natural plant binder: 5 parts of guar gum and okra pectin, wherein the mass ratio of the guar gum to the okra pectin is 1: 5;
5 parts of silicon dioxide;
8 parts of natural plant activated carbon;
water: the using amount of water accounts for 18 percent of the total mass of the mixed materials;
the bagasse modified super absorbent resin, corn flour, natural plant binder, silicon dioxide, activated carbon and water are fully mixed.
(2) Molding: placing the mixed materials in a forming device to obtain a cylindrical formed product; the pellets were obtained by means of a YC100L-4 model pelletizer to obtain a cylindrical molded product having a suitable shape and compactness.
(3) And (3) cooling: the molded product was laid on the ground until cooled to room temperature to stably maintain its shape.
(4) Crushing: and crushing the cooled formed product by using a crusher, and forming an irregular cylinder after crushing the formed product.
(5) Screening: and screening the crushed molding product, wherein particles with the particle size of 2-2.5 mm and the length of 10-20 mm are screened. The cat litter particles of this size conform to the cat-paw gap, the cat foot feels comfortable, and the caking strength is good.
The cat litter prepared by the method can absorb water which is 5-6 times of the weight of the cat litter, can meet the water absorption capacity of high-quality cat litter on the market at present without adding water absorbing materials, and is better than common plant cat litter. The adopted natural plant binder has good binding effect, is not easy to generate dust, protects the respiratory system of the cat, and simultaneously ensures the natural safety of the prepared cat litter product.
Example 3: preparation of high water absorption cat litter
Firstly, preparing bagasse modified high water absorption resin, comprising the following steps:
s1, crushing bagasse, which is a byproduct in sugar industry, to 90 meshes, and pretreating the bagasse: placing bagasse in an alkaline high-temperature environment for cooking, drying after pretreatment, and crushing; the pretreatment conditions are as follows: NaOH aqueous solution with 4mol/L alkaline environment, the temperature is 115 ℃, and the time is 70 min;
s2, modifying the bagasse powder obtained in the step S1 to prepare a super absorbent resin: the method comprises the following steps of synthesizing the super absorbent resin by using bagasse, kaolin and acrylic acid as main raw materials, ammonium persulfate as an initiator and N, N' -methylene-bisacrylamide as a cross-linking agent through a solution graft polymerization method; the modification conditions are as follows: acrylic acid is neutralized by sodium hydroxide aqueous solution until the neutralization degree is 65%, the mass ratio of ammonium persulfate to bagasse is 12%, the mass ratio of N, N' -methylene bisacrylamide to bagasse is 5%, the mass ratio of acrylic acid to bagasse is 11%, and the mass ratio of kaolin to bagasse is 4%, so that the water absorption capacity of the super absorbent resin prepared by the mixture ratio is 556 g/g.
(II) preparing the high water absorption cat litter, which comprises the following steps:
(1) preparing materials: preparing the following components in parts by weight:
70 parts of bagasse modified super absorbent resin;
corn flour: 15 parts of common corn flour and 10 parts of modified corn starch;
natural plant binder: 3 parts of guar gum and okra pectin, wherein the mass ratio of the guar gum to the okra pectin is 1: 3;
3 parts of silicon dioxide;
6 parts of natural plant activated carbon;
water: the using amount of water accounts for 15% of the total mass of the mixed materials;
the bagasse modified super absorbent resin, corn flour, natural plant binder, silicon dioxide, activated carbon and water are fully mixed.
(2) Molding: placing the mixed materials in a forming device to obtain a cylindrical formed product; the pellets were obtained by means of a YC100L-4 model pelletizer to obtain a cylindrical molded product having a suitable shape and compactness.
(3) And (3) cooling: the molded product was laid on the ground until cooled to room temperature to stably maintain its shape.
(4) Crushing: and crushing the cooled formed product by using a crusher, and forming an irregular cylinder after crushing the formed product.
(5) Screening: and screening the crushed molding product, wherein particles with the particle size of 2-2.5 mm and the length of 10-20 mm are screened. The cat litter particles of this size conform to the cat-paw gap, the cat foot feels comfortable, and the caking strength is good.
The cat litter prepared by the method can absorb water which is 6-7 times of the weight of the cat litter, can meet the water absorption capacity of high-quality cat litter on the market at present without adding water absorbing materials, and is better than common plant cat litter. The adopted natural plant binder has good binding effect, is not easy to generate dust, protects the respiratory system of the cat, and simultaneously ensures the natural safety of the prepared cat litter product.
Performance comparison of the Cat litters prepared in examples 1-3 with commercial Cat litters
The urine absorption performance calculation formula is as follows:
in the formula: m represents the weight g of the product after completely absorbing urine of the pet cat; m represents the weight g of the product without absorbing urine from pet cats.

Claims (6)
1. The high-water-absorptivity cat litter is characterized by being prepared by mixing the following components in parts by weight, molding, cooling, crushing and screening: 50-80 parts of bagasse modified super absorbent resin, 10-20 parts of corn flour, 1-5 parts of natural plant binder, 1-5 parts of silicon dioxide, 2-8 parts of activated carbon and water, wherein the amount of the water accounts for 12-18% of the total mass of the mixed materials;
the bagasse modified high-water-absorptivity resin is prepared by the method comprising the following steps:
s1, preprocessing bagasse: placing bagasse in an alkaline high-temperature environment for cooking, drying after pretreatment, and crushing; the pretreatment conditions are as follows: NaOH aqueous solution with the alkaline environment of 3-5 mol/L is adopted, the temperature is 110-120 ℃, and the time is 1-1.5 h;
s2, modifying the bagasse powder obtained in the step S1 to prepare a super absorbent resin: the method comprises the following steps of synthesizing the super absorbent resin by using bagasse, kaolin and acrylic acid as main raw materials, ammonium persulfate as an initiator and N, N' -methylene-bisacrylamide as a cross-linking agent through a solution graft polymerization method; the modification conditions are as follows: the neutralization degree of acrylic acid and an alkali solution is 60-75%, the mass ratio of ammonium persulfate to bagasse is 10-15%, the mass ratio of N, N' -methylene bisacrylamide to bagasse is 3-6%, the mass ratio of acrylic acid to bagasse is 8-15%, and the mass ratio of kaolin to bagasse is 3-6%, so that the water absorption capacity of the super absorbent resin prepared according to the proportion is 450-556 g/g.
2. The high water absorption cat litter according to claim 1, wherein the bagasse has a particle size of 80-100 mesh.
3. The high water absorption cat litter according to claim 1, wherein the corn flour is a mixture of common corn flour and modified corn starch, and the mass ratio of the common corn flour to the modified corn starch is 0.49-0.54.
4. The high-water-absorptivity cat litter according to claim 1, wherein the natural plant binder is a mixture of guar gum and okra pectin, and the mass ratio of the guar gum to the okra pectin is 1: 1-5.
5. The super absorbent cat litter according to claim 1, wherein said activated carbon is natural plant activated carbon.
6. The high water absorption cat litter according to claim 1, wherein the high water absorption cat litter is prepared by a method comprising the following steps:
(1) preparing materials: fully mixing the bagasse modified super absorbent resin, corn flour, a natural plant binder, silicon dioxide, activated carbon and water;
(2) molding: placing the mixed materials in a forming device to obtain a cylindrical formed product;
(3) and (3) cooling: spreading the formed product on the ground until the formed product is cooled to room temperature;
(4) crushing: crushing the cooled formed product by a crusher, and forming an irregular cylinder after crushing the formed product;
(5) screening: and screening the crushed molding product, wherein particles with the particle size of 2-2.5 mm and the length of 10-20 mm are screened.
