Description

Mandibular advancement appliance and manufacturing method thereof
Technical Field
The invention relates to an oral cavity corrector, in particular to a mandibular advancement corrector and a manufacturing method thereof.
Background
Sleep Apnea Syndrome (SAS) is a sleep disorder in which breathing stops during sleep. The most common cause is upper airway obstruction, often ending with loud snoring, body twitching, or arm whipping. Sleep apnea is associated with sleep deficits, daytime sleepiness, fatigue, and bradycardia or arrhythmia and electroencephalographic awakening states.
A common Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is caused by the relaxation of soft tissue near the throat, which causes obstruction of the upper airway, and a narrowing of the airway that causes sleep Apnea. The solution is that the lower jaw of a patient is limited to a proper front extension position in sleep, and the genioglossus muscle drives the hyoid bone and the tongue body to move forwards, so that the air passage of the glossopharyngeal part is smooth; meanwhile, the tongue body moves forwards, so that the compression of the tongue body on the soft palate and the uvula is reduced or eliminated, the palatopharyngeal airway is also unblocked, and the ventilation is improved.
The upper respiratory tract can be opened by wearing the mandibular advancement appliance, so that the ventilation of the patient can be improved, and the sleep apnea syndrome of the patient can be effectively improved. In the present clinical situation, insufficient wearing compliance of patients is a key factor affecting prognosis. The traditional mandibular advancement appliance has the functions of adjusting and fixing by connecting the connecting rods between the upper jaw and the lower jaw, the protruded connecting parts stimulate the mucous membrane of a patient to a certain extent, and have strong foreign body sensation to cause discomfort of the patient, which often affects the wearing desire of the patient, thereby greatly reducing the treatment effect, and the precision of the appliance is still insufficient in clinical use.
Chinese patent application CN202761517U discloses an adjustable mandibular advancement appliance for treating benign snoring and mild-moderate sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome snoring, which comprises an upper dental brace and a lower dental brace, wherein the lower surface of the upper dental brace is provided with a first connecting block, the upper surface of the lower dental brace is provided with a second connecting block, and the first connecting block and the second connecting block are connected through a connecting shaft. One end of the connecting shaft is connected with one of the connecting blocks through a meshed thread structure, and the other end of the connecting shaft is connected with the other connecting block. The oral appliance provided by the utility model can provide accurate mandibular displacement according to the actual requirements of users, thereby effectively treating sleep snoring; but the connecting shaft greatly limits the opening and closing of the upper tooth socket and the lower tooth socket, the tooth socket needs to be adjusted firstly, then the user actively cooperates with the adjusted tooth socket, after the tooth socket is worn, any activity cannot be carried out, the adjusting operation is complex, the treatment experience of the patient is influenced, and the discomfort of the patient is caused.
In summary, the conventional apparatus has the following problems: the adjustment, grinding and modification need to be performed in a relatively long time during clinical treatment, and the efficiency is low; the traditional mandibular advancement appliance is provided with a belt-adjusting type upper and lower mandible connecting part, which is not accurate enough to plan from the perspective of achieving a certain treatment effect by means of staged treatment; the raised parts not only physically stimulate mucous membranes, but also have the defect of sanitary dead angles caused by difficult cleaning and are not beneficial to oral health; the flexibility of the device is extremely poor, the comfort of the patient is insufficient, the compliance is poor, and the treatment effect is greatly reduced.
Therefore, there is a need for a mandibular advancement appliance that is easy to operate, has good adaptability and high flexibility, and can be flexibly designed and adjusted according to actual needs, and a manufacturing method thereof.
