本发明涉及一种适用于建筑和汽车玻璃窗的红外和紫外辐射吸收兰色钠钙硅玻璃组合物。该玻璃的主波长约为485-492nm,色纯度约为3-18%。该玻璃还适用于浮法玻璃制造工艺。
红外和紫外辐射吸收着色玻璃基体具有不同的应用。特别是,这种玻璃可以用于建筑物窗玻璃以及被车辆设计人员用作汽车窗。除了提供美丽颜色以外,与常规的透明玻璃相比,这些玻璃还可以具有较高的太阳性能。

Morimoto等人的美国专利5344798公开了一种兰色玻璃组合物,它包含铁、硒、钛、锌、钴和锰。这些玻璃的主波长为495-505nm,色纯度为5-9%。

根据熔化操作的类型,可以在钠钙硅玻璃的配合料中加入硫,作为熔化和澄清助剂。工业上制得的浮法玻璃可以含有最高达约0.3重量%SO3。在含有铁和硫的玻璃组合物中,提供还原条件可以产生棕色,它会降低透光率,如Pecoraro等人的美国专利4792536中所说。但是可以认为在本文中所说的浮法玻璃组合物中产生这种颜色所需的还原条件局限于在浮法成型操作过程中与熔融锡接触的玻璃下表面约20微米,并且在更小的范围内局限于暴露的玻璃上表面。由于较低的硫含量和发生任何着色的有限的玻璃区域,根据特定的钠钙硅玻璃组合物,这些表面中的硫对玻璃颜色或光学性能没有任何实质性的作用。
应当明白如上所说,由于在熔融锡上形成玻璃,可以测出数量的氧化锡会迁移到与熔融锡接触的玻璃表面部分中。典型地,在与锡接触的玻璃下表面约25微米中浮法玻璃上的二氧化锡浓度至少为0.05-2%重量。典型的背景二氧化锡量可以高达30百万之一份(PPM)。可以认为在由熔融锡支撑的玻璃表面约10微米中较高的锡浓度会稍稍增加玻璃表面的反射率,但是对玻璃性能的总影响很小。

对于在表4-6中所给出的数据,表1中的实施例1-16和表3中的实施例30-34中的透光率(LTA)用带有C.I.E.2度观察器的C.I.E标准光源“A”测定,该光源在380-770nm波长范围内。太阳透过率(LTS)是采用C.I.E.2度观察器和在ASTM 891-87中所说的称重因子在380-770nm波长范围内测定的。根据主波长(DW)和色纯度(Pe)的玻璃颜色采用带有2度观察器的C.I.E标准光源“A”测定,遵照在ASTM E308-90中所说的方法。总太阳紫外透过率(TSUV)在300-400nm波长范围内测定,总的太阳红外透过率(TSIR)在720-2000nm波长范围内测定,总太阳能量透过率(TSET)在300-2000nm波长范围内测定。TSUV、TSIR和TSET透过率数据采用Parry Moon空气质量2.0直接太阳照射数据计算并且采用梯形原则积分,正如本领域内已知的那样。遮蔽系数(SC)是样品的总太阳热量增益与标准3mm(1/8英寸)厚透明玻璃参照物的总太阳热量增益之比,它是采用由lawrenceBerkeley Laboratory获得的Windows4.1计算机程序计算得到。在表4-6中的光学性能与表2中实施例17-29的性能是基于相同的波长范围和计算方法。
试样制备
表1中的信息是基于大约具有下列配合料成分的实验熔体:
砂子 500克
纯碱 162.8克
石灰石 42克
白云石 121克
芒硝 2.5克
Fe2O3 按需
Co3O4 按需将煤加入到每一种熔体中以调整氧化还原比。在制备熔体时,将成分称重并且在混合机中混合。将一半原料放在耐火氧化硅坩埚中并且加热到2650华氏度(1454℃)并保持30分钟。而后将余下的原料加入到坩埚中并且加热到2650华氏度(1454℃)并保持1小时。而后将熔融玻璃在水中制成熔块、干燥并且在铂金坩埚中再加热到2650华氏度(1454℃)达2小时。而后将熔融玻璃倒出坩埚,形成玻璃条并退火。从该玻璃条上切割下样品并且研磨、抛光,进行分析。
采用RIGAKU 3370 X-射线荧光光谱分析仪对玻璃组成进行化学分析。采用湿法化学技术测定实施例1-16的氧化亚铁含量,正如本领域内已知的那样。采用前面所说的玻璃颜色和光学性能计算机模型计算实施例30-34的氧化亚铁含量。采用Perkin-Elmer Lambda 9UV/VIS/NIR光谱分析仪对退火的样品玻璃的光学性能进行测定,而后再将玻璃钢化或向紫外辐射长时间暴露,因为这将会影响玻璃的光学性能。
下面是表1和3中所说的玻璃的基础氧化物,它是根据配合料配方计算出来的,它落在前面所说的本发明的基础玻璃组成中。

