Description
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a server maintenance method, apparatus, device, and machine-readable storage medium.
Background
In the server domain, management can be divided into in-band and out-of-band management. In-band management: and monitoring the machine through the main CPU. Generally, a piece of management software needs to be installed on the computer, so the management is called Agent management. The reason for the in-band management is performed by the main CPU, so that theoretically all information can be acquired, and the functions are complete. Managing outside the band: the machine is monitored without the main CPU, and the machine is monitored by the BMC management device. This method is called Agentless management because it does not require any software to be installed on the main CPU. Since many resources are not directly accessible, functionality is relatively weak with respect to in-band management.
The BMC Management device (Baseboard Management Controller) implements out-of-band Management functions and can be a Controller for implementing Platform Management (Platform Management). Platform management represents a series of monitoring and control functions, and the object of operation is system hardware. Such as by monitoring the temperature, voltage, fan, power supply, etc. of the system and making adjustments to ensure that the system is in a healthy state. Meanwhile, the platform management is also responsible for recording information and log records of various hardware and is used for prompting a user and positioning subsequent problems. The BMC management device is an independent system, does not depend on other hardware (such as a CPU, a memory and the like) on the system, or on the BIOS, an OS and the like, but can interact with the BIOS and the OS, so that a better platform management effect can be achieved, and system management software under the OS can cooperate with the BMC management device to achieve a better management effect.
The following scenarios are cumbersome to maintain: the firmware updating operation of each component on the server equipment is required to be executed, but the number of the related components of the server is large, the firmware updating requires the distinction between an in-band and an out-band, and the condition of binding an operating system exists in the case of the in-band updating; an update operation is required for the configuration. Especially, when the mainboard is maintained, the current configuration needs to be imported simultaneously, and even some special information needs to be refreshed on the updated mainboard; when the server fails, the server may not be connected remotely, and the device log information cannot be or is not easy to obtain; when the server normally operates, the component health diagnosis function is not usually integrated, and it is not easy to determine which position has what fault. At present, effective means are lacked to reduce the maintenance difficulty of the scenes
