Description

Arrangement comprising compartments and slide-in modules
Technical Field
The invention relates to an arrangement comprising a module for sliding into or removal from a housing and a slide-in compartment for receiving the module.
Background
Modules which can be inserted into a switchgear cabinet and can still be removed therefrom are known from the prior art. Such modules can be inserted into the switchgear cabinet in the manner of drawers and still be removable therefrom. Modules of this type can carry, accommodate or be constructed so as to be electrical equipment.
In practice, there is a need for a slide-in compartment and/or housing or cabinet into which such modules can be inserted and still be removable, which can be constructed as easily as possible.
Disclosure of Invention
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an arrangement which is composed of as few components as possible.
According to the invention, the aforementioned object is solved by an arrangement having the features of patent claim 1. According to this, the arrangement initially described is characterized in that the module is configured to be reversible from the module (which is removable from the slide-in compartment), wherein in the slide-in state of the module at least one side wall and/or compartment rear wall and/or compartment base of the slide-in compartment forms a side wall and/or rear wall and/or bottom wall and/or ceiling of at least one module.
According to the invention, the wall or base of the slide-in compartment simultaneously serves as the wall or base of the skeleton-like module, which itself has no side walls, no bottom wall and/or no ceiling at least on one side. Due to the combination of the module and the slide-in compartment, different protection types up to IP54 can be achieved. This applies to the type of protection of the outer shell, but also to the type of protection within the shell. The type of protection for the different modules and slide-in compartments within the arrangement can be designed differently for each assembly if desired. According to the invention, this approach of having a lower protection type of the modules of a higher protection type through the shell is applicable to "withdrawable" technologies, i.e. removable modules.
Advantageously, the slide-in compartment comprises a receiving opening, a compartment base and a top plate, wherein the compartment base and the top plate are constructed as identical components. The number of horizontal compartment bases can be reduced due to the combination of open modules and closed slide-in compartments at least in some areas. With preferably cut-out compartment bases and an assigned ceiling for each slide-in compartment, ventilation can be improved, installation space can be used more efficiently and material can be saved.
No special ceiling or ceiling panel need be used on the upper side of each slide-in compartment. The upper boundary is formed by the compartment base of a second slide-in compartment located above the first slide-in compartment. This results in a more efficient use of installation space and material savings. Only the last quasi-uppermost (square-upper most) slide-in compartment at the upper end of the housing requires an additional top plate as an upper cover. As a result, a structure of the slide-in compartment with few components is achieved.
Advantageously, at least one side wall is provided, which has two guide webs, wherein the lower guide web is assigned to or faces the compartment base and the upper guide web is assigned to or faces the top plate. The guide legs of the modules can lie on or against these guide webs and prevent up-and-down movement. The guide webs are the short legs of the U-shaped side walls. The guide webs can serve as guide counter elements for the modules.
Further advantageously, the side wall is assigned a wall strip at the bottom side of the compartment and the side wall is assigned a wall strip at the top side. The guide legs are guided transversely by wall strips. In this respect, the wall strips can also serve as guiding counter-elements for the modules.
Advantageously, the wall strip receives a spring element extending in the direction of the interior of the slide-in compartment. The spring element may be made of metal or plastic. It is used to compensate for lateral tolerances of the module. The force is applied to the module laterally by means of the spring element. If the spring element is made of metal, it contributes to the grounding of the module.
Further advantageously, the compartment base has a recess for receiving the grid-like portion. These grid-like portions may facilitate air circulation.
The modules, which are constructed as so-called skeleton modules, have no side walls, no top plate and no bottom wall. Modules of this type, in which the electrical components carried by the module are substantially freely accessible, must be pushed into a slide-in compartment of the type described herein for operational use. The slide-in compartment brings about safe guiding of the module, ensures correct contacting of the electrical connections, brings about a secure locking and ensures that a type of protection is achieved.
The slide-in compartment must be mounted in a housing or shell that receives the components that allow the module to be connected to and in controlled connection with the outside consumer. Typically, several slide-in compartments are placed in the control panel.
Slide-in compartments can be realized in several ways. It may be implemented as a single slide-in compartment that fits exactly the particular respective module, or as a plurality of slide-in compartments for several modules arranged next to each other. Various arrangements of modules on top of each other are also possible.
Advantageously, an arrangement comprises a slide-in compartment of the type described herein and a module for insertion into or removal from the housing, wherein the module comprises a base body having a front wall and a rear wall, wherein parallel elongate strip portions extend between the front wall and the rear wall, the longitudinal extension of the elongate strip portions spacing the front wall and the rear wall apart, and wherein at least one strip portion has a guiding leg for cooperation with a guiding counter element.
The strip portion may have a carrying function and a guiding function. The strip portions substantially increase the torsional stability of the module during its movement. In this way, electrical devices, such as contacts, switches or control units, can be effectively protected. The strip section can cooperate with a guide counter element in the housing or in a slide-in compartment of the switchgear cabinet in such a way that the module is reliably guided during insertion and removal.