在本发明的另一种实施方案中,该玻璃的红外和紫外辐射吸收材料和着色剂包含约0.50-0.60%重量总铁、约4-12PPM CoO、0-100PPMCr2O3和0-0.50%重量TiO2并且氧化还原比为约0.45-0.50。在一种特定的实施方案中,该玻璃仅仅含有痕量Cr2O3和最高达约0.021%重量TiO2。此外该玻璃在约0.154英寸厚度下具有至少70%透光率(LTA)、不超过60%的TSUV;不超过约30%的TSIR和/或不超过约50%的TSET。该玻璃的颜色特征在于主波长为约487-489nm、色纯度约为7-10%。
本发明所说的以及通过浮法工艺制得的玻璃通常板厚度为约1mm-10mm。
对于车辆窗玻璃运用来说,优选地具有所说组成的玻璃板其厚度为0.071-0.197英寸(1.8-Smm)。可以认为当采用单块玻璃时,应将玻璃钢化,例如用于汽车侧面和后面窗玻璃时,并且当采用多层玻璃时,该玻璃应被退火并且采用热塑性粘接剂夹层在一起,例如采用聚乙烯丁醛中间层将退火的玻璃板夹层在一起而形成汽车风挡玻璃,其中至少一层玻璃是具有所说组成的玻璃板。此外当玻璃用于汽车选定区域,例如风挡和前门窗以及后窗中时,需要该玻璃具有至少70%的LTA。另外在本发明中所说的玻璃组合物在约0.154英寸厚度下具有不超过60%,优选地为不超过57%的的TSUV;不超过约35%,优选地不超过约30%的TSIR和/或不超过约55%,优选地不超过约50%的TSET。
在建筑玻璃运用中,通常对于玻璃的太阳透过率(LTS)没有法定要求;但是在本发明中,优选地在约0.223英寸厚度下该玻璃约60-70%,优选地为63-67%的LTS以及不超过约0.70,优选地为不超过约0.65的遮蔽系数。
可以认为该玻璃的光学性能在玻璃钢化以及进一步长时间向紫外辐射暴露,即通常所说的太阳化作用以后会发生一些变化。特别是,可以认为本发明中所说的玻璃组合物的钢化和太阳化作用会使LTA,LTS和TSIR降低约0.5-1%,使TSUV降低约1-2%以及使TSIR降低约0.5-1.5%。结果,在本发明的一个实施方案中,该玻璃的选定的光学性能一开始会落在前面所说的范围外,但是在钢化和/或太阳化作用以后会落在合适的范围内。
还可以认为由于透过率和太阳透过率(LTA和LTS)因这些条件而降低,为了保持透过率高于所需的最小值,生产后玻璃的起始LTA或LTS应足够高,从而任何由于钢化和太阳化作用而引起的损失都不会使透过率降低到不可接受的水平。
可以采用钒来部分或全部替代本发明的玻璃组合物中的铬。更进一步地说,用V2O5表示的钒使玻璃具有黄绿色并且在不同的价态下吸收紫外和红外辐射。可以相信在上述约100PPM的Cr2O3可以完全由约400PPM V2O5替代。
如前所说,还可以将其它材料加入到玻璃组合物中,以进一步降低红外和紫外辐射透过率和/或控制玻璃颜色。包含铬和锰已经在前面说明了。可以认为可以将下列材料加入到所说的含有铁和钴的钠钙硅玻璃中:
SnO2 0-2.0%重量
CeO2 0-1.0%重量
TiO2 0-0.5%重量
ZnO 0-0.5%重量
Nd2O3 0-0.5%重量
MoO3 0-100 PPM
NiO 0-10 PPM
Se 0-3 PPM应当明白,由于这些附加材料的任何着色和/或氧化还原比的影响作用,可以对玻璃的基础成分进行调整。
其它对于熟悉本领域内的技术人员已知的变化应被认为没有脱离本发明由后面的权利要求书所限定的范围。
Claims (29)
1.一种兰色红外和紫外吸收玻璃组合物,其组成包括下列基础玻璃部分:
SiO2 66-75重量%
Na2O 10-20重量%
CaO 5-15重量%
MgO 0-5重量%
Al2O3 0-5重量%
K2O 0-5重量%和由下列成分组成的太阳辐射吸收和着色部分:
总铁 0.40-1.0%重量
CoO 4-40PPM
Cr2O3 0-100PPM该玻璃的氧化还原比大于0.35,最高达0.60,透光率至少为55%,颜色特征为主波长为485-489nm,色纯度为3-18%,并且其中在0.154英寸的厚度下该玻璃的总太阳紫外透过率为60%或更低,总太阳红外透过率为35%或更低,总太阳能量透过率为55%或更低。
2.如权利要求1所说的玻璃组合物,其中总铁浓度为0.50-0.75%重量并且氧化还原比为0.36-0.50。

