Description

Network connection management method and terminal equipment
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a network connection management method and a terminal device.
Background
An eSIM (embedded-SIM, also called electronic SIM) card is a new generation SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card technology, and is basically characterized in that SIM card data is downloaded and installed in a terminal device through a network transmission manner. In order to realize the downloading function of the electronic SIM card, the terminal needs to have networking capability. However, the electronic SIM card itself is used for networking, and in the case that the electronic SIM card is not obtained yet, an additional method is required for networking the terminal.
For a consumer terminal, networking can be performed through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and the like, and for a terminal of the Internet of things, the conditions are probably not met. In order to solve the problem of initial network connection of the terminal of the internet of things, an electronic SIM card needs to be preset for the terminal, the electronic SIM card is a special electronic SIM card, the electronic SIM card is preset in the terminal before the terminal leaves a factory, the function of the electronic SIM card is similar to that of a common electronic SIM card, and the terminal can have networking capability.
The communication module is a common module integrating software and hardware in the terminal of the internet of things. The communication module can be seen as a separate computing subsystem comprising a separate communication processor, memory and associated software, etc., mainly for the purpose of encapsulating the functionality required for mobile communication, thereby simplifying the design of the terminal. In the internet of things terminal, a processor is needed in addition to the communication module to execute the application function, and the processor is called an application processor. The application processor and the communication module generally communicate with each other through an AT instruction set (AT instruction set), and the communication instruction includes SIM card information query, network parameter configuration, network connection control, network connection status query, data transceiving, and the like.
The existing communication module does not use a prepared electronic SIM card, only a formal electronic SIM card, and the network connection management behaviors (such as enabling, disabling, connecting, disconnecting, inquiring, data transceiving and the like) of the communication module are completely controlled by an application processor through AT instructions. After the communication module uses the prepared electronic SIM card, because the network connection related to the preparation of the electronic SIM card is not controlled by the application processor, another set of network connection management function needs to be provided for the preparation of the electronic SIM card, so that the prepared electronic SIM card and the formal electronic SIM card cannot cooperate, and the complexity of network connection management is correspondingly increased.
Therefore, it is an urgent need to solve the problem to provide a network connection management scheme that can make the prepared electronic SIM card work in cooperation with the official electronic SIM card.

Detailed Description
To make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present disclosure more apparent, specific embodiments of the present disclosure are described below in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating the present disclosure, are given by way of illustration and explanation only, not limitation.
The inventors have found that when the communication module uses a prepared electronic SIM card, the prepared electronic SIM card is not visible to the application processor, i.e. the application processor cannot query the information of the prepared electronic SIM card, cannot control the connection status of the prepared electronic SIM card, and cannot send and receive data via the network connection established by the prepared electronic SIM card. Moreover, the formal electronic SIM card is either not present (not yet downloaded installed) or is in an alternative relationship to the preparation of the electronic SIM card, namely: when the electronic SIM card is prepared to be activated, the formal electronic SIM card needs to be deactivated; and vice versa. The "not present" state is for the application processor whether the formal electronic SIM card is not present or deactivated.
In order to solve the above problem, embodiments of the present disclosure provide a network connection management scheme that enables a preparation electronic SIM card to work with a formal electronic SIM card, and will be described in detail below with specific embodiments.
Fig. 1 is a schematic flowchart of a network connection management method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 1, the method includes the following steps S101 to S104.
S101, when a mobile network needs to be accessed, a communication processor in a communication module is accessed into the mobile network through a prepared electronic SIM card preset in the communication module;
s102, the communication processor is connected with an SIM card management server, acquires a formal electronic SIM card ID (IDentity identification number, abbreviation of IDentity) from the SIM card management server, compares the formal electronic SIM card ID with the formal electronic SIM card ID installed in the communication module, deactivates the prepared electronic SIM card and activates the formal electronic SIM card if the formal electronic SIM card ID is the same as the formal electronic SIM card ID installed in the communication module, and tries to connect a mobile network by using the formal electronic SIM card;
s103, the application processor sends a network connection management action request to the communication processor;
s104, the communication processor checks whether the electronic SIM card in the activated state is a ready electronic SIM card, if so, the communication processor returns the absence of the formal electronic SIM card or the network is not connected to the application processor according to different network connection management behavior requests; and if not, responding to the network connection management behavior requested by the application processor.
