The inventor of the application discovers that when the POGO PIN or the USB is adopted to connect the POS host base and the POS host, once the POS host leaves the POS host base, the network connected to the LAN is disconnected. If the POS host is in the process of transaction and the network is disconnected, the transaction is interrupted, the network needs to be accessed again, and the mobility of the POS host is sacrificed.

According to the embodiment of the invention, the first wireless communication module is arranged in the base, and the attribute information of the first wireless communication module in the base is sent to the POS host by using the physical interface, so that the wireless connection between the base and the POS host is completed. Compared with the prior art, the embodiment of the invention has the advantages that the network connection cannot be interrupted because the POS host leaves the base even in the transaction process, the mobility of the POS terminal is realized, and the improvement of user experience is facilitated.

It should be noted that, in practical applications, the first wireless communication module 1011 and the second wireless communication module 1021 are generally WiFi modules.
In one embodiment, the base 101 converts the communication between the POS host 102 and the base 101 through a built-in WiFi module and an ethernet port to a WiFi access point into a WiFi wireless connection, thereby implementing a mobile application of the POS terminal.
In one embodiment, the base 101 may further include a network port socket (not shown) for connecting a network such as an ethernet network; the first wireless communication module may be coupled to the portal socket.
In one embodiment, the base 101 may further include a USB socket (not shown), which allows the base 101 to support a USB interface, and may be externally connected to other USB devices, such as a code scanning gun, a USB keyboard, and the like.
In one embodiment, the attribute information of the first wireless communication module 1011 is preset in the base 101. then, in step 303, it is detected whether the POS host 102 is successfully connected to WiFi; if the connection is successful, ending;
otherwise, if the connection is not successful, go to step 304, i.e. detect whether the WiFi of the POS host 102 is successfully turned on;
if the WiFi of the POS host 102 is not turned on, executing step 3051, namely turning on the WiFi of the POS host 102 and executing step 3052, otherwise, if the WiFi is turned on, executing step 3052, namely connecting the base 101 with the POS host 102 through a POGO PIN; the communication between the base 101 and the POS host 102 is completed based on the POGO PIN1012 by presetting the WiFi chip in the base 101.
After step 3052, step 306 is executed, that is, the POS host 102 receives the WiFi attribute information, and in step 307, the POS host 102 connects to the base WiFi, the wireless connection is successful, and the process ends.
In summary, the POS terminal system 100 provided in the embodiment of the present invention can extend the use scenario of the POS, and can be used even in the case of only an intranet, for example, in the case of a bad basement wireless network environment; and equipment and investment can be reduced, the cost of merchants is saved, and the plug and play function is realized.

Claims (9)

1. A POS terminal system comprising a base and a POS host detachably mounted on the base, comprising:
a first wireless communication module and a physical interface are arranged in the base, and a second wireless communication module is arranged in the POS host;
when the POS host is placed on the base, the POS host is connected with the base through the physical interface;
the base sends the attribute information of the first wireless communication module to the POS host through the physical interface, and wireless connection between the first wireless communication module and the second wireless communication module is completed, so that the POS host is in wireless connection with the base.
2. The POS terminal system of claim 1, wherein the POS host is capable of modifying attribute information of the first wireless communication module when the base and the POS host are connected through the physical interface.
3. The POS terminal system of claim 2, wherein the POS host has a POS interface menu, and wherein the POS host being capable of modifying the attribute information of the first wireless communication module is to:
