在存储卡70正确插入插头连接器14的壳体30中的情况下,盖74被移动就位。在完全插入位置中,盖闩锁构件78定位在闩锁38下方并与盖保持构件40协作以将盖74在壳体30上保持在位。在该位置,盖的端子位置保证构件80定位在端子50的突出或肩部58附近或者与其接触。如果端子50没有正确地定位在端子接收腔42中,则端子位置保证构件80接合端子50的突起或肩部58,以随着盖80移动到完全插入位置而将它们移动就位。替代地,如果端子50没有正确地定位在端子接收腔42中且无法正确地定位,则端子位置保证构件80与端子50的突起或肩部58的接合将阻止盖80的正确插入,从而提供端子50没有正确定位的视觉指示。
在盖80正确定位的情况下,顶部平面构件覆盖端子接收腔42和存储卡接收槽46以防止端子50和存储卡70被移除或损坏。
在插头连接器14完全组装的情况下,插头连接器14被插入插座连接器18的插头接收凹部18中。当发生这种情况时,键合突起37移动到键合槽28中。在插头连接器14与插座连接器18正确对准的情况下,触头针脚20通过壳体30的底壁24中的针脚接收开口44被插入端子50的触头针脚接收部52的开口56中。在完全组装位置中,插头连接器14的闩锁38与插座连接器12的闩锁接收突起26协作,以将插头连接器14保持在插座连接器18的插头接收凹部18中。
参考图6和图7,示出了替代说明性实施例。在该实施例中,说明性连接器组件110具有插座连接器112和插头或插入式连接器114。插座连接器112具有壳体116,壳体16具有在其中延伸的插头接收凹部118。弹性接触臂120设置为与壳体116一体。接触臂120具有存储卡接合部分124,其延伸到插头接收凹部118中。具有弹性闩锁接收臂128的闩锁接收凹部126设置在壳体116上。在所示的实施例中,插座连接器112是通用串行总线(USB)连接器。
插头或插入式连接器114具有壳体130,壳体30具有顶壁132和相反朝向的底壁134,以及在顶壁132和底壁134之间延伸的侧壁136。闩锁138设置在相应的侧壁136上。
存储卡170的一部分从壳体130的底壁134延伸。存储卡170的顶部部分保持或嵌入壳体中,例如通过将壳体130包覆模制在存储卡170的一部分上。存储卡170可以是但不限于EEPROM设备。存储卡170具有接触垫172,其配置为接合插座连接器112的弹性接触臂120的存储卡接合部分124。
在将插头连接器114插入插座连接器112期间,存储卡170被插入插头接收凹部118中。当发生这种情况时,存储卡170接合弹性接触臂120的存储卡接合部分124的引入表面160,使存储卡接合部分124移动到受应力位置。存储卡170的继续插入使得存储卡接合部分124的接触部162接合并移动跨越存储卡170的接触垫172。当弹性接触臂120的存储卡接合部分124处于受应力位置时,接触部162在接触垫172上施加力,使接触部162跨越接触垫172产生擦拭动作,从而有助于接触部162和接触垫172之间的可靠的电连接。在完全插入存储卡170的情况下,接触部162保持与接触垫172的机械和电气接触。
在完全组装位置中,插头连接器114的闩锁138与插座连接器112的弹性闩锁接收臂128协作,以将插头连接器114保持在插座连接器118的插头接收凹部118中。在各种实施例中,插座连接器112定位在基板或印刷电路板(未示出)中,以允许存储卡170与基板或印刷电路板电通信。
使用具有存储卡的连接器允许存储对于连接器所电连接的设备或系统而言是特定的或个人可识别的数据。

Claims (13)

1.一种插入式连接器(14),包括:
壳体(30),其具有存储卡(70),所述存储卡存储能由特定设备识别的数据且允许所述数据容易地被传送;
设置在所述壳体(30)上的至少一个闩锁(38),所述至少一个闩锁(38)与配合连接器(12)协作,以将所述插入式连接器(14)相对于所述配合连接器(12)保持在位;
端子接收腔(42),设置在所述壳体(30)中且从所述壳体(30)的顶壁(32)朝向所述壳体(30)的底壁(34)延伸,所述端子接收腔(42)的纵向轴线平行于所述壳体(30)的纵向轴线。
2.如权利要求1所述的插入式连接器(14),其中所述存储卡(70)是电可擦除可编程只读存储器设备。
3.如权利要求1所述的插入式连接器(14),其中针脚接收开口(44)延伸穿过所述壳体(30)的底壁(34)且定位成与所述端子接收腔(42)对准。
4.如权利要求3所述的插入式连接器(14),其中存储卡接收槽(46)设置在所述壳体(30)中,所述存储卡接收槽(46)从所述顶壁(32)朝向所述底壁(34)延伸,所述存储卡接收槽(46)的纵向轴线平行于所述壳体(30)的纵向轴线且平行于所述端子接收腔(42)的纵向轴线。
5.如权利要求4所述的插入式连接器(14),其中所述存储卡接收槽(46)跨越所述端子接收腔(42),所述存储卡接收槽(46)的一部分与所述端子接收腔(42)中的每一个对准,长形的开口(48)在所述存储卡接收槽(46)和所述端子接收腔(42)之间延伸。
6.如权利要求5所述的插入式连接器(14),其中端子(50)定位在所述端子接收腔(42)中,所述端子(50)具有存储卡接合部(54),所述存储卡接合部(54)是弹性接触臂,所述存储卡接合部(54)具有引入表面(60)和接触部(62),所述接触部(62)设置为与所述存储卡(70)机械和电气连接。
7.如权利要求6所述的插入式连接器(14),其中所述端子(50)具有触头针脚接收部(52),所述触头针脚接收部(52)具有纵向延伸开口(56),其用于接收所述配合连接器(12)的配合触头针脚(20)的插头连接器配合部分(24)。
8.如权利要求7所述的插入式连接器(14),其中所述触头针脚接收部(52)具有突起(58),所述突起与所述端子接收腔(42)的壁协作以将所述端子(50)保持并稳定在所述端子接收腔(42)中。
9.如权利要求8所述的插入式连接器(14),其中所述存储卡(70)具有接触垫(72),所述接触垫配置为接合所述端子(50)的存储卡接合部(54)。
10.如权利要求1所述的插入式连接器(14),其中盖(74)与所述壳体(30)协作,所述盖(74)具有平面构件(76),所述平面构件具有从其延伸的端子位置保证构件(80)和盖闩锁构件(78)。
11.如权利要求1所述的插入式连接器(14),其中所述至少一个闩锁(38)设置在所述壳体(30)的相应的侧壁(36)上。
12.如权利要求11所述的插入式连接器(14),其中盖保持构件(40)在所述至少一个闩锁(38)附近从所述壳体(30)的相应的侧壁(36)延伸,。
13.如权利要求1所述的插入式连接器(14),其中键合突起(37)从所述壳体(30)的相应的侧壁(36)延伸。