In step S102, after the communication processor accesses the mobile network by preparing the electronic SIM card, the communication processor connects to the SIM card management server and sends a request for obtaining a formal SIM card ID to the SIM card management server, and the SIM card management server returns the formal SIM card ID to the communication processor after receiving the request, and if the formal SIM card ID returned by the SIM card management server is not empty and is the same as the formal electronic SIM card ID installed in the terminal device, the communication processor deactivates the prepared electronic SIM card, activates the formal electronic SIM card, and attempts to connect the mobile network with the formal electronic SIM card.
In step S102, if the comparison result is different, the communication processor connects the SIM card management server again, obtains the formal electronic SIM card ID from the SIM card management server, compares the formal electronic SIM card ID with the formal electronic SIM card ID installed in the communication module until the comparison result is the same, and then performs subsequent steps such as deactivating the electronic SIM card.
In the embodiment of the disclosure, the electronic SIM card is prepared and can be preset in the communication module when the communication module is produced, or preset in the communication module in the terminal device when the terminal device is produced; and downloading and installing the formal electronic SIM card in the terminal equipment after the terminal equipment is put into use.
In a specific embodiment, before step S101, the following steps S105 and S106 are further included.
S105, the communication processor tries to connect the mobile network by using the electronic SIM card which is in the activated state;
s106, the communication processor judges whether the network connection is successful, if the network connection is failed due to any reason, the type flag value of the electronic SIM card in the current activation state is read to acquire whether the electronic SIM card in the current activation state is a formal electronic SIM card, if so, the formal electronic SIM card is deactivated, the electronic SIM card is prepared to be activated, and then the step S101 is executed.
In step S106, if the network connection is successful, the current step is skipped and step S103 is directly executed; if the electronic SIM card currently in the activated state is not the official electronic SIM card, which indicates that the electronic SIM card currently in the activated state is the ready electronic SIM card, that is, the ready electronic SIM card is already in the activated state, step S101 is directly executed.
Because each SIM card contains a type flag value to indicate whether it is a prepared electronic SIM card or a formal electronic SIM card, each SIM card also corresponds to an SIM card ID as its identifier, and the communication processor stores the electronic SIM card ID currently in an activated state, the communication processor can find the corresponding electronic SIM card based on the electronic SIM card ID currently in an activated state stored therein, and obtain its type flag value from the corresponding electronic SIM card, thereby obtaining whether the electronic SIM card currently in an activated state is a formal electronic SIM card or a prepared electronic SIM card.
In one embodiment, before step S105, the following step S107 is further included:
s107, the communication processor inquires whether the ID of the electronic SIM card in the activated state exists in the communication processor, and if so, the step S105 is executed; if not, the electronic SIM card is prepared to be activated, the ID of the electronic SIM card is stored, and then the step S105 is executed.
In a specific embodiment, between steps S102 and S103, the following step S108 is further included:
s108, the communication processor starts a timer, and tries to connect the mobile network by using the formal electronic SIM card for multiple times in the timing process of the timer until the network is successfully connected before the timing of the timer is finished, and then jumps out of the current step and executes the subsequent steps S103 and S104; or if the connection to the network still fails after the timer expires, the electronic SIM card is prepared to be reactivated, and the process returns to step S102.
In step S108, after the communication processor starts the timer, the mobile network is connected to the formal electronic SIM card for multiple times in the process of timing by the timer, and if the mobile network is connected to the formal electronic SIM card successfully before the timing of the timer is over (i.e. before timeout), the current step is skipped, and steps S103 and S104 are directly executed; if the mobile network still fails to be connected by using the formal electronic SIM card after the timer finishes timing (namely after time is out), the electronic SIM card is prepared to be reactivated, the step S102 is returned, the communication processor is connected with the SIM card management server again, and then the subsequent steps are executed until the mobile network is successfully connected by using the formal electronic SIM card before the timer finishes timing again, and then the steps S103 and S104 are executed. Of course, before the timer finishes timing, even if the mobile network is failed to be connected by using the formal electronic SIM card, the communication processor does not immediately reactivate the prepared electronic SIM card, but the prepared electronic SIM card is reactivated when the mobile network is still failed to be connected by using the formal electronic SIM card after the timer finishes timing.
