The invention provides an online capacitance life estimation system and method, which comprises an online equipment charging data acquisition unit, a capacitance value calculation unit, a capacitance life curve fitting unit and a capacitance accumulated service time calculation unit, wherein the capacitance value calculation unit is used for calculating the capacitance value of a capacitor; the capacitance value of the capacitor is estimated by measuring the charging time of the capacitor, which is not influenced by a load, the accumulated service time of the capacitor is calculated by fitting a service life curve of the capacitor, and the service life of the capacitor is warned by judging the actual capacitance value and the accumulated service time of the capacitor; the calculation amount is small, the estimation precision is high, and the operability is strong.
