It should be understood that the number of electronic terminals, servers, networks, and portals in fig. 1 are merely illustrative. There may be any number of electronic terminals, networks and servers, depending on the requirements of the actual application scenario.
Fig. 2 shows a schematic view of an electronic terminal according to the present disclosure. The electronic terminal 101 shown in fig. 2 is only an example, which should not bring any limitation to the functions and the scope of use of the embodiments of the present disclosure.
As shown in fig. 2, the electronic terminal 101 is used to represent a general purpose computing device, such as a mobile phone, a computer, and other reading devices, including but not limited to: at least one processor 110, at least one memory 120, and a bus 160 connecting the various system components.
Bus 160 represents one or more of any of several types of bus structures, including a memory bus or memory controller, a peripheral bus, an accelerated graphics port, a processor, or a local bus using any of a variety of bus architectures.
Memory 120 may include readable media in the form of volatile memory, such as Random Access Memory (RAM)121 and/or cache memory 122, and may further include Read Only Memory (ROM) 123.
Program modules 124 are stored in read only memory 123. such program modules 124 include, but are not limited to: an operating system, one or more application programs, other program modules, and program data, each of which, or some combination thereof, may comprise an implementation of a network environment.
The electronic terminal 101 may also communicate with one or more external devices 200, as well as with one or more other devices. Such communication may be via an input/output (I/O) interface 140 and displayed on the display unit 130. And the electronic terminal 1 may also communicate with one or more networks, such as a Local Area Network (LAN), a Wide Area Network (WAN), and/or a public network, such as the internet, through the network adapter 150. It should be understood that although not shown in the figures, the electronic terminal 101 may also incorporate other hardware and/or software modules, including but not limited to: microcode, device drivers, redundant processing units, external disk drive arrays, RAID systems, tape drives, and data backup storage systems, among others.
Fig. 3 shows a schematic diagram of one server 102 of this embodiment. As shown in fig. 3, the server 102 of the present disclosure includes a system database 312, an advertisement database 314, an operation database 316, a processing module 320, a composition module 322, and a sending module 324, wherein the system database 312 stores a plurality of electronic books, and when a user makes a reading request or a purchase request, a specific electronic book may be sent to the electronic terminal 101. The advertisement database 314 stores a plurality of advertisement data, which can be inserted into a reading page of an electronic book and transmitted together with the electronic book. The operation database 316 stores playing conditions corresponding to the advertisement data, wherein the playing conditions include the number of pages or pages of the inserted electronic book, the position, etc. Optionally, the playing condition further includes a keyword or a type of an electronic book, a plurality of advertisement data corresponding to the type of the electronic book may be set in advance, and the number of pages to which the advertisement data is delivered is set in the playing condition, and a page number and a position where the plurality of advertisement data is inserted are specified.
The processing module 320 reads the electronic book, compares the electronic book with the playing conditions stored in the operation database 316 line by line, and sends an insertion instruction when the comparison result meets the playing conditions. The layout module 322 receives the insertion command and generates a blank position under the corresponding line meeting the playing condition. For example, when the playing condition is the size of the advertisement data, the layout module 322 generates a blank position according to the size of the advertisement data, where the blank position may be right below the corresponding line, or a paragraph or a keyword where the corresponding line is located. The size of the advertisement data refers to how large the width and height of the advertisement data account for the number of single lines and the number of lines of the reading page, respectively.
After determining the blank position, the layout module 322 obtains the advertisement data corresponding to the playing condition from the advertisement database 314, and inserts the obtained advertisement data into the blank position. Optionally, when the playing condition is set to place the advertisement data after the chapter, the processing module 320 scans the page in the electronic book, and when the title of the corresponding chapter is found, the layout module 322 searches for a blank position corresponding to the title to insert the advertisement. Finally, the sending module 324 transmits the e-book inserted with the advertisement data to the electronic terminal 101.
In one embodiment, the advertisement data may be detected according to the location of the country or city where the user logs in, or the server 102 may detect the location according to the IP address of the user downloading the e-book, and search the most appropriate advertisement from the advertisement database 314 into the e-book, so as to increase the advertisement playing effect.
In another exemplary scenario, the system includes a user database 318 for storing personal information such as gender, age, preferences, and browsing data found by the user. According to the personal information, the advertisement meeting the user's preference/need can be played more accurately, for example, the electronic book is a fitness related book, the playing condition is set as a sports article advertisement, and the user information searched from the user database 318 is: women, age 30, favoring mountain climbing, or having viewed or purchased mountain climbing related books. Based on the above information, the present embodiment recommends the mountain climbing article to the user-specific woman.
In yet another embodiment scenario, the types of advertisement data in the playing conditions may be set to two types: the electronic book advertisement system comprises first-type advertisement data and second-type advertisement data, wherein the first-type advertisement data correspond to the type or content of the electronic book. Specifically, the first type of advertisement data is set according to the type of the electronic book, and the content of the advertisement data is related to the electronic book without being different from person to person. In contrast, the second type of advertisement data corresponds to user personal information. For example, the e-book is a fitness related book, the playing condition is set as an advertisement of sports goods, and the first type of advertisement data may be fitness goods without difference between men and women, such as: towel, kettle, etc., the second type of advertisement data can be fitness products with obvious difference between men and women, such as: clothing, shoes, etc. After the processing module 320 searches for the playing conditions and the personal information through the operation database 316 and the user database 318, respectively, the typesetting module 322 is notified to insert male or female advertisement data at the position where the second type of advertisement data is set.
It should be noted that, in addition to being set according to the type of the e-book, the advertisement data may also be associated with the advertisement data in advance for keywords of the e-book content with respect to the subject, character, plot, even author name, and the like of the content. For example: the book written by the celebrity or the public character may attract many followers, and therefore the first type of advertisement data may be set as the commodity information which the celebrity or the public character pronounces or recommends. The second type of advertisement data may be, in addition to personal information, a type of related book that the user has browsed or purchased the celebrity or public character.
The playing condition setting and the type of the advertisement data of the present disclosure are exemplarily described above with reference to a plurality of embodiments, and those skilled in the art can adjust the playing condition setting and the type of the advertisement data as needed under the teaching of the present disclosure, and still fall within the protection scope of the present disclosure.
Fig. 4(a) to (c) are schematic diagrams illustrating an advertisement insertion reading page according to an embodiment of the disclosure, and as shown in fig. 4(a), according to the playing condition set in the operation database 316, when the advertisement data is set to be placed in a paragraph of the reading page 410, if the playing condition has no specified paragraph, the first paragraph end is taken as an insertion position. The paragraph is determined by the processing module 320 to determine whether the reading page 410 is blank after the period. In other words, if there is no character at all after the period, it is shown that the period has represented the end of the paragraph, and therefore the advertisement data can be inserted under the blank. Next, below the end of the paragraph of the reading page 410, the size of the advertisement data is determined according to the size of the advertisement data preset in the playing condition, and the size of the advertisement data is determined by how much the width and height of the advertisement data occupy the number of words in a single line and the number of lines in a single line of the reading page, respectively. The size high is converted to a number of lines by the layout module 322 and a space corresponding to the number of lines is reserved under the preceding paragraph for the processing module 320 to extract the advertisement data 420 from the advertisement database 314 and insert the reserved space.
In one implementation scenario, as shown in fig. 4(b), when the width of the screen of the inserted advertisement data 421 is smaller than the number of characters in a single line of the reading page 411, the processing module 320 converts the size of the advertisement data into the number of lines by the layout module 322 according to the size of the advertisement data preset in the playing condition, and converts the width of the size into the number of characters in a single line. The advertisement data 421 may be placed on the right side of the reading page 411 or, as shown in fig. 4(c), on the left side of the reading page 411. When the advertisement data 421 is placed on the right side or the left side of the reading page 410, characters may be arranged near the other side of the advertisement data 421.
In another implementation scenario, the processor 320 of the electronic terminal 101 may detect the dominant hand of the user according to the operation gesture of the user, and if the dominant hand of the user is the right hand, the advertisement data 421 may be placed on the left side of the reading page 411 with a better visual effect; conversely, if the user is dominant with the left hand, the advertisement data 421 may be placed on the right side of the reading page 411, and the user habit may be stored in the user personal information of the user database 318. When the processing module 320 reads the electronic book, the electronic book is compared with the playing conditions stored in the operation database 316 line by line, and when the comparison result meets the playing conditions, the processing module 320 searches the personal information of the user in the user database 318 to know the user's dominant hand, and sends an insertion instruction, and the typesetting module 322 receives the insertion instruction to determine the position where the advertisement data 421 is placed according to the user's dominant hand.
Fig. 5(a) to (b) are schematic diagrams illustrating an advertisement insertion page according to another embodiment of the present disclosure, for example, in fig. 5(a), if the placement position of a corresponding advertisement is determined by the keyword "ABA", each line of text is read by the processing module 320 and the playing condition is compared, when the keyword "ABA" appears, if the playing condition has no designated position, the advertisement is inserted from below the keyword "ABA", according to the size of advertisement data preset in the playing condition, the size is converted into the number of lines by the layout module 322, and a blank corresponding to the number of lines is reserved below the aforementioned paragraph for the processing module to extract the advertisement data 520 from the advertisement database 314 and insert the advertisement data into the reserved blank.
Referring to FIG. 5(b), the playback condition is inserted into the first paragraph. The paragraph is determined by the processing module 320 searching for the period closest to the keyword in the reading page and determining whether the reading page is blank after the period, in other words, if there is no character at all after the period, it is shown that the period is already the end of the paragraph, so that the advertisement data 520 can be inserted below the blank.
The typesetting module 322 converts the size of the advertisement data preset in the playing condition into the number of lines under the end of the paragraph of the reading page 510, and reserves a blank corresponding to the number of lines under the paragraph to insert the advertisement data 520.