In one embodiment, if the application processor sends the network connection management action request to the communication processor in step S103, the method includes: requesting to read the state of the SIM card, or requesting to enable the SIM card, or requesting to disable the SIM card, or requesting to connect the mobile network through the SIM card, the communication processor returns to the application processor that the formal electronic SIM card does not exist and does not perform any operation in the case that the electronic SIM card currently in the activated state is the standby electronic SIM card in step S104.
If the application processor sends the network connection management action request to the communication processor in step S103, the method includes: requesting to query the current network connection state, and returning network disconnection to the application processor by the communication processor in step S104 when the electronic SIM card currently in the activated state is the standby electronic SIM card;
if the application processor sends the network connection management action request to the communication processor in step S103, the method includes: requesting to receive data or send data through the network connection established by the SIM card, the communication processor returns a network unconnected state to the application processor in step S104 without performing any operation if the electronic SIM card currently in an active state is the standby electronic SIM card.
Fig. 2 is a schematic flowchart of another network connection management method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 2, the method includes the following steps S201 to S207.
S201, when a mobile network needs to be accessed, the communication processor inquires whether an electronic SIM card ID in an activated state exists in the communication processor, and if so, the step S202 is executed; if not, activating the electronic SIM card, storing the ID of the electronic SIM card, and executing the step S202;
s202, the communication processor tries to connect the mobile network by using the electronic SIM card in the current activation state, judges whether the network connection is successful, reads the type mark value of the electronic SIM card in the current activation state if the network connection is failed so as to acquire whether the electronic SIM card in the current activation state is a formal electronic SIM card, deactivates the formal electronic SIM card if the electronic SIM card in the current activation state is the formal electronic SIM card, activates the prepared electronic SIM card, and then accesses the mobile network by preparing the electronic SIM card;
in this step, if the network connection is successful, the current step is skipped, and steps S205 to S207 are directly executed; if the electronic SIM card in the activated state is not a formal electronic SIM card, the electronic SIM card in the activated state is a prepared electronic SIM card, namely the prepared electronic SIM card is already in the activated state, and the electronic SIM card is directly accessed into a mobile network by the prepared electronic SIM card;
s203, after the electronic SIM card is prepared to be accessed into a mobile network, the communication processor is connected with an SIM card management server, acquires a formal electronic SIM card ID from the SIM card management server, compares the formal electronic SIM card ID with the installed formal electronic SIM card ID, deactivates the prepared electronic SIM card and activates the formal electronic SIM card if the formal electronic SIM card ID is the same as the installed formal electronic SIM card ID, and tries to connect the mobile network by using the formal electronic SIM card;
in this step, if the comparison result is different, the communication processor connects the SIM card management server again, and obtains the formal electronic SIM card ID from the SIM card management server, then compares it with the installed formal electronic SIM card ID until the comparison result is the same, and then performs the subsequent steps of deactivating the prepared electronic SIM card, etc.;
s204, the communication processor starts a timer, and tries to connect the mobile network by using the formal electronic SIM card for multiple times in the timing process of the timer until the network is successfully connected before the timing of the timer is finished, and then jumps out of the current step and executes the subsequent steps S205 to S207; or if the connection to the network still fails after the timer expires, the electronic SIM card is prepared to be reactivated, and the process returns to step S203.
S205, if the application processor requests the communication processor to read the SIM card state, or requests to enable the SIM card, or requests to disable the SIM card, or requests to connect the mobile network through the SIM card, the communication processor checks whether the electronic SIM card in the activated state is the electronic SIM card to be prepared, if so, returns the absence of the formal electronic SIM card to the application processor, and does not execute any operation; if not, responding to the network connection management behavior requested by the application processor;
s206, if the application processor requests the communication processor to inquire the current network connection state, the communication processor checks whether the electronic SIM card in the current activation state is a prepared electronic SIM card, if so, the application processor returns network disconnection; if not, responding to the network connection management behavior requested by the application processor;
s207, if the application processor requests the communication processor to receive data or send data through the network connection established by the SIM card, the communication processor checks whether the electronic SIM card in the activated state is a ready electronic SIM card, if so, the application processor returns network unconnected state to the application processor, and does not execute any operation; and if not, responding to the network connection management behavior requested by the application processor.
