Description

Speed limiting method and device
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a speed limiting method and apparatus.
Background
In a wireless network, a wireless terminal accessing the wireless network generally needs to be rate-limited to realize reasonable utilization of bandwidth resources.
In a speed-limiting scheme, an administrator configures a speed-limiting value on each radio frequency unit of an Access Point (AP) in a wireless network, where the speed-limiting value is used as the sum of actual transmission rates of wireless terminals accessing the radio frequency unit. When a wireless terminal accesses or leaves the radio frequency unit, the AP adjusts the speed limit value of each current online wireless terminal on the radio frequency unit to be M/N, wherein M is the configured speed limit value, and N is the number of the current online wireless terminals on the radio frequency unit, so as to limit the bandwidth resources of the wireless terminals accessed on the radio frequency unit.
It can be seen that, in the above speed-limiting scheme, once the wireless terminal accesses or leaves, the AP performs speed-limiting adjustment operation, so that the AP frequently adjusts the speed-limiting value under the condition that the wireless terminal frequently roams or frequently goes up and down, resulting in a heavy load on the AP.
In addition, the AP performs unified speed limitation on all wireless terminals accessed to one radio frequency unit, and does not distinguish between a limited wireless terminal (i.e., a wireless terminal requiring speed limitation) and a common wireless terminal (i.e., a wireless terminal not requiring speed limitation), which may affect user experience of users holding the common wireless terminal, and also may cause waste of bandwidth resources due to the fact that the actual transmission rate of some wireless terminals is lower than the speed limit value averagely allocated by the AP.

Next, examples of the present application will be described in detail.
The embodiment of the application provides a speed limiting method, which is applied to an AC in a wireless network, and as shown in fig. 1, the method may include the following steps:
s11, according to the access information of the wireless terminal reported by at least one AP in the wireless network, the wireless terminal needing speed limitation is determined.
And S12, calculating the sum of actual sending rate values included in the access information of all the wireless terminals needing speed limiting currently in the wireless network.
And S13, if the sum of the calculated speed values is larger than a preset speed threshold value, or the calculated speed sum and the current recorded speed limit value are both smaller than the preset speed threshold value, adjusting the speed limit value according to a preset adjustment strategy.
S14, informing all APs accessed by the wireless terminal needing speed limit to delete the speed limit value configured on the radio frequency unit, configuring the adjusted speed limit value as the speed limit value of the wireless terminal needing speed limit to the corresponding radio frequency unit, and using the adjusted speed limit value by the corresponding radio frequency unit to limit the speed of the wireless terminal needing speed limit.
In this step, for any AP of the APs to which all the wireless terminals that need to limit the speed currently access, the AC may send two notification messages to the AP, where one notification message is used to instruct the AP to delete all the speed limit values configured on the radio frequency unit (i.e., the speed limit value of the wireless terminal that needs to limit the speed on the corresponding radio frequency unit), and the other notification message is used to instruct the AP to configure the wireless terminal that needs to limit the speed on the corresponding radio frequency unit according to the speed limit value of the wireless terminal that needs to limit the speed issued by the AC.
The AC may also send a notification message to the AP to notify the AP to perform relevant deletion and configuration of the speed limit. Of course, the AC may also notify the AP in other ways, which are not listed here.
In the embodiment of the application, in order to avoid frequent speed limit adjustment of the AP, aggravate the load of the AP, and avoid some meaningless adjustments occurring in the process of speed limit adjustment, the AP does not execute speed limit operation any more, the AP is only responsible for reporting access information of the wireless terminal accessed on its radio frequency unit to the AC, and the AC decides whether speed limit adjustment is needed and how to adjust according to the access information to reduce the load of the AP, wherein each piece of access information may include information such as the AP accessed by the wireless terminal, the radio frequency unit accessed by the wireless terminal, the MAC address of the wireless terminal, the access service identifier, the actual transmission rate, and the like.
Here, the AP may report the access information of the wireless terminal according to a reporting policy issued by the AC, for example, the reporting policy is reporting according to a set interval, and thus, the actual sending rate of the wireless terminal within a period of time after the wireless terminal is stably on line is truly reflected to a certain extent, and the shorter the set interval is, the higher the accuracy of subsequent speed limit adjustment is.
Once the AC receives the access information reported by the AP, the speed limit process is triggered, i.e., the steps S11 to S14 are performed.
Specifically, in the above step S11, the AC may determine the wireless terminal that needs speed limiting by:
judging whether the MAC address included in the access information of each wireless terminal is in a preset speed-limiting terminal list or not aiming at each wireless terminal;
and if so, determining the wireless terminal as the wireless terminal needing speed limitation.
