The preparation method of the hole plugging mud ball suitable for industrial silicon smelting to produce silicon comprises the following steps: s1: mixing high clay, petroleum coke powder and electrode paste according to a certain proportion to obtain a mixture A; s2: adding a proper amount of water into the mixture A and fully stirring until the mixture A has certain viscosity. Obtaining a mixture B; s3: manually kneading the mixture B into a horn shape according to the size of each hearth furnace eye; s4: and naturally drying the trumpet-shaped mixture B to form the mud ball for plugging the eyes. The invention adopts the petroleum coke powder with lower iron content to replace part of high clay, thereby reducing the iron content of mud balls and laying a foundation for improving the product quality, when a furnace eye is opened, the mud balls in the furnace eye basically and completely enter silicon melt, the iron can be reduced by 0.030 percent and the titanium can be reduced by 0.002 percent by 2.8t silicon melt in each furnace, the impurity rate is reduced, and the secondary pollution of the product is avoided.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of silicon preparation, in particular to a preparation method of a hole plugging mud ball suitable for smelting silicon from industrial silicon.
Background
The hole-blocking mud ball is made by mixing high clay and carbonaceous materials in proportion, is horn-shaped, and is an important consumable material for blocking a furnace hole and preventing high-temperature silicon melt in a furnace from being discharged when silicon is discharged.
The silicon discharging furnace eye is an important channel for discharging silicon melt from an ore smelting furnace in the industrial silicon smelting process, the smelting operation of intermittent discharging is generally carried out for 1-1.5 hours after one hour of smelting, the furnace eye needs to be plugged and compacted by mud balls after discharging the high-temperature silicon melt after discharging is finished so as to prevent the high-temperature silicon melt from leaking and running out of the eye, most of the mud balls plugged in the furnace eye enter the silicon melt when the furnace eye is opened after discharging the silicon, and the product degradation can be caused after a large amount of the mud balls enter the silicon melt because the mud balls contain impurity elements such as iron, titanium and the like which cannot be removed during refining.
The mud ball adopted in the market is prepared by mixing high clay and electrode paste according to the ratio of 2-3:1, wherein the clay contains iron: 7.6%, titanium: 0.36 percent; the electrode paste contains 0.09% of iron and 0.52% of titanium, the iron content of the mud balls prepared by mixing is 5.9%, the titanium content of the mud balls is 0.52%, 5-8 mud balls are plugged in each time, each mud ball weighs about 5Kg, and when the furnace eye is opened, the mud balls in the furnace eye basically enter the silicon melt, so that secondary pollution is caused to the product.
Therefore, there is a need to provide a new method for preparing plugging mud balls suitable for silicon smelting in industrial silicon to solve the above technical problems.