Advantageously, the guide legs project freely outwards with the outer edge. Alternatively or additionally, the strip portion has only one guide leg. This allows a particularly defined guiding of the module. The strip-shaped guide leg portion increases the bending rigidity of the strip portion. The freely projecting guide legs additionally create space for assembly elements such as screws.
It is further advantageous if the strip section has three legs, wherein the guide leg and the two further mounting legs are each inclined relative to one another and have a projecting outer edge. As a result, the strip portion has a star-shaped type. The radial projecting mounting legs do not interfere with the guide legs when the screws are tightened to these.
In this context, it is advantageous if at least one mounting leg has at least one threaded hole or a plurality of threaded holes. Due to the grid-like or pattern-like arrangement of the threaded holes on the bar portions, the device can be fastened in the module in a number of ways. As a result, adjustable mechanical coding of the module is also possible.
Advantageously, the guide leg has at least one recess. The recess or recesses may constitute a mechanical coding, so that the module can only be brought into a specific position in the housing or in the switchgear cabinet.
It is further advantageous if the strip section is designed to be Y-shaped in cross section. Preferably, all strip sections are configured Y-shaped. This shape makes it possible to accommodate screws without the screw heads interfering with the sliding function of the module. The Y-shape results in high torsional stability and bending strength of the strip section and/or the whole module.
Advantageously, four bar portions are provided. The removable and movable module is designed such that four strip sections extending in the depth direction (i.e. in the insertion direction) undertake a mechanical connection of the front wall and the rear wall and furthermore a guidance of the module in both directions. In this respect, the strip portions are the bearing portion and the guide portion.
Further advantageously, the front wall and the rear wall are interconnected by means of at least one strip section or by all strip sections. The strip portion allows good access to the equipment housed within the module.
Advantageously, the at least one strip portion may be connected or form-fittingly connected to the front wall and/or the rear wall. The form-fitting connection simplifies the assembly of the module. Preferably, four strip parts of the Y shape are connected to the front and rear walls in a form-fitting manner and are fixed by riveting, screwing, latching or welding.
It is further advantageous if the arrangement comprises a module and a housing of the type described here, wherein the module is movable in an insertion direction or a removal direction, and wherein the insertion direction and the removal direction are oriented parallel to the at least one strip section. The module can therefore be used in switchgear or switchgear cabinets. Use in the low pressure range is possible. The IP43 protection type can be achieved by using a sealing strip. The size of the module is determined by the size of the front and rear walls.
The module, the slide-in compartment and/or the arrangement may be used in a low-voltage switchgear, in particular in a low-voltage switchgear.
The protection type of the module may be IPxxB.

Located at the rear end of the slide-in compartment 14a is a compartment rear wall 22 which receives the means for contact. The compartment rear wall 22 may be completely or partially omitted if these means for contacting are arranged in the surrounding control panel.
The slide-in compartment 14a described herein is formed by a compartment base 16 secured in the control panel. The compartment base 16 has large recesses 21 which can receive grid-like sections which are necessary in all cases to achieve the type of protection required. The further cut-outs 23 enable fixing and/or locking of the modules in their respective positions.
These positions are usually the so-called separation position in which a reliable separation of the electrical contacts is achieved and the so-called operating position in which a fully connected contact is achieved.
The left and right delimitation is achieved by a U-shaped side wall 17, which is likewise provided with large cutouts for the air circulation and for receiving protective elements.
The short legs of these U-shaped side walls (i.e. the guide webs 18) serve at the bottom and at the top as a guide for the strip portions 4 of the modules having a Y-shaped cross-section, but only in upward and downward movement.
The lateral guidance of the module is undertaken by four wall strips 19 which are configured as plastic strips. A plastic strip is arranged in each corner of the slide-in compartment 14 a. They are located on the short legs of the U-shaped side walls 17 and connect the otherwise still loose side walls 17 to the lower compartment base 16 and the upper compartment base 16 in a form-fitting manner.
To fix the plastic strips, these are screwed to the side walls 17. The plastic strips are configured such that they can receive the spring elements 20. These spring elements 20 can be made of metal or plastic. They are used for lateral compensation of tolerances of the module. In particular, eight spring elements 20 are provided in the slide-in compartment 14 a. The spring element 20 is configured to be rectangular and flat.
If the spring elements 20 are made of metal, they contribute to the grounding of the module. The plastic strips have the additional function of fixing the grid-like portion 24 to achieve a type of protection in the lateral direction and of fastening the counterparts for the mechanical coding of the module.
The housing 14 in which the slide-in compartment 14a is arranged or configured is not limited to the configuration of a switchgear cabinet, but may be configured as any container or rack into which the module may be slid.