It should be noted that, if the MAC address included in the access information of the wireless terminal is not in the preset speed-limiting terminal list, or the access service identifier included in the access information of the wireless terminal is not the identifier of the access service that starts the speed-limiting service function, it is all indicated that the wireless terminal is not the wireless terminal that needs speed limiting, and this procedure is ended.
After determining the wireless terminals needing speed limitation, the AC can further perform the following operations for each determined wireless terminal needing speed limitation:
Judging whether the access information of the wireless terminal is recorded locally;
if so, updating the recorded access information of the wireless terminal into the received access information of the wireless terminal, and refreshing a corresponding aging timer;
if not, recording the access information of the wireless terminal, and setting an aging timer for the access information of the wireless terminal;
and when the aging timer is overtime, deleting the currently recorded access information of the wireless terminal, informing the AP accessed by the wireless terminal to delete the current speed limit value of the wireless terminal, returning to execute the step S12, and re-optimizing the speed limit value to avoid the offline wireless terminal from occupying bandwidth resources.
Specifically, in the step S13, the AC may adjust the speed limit value by:
in the first case, when the sum of the calculated speed values is greater than a preset speed threshold, the speed limit value is adjusted in the following way:
changing the speed limit value into the highest actual sending speed value in the actual sending speed values of all the current wireless terminals needing speed limit, and adjusting the changed speed limit value downwards according to a preset down-regulation proportion, for example, 5% down-regulation;
Modifying the actual sending speed values higher than the speed limit value after down regulation in the actual sending speed values of all the wireless terminals needing speed limit into the speed limit value after down regulation;
recalculating the actual sending rate values of all current wireless terminals needing rate limiting, taking the rate limiting value after down regulation as the rate limiting value when the sum of the recalculated rate values is greater than a preset rate threshold, and returning to the step of changing the rate limiting value into the highest actual sending rate value in the actual sending rate values of all current wireless terminals needing rate limiting until the sum of the recalculated rate values is not greater than the preset rate threshold.
In the second case, when the calculated sum of the rates and the currently recorded speed limit value are both smaller than the preset rate threshold value, the speed limit value is adjusted in the following way:
and (4) adjusting the speed limit value according to a preset up-adjusting proportion, such as 5% up-adjusting, wherein the adjusted speed limit value is not greater than a preset speed threshold value.
Further, in the embodiment of the present application, the AC may further perform the following operations:
when the calculated sum of the rates is smaller than a preset rate threshold and the speed limit value is equal to the preset rate threshold, if roaming wireless terminals exist in all the wireless terminals needing speed limit, informing the AP before roaming of the roaming wireless terminal to delete the speed limit value of the roaming wireless terminal, sending the speed limit value to the AP after roaming of the roaming wireless terminal, so that the AP after roaming of the roaming wireless terminal configures the speed limit value into the speed limit value of the roaming wireless terminal (the speed limit value is actually configured to a radio frequency unit accessed by the roaming wireless terminal), and using the speed limit value to limit the speed of the roaming wireless terminal; if no roaming wireless terminal exists in the wireless terminals needing speed limiting currently, the process is ended.
In the operation flow, for each wireless terminal needing speed limitation, whether the access information of the wireless terminal includes the accessed AP and the accessed radio frequency unit is changed compared with the previous record or not can be judged, if the change occurs, the wireless terminal is indicated to be roaming, and the wireless terminal is determined to be a roaming terminal; if no change occurs, the wireless terminal is not roamed, and the wireless terminal is determined not to be a roaming terminal.
The above speed limiting method is described in detail with reference to specific embodiments.
Suppose that an AP in a wireless network reports to an AC a wireless terminal newly accessed on a radio frequency unit of the AP; assuming that the AC currently records access information of 2 wireless terminals requiring speed limit on the radio frequency unit, the currently recorded speed limit value is P, the preset speed threshold value is M, and the speed limit process executed by the AC is as follows (as shown in fig. 2):
s21: access information for the wireless terminal is received.
S22: judging whether the MAC address included in the access information of the wireless terminal is in a preset speed-limiting terminal list or not; if the determination result is no, step S23 is executed, and if the determination result is yes, step S24 is executed.
S23: the flow is ended.
S24: judging whether an access service identifier included in the access information of the wireless terminal is an identifier of an access service with a speed-limiting service function; if the determination result is no, step S23 is executed, and if the determination result is yes, step S25 is executed.
