handle and the steering pipe together;
a front pipe fixed to a lower portion of the steering pipe;
a front fork, the upper end of which is fixed on the front tube;
a front wheel disposed in the front fork;
the front end of the hollow connecting pipe is fixed on the front pipe and comprises a limiting piece and two opposite grooves, the limiting piece is fixed on the inner surface of the connecting pipe, and the two opposite grooves are respectively arranged on two sides of the rear end;
a rear wheel arranged at the rear end of the pedal;
a brake, which is arranged at the rear of the pedal and is positioned at the upper part of the rear wheel; and
a folding apparatus, comprising:
the folding device is arranged at the front end of the pedal and the rear end of the connecting pipe, and comprises:
a frame located at the front end of the pedal, the frame including two opposite curved slots respectively disposed at both sides, each curved slot having a first inclined end and a second inclined end;
a rectangular slide carriage located at the rear end of the connecting tube, the slide carriage including two opposing slots located at the first end and respectively disposed at both sides of the middle portion;
an upper pivot for pivotally connecting the frame to the rear end of the connecting pipe and positioning the slide;
a pin rod fixed to the second end of the slider and having either end passing through the slot and the curved slot to be positioned at either the first inclined end or the second inclined end;
the operating piece is sleeved on the lower part of the T-shaped handle;
a pull cord having a first end provided with a large head and a second end fixed to the operating member; and
the elastic piece is sleeved at the position of the pull rope close to the head;
the pull rope movably penetrates through the steering pipe, the front pipe and the limiting piece, and the head of the pull rope is fixed in a hole of the sliding seat, so that the elastic piece is arranged between the limiting piece and the sliding seat;
and the pin rod is locked at the second inclined end in a state that the scooter can be ridden after being unfolded.
2. The folding scooter of claim 1, wherein the elastic member is a tension spring.
3. The folding scooter of claim 1, wherein the operating member includes an inner sleeve fitted over a lower portion of the T-shaped handle, and a slide tube fitted over the inner sleeve.

The folding scooter of claim 3, wherein during the folding operation, the slide tube is moved upward to pull up the pull cord, and the slide seat is moved toward the front tube and compresses the elastic member until the slide seat is stopped by the quick release lever, the pin is then disengaged from the second inclined end, and then the pin is moved forward a distance along the curved groove, and simultaneously the steering tube is pivoted backward centering on the pivot shaft, and then the slide tube is released, and when the steering tube approaches the brake, the pin falls into the bottom of the first inclined end, thereby fixing the scooter in the folded position.
