The storage battery has wide application range, and provides electric energy for starting and lighting the automobile if being loaded on the automobile; the storage battery used at present is mainly a lead storage battery. Lead storage batteries, however, face several problems in manufacture and use.
For example, after a battery is used for a long time, hydrogen and oxygen are generated, and the internal pressure of the battery case becomes large. And as the service life of the battery is over, internal heat is generated, which further increases the internal pressure.
It can be seen that the generation of hydrogen and oxygen and the excessive internal pressure due to internal heat at the end of life are respectively included in the two battery periods. At present, for the use of lead storage batteries, people generally can only judge the actual use state of the batteries, but have no way of monitoring the change of the storage batteries, and particularly, a user does not know what state the batteries are in at present.
Disclosure of Invention
Aiming at solving the problem that the storage battery normally discharges hydrogen and oxygen according to the step 1; 2. discharging the electrolyte and relieving the internal pressure; 3. and (5) detecting the two situations.

When the storage battery shell is produced, the piston 5 in the figure 1 needs to be placed at the bottom of the cylinder 4, and enough space is reserved at the top of the cylinder 4 for stroke buffering. And when the installation is carried out, the sealing shell 6 is ensured to be vertically arranged so as to prevent the sodium carbonate in the reticular framework 8 from being poured. For fixing the sodium carbonate, a sponge or other material with a mesh-like skeleton can be used.
When the battery is normally used, hydrogen and oxygen are generated after the battery is assembled as shown in fig. 1, so that the internal pressure of the case 1 is increased, and then the gas is discharged into the pipe 31 through the safety valve 3. As the air pressure in the through pipe 31 gradually increases, the piston 5 will be pushed to move slowly. Here, it should be noted that: the distance that the piston 5 moves within the cylinder 4 is determined to determine whether a new battery has been charged a number of times.
With normal use and after being charged and discharged for many times, the generated gas can push the piston 5 to move until the accumulated gas meets the first and second check valves 42, the gas is released into the sealed shell 6 through the second check valve 42 and then is discharged through the through hole 72 and the vent hole 74 of the normally open pressure limiting valve 7.
If the battery is used normally, the generated gas is always discharged to the atmosphere through such a passage. As the life of the battery is reduced, not only gas but also more heat is generated during the charging and discharging process, which further causes more gas to overflow, and since one second check valve 42 is not enough to satisfy the discharge, it is inevitable to further push the piston 5 to move further, even to move to the second check valve 42. Here, the user can determine whether the state of the battery is normal according to the position where the piston 5 moves.
When the temperature of the battery is increased sharply or the battery shell is damaged, electrolytic acid liquid flows out, so that the acid liquid can flow out from the safety valve 3 and then overflow from the second one-way valve 42, and further carbon dioxide is generated by reaction with sodium carbonate, when a large amount of carbon dioxide is generated, the pressure limiting valve 7 can be directly sealed, specifically, the movable plug 71 is moved upwards to block the exhaust hole 74, so that the pressure in the pressure release valve 6 is increased suddenly, and then the gas enters the cylinder 4 through the first one-way valve 41, so that the piston 5 is further pushed to move. Along with the movement of the piston 5 and the reaction of the acid liquor, the internal high pressure is relieved, the pressure limiting valve 7 is opened, and high-pressure gas is discharged.
It follows that, in any case, the movement of the piston 5 is promoted. Therefore, the user can observe the position of the piston 5 only through the transparent cylinder 4 and the sealed shell 6, and further judge the current actual state of the battery. It should be noted here that if the pressure in the sealed housing 6 is too high, it will be vented through a relief valve to prevent explosion.