4.如权利要求3所说的玻璃组合物,其中该玻璃的颜色特征在于其主波长为487-489nm,并且厚度为0.071-0.126英寸的玻璃其色纯度为3-8%;厚度为0.126-0.189英寸的玻璃具有5-12%的色纯度;厚度为0.189-0.315英寸的玻璃具有10-18%的色纯度。
5.如权利要求4所说的玻璃组合物,其中该玻璃的透光率为70%以上或更高。
6.如权利要求4所说的玻璃组合物,其中在0.223英寸的厚度下该玻璃的太阳透过率为55-70%,遮蔽系数为0.70或更低。
7.如权利要求1所说的玻璃组合物,其中CoO浓度为4-20PPM。
8.一种兰色红外和紫外吸收玻璃组合物,其组成包括下列基础玻璃部分:
SiO2 66-75重量%
Na2O 10-20重量%
CaO 5-15重量%
MgO 0-5重量%
Al2O3 0-5重量%
K2O 0-5重量%和由下列成分组成的太阳辐射吸收和着色部分:
总铁 0.40-1.0%重量
CoO 4-40PPM
Cr2O3 25-100PPM该玻璃的氧化还原比大于0.35,最高达0.60,透光率至少为55%,颜色特征为主波长为485-489nm,色纯度为3-18%,并且其中在0.154英寸的厚度下该玻璃的总太阳紫外透过率为60%或更低,总太阳红外透过率为35%或更低,总太阳能量透过率为55%或更低。

12.如权利要求11所说的玻璃组合物,其中在0.223英寸的厚度下该玻璃的太阳透过率为63-67%,遮蔽系数为0.65或更低。
13.如权利要求1所说的玻璃组合物,其中该玻璃的颜色特征在于其主波长为487-489nm。
14.如权利要求1所说的玻璃组合物,其中该玻璃的颜色特征在于厚度为0.071-0.126英寸的玻璃其色纯度为3-8%;厚度为0.126-0.189英寸的玻璃具有5-12%的色纯度;厚度为0.189-0.315英寸的玻璃具有10-18%的色纯度。
15.一种玻璃板,它是由权利要求1所说的玻璃组合物通过浮法工艺制成的。
16.一种汽车挡风玻璃,它是由至少一块权利要求15所说的玻璃板制成的。
17.如权利要求15所说的玻璃板,其中该板的厚度为1.8-10mm。
18.一种兰色红外和紫外吸收玻璃组合物,其组成包括下列基础玻璃部分:
SiO2 66-75重量%
Na2O 10-20重量%