It is to be understood by persons skilled in the art that the foregoing description is illustrative and not restrictive, and that modifications may be made by persons skilled in the art as desired.
Fig. 6 is a flowchart illustrating a method for inserting an advertisement into an e-book according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, in conjunction with the system architecture of fig. 1, the electronic terminal of fig. 2, and the server of fig. 3. It should be noted that the system architecture, the electronic terminal and the server are only one implementation example for facilitating understanding of the embodiments of the present disclosure, and the embodiments of the present disclosure can be applied to any applicable system architecture, electronic terminal and server.
As shown in fig. 6, the method 600 may include: storing playing conditions corresponding to the plurality of advertisement data; reading the electronic book, comparing the electronic book with the playing conditions line by line, and sending an insertion instruction when a comparison result meets the playing conditions; receiving the insertion instruction, generating a blank position below a corresponding line meeting the playing condition, acquiring advertisement data corresponding to the playing condition, and inserting the acquired advertisement data into the blank position; and transmitting the electronic book inserted with the advertisement data. As will be described in more detail below.
In step 601, the playing conditions corresponding to a plurality of advertisement data are stored. The playing conditions include the inserted e-book page number or number, position, and size of the advertisement data, etc., as described above. The size of the advertisement data refers to how large the width and height of the advertisement data account for the number of single line words and the number of lines of the reading page, respectively. The method 600 may select the position where the advertisement data is inserted according to the playing condition.
In step 602, the electronic book is read and compared with the playing condition line by line, and when the comparison result meets the playing condition, an insertion instruction is issued. Specifically, the playing conditions include page numbers or page numbers, positions, etc. of inserted electronic books, optionally, the playing conditions further include types of keywords or electronic books, a plurality of corresponding advertisement data may be preset for the types of the electronic books, the number of pages for delivering the advertisement data is set in the playing conditions, and the page numbers and positions for inserting the plurality of advertisement data are specified. The method 600 reads the e-book according to the playing condition, and sends out an instruction for inserting advertisement data when the e-book is compared line by line to the page number and paragraph or line number that are met.
In step 603, an insertion instruction is received, a blank position is generated below the corresponding line meeting the playing condition, advertisement data corresponding to the playing condition is obtained, and the obtained advertisement data is inserted into the blank position. For example, when the playing condition is the size of the advertisement data, the method 600 generates a blank position according to the size of the advertisement data, where the blank position may be right below the corresponding line, or after the paragraph or the keyword where the corresponding line is located, or after the chapter.
In one implementation scenario, when the playback condition does not explicitly specify an insertion location, the first paragraph is implied as the insertion location. The paragraph is determined by determining whether a reading page is blank after a period in the reading page by the method 600. In other words, if there is no character at all after the period, it is shown that the period has represented the end of the paragraph, and therefore the advertisement data can be inserted under the blank. Next, under the end of the paragraph on the reading page, the method 600 converts the size of the advertisement data into a number of lines to reserve a blank space according to the size of the advertisement data preset in the playing condition. It will be appreciated by persons skilled in the art that the manner of the decision paragraphs described above are exemplary and not limiting, and that those skilled in the art may make modifications as required.
In another implementation scenario, when the width of the screen into which the advertisement data is inserted is smaller than the number of characters in a single line of the reading page, characters may be arranged on the other side of the advertisement data.
In step 604, the e-book inserted into the advertisement data is transmitted. The method 600 reserves a space corresponding to the number of lines for inserting advertisement data as previously described. Where the advertisement data type may be set to two types: the electronic book advertisement system comprises first-type advertisement data and second-type advertisement data, wherein the first-type advertisement data correspond to the type or content of the electronic book. Specifically, the advertisement content is set according to the type of the e-book, and the advertisement content is fixed and related to the e-book without being different from person to person. On the contrary, the second type of advertisement data corresponds to the personal information of the user, and the specific implementation has been described above, and is not described herein again.
In some possible embodiments, various aspects of the disclosure may also be implemented in the form of a program product comprising program code for causing a processor to perform the above described method when the program code is executed by the processor.
The program product may employ any combination of one or more readable media. The readable medium may be a readable signal medium or a readable storage medium. A readable storage medium may be, for example, but not limited to, an electronic, magnetic, optical, electromagnetic, infrared, or semiconductor system, apparatus, or device, or any combination of the foregoing. More specific examples (a non-exhaustive list) of the readable storage medium include: an electrical connection having one or more wires, a portable disk, a hard disk, a Random Access Memory (RAM), a read-only memory (ROM), an erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM or flash memory), an optical fiber, a portable compact disc read-only memory (CD-ROM), an optical storage device, a magnetic storage device, or any suitable combination of the foregoing.
As shown in fig. 7, a program product 3 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is shown, which may employ a portable compact disc read only memory (CD-ROM) and include program code, and may be run on a terminal device, such as a personal computer.