S25: judging whether the access information of the wireless terminal is recorded locally; if the determination result is yes, step S26 is executed, and if the determination result is no, step S27 is executed.
S26: and updating the recorded access information of the wireless terminal into the received access information of the wireless terminal, and refreshing the corresponding aging timer.
S27: and recording the access information of the wireless terminal, and setting an aging timer for the access information of the wireless terminal.
And when the aging timer is overtime, deleting the access information of the wireless terminal, informing the AP accessed by the wireless terminal to delete the current speed limit value of the wireless terminal, and continuing to execute step S28.
S28: and calculating the sum of actual sending rate values included in the access information of all the current wireless terminals needing speed limiting in the wireless network.
S29: judging whether the sum of the calculated speed values is greater than M; if the determination result is yes, step S30 is executed, and if the determination result is no, step S32 is executed.
S30: according to adjustment strategy 1, P is adjusted to obtain P1.
The specific adjustment process is described in the first case above, and will not be described in detail here. After that, step S31 is executed.
S31: and informing the AP to delete the speed limit value configured on the radio frequency unit, and configuring P1 as the speed limit value of the 3 wireless terminals on the radio frequency unit so that the radio frequency unit limits the speed of the 3 wireless terminals by using P1.
S32: judging whether P is smaller than M; if the determination result is yes, step S33 is executed, and if the determination result is no, step S35 is executed.
S33: according to the adjustment strategy 2, P is adjusted to obtain P2.
The specific adjustment process is described in the second case above, and will not be described in detail here. After that, step S34 is executed.
S34: and informing the AP to delete the speed limit value configured on the radio frequency unit, and configuring P2 as the speed limit value of the 3 wireless terminals on the radio frequency unit so that the radio frequency unit limits the speed of the 3 wireless terminals by using P2.
S35: judging whether P is equal to M; if the determination result is yes, step S36 is executed, and if the determination result is no, step S23 is executed.
S36: if the roaming wireless terminal exists in all the wireless terminals needing speed limiting currently, the AP before roaming of the roaming wireless terminal is informed to delete the speed limiting value (namely P) of the roaming wireless terminal, and the P is sent to the AP after roaming of the roaming wireless terminal, so that the AP after roaming of the roaming wireless terminal configures the P as the speed limiting value of the roaming wireless terminal, and the P is used for limiting the speed of the roaming wireless terminal.
It should be noted that, when the AC finishes the step S31, or finishes the step S34, or finishes the step S36, it means that the speed limiting process is finished, and once the subsequent AC receives the access information of the wireless terminal requiring speed limiting, which is accessed by the certain radio frequency unit or the certain radio frequency units and reported by the AP or other APs, the speed limiting process is restarted; once the aging timer of the access information of a certain wireless terminal is found to be over, the above step S28 is executed again, and the bandwidth resource is adjusted.
According to the technical scheme, the AC can distinguish the wireless terminals needing speed limitation according to the access information of the wireless terminals reported by the AP, specially decide how to adjust the speed limitation values of the wireless terminals according to the corresponding actual sending speed aiming at all the wireless terminals needing speed limitation, and send the adjusted speed limitation values to the corresponding AP so as to realize the speed limitation of the wireless terminals. The speed limiting mode can reasonably balance bandwidth resources, reduce the waste of the bandwidth resources, does not influence a common wireless terminal, and improves the user experience.

when the calculated sum of the rates is smaller than the preset rate threshold and the speed limit value is equal to the preset rate threshold, if roaming wireless terminals exist in all the wireless terminals needing speed limit, the AP before roaming of the roaming wireless terminals is informed to delete the speed limit value of the roaming wireless terminals, the speed limit value is sent to the AP, so that the AP after roaming of the roaming wireless terminals is enabled, the AP after roaming of the roaming wireless terminals enables the speed limit value to be configured as the speed limit value of the roaming wireless terminals, and the speed limit value is used for limiting the speed of the roaming wireless terminals.
10. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the determining module is further configured to:
judging whether the access information of the wireless terminal is recorded locally or not aiming at each determined wireless terminal needing speed limiting;
if so, updating the recorded access information of the wireless terminal into the received access information of the wireless terminal, and refreshing a corresponding aging timer;
if not, recording the access information of the wireless terminal, and setting an aging timer for the access information of the wireless terminal;
and when the aging timer is overtime, deleting the currently recorded access information of the wireless terminal, informing an AP (access point) accessed by the wireless terminal to delete the current speed limit value of the wireless terminal, and returning to the step of calculating the sum of actual sending speed values included in the access information of all the wireless terminals needing speed limit currently in the wireless network.
