Abstract

The present invention relates to cosmetic cleaning formulations. The cosmetic cleansing formulation comprises a) sodium cocoyl glycinate, and b) potassium cocoyl glycinate, characterized in that the weight ratio of sodium cocoyl glycinate to potassium cocoyl glycinate is from 3:1 to 1: 10. The formulations of the present invention can achieve a synergistic increase in foam volume and exhibit allows for skin moisturization comparable to water, and better skin moisturization values than soap-based cleansers.

Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of cosmetics, and in particular to cleaning formulations.
Background
The beautiful and charming appearance is a desire of many people. A typical sign of such appearance is a healthy, smooth looking skin. Therefore, in order to care for the skin, many people routinely apply cosmetics such as cleansing and moisturizing products.
Cosmetic cleansing products are used to remove dirt, sebum and perspiration from human skin. Surfactants are used as active ingredients, which allow the product to exert an effective cleaning action. Those skilled in the art are aware of many surfactants that can be used in cosmetic cleansing products. They can be subdivided into anionic, amphoteric, nonionic and cationic surfactants.
Cleansing formulations intended for facial cleansing require that the formulation be effective in cleansing while being mild. Therefore, only mild surfactants are included in such compositions. This means that strong surfactants such as sodium laureth sulfate are not typically included in mild facial cleansing formulations. Amino acid based surfactants are then a popular choice in providing mild cleansing formulations.
Documents CN104337734A and CN105997736A disclose various cleaning formulations comprising amino acid surfactants.
However, the fact that there are many products comprising amino acid surfactants should not mask these products still have many disadvantages.
Overall, many products containing amino acid surfactants still have poor foam quality. In particular, the total foam volume is often insufficient. Therefore, it is often necessary to add additional anionic surfactant, in particular sodium laureth sulfate, to ensure sufficient foam volume. However, this measure leads to more stringent formulations.
Thus, it remains desirable to provide cleansing formulations for human facial skin that allow higher lather volumes to be achieved while being very mild. In particular, ideally, the composition does not produce poorer skin moisture tester (corneometer) measurements on the skin than cleaning the skin with purified water.
A skin moisture tester is a measuring instrument for quantitatively determining skin moisture of an upper skin layer. It measures the capacitive ac resistance of the skin.
The applicant has surprisingly found that the above mentioned drawbacks can be solved by the present invention.

The cleaning formulation according to any of items 1 to 9, characterized in that the formulation comprises at least one emulsifier selected from steareth-20, steareth-21 and ceteth-20, such that the total amount of said emulsifier is preferably from 0.2 to 2 wt. -%, more preferably from 0.5 to 1.5 wt. -%, most preferably from 0.8 to 1.2 wt. -%, based on the total weight of the formulation.

It has surprisingly been found that by combining the ingredients of the present invention, a synergistic increase in foam volume can be achieved.
The foam volume was analyzed by:

The following examples will illustrate the invention but are not intended to limit the invention thereto. The values in the examples are weight percentages based on the total weight of the formulation. In another set of experiments, the moisture content of the skin after application of the product of the invention was analyzed and compared to washing the skin with water only.
A panel study was conducted with 8 healthy, two sex evaluators between the ages of 20 and 40.
Research and design:
1. measurements were made at 4 test sites (3.5X 3.5cm) on the inner sides of both forearms of the volunteers. Each zone is marked with a specially designed bushing.
2. The test site was wetted with a small amount of water, 0.1g of the formulation to be tested was applied and rubbed with a finger for 10 seconds with moderate intensity.

13. The cleaning formulation according to any one of claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the formulation contains polyisobutylene, such that the total amount of polyisobutylene is preferably 0.2 to 1 wt. -%, based on the total weight of the formulation.

A cleaning formulation according to any of claims 1 to 13, characterized in that the formulation further comprises a cationic surfactant in a total amount of less than 5 wt. -%, more preferably less than 2 wt. -%, more preferably less than 1 wt. -%, most preferably 0 wt. -%, based on the total weight of the formulation.
15. A cleaning formulation according to any one of claims 1 to 14, characterized in that the formulation comprises sodium laureth sulfate in a total amount of less than 5 wt. -%, more preferably less than 2 wt. -%, more preferably less than 1 wt. -%, most preferably 0 wt. -%, based on the total weight of the formulation.
16. Use of a cleaning formulation according to any one of claims 1 to 15 for cleaning human skin.
17. Use of a combination of sodium cocoyl glycinate and potassium cocoyl glycinate in a weight ratio of sodium cocoyl glycinate to potassium cocoyl glycinate of from 3:1 to 1:10, preferably from 2:1 to 1:4, most preferably from 1:1 to 1:2.3, for increasing the lather volume of a cosmetic cleansing formulation.
